Is there a masterlist of, like, actors and celebrities that have come forward for trans rights?
I know the internet has all sorts of collections of people who've done something messed up and those always depress me but reading about David Tennant being supportive in the face of the UK government and current legislation and stuff really hit me and I'd love to be able to see who else is out there standing up for us and what's right.
If not, here's a list I'm putting together, feel free to add to it or add context in the notes if you want! I'm including celebrities who have affirmed their support for trans family members even if they're not doing other activism. I'm also only listing celebrities I know of, and this list does not in any way endorse any problematic stuff any of them may have done outside of the topic.
Just making this list is cheering me up a lot tbh

Are you ready for 10 Fantastical movies like Wicked? It’s not new that Broadway stars have shined through the big screens, generated revenues, and impressed the critics through their bewitching performances. Just earlier this year Rachel Zegler blew us away in the Hunger Games prequel and will now star in Disney's live-action remake of Snow White. Carrying on the legacy of so many before her. And now Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s musical fantasy film Wicked has taken over the box office proving that fantasy movies are still adored by the masses. A fan of this genre? Then you’re at the right place. 1. Wonka (2023) Starting this list off with probably the most delicious fantasy that has ever been imagined. Willy Wonka’s wildest venture turns into the most iconic chocolate factory of all time. Watch how the candy hero built the favorite dreamland of every child. Just hours of candies, chocolates, innovations, and lots of fun adventures.  2. Beauty and the Beast (2017) An enchanted rose, haunted castle, talking furniture, cursed prince, and the perfect beauty who is set on an unforgettable journey. A timeless classic that has been adapted in genius ways throughout the history of cinema. But this live-action remake seems the most accurate (second to the animated one of course) and magically powerful adaptation of it. 3. Oz: The Great and Powerful (2013) A prequel to the OG Wizard of Oz story that tells the tale of how the Wizard of Oz came into being. Featuring the original land of Oz where arrives a magician who is mistaken for a savior. It has a heavy star cast and magical creatures including the three Oz witches (Theodora, Evanora, Glinda). True fantasy lovers would not want to miss this. 4. Ella Enchanted (2004) As magical as its name! Ann Hathaway’s beautiful fairy tale unfolds the story of the titular Ella. Cursed with the curse of obedience, she must follow all orders given to her and tackle the challenges coming along her way. But what makes her “enchanted” is her unusual encounters with elves, fairies, and other mythical creatures around. 5. Alice in Wonderland (2010) I do not believe that any fantasy list is complete without Lewis Carol’s masterpiece Alice in Wonderland. The way Wonderland is imagined is an idea that defines a whole generation. Now wait! Make it more extraordinary and let Tim Burton take care of it. You get the 2010 version of this one-of-a-kind narrative with the most iconic characters to hold on to. 6. The Wizard of Oz (1939) Of course, the original 1939 film that gave birth to the many gorgeously thought-of characters of the realm of Oz, had to have a mention. Accompany little Dorothy with her dog Toto who travels the land of Oz, seeking the great wizard. On her way, she gets to meet the most vibrant characters like the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly the Lion. What sets it apart from any other movie in this list is that it successfully creates a beautiful bridge between dreams and reality, making it uniquely prepossessing and inspiring many stories that came after it. 7. Into the Woods (2014) Another musical fairy tale with a star-studded cast. Only this time it’s a cross among multiple universes that results in a re-imagined story with little turns. Witness a wild intermingling of iconic characters like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack who will end the quest of a couple and help them get rid of a curse. 8. Mirror Mirror (2012) Julia Roberts and Lily Collins serve powerful performances in the amazing retelling of one of the popular Disney classics. Just like Wicked, one can find fantasy filled with adventures, magic, and strong female characters. Plus any version of a classic Disney movie should be given a chance out of admiration of the concept. 9. Maleficent (2014) This perfect villain-oriented narrative starring the one and only Angelina Jolie will take you through the most unconventional fairy tale. Another amazing retelling of the much-celebrated story of Sleeping Beauty. From costumes to the settings, everything screams ‘immaculate’. And doesn't everyone need an excuse to watch Angelina in black horns and red lips? Yes, please! 10. The School for Good and Evil (2022) A modern take on fantasy yet equally enjoyable. This Netflix hit had everyone streaming. Now who doesnt love a magical school where everyone can explore the two opposite worlds of good and evil? The swirling power dynamics and enchanting locations will serve you a good time. The list could go on but let’s wait while you catch up on these. And with hits like Wicked and anticipated movies like Snow White, we know that the fantasy genre is being taken care of.   Happy Watching! Read the full article

Name one celebrity who has the same natural hair color as you. Anne Hathaway.

okay but who else caught those clearly intentional Princess Diaries tribute moments in Oceans 8, particularly:
-Anne Hathaway at that fancy pre-gala banquet looking like Queen Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi holding court
-Sarah Paulson saying “the eagle has landed” into her headset in the very next shot
y’all aren’t subtle!!

Keep Calm and Go to London chapter 44
Tumblr media
Previous Chapters in the masterlist
Triggers: (fluff overload (?) ); crying (happy tears, though), talking about work related long distance relationship; talking about drug abuse and alcoholism and murder (related to a movie role); anxiety and talking about past break up.

