something I see very few people talk about is the time travel machine grian build in hc season 6, like he had just ended his series in evo, was in the middle of a hermitcraft, and then build a time machine that took them back to minecraft older version.... doesnt it feel way too strange?

This is what I look like when I go on my 20th ramble about how the presence of Gravity-void creatures existing is directly connected with instances of the Frenzied Flame and the connection is in both psychology, astrophysics, and of course lovecraftian inspiration.
Tumblr media
I have been racking my brain for a WHILE on why frenzied enemies and gravity/void enemies were found by one another in game so consistently and here are some of my thoughts on why.
The psychological aspect is mostly between the existence of gravity enemies or void monsters existing within the vicinity of people who's minds are not meant to comprehend their existence. A good example of this would be how the falling star beast in altus is right above the Mt Gelmir soldiers that refused to eat or dehumanize their comrades.
We also have a Malformed Star [baby astels] as well as Astel in the same ruins where we find a Frenzy Flame Miranda flower which uniquely scream when you set them on fire. Could be that the Miranda flower had consumed madded corpses that had gone insane due to the presence of Astel and the Malformed stars, both horrified of the anguish and destruction they brought, and their existences being mind breaking for people to comprehend. A haunting thought that those who escaped Astel had been driven mad and consumed by Miranda flowers. Much like the corpses in the frenzy flame village that had been consumed and caused madness in those flowers.
Another good example is the Yelough Anix ruins and the Yelough Anix tunnel, although I have a feeling the frenzied there existed before the gravity monsters, and their interference and use of the Frenzied Flame acting as what's likely the most dense and gravitationally heavy thing in all of elden ring. Their worship and use leading to a collapse of space-time to allow monsters like Astel to be pulled to the location without wanting to be there, trapped by the pull of the frenzied flame much like our natural-born Astel in Ainsel river was pulled in by the eternal darkness spell.
Now for another connection I'd like to introduce playing on the idea that the frenzied flame and gravitational powers can lead to the other..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The visual similarities between the eternal darkness spell [which was the means in which Nokron originally damned itself to Astel. ]
"Originally a lost sorcery of the Eternal City; the despair that brought about its ruin made manifest."
This wording is very specific and I do believe the visual similarities between this "manifestation of despair." and the head of a frenzied lord are connected. That extreme pressure that is caused by either gravitational forces or psychological forces can cause spacetime to collapse into black holes. Both have a singularity, accreation disk, and an event horizon. Both visually look like eyes when in casted and in their drawn examples!
It could also tell us that in Elden Ring, our emotions, ambitions, beliefs, and thoughts have power beyond the mind and can warp the reality around ourselves much like it can in a lot of HP Lovecraft's work and the Cthulhu Mythos.
The difference between these two seems to be that gravity black holes in elden ring [being the ones made when we bend spacetime to pull in meteors as an attack] play on many sci-fi concepts of black holes being wormholes to another location. While the frenzied flame seems to act more like how black holes actually are, crushing, inescapable and all consuming, created when stars [and for elden ring, souls minds and stars] die. This is also paired with how our actual images of black holes look like the frenzied flame.
Tumblr media
The difference between the two could be the method they come to manifest in. Gravity Sorceries seem to pull things in and spit them out into the void while the frenzied flame pulls things in and destroys them permanently. I have a theory that when you use gravity sorcereies and powers irresponsibly, or if you go too fast, and apply too much gravitational pressure, your gateway will collapse and ignite into an instance of the frenzied flame much like during star birth and star death.
Another possible theory is that the eternal darkness spell is what an instance of the frenzied flame would look like when it is not heated and ignited. Significantly easier to maintain and not straining on your mind but much less potent than a visage of the frenzied flame.
Would that mean if you reduced the gravitational density and heat from our frenzied tarnished or Midra they'd go blue?? Funny mental image as tears are usually drawn blue, so their fire/flares would look like a cartoonish crying. Usually blue fire is hotter but not in elden ring blue = cold.
Enjoy the little doodle of my tarnished with a blue head instead of yellow [he is not happy about it]
Tumblr media
The connection between gravitational powers and the frenzied flame both leads back to their inspiration from black holes and stars. Both needing gravity to exist, and that when your black holes become... Too much. Their collapse under the pressure much like the collapse of people's minds and souls creates the most dense force in elden ring and the most catastrophic. Needling the thread between fun meteor casting and a universe ending singularity.
