Propaganda
Anita Page (Our Dancing Daughters, The Broadway Melody, Our Modern Maidens)— She's as stunning as you'd expect someone once dubbed "The Girl With The Most Beautiful Face In Hollywood" to be, but what makes her stand out for me is the sweetness of her features. She comes across as very genuine.
Jean Arthur (Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Easy Living, The Talk of the Town)—Always found the best facial expression and the perfect line delivery, so nailed the transition from silent film to talkies (her voice is CRAZY btw- high and overly sweet but also so gravelly she's like a breakfast parfait), then went on to dominate roles in multiple genres well into her 50s. Such a great personality both onscreen and off, and to our end pulls off 'gorgeous,' 'sexy,' and 'cute' all at once (in a word: hot!)
This is round 1 of the tournament. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage woman.
[additional propaganda submitted under the cut]

Jean Arthur:

i had to submit every movie of hers ive seen so far because 1) shes GORGEOUS. 2) extremely gifted with comic timing and delivery and whats better than a confident beautiful woman that makes you laugh. and 3) seems to effortlessly blend wit emotion and logic in her performances in a way that sometimes is just so... it tells you as much about the other characters shes interacting with as it does her own (see this clip from mr smith)
youtube
Adorable and sultry with a voice that went from urban smartass to sounding, as director Frank Capra described it, more like tinkling bells than a voice has a right to sound
jean arthur wearing bucksin trousers and a little hat in the plainsman was fully my queer awakening. i love that woman so much. she has defined calamity jane for me. also she is adorable and heartbreaking and SMOKING HOT in deeds like everyone needs to experience her, she's everything to me
Tumblr media
She's a chameleon, rocking any hair colour and any style, any mood and any genre. And she's got such a fine, captivating smile!
Truly amazing talking voice, like eating pop candy. Played wise cracking gals with hearts of gold. Once got arrested for trespassing because she went to console a dog that was being mistreated. Angel. Star. Baby. Winner!

It’s WIP Wednesday and I finally have something to share! 🎉
I should have this out by tomorrow but we’ll see what the brain says 😂
I hope you enjoy! ❤️
La Folie de Toi
Ch. 1 Snipet:
There was a gentle tinkling as you entered and made your way to the corner office, where one of your favorite owned souls sat, reading through something on her computer. Knocking gently on the open door, you gave a small smile as the ram looked up to you.
“Looks like someone’s had a long day,” she commented, sliding her large red glasses back up her nose as she swiveled her chair to face you. Your face fell as you blew out a large breath, your posture deflating.
“Six therapy fox sessions in a row. That’s the busiest I’ve been in this industry in a while. How was your day, Nita?”
Anita leaned back in her chair to stretch her limbs with a yawn. “Not too bad. Had a couple of appointments, but mostly catching up on paperwork. It looks like there’s a turf war brewing, so we may need to move, but I’ve got Louis and Nipper keeping their eyes and ears on the situation. Hopefully it will settle soon,” she said. “Do you need a session?”
You took a moment to take stock of your body before shaking your head. “Nah, I’m doing good right now. Definitely still on for my regular next week though,” you replied. “I was actually wanting to see if we could arrange a provider meeting soon. I want to run an idea by everyone and see if anyone would be up for it.”
Anita cocked her head, a small smile playing on her lips. “Another pet project, dear?” You chuckled in reply, leaning on the doorframe. “Maaaaayybe,” you teased playfully.
“Can I get a sneak peek?”
“I don’t know how exciting it will be, but depending on if there’s anyone willing to do it, I will be approaching Charlie to offer our services in house. I’m thinking since the renovation of the hotel, and with the presence of King Morningstar helping to protect the property, that we could take up residence on one of the floors there. We can always maintain our regular arrangements, but it would be so nice to just have one permanent spot to stay in. They would get our professional services to support their residents, and we would get a permanent place to live and work. Well, living there would need to just be an option, not requirement, but free room and board is a pretty picture. It would be a win-win!”
Anita’s golden eyes widened as you finished your proposal, dropping the pen she’d been playing with. “Are you serious? You think they’d go for it?!” It would seem you had at least one volunteer already. Chuckling, you gave a nod in affirmation.
“I think so. From what I’ve seen of the princess, she’s an absolute sweetheart who genuinely wants to help her people, she just needs a little help figuring out the recovery process. I think you’d really like her, she’s even bouncier than you.”
Anita gave an excited bleat, clapping her hands as she bounced in her chair. “Well, if you can’t tell, I’m definitely down! My landlord has been propositioning me since I moved in,” she groaned.
Your smile twitched at that- demons like her were often seen as easy prey. Hell, even you had trouble, and you were technically a predator! Cruel people saw a small, vulnerable looking creature and they wanted to crush them. “Do you need some help? My service is yours, Nita. What’s the point of our deal if you just end up putting up with the same shit?”
You kept your voice soft, not wanting to push her away, and she shook her head.
“I’m good, sweetheart. He’s all talk,” she waved the notion off.
“Well, don’t be too nervous if he somehow disappears,” you replied with a wicked grin.
Anita gave an exaggerated sigh, “just wait until we’re sure we get to shack up with the royals, yeah?”