Ticking tocking like a bomb Throws me back to when I had you closer Skin to skin we get it on Without the love I feel you going bolder You can promise castle, treasures, babies I don't care 'Cause right now you're just enough for me I want you near Like a fairytale to feel your breath right on my neck You remember what I love so baby take me back Turn down the lights down low and kiss me in the dark 'Cause when you're touching me baby I see sparks You make my heart go You You, you make my heart go You You, you make my heart go
To the rhythm of Hillary Duff's Sparks, you dance around the Airbnb as you cleaned the place. It was your free day from the set, so you decided to spent it the best way you could. Time truly flies in an incredible speed, at a moment you and Henry were kissing when the clock hit midnight and it was officially the new year and next you were back on London; he went back to The Witcher set and you soon got into another plane going to Washington when your next project was set to film.
Not only a month had passed since the last time you were together in the same place, but also Valentine's Day was around the corner. This was going to be your first celebration together as a couple, but unfortunately, you would have to settle for a zoom celebration. So you needed some cheerful music to lift your mood.
On the bright side, you finally got what you've always wanted since you started to act: be in a movie with Meryl Streep. She was beyond lovely and she was mentoring you a lot about acting and the film industry. You had a vast experience when it came to the music industry, but film was still quite new to you even if you have acquired a reputation there as well - all those big awards you got from your previous roles and a big fanbase was a powerful combination for success when it came to movies. As for music, you were a great musician with lots of fans but it wasn't that what made you a force to be reckoned with; it was the fact that the songs and albums you wrote and produced were all complete successes; you 'discover' some of the biggest selling artists and you made a lot of money for the rich bastards that control the industry which made you irreplaceable for them.
Another thing that you loved about this project, besides working with Meryl and the script that was quite interesting and gave you a lot of space to grow as an actor, was the fact that you got to work again with your friend Anne Hathaway.
She was a big part of your rise to success. She was your co-star on your first movie role that you seek even in you had no previous experience in acting, but thankfully the director saw something in you, especially good chemistry between the two of you since her character and yours were lovers caught in a toxic relationship due to your character's drug abuse and alcoholism which ended up with your character in jail for killing her lover. That role landed you your first big award which got you quite a prestige: your first role and you won an Oscar for it.
You were preparing lunch while dancing to Blackpink's DDU-DU DDU-DU when the doorbell rang. It was Anne who arrived to have lunch with you.
- Hi, babe! How are you?- you greeted her. Even if you were in the same movie, you did not share many scenes, so you mostly hang out outside the set. - Hi, sweetie! I'm great, you? I brought your favourite dessert! -she replied handing you a bag with pastries.
- Good. Thank you so much, you shouldn't have bothered!- you told her as you closed the door and walked to the living room.
Hanging out with her was as easy as breathing. When you're famous, more often than not you have to be careful with the things you shared about your life because you never knew who could be trusted to keep information private. It would often happen the someone, even if doing it unconsciously, they could share personal information that you did not want out there. With Anne, that wasn't an issue. She could be trusted and she was a loving friend who would listen and give great advice.
After a long conversation about work and her family, you shared with her that you were missing Henry more than you should. That in the past weeks you were experiencing a lot of anxiety because you feared that this time apart would Henry decide on ending things with you like he did a few months before, because he thought it was the best and because he couldn't handle the distance between you two and that was hard for you too. Anne shared her own struggles with being apart from her husband and her child for work. "It's never going to be easy to be apart, but it gets bearable with time," she told you, "if your love is pure, nothing will stand in the way of you two," she assured you.
Anne was one of the few friends who know about your struggle with coming with a decision about having children. What you liked about talking with her about that subject, was that she did not try to sugarcoat the struggles of being a mother. She opened her heart and talked freely about the issues she would have sometimes, but at the end of the day, her son meant the world to her.
During and after dinner you continue the chat, laughing as if you were two teenagers. Friendship is a powerful antidote for heartache and being homesick.
After she left, you picked up the phone and realized that you missed the chance to have your good night call with Henry, because of the time difference and the fact that he went earlier to bed because he needed to be up at 3 am for work. He had not called because when you didn't reply to his texts he realized that you still were busy hanging out with Anne. He promised that you would talk the next day, leaving you his wishes for you to have fun and assuring you that he loved you deeply. You sighed, sad to know that you would have to wait to talk to him and to be honest, anxious that he might have thoughts again that you should be apart because of the lack of time to be together.
You sat on the couch and opened your Instagram account to see what was going on with your friends. As soon as you opened the app, you saw that Henry had shared something on his stories. You clicked on the icon of his profile picture to see it: he shared four photos of you and every single picture was accompanied by the lyrics of a fragment of a song.
In the first photo, in which you were kissing his cheek and he was laughing because of the tingles, he chose the song Die A Happy Man by Thomas Rhett " You're a saint, you're a goddess, the cutest, the hottest, a masterpiece. It's too good to be true, nothing better than you. In my wildest dreams. And I know that I can't ever tell you enough. That all I need in this life is your crazy love. If I never get to see the Northern lights. Or if I never get to see the Eiffel Tower at night. Oh if all I got is your hand in my hand. Baby I could die a happy man yeah".
In the next one, he was the one kissing your cheek while your hand touched his face. The song he selected for this was She's Everything to Me by Bradley Presley "She's the voice I love to hear. Someday when I'm ninety. She's that wooden rocking chair. I want rocking right beside me. Every day that passes. I only love her more. Yeah, she's the one. That I'd lay down my own life for. And she's everything I ever wanted. And everything I need. She's everything to me. Yeah, she's everything to me. Everything I ever wanted. And everything I need. She's everything to me."
The third one was one of you hugging Kal and the chosen song was In Case You Didn't Know by Brett Young "In case you didn't know, Baby I'm crazy 'bout you. And I would be lying if I said, that I could live this life without you. Even though I don't tell you all the time. You had my heart a long, long time ago. In case you didn't know, you've got all of me, I belong to you. Yeah you're my everything".
The final photo was the one of your New Year's kiss, taken by his nephew Thomas - of course, as most teenage boys he reacted like it was too cheesy, but he took it in exchange of your promise that you'll reward him with an autograph of one of his favourite musicians, Slash, who you knew. The song he paired it with was You Make It Easy by Jason Aldean. "Yeah I'm down for life, you got me wrapped around your finger. And I like it just in case you can't tell. You make it easy. Lovin' up on you. Make it easy. With every little thing you do. You're my sunshine in the darkest days. My better half, my saving grace. You make me who I wanna be. You make it easy. Stealin' kisses undercover babe. I see forever when I see your face. And I swear God made you for me".
You were on tears and with a huge smile that made your face hurt. Anne was right, your love was pure and there was nothing it could destroy it, not even distance.

