Had a yarn delivery today! I was running low on regular garment yarn so ordered my next couple of projects worth and some bonus skeins for projects I loved and want to make more of. All of it is Drops Safran, a really soft 4ply cotton.

Pretty sure Drops is my favourite brand for garment yarn now, I've used their Alpaca, Belle, Fable (just for a contrast toe and heel on a sock) and now I have Safran. All of it has been amazing quality, really affordably priced and made in the EU as a lil bonus.

I cleared out a big basket we weren't using and organised all my yarn today, I had 22 new skeins arrive and didn't want it to get jumbled. It's now all separated into large plastic sandwich bags to keep the bugs out (these get re-used when they get emptied) and I have one big organza bag for garment yarn and one smaller bag for sock yarn. There's even enough space in the basket for my knitting/crochet notebook and if I try REALLY HARD I think I can squeeze my notions, needles and hooks in too!

My bag of scrap yarn is growing however and needs organising too. I even found a vest in there that only needs a little ribbing to finish it! But that's a job for another time.

I need to take a leaf out of my Mum's book and start putting everything in a spreadsheet to keep my stash organised. Especially the scrap! I might get a start on a Google sheet soon to try and keep track. I know I can do it on ravelry but I like the idea of having it available offline if I want.

Project-wise, I'm over halfway though the tee I posted about last. Linky below because i realise now that I forgot to add it last time. It's stockinette 'hell' time which I've really enjoyed this week. I have stressful things going on in my personal life and it's been lovely to have something peaceful and repetitive to zone out to. I think I could have possibly gone for a smaller size but I love an oversized tee so I'm perfectly OK with it being loose.

I have my next project picked, unsurprisingly with zero shaping. But it does have a little lacework, just to keep things interesting.

I'm going to be sad when the seasons change and I can't really excuse knitting a million summer tops anymore. Honestly, summer knitting has been my favourite!

Lichen...a combined force of algae, cyanobacterium, and fungus creating beautiful miniature ecosystems all over the world in all types of environments. (Just like knitters, right?) This lichen is one of my favorite colorways from @lichenandlace Hints of driftwood and beach glass join the many shades of green and green-blue. The color changes are subtle but also strong just like lichen itself. I started this project to test out this new yarn which is coming to BGS in a few weeks! I have a FO! My #lovenotesweater is finished 💚 I absolutely love everything about this sweater, it's super quick, easy to knit and beautiful to wear. I did actually finish this last week but I held off posting because I wanted to tie it in to this weeks update. This Friday we have pre orders going up in the shop for our Top Draw Sock and Mohair Silk Lace. Swipe through to see all the colours available on both bases. These colours will be dyed to order and ready to ship in around 4 weeks. For my Love Note Sweater I used Arctic Moss for the Sock and Nordic Woodlands for the mohair.