Beauty & the Bieber (Unexpected Musical) — PattyCake Productions music video
youtube
Continuing their signature style of combining childhood classics with modern music, the PattyCake guys decided to tackle a tale as old as time for their next project. In addition to Justin Bieber's melodies and the musical motifs from the 1991 animated film, they also included elements from the forthcoming 2017 live action remake.
Details:
title: Unexpected Musicals — Beauty and the Bieber
performers: Jamie Fritz (Belle); Earl Elkins, Jr. (Beast); E. Michael Evans (Gaston); Joey D'Angelo-LaJoie (LaFou); Alexander Browne (Lumiere); Brad Pettitt (Prince Adam); Leah Lowman (village girls); Anita Wakim (Enchantress)
original songs / performers: [0:15] "I'll Show You" by Justin Bieber; [0:53] "Baby" by Justin Bieber, feat. Ludacris; [1:09] "Love Yourself" by Justin Bieber; [1:21] "Never Say Never" by Justin Bieber, feat. Jaden; [2:12] "Boyfriend" by Justin Bieber; [2:36] "Company" by Justin Bieber; [3:30] "Beauty and a Beat" by Justin Bieber, feat. Nicki Minaj; [4:10] "Sorry" by Justin Bieber; [4:22] "Let Me Love You" by DJ Snake, feat. Justin Bieber; [4:44] "Cold Water" by Major Lazer, feat. Justin Bieber & MØ
written by: "I'll Show You" by Justin Bieber, Michael "BloodPop" Tucker, Sonny "Skrillex" Moore, Theron "Neff-U" Feemster, & Joshua Gudwin; "Baby" by Justin Bieber, Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, Terius "The-Dream" Nash, Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges, & Christina Milian; "Love Yourself" by Justin Bieber, Benjamin "Benny Blanco" Levin, & Ed Sheeran; "Never Say Never" by Adam "Messy" Messinger, Nasri Atweh, Thaddis "Kuk" Harrell, Jaden Smith, Omarr Rambert, & Justin Bieber; "Boyfriend" by Mike Posner, Mason Levy, Matthew "Blackbear" Musto, & Justin Bieber; "Company" by Justin Bieber, Andreas Schuller, James Wong, Leroy Clampitt, Jason "Poo Bear" Boyd, James "JHart" Abrahart, & Thomas Troelsen; "Beauty and a Beat" by Max Martin, Anton "Zedd" Zaslavski, Savan Kotecha, & Nicki Minaj; "Sorry" by Justin Bieber, Michael "BloodPop" Tucker, Sonny "Skrillex" Moore, Justin Tranter, & Julia Michaels; "Let Me Love You" by William "DJ Snake" Grigahcine, Justin Bieber, Andrew "Watt" Wotman, Ali Tamposi, Brian Lee, & Louis Bell; "Cold Water" by Thomas "Diplo" Pentz, Justin Bieber, Karen Marie "MØ" Ørsted, Benjamin "Benny Blanco" Levin, "King Henry" Allen, Philip "Jr Blender" Meckseper, Ed Sheeran, & Jamie Scott
arranged by: Layne Stein & Tony Wakim
release date: 17 March 2017
My favorite bits:
combining the rhythmic strings and the villagers' greetings from "Belle" with the melody for "I'll Show You"
Belle explicitly giving Gaston the brush-off
the tinkling minor motif from the animated movie as Belle enters the castle
Earl's fantastic growl at the end of "Never Say Never"
LaFou's gleeful fawning over Gaston and dancing on the tables
the sneaky ♫ "May-be" ♫ from "Company" overlapping with the tavern scene and leading into the "Be Our Guest" instrumentation
the Beast's lovely vulnerability during the dinner and dancing
using the crunchy horn motif from "Battle on the Tower" to create menace in this version of "Let Me Love You"
Earl's voice being layered over the final lyrics after the transformation

Trivia:
○ The obvious starting point for this project was Jusin Beiber's "Beauty and a Beat", which Tony and Layne had performed as part of VoicePlay's "Wow! Vol. 1" medley during the 2015 Sing-Off tour, but one song does not a full plot make. The guys delved into his extended catalogue to find songs that fit certain story beats and would blend well with the animated movie's score.
○ This was an incredibly ambtious undertaking. According to the PattyCake guys, preparations took five months, and filming spanned "six long days" (and nights, clearly).
○ All that hard work paid off, though, since they were able to time their YouTube release for the same day that the Emma Watson movie hit theaters.
○ VoicePlay recorded a Beauty and the Beast medley for "Once Upon an Ever After" (2012), their first album with Tony as a member of the group. Excerpts from that arrangement later appeared in their music videos "Be Our Guest", "Aca Top 10 – Disney Sidekicks", and "Aca Top 10 – Disney Villains". They also included "Belle" in their "Aca Top 10 – Broadway" countdown.
○ "Love Yourself" was the first song in VoicePlay's PartWork series, which they started as preparation for Tony leaving the group.
○ Layne occasionally used "Baby" as his interruption at the end of VoicePlay's "Road Trip" medley / comedy sketch.
○ On top of their usual studio work, this production required multiple location shoots:
The outdoor village scenes were filmed at the Casa Feliz museum.
Beast's castle interior was the Ballroom at Church Street, which closed in 2019, and was demolished 2023.
The tavern was an actual bar, the Tap Room at Dubsdread.
○ Between the main cast and dozens of background folks, they needed so many costumes that Tony enlisted his mom Anita to help wrangle them all.
○ There are several of Tony's fellow "Beetlejuice Revue" alumni among the main cast:
Michael (Gaston) played Dracula and Frankenstein's monster.
Joey (LaFou) played Wolfman and Dracula.
Brad (Prince Adam) was a dancer in the final "Mashup" iteration of the show.
○ There are also many friends and family among the background cast and crew, including several cast members from previous Unexpected Musicals. Olivia Adkins and Leah Lowman are among the village crowd as Snow White and Cinderella. Rachel Copeland and Matthew Buckner are in the tavern crowd, but not as their previous characters. Many of the other villagers were clubgoers in "Hocus Heathens".
○ This video got a nice write-up on Huffington Post.