17 Movies Every Bride & Groom Should Watch Before Their Wedding Day
Tumblr media
Source: Happy Wedding App
When it comes to watching movies, Romantic movies top the list. Most people prefer to watch cheesy romances on the screen. We all love to see, boy meeting girl, and then they fall in love with each other, then they go through several problems, and finally, they marry. No matter how regular the whole stuff looks like, romantic movies have a flavor of its own. And these movies look more beautiful when you are about to get married. So here is a list of the 17 best movies every bride and groom should watch before their wedding day.
Let’s have a look on the selection….
1. My Big Fat Greek Wedding
My Big Fat Greek Wedding is a 2002 independent romantic comedy film and is one of the classic movies. It is a cheerful love story, which revolves around an unconfident sheltered woman, Fotoula “Toula” Portokalos (Nia Vardalos), struggling to discover her own identity before meeting the man of her dreams, Ian Miller (John Corbett). It is a good romantic dose in case you need a little inspiration before the big day. Do watch and see how a Greek American woman falls in love with a non-Greek man and what happens next.
2. Wedding Crashers
An excellent movie for all those who are going to miss all of the fun of being single. It is a 2005 American romantic comedy film; it follows two divorce mediators (Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn) who crash weddings in an attempt to meet and seduce bridesmaids. Both Wilson and Vaughn jump from one marriage to another, to meet and have sex with women. They keep doing it until they realize that sometimes all you need is that one perfect person.
3. Bachelorette
Bachelorette is a 2012 American romantic comedy film starring Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan, and Isla Fisher. All three women are featured as the troubled women who reunite for the wedding of a friend (Rebel Wilson) who was ridiculed in high school. You will surely love this spicy and sweet romantic comedy. You may even relate yourself with any of the three characters in the movie, from party girl Lizzy Caplan to control freak Kirsten Dunst.
4. The Wedding Singer
The Wedding Singer is a 1998 American romantic comedy film starring Adam Sandler as a wedding singer in the 1980s and Drew Barrymore as a waitress with whom he falls in love. It has it all! It’s funny, it’s cute, and overall, it’s a fantastic movie every bride & groom should watch before their wedding day.
5. Meet the Parents
Meet the Parents is a 2000 American comedy. Starring Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller, the movie chronicles a series of unfortunate events that befall a good-hearted but hapless nurse while he visits his girlfriend’s parents. You will be surprised to see the sequence of events that take place in Meet the Parents. Do Watch!
6. Runaway Bride
Runaway Bride, a 1999 American romantic comedy film that stars Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. Maggie Carpenter (Julia Roberts), a spirited and attractive young woman who has had several failed relationships in the past. Maggie, nervous about being married, has left a trail of fiancés waiting for her at the altar on their wedding day. All of these were caught on tape, earning Maggie tabloid fame and the dubious nickname “The Runaway Bride.” The lead character in the movies shows that most important love in life is for their own self. No matter how many times you get a heartbreak, you undoubtedly get the right guy.
7. 27 Dresses
27 Dresses is a 2008 romantic comedy starring Katherine Heigl and James Marsden. Jane Nichols (Katherine Heigl) who has been a bridesmaid for 27 weddings meets Kevin Doyle (James Marsden), who helps her get home while attending two weddings almost simultaneously, Doyle discusses his cynical views of marriage with her and with whom she falls in love later. A great movie to have some gorgeous ideas on your bridesmaid gown selections.
8. Bride Wars
Bride Wars is a 2009 romantic comedy film starring Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Bryan Greenberg, Kristen Johnston, and Candice Bergen. Emma Allan (Anne Hathaway) and Olivia “Liv” Lerner (Kate Hudson) are best friends who have been planning every detail of their weddings, since the time they were little girls. Now who doesn’t love a magical school where everyone can explore the two opposite worlds of good and evil? The swirling power dynamics and enchanting locations will serve you a good time. The list could go on but let’s wait while you catch up on these. And with hits like Wicked and anticipated movies like Snow White, we know that the fantasy genre is being taken care of.   Happy Watching! Read the full article

