its more feminist to vote for castiel than for bela because while bela is a victim of misogyny from the show (though not nearly as much as several other women on the show were), castiel beared the weight of plotlines that would have gone to anna instead if he had not been there. and if the plotlines had gone to anna. plotlines including: becoming god before exploding due to hubris, being crazyyy and institutionalized, being lobotomized and having her powers taken away, stabbed to death after being tricked by a reaper that had sex with her, The Prisoner Scene, dying in metaphorical childbirth, role changed to being a mother to a nephilim and ultimately dying saying im in love with you dean winchester and that has been my primary motivation to be a better person since day one. if those had gone to anna, it would have been so apparently misogynistic that supernatural would have been the subject of constant media protest from feminists (and would have deserved it). castiel saved the world from truckloads of egregiously misogynistic plotlines. by being there. Gay.

I don't get why Gabriel and Anna are pictured as good perfect positive siblings in fanon when they literally abandoned everyone and spend much time saying the same stuff as Heaven (you have to accept your fate, angels don't feel, etc, etc).

Maybe they physically got away, but they didn't get free of the cult thinking and they have many issues because of it. Hope that helps 👍

Are you an angel!cas endgame or human!cas endgame truther?

I think I'm Edlund-minded on this one. That even when he's "human," Cas is never human, and that's okay. I will read anything well-written, of course, and I certainly think there's a case, especially mid-series, for Cas wanting to live "as a man."

However, I think the back-end of the series challenges what that means to Cas. Most importantly, does he have to, quote/unquote, "live as a man" to allow himself to feel (and act on) his own emotions?

I think I come down most often on the side of Cas integrating his "human" emotions and realizing they were his angel emotions all along.

Excerpt:

In the spaces between celestial bodies, nothing fell. There was nothing to drag matter down, no gravitational pull to fall prey to. Comets floated and soared, planets orbited stars, stars waltzed around each other and galaxies glided through nebulas without wondering what it would be like to crash.

Angels filled in the gaps between all these things. 

Ananiel sat upon an errant asteroid, closing in on the atmosphere of a planet made of ice and wind. It could stop the asteroid, redirect its route, keeping it aloft for eons to come. This planetary system was sparse, the asteroid could continue on forever as it was. Ananiel sunk its claws into the asteroid's crust, spreading all of its wings out wide. The asteroid and the planet grew closer. 

The planet’s surface was barren of life but Ananiel found itself lost in the almost never ending patterns of crystals and shapes. The atmosphere crackled around Ananiel suddenly, smaller bodies of rock and sediment instantly crushed upon impact with its body. The ice came closer, the howling wind of the planet’s stratosphere tearing away at Ananiel’s body, threatening to slip through its body. Ananiel closed its eyes, welcoming the feeling. Breaking through the barrier of floating ice clouds, Ananiel opened its mouths to scream.

It howled and screeched, cracking the ice below. The fissure screamed back, the crack letting loose a bang of its own. An ugly, dark seam erupted, the planet cleft in two. The asteroid plummeted further and faster into the crackling canyon, Ananiel tethered to it. 

They plunged into the inky black of a brackish sea that had never seen light. In the darkness, Ananiel looked between its talons to see a freshly smithed meteorite, cooled by the frigid sea. In scant light, filtered through the icy fissure, it glittered.

Anna was an Angel, also Only 4 Angels have seen God. Ruby got tortured by Alastor, that's sucks. Uriel saying Castiel has a weakness and it's that he likes Dean. Dean and Anna...seem to get along. Ok OK OK and on to the heartbreaking stuff. Dean told Sam about hell, and how it's wasn't months for him it was 40years and he was given a choice to get tortured or torture others. Dean wishes he couldn't feel anything cus he cracked after 30years and he was good at it. Uggh 💔