Note
anita would like kisses please, thank you <3
Anita gets kisses – when she gets home at four in the morning and crawls into bed after washing blood and dirt and spleen from her skin, from the man who’d waited awake for her, reminding her of the softness in the world when her blood still sings of rage and violence.
She gets them mid sentence, when she has more fire than him in that moment and instead of a sounding-board she needs a redirection of energy and there’s no polite way of saying, ‘ Let me kiss it better, ’ or maybe there is and that’s what he does, deep and slow and inviting and instead of anger clawing up her insides it’s lust and the burn of a starved love.
She gets them frantic and biting, pulled into an embrace that has her wrapping her legs around his hips and her hands clutching into his hair, the agent supposed to be doing her debriefing left awkward and bewildered by the display of affection from the formidable Executioner and former Winter Soldier.
And she gets them reverent and doting, a long line of them pressed along her body, over long lasting scars that have become familiar terrain to his lips, hushed murmurs of appreciation, tinkling of laughter when his unruly hair brushes against somewhere sensitive, the struggle to get away subdued by hands that could be deceptively gentle, until finally he reaches her mouth and it’s that feeling of belonging, of being seen and understood, and therefore made real under someone else’s eyes, someone else’s touch, their caress, that neither of them thought was possible. Not for people like them.

Renee: Oh, darling. If only we could tell you.
Her voice is a slithery silver chain, and her words hang from it like pretty tinkling charms.  Kylie Minogue is chanting 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' which is funny because she is in Renee's head, but also outside, the beautiful boys waving their hands in the air in jubilant acknowledgement of her divinity. Anita plonks down on the couch, her inebriated eyes attempting to focus on Renee's. The lurex threads in her outfit shimmer across Renee's vision, as mesmerizing as candle flame.
Anita: Tell me! Renee: Darling, we can't. Saffron: I want to tell her. Renee: Let me tell her.
Saffron falls back against the arm of the couch, her smiling face illuminated by the spinning multi-coloured disco lights.
Renee: Darling...we each had a white llama. And we're peaking right now and it's...it's so intense. But so....amazing. Anita: Are you crazy? Saffron? Is this a joke? Saffron! Renee: It's not a joke, darling. Please don't be angry. I know how you feel about drugs but these are...just incredible. We're not going to die or have seizures or brain aneurysms or turn psychotic. We're just enjoying the most exquisite, euphoric experience of our lives. Anita: You are both insane. Hate you all right now. Everyone in this club. ‘Cept maybe Joël. Should have known tonight was going to be a disaster. Come on. Let's go. Now. Renee: We aren't able to go anywhere, darling. I'm sorry.
Anita climbs unsteadily to her feet. She stands swaying, tears of frustration glittering in the corners of her eyes. Saffron is suffused by the desire to share with her the secret to all that is pure and radiant in the universe. She doesn't know how she is able to raise herself up from the couch, but she does know that it is love for her mother that makes it possible. She puts her arms around Anita, and Anita after several stunned seconds hugs her back.
Saffron: Mum. Please have one. Come on. Please. It'll be the most awesome thing you've ever done. It's my birthday present to you. Come on, look at us. Renee's right. These pills are the real deal. You don't need to worry about anything. Nothing bad will happen. We want you to be on the same level as us, Mum. We want you to experience this with us. Come on, Mum. Please. Anita: I must be way, way drunker than I thought to even be listening to this. Monica was right- Saffron: Don't be scared, Mum. I know you. Nothing scares you.
Anita looks at Renee, who stares back at her with bliss-filled eyes.
Renee: Don't be scared of finding inner peace and beauty, darling. Just embrace it.  Anita: Alright, alright. Oh, dear sweet Jesus. I have officially lost my mind. God help me. Saffron: God will not only be helping you Mum, he'll be giving you high-fives.

tea & sympathy | fleur & phyl (sfw)
Dropping onto the couch with a sigh, Fleur felt an uncharacteristic sense of melancholy tingling in her chest. Oftentimes, Fleur found it easy to brush aside the nagging sense of self-doubt or anxiety that sometimes bubbled under the surface of her jovial, sunny disposition but on some afternoons, particularly in the winter when the nights were closing in slowly, minute by minute, she found the dread difficult to suppress. The sitting room was warm with the hearth crackling merrily, casting golden hues across the old Persian rug sprawled near it. Anita and Mae were sitting on the velvet stool by the piano, tinkling the keys in an improvised tune that did nothing to lift Fleur’s spirits. Rain pattered against the fogged window panes, half-hidden by heavy curtains. Fleur heard the roll and slosh of car wheels in the street as commuters made their way home. Streetlights were turning on one after another, tracing circles of yellow light on the dark pavement. All was peaceful and yet Fleur could find no rest. Anita had taken to playing something slow but merry and Mae had begun to sing softly, sounding somewhat embarrassed by her own sweet voice. Fleur listened and tried her best at smiling. It was then that she felt a slight tap on the top of her head, disrupting her sunny yellow curls. She looked up and saw Phyl watching her upside down, a mug in each hand.
‘I made a pot of lemon and ginger tea,’ Phyl said, carefully holding one mug out to where Fleur could take it from her. ‘Sweetened it with honey and added a pinch of turmeric like you showed me.’
Fleur took it gratefully and scooted over for Phyl to walk around to sit by her. Phyl always smelled of star anise and warm wool. She was soft and comforting and somehow she knew when any of her sisters felt under the weather. Well, Fleur knew exactly what gave Phyl her talents but they kept it between them. Phyl wore a crocheted shawl that Clare had made for her in a fetching shade of rust orange. Holding her own mug of tea in her right hand and opening the corner of her shawl away from her slender frame with her left, Fleur sat forward to allow Phyl to drape the crocheted wool over her bare shoulder. She hunkered down against Phyl’s side, tucking her head beneath her roommate’s chin. Phyl pressed a kiss into Fleur’s curls and held her gently.
‘Should I call Teddy and get him to come over?’ Phyl asked quietly before sipping her tea.
‘No,’ Fleur replied, listening to Phyl’s steadily thumping heartbeat. ‘He’ll be in the dark room anyway. And I think I just want to stay here for now anyway.’
Phyl chuckled and set her head on top of Fleur’s. ‘Sounds good to me.’

