theres something about looking at 2019 anita and noticing the change over the years since i first created them-

sidestep!anita in 2019 did have that hair- they still go nonbinary but there wasn't a thought of them being trans masc at all. they were much more softer and sweeter iirc, i used to view them as the baby of the team.

sidestep!anita in 2023 (this year) have me grab them and rattles them nowadays. they're still nonbinary and they're still a lesbian- but i gave them being trans masc and so recently they're on T which is probably why they looks so much more masc and frankly im happy with the current design!! and they're more a little shit, was pretty chatty (especially after they achieved getting a deep pitch they want). OH and i gave them circular glasses which had became their signature in this verse (and in other universes sdgmsmd)

only thing that doesn't change is their love for the world that is stolen away by trauma(s) <3 (outsider scar babeee lets gooo)

what  makes  your  muse  uncomfortable  ? :  being  in  the  middle  of  an  argument .


what  calms  your  muse  down  ?  :  looking  at  nature .  it’s  very  cathartic  for  her  —  watching  the  trees  sway,  watching  the  grass  dance  to  the  rhythm  of  the  wind,  the  clouds  swirl  in  the  sky,  watch  a  ladybug  crawling  on  flower’s  petal,  a  bee  humming  around  a  flower  patch  ?  oh,  she  could  do  it  all  day .


is  your  muse  a  follower  or  a  leader  ? :  a  follower  .  she  likes  having  someone  to  look  up  to  and  part  of  that  i  believe  stems  from  the  fact  that  she  isn’t  very  keen  on  having  responsibilities.  and  well  she’s  a  pushover  .


what  is  your  muse’s  biggest  accomplishment  ? :  for  her  parents  it’s  that  she’s  a  remarkable  equestrian  and  proficient  ballerina  .  for  her  it’s  managing  to  keep  the  baby  cactus  in  her  room  alive  .

"Hey, am I holding this right?" Anita had made it a point to avoid using weapons for as long as possible, but it seemed her opinions had shifted recently. Flintlock in hand, she turned to Morgan with a cinched brow and pursed lips. "It's heavier than I thought it would be. The way you use 'em, they looked like they don't weigh anything at all."

Empty bottles of all capacities and brands of ale standing in a row, awaited today's drill with military patience. Here in the glade, Morgan and Anita would spend time shooting glass, hopefully without disrupting the natural life of the habitat. They were far off from the trees that the flying shards would not bother the birds and other tree-dwellers.

When Anita had first expressed her wish to get her hands on the flintlocks, apprehension had plastered itself all over Morgan's countenance. This anxiety resulted not from an unwillingness to share, but a natural worry for permitting a friend to get harmed in the name of a whim. Upon a negative answer coming from Anita as to whether she had ever tried a firearm before, the disquiet had doubled. Even those of accomplished marksmanship avoided flintlocks out of prejudice and would, therefore, face difficulties in handing one.

Flintlocks were, arguably, tedious guns to employ, hardly an enthusiastic gunner's first choice for battle or hunting. Of a temperamental nature, they demanded patience and attention to every minutiae, much like a woman of passion requests of her lover. What's more, flintlocks were considered somewhat of a relic these days, where men had all sorts of repetition arms and faster killing machines at their disposal, but in this resided their charm. In Shipwreck Island, piracy was both the tradition and traditional in its modus operandi, as though ordinary life had stopped in the century prior.

Anita's decision going nowhere, Morgan had decided to turn her friend's desire into a teachable moment and a bonding memory. After all, she mused, someone had taught her once, too, as a child no less, first with hardwood instead of flint and using bottles such as these for practice targets.

Morgan lent Anita one of her guns, keeping the other for herself during the exercise, for which was lucky to own twins.

She smiled softly at Anita’s remark. Marksmanship was no different than, say, acrobatics — if you are skilled enough in what you and compensate your mistakes with unbridled confidence, in the eyes of others, you will appear a virtuoso and make the task at hand seemingly easy to replicate.

❝ First, we load. ❞ She started, ❝ by measuring the gunpowder and pouring it into the barrel. ❞ and handed Anita a cylinder and a sample of gunpowder taken from the leather bag at her waist. 

