Poor Rowena...after all of that, even if Billie had been willing to deal, she couldn’t have helped.  Demons go to the Empty when they die.  She couldn’t bring Crowley back if she wanted to.

Poor Cas...I’ve wondered a few times whether he’d turn out to be the last of his kind, and it looks like it might actually happen.  Even if he’s able to find Gabriel and bring him home to Heaven, unless they’re able to find Jack to either bring back the dead angels from the Empty or make new ones, the days of the standard-issue angels may be drawing to a close.  And whatever happens, Cas has to live with the fact that he’s the one who killed so many of them.

Where the hell is Lucifer?  And Anael?

And let’s stop for a moment and contemplate exactly what that would mean, if all the souls in Heaven fell back to Earth and became ghosts.  Chaos and mayhem and death, oh, yes.  And no sending them on, because there’d be no peaceful existence anymore to send them to, but consider the implications for the boys personally.
