55 Ten November by Steven Dietz dir Jonathan Browning, Wig Theatre. Ten November is a lyrical rumination on the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior, November 10, 1975. A 9 person cast augmented with 3 vocalists and in our case two guitars, we performed as an off night at the old National Pastime space on N Sheridan, with a final performance on November 10th, at the old Annoyance space on Clark & Grace. I had to move the morning after opening. My dad offered to let me borrow his pickup for the move, but I had to take the train out there to pick it up. I told the new tenants I would be out by five. I woke up late and missed my train and the next one wasn’t for another two hours. When I finally got out there, no keys. So I had to hunt my father down, get my VERY pregnant stepsister who lived close to let me borrow her car so I could drive to the job site where my dad was, pick up the keys, drop off the car, get the truck and then get back into the city and START moving. Which by then was 2 o’clock. Because of the time crunch and the fact that I had to get the truck back to the burbs that night, I lost a lot of actual tangible memorabilia (and my record player and albums) because I didn’t have time to move them. I was also moving into a roommate situation, where the two guys had been there for a while, so no room for extraneous furniture outside my bedroom. I had put money down on a studio, but they denied me at the last minute due to my previous money woes and defaulting on my student loan. Luckily my friend Becks told me my other friend Ray Wild was looking for a roommate to fill a vacancy. In 1997 I was paying $278 a month for my bedroom in a 3 BR Lincoln Square apt. No worries! Cigarette Sandwich is a sketch comedy group, they do comedy streams on Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/annoyancetheatre. The Annoyance Theatre is one Jon worked with for ages, and Cigarette Sandwich is one of the groups within it. He’s done stuff with Cigarette Sandwich for yeeeeears. Jon is hosting the next Power Hour tomorrow at 8pm EST, so it’ll be a bunch of sketches and fun times!

Mark Sutton

Had my first class with the Annoyance. AND I LOVE IT! It may be because it's an level 2 course. Or it may be because Mark is amazing. But I came out of it feeling refreshed and happy with improv in the city. I really enjoy that most of the people in my class are improvisers from other cities too. It gives us something to bond over. 

Mark Sutton is amazing probably because he is a founding member of The Annoyance and has appeared in more than 75 Annoyance productions including Co-ed Prison Sluts, The Real Live Brady Bunch and Manson: The Musical. He's also in BASSprov with Joe Bill. 

There was a jam after class that we all went to. We got to do about a 20 minute montage. It was awesome to be able to get that much stage time. I loved every moment of it. I played strong too. Back line support, pulling in patterns and dropping great puns and strong initiations. Super happy with it all!
