crush rose petals

into paint

curl the tips with a drop of blood

seal the agony on your face

demon starlet with no glimmery frost

you scorch cities with your

temperature

you said you’d never go back to hell

but on land there is no heaven

the waves are cruel and boiling

the wind is fierce but hot and grey

you scream for hope and awakening

among graveyards of skeletal matter -