happy moments this weekend: smiling and reading the good immigrant, wellness articles, recipes, playing jenga with my sister, dancing to afrobeats while working out in my room, lighting several candles, smashing avocados and cutting fresh kale, popping a bottle of sparkling wine just because, tilling the ground and planting cucumbers with mom, practicing my mother tongue with my father, sneaking pieces of pineapple and strawberries and blueberries from the bowl, feeling the cool knife in my hand as I chopped the green goodness of okra, listening to stevie and anita and gladys and luther and sam and whitney and marvin and the tinkling of laughter bouncing off the walls in our home.
this is slow living.

A Week of Big Decisions...
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (7th-11th October 2019)
There was more upset for Scott and Mitchell this week as Mitchell continued to struggle with his feelings towards Scott’s drag alter ego, Anita Tinkle. Mitchell was under pressure from all sides this week as Cleo was keen to move in with him whilst Scott wanted him to make a decision about who he wanted to be with once and for all. Deciding it was Cleo he wanted, Mitchell put down a deposit on a flat, despite initially facing opposition from Walter. Devastated by the rejection, Scott wrote a note calling Mitchell a liar and put it through the letterbox of Cleo and Mitchell’s new flat. Although Cleo discovered the note, Mitchell was able to lie his way out of it, claiming it had been written by a jealous ex.
Tumblr media
Later in the week, Mitchell’s feelings for Anita were reignited when the pair took part in a charity dance-a-thon at The Dog. After the dance, Mitchell raced from the pub, but was followed by Anita, and the pair quickly ended up back at the new flat, where they slept together for the first time. At the same time, Walter was trying to contact his Grandson, but Mitchell, caught up in the moment chose to ignore the call. Later, Martine and Lisa were horrified when they returned home to discover Walter collapsed on the floor. It wasn’t until the following morning that Mitchell finally received the messages left by his angry family and he raced to the hospital to be told that his Grandfather had suffered a stroke. Believing that he could have helped him if only he hadn’t been with Anita, Mitchell struggled to deal with his guilt and he later set fire to Anita’s wig and told her he wanted nothing more to do with her.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, it was time for Brooke and Ollie to face reality when their families decided that they weren’t taking Brooke’s pregnancy seriously. After Mandy overheard a conversation between Ollie and Imran about the baby and Nancy realised that Brooke had failed to attend her 12 week scan, the women decided to stage an intervention, and, along with Darren and Luke, sat the teens down for a discussion. Although Ollie insisted he was ready for parenthood, the same couldn’t be said for Brooke, but, after a chat with Tom about what a positive influence Steph had been on his life, she came round. The following day, Brooke, Ollie and Nancy attended the scan, however, Brooke became overwhelmed by all the questions thrown at her and ran off. Ollie realised that Brooke was struggling and decided to prove his commitment to her by proposing! However, Ollie was left devastated when Brooke declined his proposal and admitted that she wanted to put their baby up for adoption.
Tumblr media
Elsewhere, it was a difficult week for Maxine as she continued to struggle with the village’s hostility towards her, and things only got worse when her attempts to pay people back saw her declared bankrupt. Kind hearted Cleo attempted to help and offered Maxine the chance to pick up some shifts at the pub, but Nana was having none of it and sent her on her way. The McQueen’s may not have been able to help, but Cleo knew someone who could, and so took Maxine to see Walter, who agreed to give her a trial at Price Slice. However, although Maxine’s shift went well, she was dismayed to learn that she wouldn’t be paid until the end of the month. With Minnie desperately needing a new coat, Maxine attempted to pocket some cash from the till, but she was caught out and promptly fired. Now back at square one, Maxine turned to Liberty and, claiming to have left her bank card on the bus, asked to borrow £20. A reluctant Liberty handed over the cash, but she soon came to regret her decision when Martine and Lisa stormed round to accuse Maxine’s theft of causing Walter’s stroke. At the end of the week, Maxine received a phone call from Mitzeee, inviting her and Minnie to visit her in America. Maxine was delighted at the prospect of getting away, but was forced to ask her sister to pay for the flights for her.
Tumblr media
Finally, there was devastation for James as he struggled to come to terms with Harry’s murder. Marnie was concerned for her Son’s wellbeing when she returned home to find James having a party with a group of random men, and things only got worse for the solicitor when he found himself arrested on suspicion of Harry’s murder! The accusation came about courtesy of Breda, who discovered that James had been tracking Harry’s phone before he died. Luckily for James, the police were unable to find any concrete evidence linking him to Harry’s murder, but James spiralled more and more out of control and ended up standing on the archway over-looking the village. Romeo was able to talk his Father down, and Marnie hoped that James could work at getting his life back on track. However, James continued to pick up random men, leading to him punching Romeo when his son found out what he was up to. Needing space from James, Romeo started squatting in the empty Maalik house, whilst James struggled with the guilt of what he had done.
Tumblr media
5 Things We Learned This Week:
1. Nancy really needs to take her teaching responsibilities more seriously. Yes, family is important, but I’ve never known a teacher get as much time off during the school day as she does!
2. The Hollyoaks cast were surely fishing for invites to appear on Strictly Come Dancing this week as the McQueen’s held a dance-a-thon at The Dog. Sally and Tom dancing to Despacito was a particular highlight.
3. When he’s not working, Walter likes to unwind with a Murder She Wrote boxset. Why would he watch that when he can take part in real murder investigations right on his own doorstep?
4. It’s the end of Minnie Cabs as Maxine’s business has gone into receivership. Not that she was ever there, anyway. But what about poor Doreen Thorpe, who worked on the switchboard? First her husband gets bumped off at the hands of Duncan from Blue and now this!
5. Parenting’s easy, really. With Brooke and Ollie struggling with the idea of parenthood this week, Tom and Peri were on hand to help, and were held up as a shining beacon of success. Except, Peri had nothing to do with Steph for years, and you wouldn’t have known that Tom was a single Father. Of course they make parenting look easy, they’re never with their daughter!
This Week’s Cast:
Breda, Brody, Brooke, Cleo, Darren, Diane, Goldie, Grace, Imran, Jack, James, Joel, Juliet, Liberty, Lisa, Luke, Mandy, Marnie, Martine, Maxine, Minnie, Misbah, Mitchell, Nana McQueen, Nancy, Oliver, Peri, Romeo, Sally, Scott, Sienna, Tom, Tony and Walter.
Blasts From The Past:
Helen Cunningham, Gordon Cunningham, Lily Drinkwell, Warren Fox, Hunter McQueen, Prince McQueen, Mitzeee Minniver, Alfie Nightingale, Mac Nightingale, Nathan Nightingale. Donna-Marie Quinn, Buster Smith, Harry Thompson,