It was rare that Morgan carried the pouch visibly looped into her belt, but now she did for practicality’s sake. Sometimes the location was no different but in hiding it would be under her frock. Other times, she would fasten the pouch around the holster on her thigh or carry it inside a bigger bag in the trendiest female fashion. In it, she carried her shooting essentials as though she would toiletries.

The measure accurately matched the caliber of her guns, leaving Anita to scoop up the powder and drop it in the pan. Morgan pointed right underneath the piece of flint to mark the opening.

She continued. ❝ Now we will be inserting these lead balls down the barrel with the ramrod. You do one continuous move, do not pull back. You will know when it is seating on the powder. But before we do, we must cover the balls in patches of fabric. ❞ Once more, Morgan rummaged the bag and grabbed two squares of cotton already lubricated with beeswax.

She did hope Anita was not getting too bored with the lecture and wondering when the shooting part actually begun. There was so much preparation to a flintlock before it could be fired, and mind you, this model was not one of the worst ones to load and prime, which was the ensuing step. All the while, Morgan exemplified the steps with her own flintlock or allowed Anita to try on hers, learning the different pieces of the gun's anatomy as she went.

❝ We close the frizzen on the pan — it's this protuberance here — and the arm is ready. We full cock it, take aim, pull the trigger and as we do the piece of flint strikes the frizzle to create the spark... You cannot lose your aim. ❞ Morgan said with gravitas.  ❝ It will take you two times to get the shot. First, you must await for the priming charge to ignite, then the main charge. ❞

We did warn the process was monotonous. Perhaps now Anita understood why flintlocks were not fashionable anymore, neither among pirates or marines. No one enjoyed waiting and not many wanted to hold position while they did.

Taking aim at the bottle on the right extremity of the row, Morgan exemplified, placing her upper limbs as she had learned to do, some adaptation having been required when puberty had moulded her torso into more accommodating curves, and quicker than anticipated the ammo was shot and the bottle burst into fragments.

❝ They are somewhat slow guns, I reckon, but they get the job done if all is properly set up to optimise ignition. The more you practice, of course, the faster you succeed in repeating these steps with ease of motion. ❞ She fondled the open-mouthed lion which adorned the butt of her arm on a silver crest. ❝ It is one of the loveliest things to me, to hear my lion roar.

   The Future Is Bright, I’ve Got Good Luck in Spades Freestyle Story by Stella Carrier

             Leonardo Jason wakes up inside of a tent hitched near four days at Tomorrowland festival 2158. He is one of the organizers of the festival as he is a 43 year old man descended from his  Great-Great-Great uncle and aunt Stuart Tyler and Pearl Griffin. Pearl Griffin was a 30 year old fast food worker formerly affiliated with Walt Disneyland  when she met Stuart. Pearl also made a living as a model as she looked like one of the females from the Games of Thrones television series. Pearl unexpectedly met 48 year old Stuart Tyler who was organizing a music concert inside of a hybrid hotel and mall that was sponsoring a mini concert of Zedd and Liam Payne singing the Get Low song. The hotel and mall building opened by the year 2040 in Los Angeles California. The multiple 57 businessman who funded and masterminded this building all agreed to model it after the hybrid mall and hotel building that is called swissotel the Stamford in Singapore.

             Anyhow, Pearl Griffin unexpectedly met Stuart Tyler by accident as she was hired as a maid to clean various rooms within this new hotel called the Cupid that even bought the rights to have a hot dog place called the Cupid inside of this hybrid mall and hotel that is so big that is covers 2 miles. Anyhow, Pearl Griffin was happy to have this job as she had been looking for this job for some time and got hired on a whim when she happened to walk in asking about job openings after another maid named Valentina quit that same day as she had inherited 20 million dollars and did not feel the need to put in her two weeks. Pearl Griffin happened by luck to be within earshot and convinced the two 60 year female managers named Betty and Erin to give her a chance to work as a maid despite her lack of experience. She convinced them by offering to leave the job at their request after three months if they wanted to.