I mean what I can think of though is this time in first year, I was having a really rough day and I just wanted to come back to my dorm, have a bowl of Lucky Charms and sulk. But when I got home, I had no milk and literally burst into tears LOL my roommate was laughing at me and I was laughing at myself but like damn i was so sad about that milk OH WAIT I THOUGHT OF ANOTHER ONE LOL there was this guy that i liked in my senior year - we had known each other since grade 9 so like we were super great friends, but there was something about him in senior year that i was like damn he so sweet and i like him. anyways so we been flirting and all that shit, and i was the stage manager for that year of our school play (the trial of Ebenezer scrooge i think it was called) and he played one of the christmas ghosts. he had to have all these chains and emerge from the trap door so normally, he had someone else help him up from that trap door. The person who normally helped him was sick for a day so i helped him out. Anyways down there, he finally was like hey btw i like you and we had that whole talk about liking each other and it was cute. Anyways so apparently from the seats in the audience, you could kinda see into the trap door, and my friends were out there being like “omg we can see your heads...are yall kissing???” “omg where did your heads just go??? WHATRE YOU DOING DOWN THERE” - it was hilarious i love my friends and him lol they were great
Most touching memory: There was this girl in my high school, she was super sweet and great. I left for a year for some...reasons LOL, and when I came back, all my friends had moved on to finding better friend groups. I was going back into that school for my senior year feeling super alone and sad, and this girl who i had barely talked to in my other years messaged me being like ‘i know that your friends kinda moved away from you but i just wanted to let you know that if you ever need anything im here and id love to hang with you’. Like damn she made me so happy - i definitely didn’t feel as alone as i thought i would.
Favorite childhood memory: eh i dont remember my childhood lol blacked it out due to bad memories

Best All-Time Celebrity Met Gala Fashion Outfits
Scroll To See More Images
For serious fans of fashion, there’s no bigger red-carpet affair than the annual Costume Institute Benefit—a.k.a. the Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala, or Met Gala for short—where celebrities and high fashion collide in a bonanza of couture gowns that more than rivals the Oscars in unabashed glamour. Part of the evening’s fun—even for us spectators—is seeing what attendees choose to wear on the red carpet at the Gala, which will be held Monday night. Considering attendees’ high-design attire is typically loosely inspired by the exhibition’s theme, we have a feeling this particular red carpet will be one for the record books, and we’ll see some of the best Met Gala dresses yet.
However, before we can look ahead to this year’s extravaganza, we decided to look back at some past memorable Met Gala gowns that we’re still talking about.
From supermodels (Karolina Kurkova in a head-to-toe custom Rachel Zoe creation that resembled liquid gold, Gisele Bündchen’s red-hot Valentino, Anja Rubik’s skin-baring Anthony Vaccarello) and starlets (Beyoncé in showstopping Givenchy, Diane Kruger in Jason Wu) to the fash pack (Alexa Chung in Marc Jacobs, Ashley Olsen in vintage Dior, Zoe Kravitz in Alexander Wang), there’s no denying that everyone who shows up to the year’s most major red carpet does so with a serious fashion moment in mind.

Rihanna, Met Gala 2017
As an annual Met Gala favorite, Rihanna didn’t disappoint when she wore a Comme des Garçons structured flower-like dress by Rei Kawakubo, a Japanese designer who was honored with that year’s theme. The look, which was straight from Comme des Garçons’s Fall 2016 runway, used floral fabrics, which were layered and pulled apart to look like petals.
Jackson Lee/FilmMagic.
Zendaya, Met Gala 2017
Though Zendaya strayed from 2017’s avant-garde theme, she still shut down the red carpet when she showed up in a colorful Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda ball gown decorated with vibrant orange and blue parrots. Z complemented her look, which boasted a floor-length train, with a voluminous Afro.

Cardi B, Met Gala 2018
Cardi B’s 2018 MOSCHINO Met Gala look (with the theme Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination) was beyond iconic.

Taylor Swift, Met Gala 2016
As 2016’s Met Gala chair, Taylor Swift created chatter on the internet for the metallic minidress she wore in honor of that year’s theme, Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology. The look consisted of a robot-like Louis Vuitton dress with cutouts and a ruffled skirt with knee-high lace-up heels and black lipstick complementing Swift’s electric-blonde hair.

Solange, Met Gala 2016
Solange didn’t exactly fit 2016’s technology-inspired theme, but many fans considered her lemonade-yellow David Laport dress, which featured accordion-like pleats, to be a nod to her sister Beyoncé’s album Lemonade, which came out a month earlier. Solange completed her look with matching latex leg warmers and clear sandals.