Poetry Suite A Quartet of Love and Death in the Cloud
Poetry Suite
A Quartet of Love and Death in the Cloud
 1 Cloud
Clouds is of solitude that clutters
Around the night of Whole Darkness
Something is revealed a scar in the Fog
Weeping thorns are ambitious
They are transmitted over in the Air
Yellow wailing of peasant women showers purple
On the earth…
Ripples of lights expand
Solitude is not a lonely piece of Cloud in holes of smiles
Not in my pants
Facial expressions stopped our Love and Pains of Shadow
Often -----------
It appears to be the sorrow of your Childhood
Flushed and floating over the Lake of Paradise
Bouts of laughs strokes the Body
Now they are gone with the Wind and Cloud
 Sinking underneath…
 Blue rolls over
Lightening strikes by
Sallow
 Physical draught blows towards
- @ eyes
- fair plaits shine through
- pale
you have become
Beauty in the Castle of Vampires
Ghosts trains carry the Emptiness into our Platform
That was the twightlights of a Morning
 Don is Goo
 Closer and closer together///
This is Now
Understanding experiences of the Spaces and
Physical magnetic fields of a snail’s pace
Urgent is our Homo Sapien’s certain qualities
Tragedies yell at the yellow killing Moon.
Urgent is the telepathic trio
Shouting and screaming and hollering
Towards the Mountains of Fountain and Pines
Our intimacy spun around an endless black holy
Hole…
Your high heels are blogged
The paradise is occasional
The Tables in the house of No. 8 … …
It meant ------- being disturbed up
Inside out
Inside on
In between…
 In the cherry Blossom
- there was your lust longing
- so
- we split
The birth of Darkness we shared the Same Emotion
Smile of bitterness are the Waves of blood and flesh
The bridges has splint and sprint
Good-bye! Chives have been chopped up
Both of you in triumph and the hands that stroke through
Hills and mountains in glory, which are
Darting up up up
 Resplendence
The morning light is not on the Fence
Though when evening approaches,
K is agitated
The fire is pure until now
Occasional coincidence no more in the Front
Frame is the portraiture in the Paint
Abstracted
i stomp into the maze of an animal-licking disaster
that is the overall impression
in the dream, desire upsets the satisfaction of a finding that
means losing someone or something or somehow for good
madness has bid us farewells for a while
publishing is recording in the dark
our sight-seeings were simulated vision synchronize
even when we were young
when we ate and shit
fear needs not attack us, amputate us and ambush us
that is why i am looking forward to the vacuum
limbo of no-time, non-space
there will be no tortures on the other side
though that is only an image of a maze
i enter your oval and the navel in the morning
a cave that shelter from the shower
the tangible flesh burs-ted into flames
possession is not important here
love is not important here
memory is not important here
trains of abstract thoughts wield themselves onto our vision
that is still abstract in the dim lights
a vision that is a curve becomes the cave
conceives the poetic emotion in motion
harbouring our ambiguous
rendevouz
the morning was grey
Moments of decaying firefly is over the other side of the
Ocean
At the aft a swift jump is a
Rendevouz means that Nothing’s non-action
Common news together with the Sea Wind blows over
Let’s be romantic! Years toils and peasants coils are buried in the Earth
Only the banal rodents screech occasionally ugly
In a perverse high, there was a longing for the Amour of Vertigo and Delusion
The artificial sun-light is saturated in the Sunset
Smearing the Floats
Then on this side of the Otherness…
Cloud rolls by
a blind leads a blind: the end of the age of innocence
 approached...
orange haze...in the distance
groan is a daze
yet the dark cloud meshes the pleasure of words
mechanically
monotonously
it is a misread dead misconception
 conceivably, boredom wrinkles
they do not snore
when you listen to the void
glaringly, you are in a trance
are we together?
 matrix array
a maze
you and me are a craze
the significance of the well in the desert of h-division
is nowhere
you turn around and see
nobody
 is it dead out there?
sublime
patterned
underneath the moan of the moon
dots of tinkles sacrifice our pleasure of inferno