Hey, at least the frenzied flame is sentient so it is possible you could cradle it and love and care for it like the cosmic-primordial infantile form of life [fancy way to say baby] that it is, like a certain someone in a certain manse and it won't devour you!
This could explain why Astel and other gravity monsters do not use their powers all the time, if they risk obliterating themselves in pressure and fire if they mess around too much. Speaking of powers of teleportation.. our monsters and people that teleport are often ones with some sort of ability to manipulate space-time or revert or go between its layers and laws. There's a couple notables that come to mind and that being Radagon who controls the laws of reality within the lands between, Astel who warps space-time to travel through gravitational wormholes, the Untouchables, and our Frenzied Lords like Midra.
Also Radahn but that's self explanatory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These two are the ones I want to draw the most attention to. The reason is because of their shared ability of teleportation and manipulation of the fabric of reality. Astel as we know teleports constantly, as do the untouchables. The difference in their ability seems to be that Astel can pick a point it wishes to move to and where it wants to pull from within the universe while the Untouchable's teleportation relies on a mind being within their vicinity to pinpoint to and close the gap.
Using the brain and pressurizing and heating the mind so that you act as a catalyst to manipulate space time around yourself to make a weak point for them to enter and teleport to. Our visual indication being how the ground around ourselves and the air ripples and melts in heat. Could be that the reality around us is melting and weakening under the heat the same way it does when you use howl. This ability to come to something based on their psychological condition or thoughts is very common place in lovecraft's work, like in Dagon where the man dreams of the deep ones, and his dreams drew those monsters to be able to manifest and find him in reality. Or how the king in yellow in the playwrite is a cognito hazard where knowing of it can place its influence on your mind and reality.
They do exist, but they do not at the same time. This is likely true for the untouchables as you can not touch them by any means. Wherever they are it is between the fabrics of the world or even outside of it entirely, melting the layers and space to exist in a single instance that we have no way to access on our own. This space between spaces is likely the same exact power the three fingers uses to exist in numerous places at once despite their actual body being imprisoned. The only point of contact being when the untouchable comes to well, touch you. Coming into a space that you're in to make contact to pluck out your eyes.
Making itself invulnerable while able to still influence and even kill the things around itself by merely being in the vicinity is quite the problem! Quite the fun thing to ponder on just how powerful the frenzied lord tarnished can become. With a Frenzied Lord, they also seem to be able to defy gravity around themselves as we see with Midra and his ability to move weightlessly and levitate in battle. Realistically this would also mean that any spells incantations or weapons hurled into the flaming head of a frenzied lord would be pulled in but that'd be annoying mechanically for a game.
Another similar power we see with Radagon is likely a lot more complicated than what Astel and the untouchables/three fingers does. Radagon/Marika dedicate study and laws and methods to overlap and manipulate to etch powers to influence the world around themselves. Good examples is their use of the law of regression and how Radagon etches runes into the ground when he teleports. What Radagon/Marika does is like setting up an elaborate grid to pin point and move around or manipulate while the three fingers/untouchables/frenzied lords just melts a big hole through the grid entirely. Meanwhile Astel does something sorta between the two where it bends points of space time to connect to one another and then seals the points after use and those points pull back to their original places.
This ability to make sink holes in the fabric of reality is likely why Astel is designed after an ant lion. Ant lions like to make holes and pits to trap their prey and to hide inside of.
It does make me wonder how the Frenzied Flame and the Void exist and which one is pulling more, ultimately I believe that the Frenzied Flame is the power pulling everything to itself, including the nothingness and what hides within its darkness, but the Frenzied Flame also creates those spaces of nothingness and darkness. Is there a difference between the void and the flame's pupil? Could you tell the difference when inside? Is it the same? Is that cold void that exists what happens as the flame cools? Considering how it drew in Astel in the Yelough anix tunnel, it's likely that even nothingness and it's children are engulfed by the flame. All of this really furthers the idea that when you begin to bend and break the laws of this universe, the result is chaotic and catastrophic. That the flame will ignite under any circumstances of extreme suffering or breaking of reality.