Lena Waithe, Met Gala 2018
When Master of None’s Lena Waithe showed up to the 2018 Met Gala in a literal rainbow cape, we knew it was going to be a good night.
Karwai Tang/WireImage.
Lupita Nyong’o, Met Gala 2016
Lupita Nyong’o stunned on the Met Gala red carpet in 2016 when she wore a jade sequined Calvin Klein shift dress with a near-translucent train. But it was her hair that caught the attention of the internet. Shortly after Nyong’o walked the red carpet, Vogue published an article comparing her sky-high bun to Audrey Hepburn’s in a 1963 Vogue photo shoot. The actress later called out the magazine on Instagram, explaining that her hair wasn’t inspired by Hepburn, but by traditional African hairstyles and Nina Simone.
J. Kempin/Getty Images.
Kendall Jenner, Met Gala 2017
Kendall Jenner definitely turned heads in 2017 when she showed up at the Met Gala in a near-naked La Perla dress. The sheer look, which featured a large diagonal cutout on Jenner’s torso, was flecked with glitter and featured a low-scooped open back, revealing Jenner’s derriere.
J. Kempin/Getty Images.
Katy Perry, Met Gala 2017
As one of 2017’s Met Gala chairs, Katy Perry raised the bar when she wore an avant-garde red-tulle dress by John Galliano. The look, which featured a floor-length veil and sleeves embellished with large jewels, also included a crown-like headpiece with the word “Witness,” which would later become the title of Perry’s 2017 album.
Jamie McCarthy/FilmMagic.
Claire Danes, Met Gala 2016
From a first look, Claire Danes’s 2016 sky-blue Cinderella-like Zac Posen ball gown looked like another pretty dress and far from that year’s technology-inspired theme. But in the dark, fans learned that the one-of-a-kind dress was sewn with dozens of fiber optics, allowing it to twinkle with lights when it was pitch-black. Posen revealed the high-tech effect on his Instagram.
Neilson Barnard/Getty Images.
Cara Delevingne, Met Gala 2017
Cara Delevingne took advantage of her freshly shaven head at the 2017 Met Gala by glazing it with slick silver paint. She paired her metallic buzzcut with a sci-fi-inspired pantsuit by Chanel with bold shoulders and a futuristic, star-like pattern.
David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock.
Rihanna, Met Gala 2018
Rihanna really stuck to the 2018 “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” Met Gala theme when she game dressed as the literal Pope. We’re still screaming about it.
Kevin Mazur/WireImage.
Madonna, Met Gala 2016
Madonna earned mixed reviews when she wore a sheer and skin-baring Givenchy dress to the 2016 Met Gala. The look, which exposed Madonna’s butt and breasts, was criticized by some for being too revealing. Of course, Madonna had the last word. After the controversy, the singer took to her Instagram to explain that her dress was a “political statement” against “an ageist and sexist society.”

Kim Kardashian, Met Gala 2013
A pregnant Kim Kardashian didn’t exactly stick to the PUNK: Chaos to Couture theme of 2013’s gala, but her Givenchy dress spawned 10,000 memes—and was of particular significance, given it was the first time Anna Wintour allowed her to attend.

Diana Ross, Met Gala 1981
Diana Ross’s 1981 Met Gala gown would look right at home on the 2018 red carpet, given fashion’s recent obsession with ruffles and off-the-shoulder cuts.

Solange, Met Gala 2015
When every other star was tripping over themselves to prove their dresses were the most naked, Solange rolled up to the 2015 Met Gala in this round Giles dress—and killed it.
Mari Sarai/Wireimage.
Amber Valletta, Met Gala 1999
Amber Valletta looked every inch the supermodel in shiny gold at 1999’s “Rock Style” gala.
Andres Otero/WENN.com.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Met Gala 2013
Sarah Jessica Parker, patron saint of the Met Gala, can always be counted on to show up in something fabulously OTT, like this Giles Deacon gown and Philip Treacy Mohawk headpiece in 2013, proving that she truly gets the spirit of the event every year.
Tom Gates/Getty Images.
Diana Vreeland, Met Gala 1981
Legendary fashion editor Diana Vreeland and Bill Blass at the 1981 gala, whose theme was “‘Eighteenth Century Woman.”

Lauren Santo Domingo, Met Gala 2008
In 2008, socialite and fashion It-girl Lauren Santo Domingo wore a silver glittering Nina Ricci gown—created by then-designer Olivier Theyskens—end of story. But it wasn’t, because the dress caused a bit of a scandal when the house dressed SJP in the same exact dress months later for the premiere of the “Sex and the City” movie. The brand responded to the controversy by saying LSD isn’t technically a celebrity, so they didn’t recycle.
Andres Otero/WENN.com.
Lupito Nyong’o, Met Gala 2014
Fresh off her fame-making red-caped-dress moment, Lupita Nyong’o made a dramatic grand entrance at the 2014 gala in flapper-inspired Prada.