Between the Red Walls the black remembrance and shade
Uphold themselves
The madness of yours and mine twirls high over the Autumn Leaves
They seem to be decadent and listless
There are diagnostics and symmetry
But sighs of Eminence
The ring bells of the Waif Waist starts to tumble and tinkle…
Poetic weirdness is stuck into the navel of a half crescent
Pollen blows wild
A cross

Numbed by your endless crimson tails
I am being tickled by your Fat bums
Flicking are you in the Flame

That’s it
The euphoria submerged into the dust storm of
Our desert.
Yet the whirlpool of those spirals regenerate our

Unbearably light and low………

Just when the cloud draws a sketch of Innocence and Indolence
In the dark of the hearts

Whiteness stabs into a concept called Love

The down-trodden and mentally disturbed youth;
Ready for a Ride into the heaven of cells of hundreds of
Years confinement with the Megalithic
Monument in the Memoria of this Lonely Planets of a
Cluster’’’
Anchored for the Karma Tantra Mundra and Yantra
It is telling something somehow in Silence
Decline and reclines of Postures are those Demons’ Dances
Spelt under the Sky we try to tell a
Story; psychic group are weary of the
Glances of those strangers
It is hard to guess –
All is too quick for a lonely gunman
The grim cloud destroy the angst-driven alcoholic
Only temporary
Transitory is the soft light mix a Fix of noisy Uneasiness
The hue is an happy face
The saturation is a skirt
Is our future a Dream?
A girl opposite to the Chord is expecting
The prelude which is the Impulse
Suddenly the Bats glide in the Night of Phantom of
Imperfections
I woke up
In fright I saw an Embroidery Silk Shoe
Please do not frown
The guilt has turned into the Water Organic
 Ripples is expanding in Virtuality
In Memoria, your facet is in love with the Distance?
Of a Poetic Decease that is
Vomiting the Sorrow of Longevity
Vomiting the Yesteryear’s Shadow
Plus the menstrual blood and filth
It is not the refusal of Hate
The forms and shapes of cloud on the edge of the Sky and You
Has vapoured a red stain in the Idea
I saw you are stripped naked streaking among the Walker and Talkers
In the marble cold Square
- as Shadows of ghosts are stalking you
- since the Law is slightly different to the Morality
Then the emotional clashes mutate into the Tumour in the Brains
    The lanterns burst in flames
Up to the starry sky;
Wasted, tasted…
The memories of us, now and then
It’s only 40.41.42 and 43 years
Smothered are your constant stares of Emptiness
Smirks and sleeps of a visionary Image of destitude Mist
Are gone with the Wind
It flies high
As we swam down the tide
As it was drizzling.
    The method of slow discovery
I did not know why before…
The only bliss
Day in and day out…
Mistresses squeal on the Industrial Debris
The Medieval Myth somewhat has wrecked itself
Into a Rubble
Crumble and tumble so far
Night in and night out
People are gossiping the Bottom Line Murder and its Compulsion…
The Doom has its end
Currently ---
We are against the Waves of Raves of indifference
We are against the meaningless freeze of Existence
We are against ---
Life is but a course of action and no-action and non-action…
They again start to brag about the Ruse of Reason and the cause-and-effect
Trains hisses and fizzes in the Metalicaland
The invisible melody is triste of Sorrow and Pieta
Standing is the Constructed Pile Driver Machine
In far and wide footling lands in the Nightmares of Drum beats of
Cacophony
Now, the Images of a dark night has set in
Cobalt moonlight chaser the Drizzles of
Universe and the Meditation of Tranquility
 I am longing for…
But It is only a course of certain kind
A Trip of hearts’ journey!
The shopping spree is stronger than the Digital Desire
People are shrieking
The pollen floats over the soil of Fences
They have a running nose
The spring’s storm is a telephone buzz vanishing in the
Voltage current of the Trams
They are vocalising
We don’t need anything
As the Cat is tasting the cans from the Supermarket
The bones downstairs connects with my Hands
There is an Entrance Door of a scene of
Resurrection
That was not a reason
Indulgence is not a justifying season
 Breathing hard…
Puffs of some cuffs
The finger-nails of Positive and Negative are reduced to
Absurdity
Only the dialectic pierce is tender
Dancing full moon is fictitious seven strings
The chord is wonderful
However, their Fear and Threats, still…
Then we are all posing a gesture of Danger
Life is sweet who would wish to die?
It is the raindrops hitting the Iceberg of the Antarctica
Smile is doubt
Sometimes they need calamity
Of being Calm
Fearless flames unite our Tenderness
The realistic tradition is no infinity
The transaction monetary is not telling a Story
It is but a course
The shrunk gum of Teeth shone the Sunny craze
In the telephone rings
Sturdy shade is short
In the Sky of Sorrow
Illustrating our Rings of Survivals
The moustache and goatees don’t intent to argue with
Emptiness and Blankness