So basically Elden Ring's laws and reality is like a glow stick and when you crack it up it glows bright yellow and also lights everything on fire. I hope you've enjoyed my long winded ramble of some thoughts I've had bouncing around.

Sorry for slightly rambly rant but I want to get it off my chest
I like the two people I work with at the charity shop but one of them has been driving me fucking insane
1. the fairly frequent joke about locking me inside the shop for the night- for quite a few weeks everytime before closing I was very anxiously looking through my bag thinking my ipod had falled out it hadn't (I anixously looked because of what happened to Catherine the other person I work with left her still partially filled waterbottle- it was one of those with the flip tops and amount written on the side- behind at the shop at the end of the day so she you know went back to get the next day around 10ish the shop opens at nine just to clarify and so she went back and couldn't find her waterbottle so she asked the people on duty that day and do you want to know what they did????????? THEY FUCKING SOLD HER STILL PARTIALLY FULL WATERBOTTLE- after it happened I started to wonder how much they would get for a ipod? which led to many frantic lookthroughs of my bag if I couldn't see it straight away)
and the other far more annoying one so as I'm working in the charity shop I am always looking out for things that my sister/mum/dad would like and one day three dachund toys came in two of which I knew my sister would adore and I didn't grab the two I knew she'd like the moment they came in I waited for the end of the day to get them. And basically the cause of the rant shoved the one I knew my sister would want in my arms and then shoved us out the door and I didn't get the chance to tell them the second reason I don't want that one is the fairly important bit of "my sister won't like it" (the first being that the toy was battery powered and so heavy and then you add the other toy and full waterbottle so yeah)
the response? (other than not giving me a chance to finish my fucking sentence) tough and they better not see it on the side of the road when driving (we are of course talking about me who has spent many a hour litter picking on various walks near where I live) back OR BACK IN SHOP THE NEXT DAY (reminder the other toy that my sister actually wanted was still in the shop the next day she ended up going there around 9ish so she could get it and the battery powered one was called Reject and placed in the donation box within an hour of getting it)
and she brought this up the week after and again a few weeks after that and last week... heck we worked with a new person this week because Catherine is away and I'm surprised it wasn't brought up again
I'm sorry all this has happened, i hope things sort themselves out and get better. Sending loads of hugs! 🤗

I saw for the future, and idk but after the episode end whenever i think of the episode, my chest felt anixous and shit. was weird. hate panic/anxiety for no reason- I hope to god this won't be a thing where i can't enjoy Owl House anymore- i'm rambling and overreacting..
I totally get that. I used to feel that way a lot after new eps of SU premiered, especially information-heavy eps. I'd start out the evening feeling really excited and then I'd start getting rambly and overstimulated. Then, it'd end with me ruminating on anxiety things that are completely unrelated, so for a few days afterward I'd have that negative association of that episode with anxiety.
But yeah, that episode was pretty crazy, so it's completely understandable to feel anxious thinking about it. As you may have noticed, I've been focusing on more of the lighter aspects of Thanks to Them for that very reason.

tristan was quick to climb down from his spot on the tree and walk out to the middle of the action. he moved towards kalena and elika, a small smile forming on the archer’s face. “if she doesn’t wake up before we leave, can you tell her a couple of things for me?” eyebrows furrowed together, he was genuinely curious if she wouldn’t mind. “from one hunter to the other, i have to say that i’m impressed. i heard her and her flight eating their prey earlier. kind of wanted to know if it was a flock of nene, anix deers, or something else... i didn’t pick any of them up until i heard them eating, they’re definitely as swift as the wind. so are you by the way.” talking to animals was enough to make him look weird to the others, now genuinely complimenting what could possibly be the most dangerous harpy around? he was just asking for isolation. “i don’t mean to be a fangirl or whatever the younger ones call it nowadays, but just tell her the son of artemis is wildly impressed. i was honored to try and help save such a worthy opponent and now hopefully friend.” tristan was definitely going to be judged for this, but he didn’t care. his plan had worked and he felt proud about that. elika was saved, but he had gotten a glimpse of how smart she was. “lastly before i take up anymore of your time, just let her know i admire her intelligence and prowess. not every day that someone makes me second guess a hunting strategy. her and i have a lot of similarities. thank you for allowing us the chance to help as well and for giving us shelter.” he bows slightly in front of them, finally deciding to stop all of his rambling for one night.