Zoë Kravitz and MIA, Met Gala 2010
The cool crowd—also known as MIA and Zoë Kravitz—arrived on the arm of Alexander Wang at 2010’s “American Women”-themed gala.
WENN.
Florence Welch, Met Gala 2012
Florence Welch brought it to the 2012 gala honoring Miuccia Prada and Elsa Schiaparelli, although she opted to wear a stunning multitiered McQueen dress. She showed up on several “worst-dressed” lists, proving again that the masses just don’t get it.
Toby/WENN.com.
Anja Rubik, Met Gala 2013
Supermodel Anja Rubik rolled up to the 2013 punk-themed gala in a mini red leather Anthony Vaccarello number—and it promptly went down in the annals as one of the coolest, most memorable looks ever.
WENN.com.
Karen Elson, Met Gala 2015
In 2015, supermodel-turned-rocker Karen Elson debuted a jaw-dropping Dolce & Gabbana look on the red carpet. Whether it played into the night’s theme—”China: Through the Looking Glass”—is debatable, but the glamour is not.
Andres Otero/WENN.com.
Anne Hathaway, Met Gala 2013
Anne Hathaway shed her goody-goody image at the 2013 punk-themed gala, replacing her long brown hair with a cropped platinum cut and debuting an on-theme Valentino gown.
Lia Toby/WENN.com.
Miley Cyrus, Met Gala 2013
A logical step in Miley Cyrus’s 2013 emancipation from Hannah Montana? Attending the punk-themed Met Gala on Marc Jacobs’s arm in a  totally sheer dress and with blonde spiky hair.

Diane Kruger, Met Gala 2004
A lot of the looks at 2004’s “Dangerous Liaisons: Fashion and Furniture in the 18th Century” gala look wildly outdated now, but Diane Kruger—in Nicolas Ghesquiere—still looks chic and sexy.

Nicole Richie, Met Gala 2013
Nicole Richie stunned due to the simple fact that she made both a Topshop gown and silver hair look ridiculously chic in 2013.

Kim Kardashian, Met Gala 2015
In 2015, Kim Kardashian caught major flak for wearing a dress nearly identical to the one Beyoncé wore in 2012. Granted, they’re by different designers and were different colors—Beyoncé’s black and purple gown was Givenchy, while Kim’s white dress was part of Peter Dundas’s first collection since returning to Roberto Cavalli, but the similarities were shocking, down to the sheer nakedness, the curve-hugging fit, and—of course—the feathered train that Bey worked like a pro on the Met’s red stairs when she made her dramatic entrance three years ago.
(And let it be known, Kim—who was on the event’s host committee that year—also showed up toward the end of the carpet, just like Ms. Knowles did.)

Rihanna, Met Gala 2015
Perhaps the most memorable gala gown—and the most memorable example of a star sticking to the theme—was at 2015’s “China: Through the Looking Glass”: Rihanna showed up in an imperial-yellow fur-trimmed caped number with a multifoot-long train created by Chinese couturier Guo Pei. “I was researching Chinese couture on the Internet, and I found it,” she told Vanity Fair.

Ashley Olsen, Met Gala 2011
Ashley Olsen didn’t wear McQueen to the 2011 gala, whose theme was in his honor, but looked absolutely perfect in a vintage Dior with puffy sleeves.

Beyoncé, Met Gala 2015
Beyoncé turned heads in revealing Givenchy Couture at 2015’s gala, though some critics slammed the look for being too shameless in its approach to grab headlines. In the year of the “naked dress” on the gala’s carpet—J.Lo and—predictably—Kim K. also showed up in similar styles—we kind of hoped Beyoncé would have risen above the fray and had fun with her look, much like Rihanna did that year.