We met in between the Paranoid’s Rant, Slap-across-the-Faces and photos
Languages stresses your Rouge’n’Noir
When my field of Hearts is being irrigated
Fallacy is a Medusa shakily drifting around and around
Our regrets are the early experiences and courses of Production
 3 Rant
 Untitled
A free-verse rant like the freckled digits of yesteryear
The vials of your jelly, across the deck of the insidious creases
Into the hearts of your ac/dc melody
The position is upset
Down the north by south-west, that is our feet direction
While we are wasted in our heads
In the sky !
The polar magnetics attract each other as if in the
Classroom of experimental in the School
Since the steam engine and electric theories were powered
Propelled and sailed Like the dark varrukers Anarchy
Without tanks, fishes and the bullets I bitten
A belt a pistol and the graveyard’s hierarchy
The skins and records
On the turn-tables spin over since the Summer of a four
Digits
Not because we are born for the Facts of Roots
Something is pretty dry
Something is moistened
Something is deep underground,
Thick dark hair expose your Hands of Azalea Red
Butterflies flutter the Sweet Life
Only the Past of Mountains hook up the Soul
You said, my stares are a bit sore
Your perfume is smelt like a font of Phantom
Your belongings is smelt  here  and  Now
I said something
You said,,
Withered sunflowers project over the Earth
Is the mad woman
In elongated limps mermaids by the Sea
Shells breathe
Is proportioned to the Flirt
Rifle points to the Vagina of the Girdle
That is a Desert Scenery
In vague.,
Woke up in the sirens of ambulance and Lullabies
The chords complete are curvaceous
Re-constructed sounds creates another 17
Discordant notes actions of Thoughts are another Praise Song
Beauty is unified and pulled
Beauty is not important here
This is the monologue of a clown
Olympic committee is holding a conference in Sydney
Utopia has a Gang of Five and its members
The extreme confession owns a Past
Today the weather is nice, very nice
The forecast does not predict that of tomorrow
The theory is grey; the pure is takes of some film shots
Please drink the running water after you wash your hands
It is difficult to find the Water in the desert
Although the running water is bleached,
We can release ourselves in the W.C. of the cinema
The discourse of the Power represent a few Buddha statues, bodisattvas and Dories
The operas have got its tune and beat; vacant and lonely
Criterion, critic plus the footnote and commentary are superb.
Colourful environment is beneficial to the Personal Hygiene
Times has changed and men and women are equal
Aunt Guo has just opened an Auto repair Shop
The technicians are busy working
I gave the Car to the boss to relax
Step forward a bit…
Many problems can not be solved straight away
Returning to the Grassland is not impossible
Equality is always centred ; central is -
Anyhow this is a simple fact.
  Until now we chatted
There is a polluted river
Talk is cheap
Words’ goal is one.
The beast in the cage tears apart the rod
For the sake of Love and Scold
Where is the Ideal and Passion?
Lets start to mention the Fear
The smashed guitar openly announces in full mouth
This is not an unreplaced melody
Her throat was slit with a steel wire.
Gimme pleasure
Vanishing faces of red and green
The lies on the Side
Drifting away from the Shore
Of my floating mortal coil
Snoozes in the copulation of Flesh and Death
Being here and now
Redenvouz in the Other Space
I touched your lips
The facial is gone in the Morning
Endless…
Another is the trouble of another
It is just a mistake
Blinking melancholy of Lips
Kissing the stairway to the Vain Hope
My wishes are dirt cheap
   With you, in the Square
Heat wobbles through your swathe of Memory
Groan, purring and growl smut the Dark
Edge that eats up the 69 poses
Waves no longer imitate the mechanic
Motions
There were no Love lotion in your
Dream
night in, night out...
day by day...
Ambient embraces
Shout us a fairy tale of Floss
The nymphs swim and slither over
my Ocean
 day in, night out...
We are together longing for the throbs of
No-space
Negation of a Non-space
Serpent's colours and shapes
Still
Mark and reveal the Images
Phenomenon, which are
Simple
Heat will be with us tonight
In your square
   A Phantom in the Creek
Ye! The Phantom  is at the arm's length
In my Spright the elf of Anna coles
Haunts the Bits and Bytes of the I.T.
A superhighway of Desires
Indolence is the 18 years old with a Top Gun
Crashed and smashed into the buffalo
Over the rocks of the Solitude
Yes! The Phantom is looming in the masquerade
With mercy, melancholy and magarain
A tongue licks fast on the Brim
The cloud of your forlorn eyes
Emotions of a 1967 erotica
Simply twists and turns
Only a U-turn recalls the Pieta, Vanitas and Las Vagas
Yeah! The Phantom is away on the window of the Desert
Our sorrow casts a shadow of Grimace
Over the Psyche, in the name of the Death, Poesy
Nights vapours the flies that
Sneak into our smell
Indolence is a sad washing machine
  no no no