             Pearl Griffin was on her seventh day on the job after attending a three day orientation when she started work on her cleaning assignments on the right side of the Cupid hotel and shopping mall. She walked in room 808 to start cleaning and figured that maybe the door was open because the previous guest might have checked out without making sure the door was closed. After hall, this happened to her just an hour ago and so she thought nothing of entering after knocking on the door and nobody answering. However, Pearl Griffin got fifty yards in to the room when she accidently saw Stuart Tyler in intimate relations with a Zsa Zsa Gabor lookalike via having her bent over the bed and another man resembling Stuart who appeared to be slightly younger who was laying down on top of the bed with a woman who resembled Barbara Eden on top of him. Pearl Griffin apologized profusely and secretly hoped that she would not  get in trouble in her new job.  

 Griffin unintentionally lost her fast food job at Disneyland less than a year ago because she attracted the romantic attentions of a popular male coworker named 27 year old Maxwell who was well liked by many females at the job including a 29 year old female named Mya. Maxwell secretly had a crush on Pearl Griffin but he also liked Mya as well due to being previously romantically involved with her. However, Pearl Griffin found Maxwell’s attention flattering but was only interested in him as a friend but this did not stop Maxwell from continuing to try. Meanwhile, Mya missed Maxwell and found Pearl to be a romantic threat when Maxwell flirted with Pearl in front of her. At the same time, one of the newer supervisors had a crush on Mya and had a difficult decision of letting some employees go for budget reasons in order to allow other employees to keep their jobs. It was little surprise to Pearl who was behind the new supervisor Elias’s decision to force her start over as Mya was even in the office as a witness rather than a human resources person.

 Pearl Griffin wanted to last at her new job plus she knew that she wanted to make Los Angeles her long term place to stay and as she cleaned three other rooms she knew that she had to think quick in order to keep her job. Griffin went downstairs to the new food court to grab a quick snack for one of the meal breaks she was allowed while she contemplated whether or not to tell on herself to the new female managers. Less than a few seconds later, Stuart Tyler approaches Pearl Griffin for a voice over job as he was impressed by her voice when she spoke during the embarrassing moment.  Griffin took a chance and met Tyler on the job for three weeks in a row for voice over work which netted her three other voice over jobs before he admitted to her that he was one of the 57 people who invested in the hotel/mall and when she unexpectedly caught him in the heat of the moment he was just testing out the new hotel rooms with some old flames.  The rest is pretty much history in terms of how Pearl Griffin and Stuart Tyler got together.

 Leonardo Jason listens to his mom Grace Jason recall the story of how Griffin and Pearl got together before also investing in the Tomorrowland festival as Jason politely tells his mom that he loves her but he has to leave in five minutes to go interview a 50 year old woman for the Los Angeles Times named Anita Mythic.

 Leonardo Jason walks from the Tomorrowland music festival and less than a mile walk away is a city in Los Angeles that has ten buildings lined up together that are even larger versions of the hotel and mall buildings that were built in the 2000s. Jason meets Anita Mythic outside of a train station with eight different stops reading

 Red train to Virginia Beach Virginia from Los Angeles leaves in 3 minutes and arrives in Chesapeake Beach Party area of Virginia approximately 29 minutes

 Blue train from Tomorrowland Music festival in Los Angeles California to Busch Gardens Williamsburg Virginia and Violet Bright Orange University of Williamsburg leaves Los Angeles Cupid station in five minutes and arrives in Virginia 20 minutes.

 To Leonardo Jason’s right is five different boats and buses for people who may want to travel different ways.

 A yellow boat has a sign itinerary on the right side of the boat arrive in Washington D.C. in approximately in an hour first destination Bob’s Discount Furniture  and hybrid three mile stadium building housing University of Maryland in Washington D.C. and Old Dominion University Washington D.C. campus leaves in five minutes.

 A peach and turquoise blue boat spanning a mile long reads in a red and pink sign leaves in three minutes to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, arrive in 12 minutes to a two mile building house California Creative Writer’s university with special writing guests of descendants of the authors Martin Landau, Jurgen Ziewe, Robert Crais, and descendants of the authors who wrote the Secrets of Success and Prosperity who are now both professors and writers themselves.

 Leonard Jason wonders if he needs to ask his mom when his wife 50 year old  wife Jody Khan escorts Anita Mythic to Leonard Jason.