6 Famous Bald Men
Male pattern hair loss did not stop at least one of these guys from forming history, in 1 way or another. They serve as inspirations to us, and they remind us that people are ultimately judged by the donations we make to society, and not by the grade of our hairlines. I liked to make this a fun list, including some modern, famous bald celebrities which everyone will understand, along with historical figures that have shaped our own lives, whether we know it not.
Mahatma Gandhi
Tumblr media
Gandhi was the primary pioneer in the Indian independence movement of the 1930s and 40s.  Trained as an attorney, he also gave powerful speeches and coordinated peaceful demonstrations to rally his assistants and prompt a political revolution.  Gandhi influenced hundreds of leaders of future generations, from Martin Luther King Jr. to Cesar Chavez. Certainly, he was too busy fighting on behalf of the people and humankind to worry about their own baldness.
He'd four stints in prison, in which presumably having no hair really is an advantage -- it's the effeminate guys who're popular in the joint, by what I have heard.  He had been a proponent, which isn't suggested to individuals who are concerned with the prospect of hair thinning. Crash diets are bad!
Larry David
Tumblr media
Kay, Larry David isn't exactly a revolutionary, and he's probably not just a viable candidate for the real history books any time in the future.  Having said that, his an institution with the hairless area, a phrase that he coined, cannot be dismissed.
In his eponymous, classic television program, Curb Your Enthusiasm,'' David actively fought discrimination contrary to bald people on multiple occasions.  In addition, he fires a toupee-wearing chef in a restaurant he co-owns, openly admits he prefers hiring bald professionals over non-bald professionals, also proclaims his love for his bald brothers.  If you like laughing, check out those youtube links then return and finish this report.
David is known for making the show Seinfeld as well, perhaps the best sitcom of all time -- and it features arguably the greatest sitcom character all-time in George Costanza, that also appears to be bald!
Michael Jordan
Tumblr media
He is perhaps the best athlete ever, who sole highhandedly motivated production of balding men to embrace their genetics and then shave it off like a person -- shave it, bitch, as Joe Rogan states!  Hair only gets in the way when you're trying to dip a basketball against the free-throw line or humiliate Patrick Ewing from the paint, after all.  At his best, Jordan was superhuman, plain and simple.
William Shakespeare
Tumblr media
You were forced to read several of the plays high school because he is the most famous writer of all time.  But nobody reads so if you should be a millennial, then you probably breezed through the important plot lines and personality descriptions on SparkNotes.
Shakespeare sported long hair on the sides and back of his head, which, theoretically, was supposed to pay for his lack of hair everywhere.  Yeah, regrettably, that theory has been debunked within the course of multiple millenniums.  Just look at David Crosby; that will explain why the balding-guy-with-long-hair style isn't a good one.  However, Shakespeare was definitely a genius.
And despite being dead for 3 decades, ol' Billy still manages to create women of all ages tingle in their nether places with his lovely and periodically kinky verses.
Fun reality: Most argue Shakespeare was but a common burglar who uttered each of his famous works in one of his contemporaries.  Additionally, upon his passing, the single thing bequeathed to his wife, Anne Hathaway, had been his most"second-best bed"  Whatever that way.
Jeff Bezos
Tumblr media
Just, Jeff Bezos could be the most powerful and successful bald entrepreneur around Earth.  Known for his meticulous nature and Sunday memos, Bezos has led Amazon.com to unprecedented levels of success and fame in the online realm.
It is possible to find almost anything about Amazon, for example, Rogaine, derma pliers, laser combs, saw palmetto, and a wide variety of additional hair thinning treatments. However, Jeff Bezos has no time for one of these creams, potions, natural home remedies, or even pills. He's too busy worrying about growing his own organization and beating his opponents.
There have been studies that show most men would like having more hair more than income.  Jeff Bezos can be an exception in this principle and a great example for all of us.  Money is much more important than baldness, gentlemen!  But if you have money, you can say easily say farewell to hair forever, just like Jeff's formerly-bald buddy, Elon Musk, did.
Charles Darwin
Tumblr media
Darwin's On the Origin of Species is amongst the greatest accomplishments in history. The godfather of development, Darwin-inspired some of our greatest minds and contains spurred spiritual zealots for generations. Like many men, Darwin suffered from severe male pattern baldness, as can be seen clearly in most of his portraits from the age of 31 onward.  And he did what a lot of men confronting similar genetic circumstances do: he also grew an amazing beard!  Yes, the bald-and-bearded appearance is always fashionable, whether you're a scientist, athlete, or a dedicated and disgusting white-supremacist.

VIOLA (Bardic Asks)
❤️ why I love this character
Frankly, it would be easier for me to list the things I DON’T love about Viola. I’ve directed Twelfth Night, I’ve dramaturged it, and I’ve cut the script a few different times for various theater companies.
And god help me, I just can’t get enough of this girl.
(And yes, I personally headcanon Viola as a woman who cross-dresses out of sheer necessity, but I fully appreciate the spectrum of diverse and valid interpretations of [her] gender.)
My tag for her on Tumblr comes from the film, Shakespeare in Love, when Will [Shakespeare] finally sits down to preserve his lost love in ink: “...for she will be my heroine for all time, and her name will be Viola.”
Viola is clever, brave, astute, poetic, adventurous, earnest, playful, generous, and unbelievably resilient.
She’s also clumsy and awkward and lonely and scared and grieving and displaced and heart-shredded.
She’s fiercely loyal to the memory of her brother, she loves Orsino — despite all his flaws — with all her soul, she discerns the proper cocktail of humor, honesty, and empathy to win Olivia’s good will, she can hold her own in a jest-off with Feste, she embraces the quintessential mania of Illyria, and she’s committed to carving a life for herself out of near-impossible circumstances.
Washed up on a foreign shore as an unmarried young woman, suffering from trauma and the loss of her beloved brother, and what does Viola do?
She grabs a coat, makes an ally, and heads off to make her way in the world.
A heroine for all time.
💙 why I hate this character
There is nothing to hate.
⁉️ what initially drew me to this character
“Conceal me what I am, and be my aid For such disguise as haply shall become The form of my intent. I'll serve this duke: Thou shall present me as an eunuch to him: It may be worth thy pains; for I can sing And speak to him in many sorts of music That will allow me very worth his service. What else may hap to time I will commit; Only shape thou thy silence to my wit.”
^^^^ This (1.2.) is her response to being shipwrecked on an unfamiliar beach, with no money, family, food, friends, or proper clothing. Like...what an Icon.
💕 who do I think this character is in love with (if anyone) and why
As a director (and an ex-actor), I believe in believing characters. Viola tells us, vehemently, that she is in love with Orsino in 1.4, and her every subsequent thought and action corroborates that love.
That’s not to say that she doesn’t come to share a unique, unexpected, and wonderful bond with Olivia, but I really do cherish the love story between Viola and her foolish, melodramatic, Byronic duke. She teaches Orsino to think of women as people, with the same extraordinary capacity for love, grief, and outrage as men. And he, in turn, makes her bolder, brighter, and better at advocating for herself.
Their impossibly charged debate about the nature of love in 2.4 (following on the heels of Feste’s devastating song and gorgeous sendoff) is honestly one of the greatest scenes Shakespeare ever wrote. It gives me chills every single time I read it.
“She pined in thought, And with a green and yellow melancholy She sat like patience on a monument, Smiling at grief. Was not this love indeed?”
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 what do I think this character’s feelings about their family are
Viola & Sebastian are Sibling Goals and I will fight anyone who says otherwise
🕰 what do I think this character enjoys doing in their free time
Baking! I can so easily picture Vi in Orsino’s kitchens, making some incredibly elaborate, triple-layer cake for no other reason than she’s been craving chocolate lately.
👿 who does this character hate more than anyone else
For most of Twelfth Night, I think Viola really hates God. I think she blames God for causing the thunderstorm that cracked her ship in two and cost her darling Sebastian his life.
When I directed Twelfth, I had a few discussions about this with the actress playing Viola. Together, we decided that Viola’s obsession with Time, as the great entity of change, was a signal that she was choosing, for the first time in her life, to put her trust into some deity OTHER than God. Because God had let her down.
🌈 what is their relationship like with their romantic partner(s)
Viola and Orsino are both giddy, word-obsessed bisexual nerds of the highest order. I think they spend almost all their time in the library. And they have competitions to see who can learn more in less time.
🌕 happy headcanon
Viola and Sebastian always give each other gifts on their birthday. Always. Every year. Even though everyone else thinks it’s absurd. Each twin always wants to celebrate the other. That’s just their way.
🌑 sad headcanon
Their father was sick for months before he passed away, but the twins didn’t know it. The doctors wanted him to tell Sebastian, seeing as how Sebastian is his heir, but their father refused, because he knew full well that Seb would inevitably tell Vi anything he found out.
Thus, their father’s death was a tragic shock. They were completely unprepared for it.
📂 random/obscure headcanon
Viola’s Bavarian-born governess taught her how to sing and play instruments, back when Vi was very small. Her mother died giving birth to premature twins, so Viola’s only real maternal figure was her governess, whom she loved dearly. Her childhood was awash with music.
📱favorite/personal modern interpretation
So many fantastic actresses throughout history have played Viola. I take my hat off to ALL of them.
Anne Hathaway’s crystalline Vi in the Delacorte Theater’s Twelfth Night is a particular fave, however.
(Shakespeare in the Park // 2009 production // dir. Daniel Sullivan)
📺 favorite film interpretation
Amanda Bynes as Viola Hastings in She’s the Man.
It doesn’t get much better. Or funnier.
🎻 a song I associate with this character
“Hero” by Regina Spektor
📕 my ideal epilogue for this character (if they survived)
THANK GOD SHAKESPEARE WROTE A COMEDY
(I mean, I acknowledge that this play is quite melancholy and ends on a desperately ambivalent note, but still. Viola very much lives. And gets reunited with her brother. And gets to marry the love of her life. #goodforher)
📗 what I think would’ve happened to this character if they HAD survived
Viola is the lifeblood of her play. To kill her off would be to kill the story.
Shakespeare was no dummy. He knew that. Bless.

If you could meet any famous person dead or alive who would you pick? Would you rather live in NYC or London? If you could travel back in time what era would you pick? What is one skill you wish you had? Favourite British and American actors? If you could get any gift for Christmas what would you want? And please don’t listen to the Harry Potter hating anon. JK Rowling created a world that spoke to billions and personally I am very mistrustful of people who don’t see that :)
Aww you cutie, thank you!
Famous person: gosh is it bad that I am not really a ‘celebrity’ person in the slightest? I suppose if I had to choose I would probably say someone like...nope nada, I literally can’t think of anyone, sorry!Live in NYC or London?:  I am definitely not a city girl but if I had to choose maybe NYC? I have never been to America, so it would be a nice experience however I don’t think I could live there for a prolonged period of time. London would be nice for a change too, although there are so many different areas of London that you can go from one end of the scale to the other (I suppose it is the same with any city), it would be a fun experience, maybe.Travel back to one era: again, this is not something I have ver thought much about before. I think for me I would prefer to be able to FORWARDS in time. See what lies ahead for humanity and see what things might need to be addressed here and now in order to make life better for people in the future? It would be so interesting to see where humanity is going...I mean going back to the Egyptian times would be really interesting but I wouldn’t want to stay stuck there. One skill you wish you had: It is definitely between being multi-linguistic (I am terrible at languages and wish I was better, especially as a lot of my family are Danish) or being able to dance.Favourite British Actors: (I am terrible with names) Eddie Redmayne, Emma Watson, Julie Roberts, Jude Law, Judi Dench oh and Hugh LaurieFavourite American Actors: I am not very good at all with actors/actresses but a few that spring to mind are... Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, Stephen Amell and Will Smith??Any gift for Christmas: This may sound really really cheesy but it would be nice to just be able to be together with family/friends and spend meaningful time with them. I don’t really have a Christmas (or Birthday) list this year as there is nothing that I ‘need’ or ‘want’ and would much rather do things with people/make memories/go places etc. So maybe a week away with close family and friends to a big house somewhere that we could do things from like go to the theatre, go ice skating, visit christmas markets etc :)