our imaginations perform best feats
wicked are those sublime fairies

YOU vibrate to the beats of a solo act
my kunadili is risen to the

Gaze
I can feel your Cosmic Dance
Returned to the loop of a Resonance
Rotated to the Total Embrace of Succulence
Yieldingly
Peach-flowers have been
In bloom
In the fields of
Grace
In the steam there is a tune
A melody swishing in the mountains of Love
Pieta and Melancholy and
Your face
YOU vibrate to the feats of our Imagination
In this mortal coil
An act without audience
In silence
Heart against heart
Heavy pounding and thudding provoke the Providence
Of a taste
I can not yell that I LOVE YOU
Because you are so far away in the Gaze
I can not yell that I LOVE YOU dream-lover
Because you are so close in the Glaze
So its resonated again over again in our Cosmic
Dance of a trance
 4 Seals
Seals of our six’n’sevens are stamped onto our vulnerable skins
Love is evolving
All we need is evoling Love
Objective in a subjunctive mood
Installed is the Object Love that circulates around
Such are your poses, your stains and pains
The florescent tubes brighten and dim the horns of the
Colourful ghosts runs
Thus, the rashes of our Spectrum rant in the Concrete Boxes
Thus, the innuendo of our Love is rejected, refused and gagged
   Smouldering is our Love
…12,13,14,15…
Smoke is far away
It is destructive no more, you say
Come on
Groan and grunt were 12 years ago
Mystery was coming
Artery I felt and your veins I witnessed
Smouldering was the Past in present tense
Future is now and
Our futuristic worries smother a Thought
Mother tongue was arbitrary
So a spirit translates itself in the Court of Poetic Justice
After all it wasn’t a crime being a Smooth Co-ordinator
As we approached the Fed Square not Time Square nor the Red Square,
Fifteen degree
The funny fanny wedges away like the balloons of Orlando
So I looked back and saw a Wolf; Mum is talking again to me
Wicked laughs echoed in a Six_Dimensional Seascape
So I looked back over again
Nothing but a cat was teasing, purring and tantalizing the crowd
And the Rising Cobra
Music was mesmerising around us
They were pretty clicky
Then we tried hard to be nitty-gritty
The moon would not tell us all
Only the toad in the sugar-cane field illuminated

As my soul is cheap in Glebe morgue
Since the trumpets and trombones were blown……
Feeling are the wings clipped as the sea-gals glide across the Y river
We went up to the balcony of the lounge
Thursday Thursday nights were the darkness of silence
After the underground had the times changed in the wind
In the names of the tainted Love
Uneasiness jumps jams and jinxes at the intersection of
A path:
Our hearts of wails remorse and wrinkles of a hidden Angst
Pumped 70 times per minute
When you rode the pony
When you were young
When we showered off the aftermath of responsibilities well-beings
And crises
 It is called…
It is called…
In the vicinity of our Brittle Dreams which are scaffolding a
Framework of the futuristic noisy tantrum
It was called as
The wind, trumpets and trombones were blown…
  I screamed into the Void
and discovered the Real you
Reflected in the constant reminder of
a longing for the Future
Your Uranus curve girdles our special dimension
In the Cyberspace without your portraiture of a
Past
Concrete is the music
Yet the trip is beyond our Galaxy
Resonance is the sound without feelings
In the mist of our evening twilight
Here comes the rain again.
Here comes the rain again !
In the darkness of some aesthetic of Saxophone,
Surfaces of sensualities and shapes of Danger's
Freedom looms around
We will set free again
In the wildness of some kooky memories of Spoken words spoken,
Fog of uncertainties now and then...
Being affected has no reasons at all.
In our slumbers there once was a story
Not to be told
Your yellow smileys are coming as a grimace of
The pace of walking into the Unknown
A ghostly spectrum of mists in the early evenings
Looming in the Distance
Smile is your face of Flowers longing for the Radiance
Oh! Something is in the way
Our experimental stares are timid
 Sonnet-Elf
The dark cloud dissolve some entities of elves
As I fainted over and over on the ground
Why don't we dance to the wild beats ourselves
Because last night I went up there but never found
Your moon-lit face was sunken in the tainted mirth
As I've been waiting for a tantalizing kiss
Yet what I am left is dull and plain piss
Maybe you know too well the ecstasy of pains of birth
As a sprinkle of morning dew will cleanse off painted filth
Since the congealed blood scarlet evokes to my lost mind
- Loneliness of longings and belongs within it dwells
With elf, nymph and pixy flying low
Advertising something special and spectacular for sell
Love's shadow of lust tilts from toe to toe
Ah! the purple haze shrouds your beguiling souls!

The Angel & The Devil Ch. 2  Crushed Flowers
Tumblr media
Reflecting on the past few weeks leaves Jason feeling hopeless. He had to do something to make up for what he did. Maybe some ice-cream and flowers could be the first stepping stone to setting things right. Imma just spam the whole fic but if anyone does enjoy please don’t be afraid to send requests for Jason x reader too!! Poor Jaybird :C ----- Just as Red Hood fired the second shot, Guardian whipped one of her wings up to cover her face and knock her attacker backwards. The man recovered quickly and grabbed his second pistol, clicking the safety off and firing at her wings now covering her shocked figure.
What the fuck was going on?
"Red, what the fuck are you doing?" She hollered from behind her wings. The bullet in her leg was different to the ones he usually used. Firstly, they weren't fakes and secondly, they were painted red instead of yellow. It was making her feel woozy. Guardian had to move, staying still would give Red time to move closer and whatever was in these bullets was also weakening her wings usual durability. Carefully standing and grunting in pain, Guardian leapt forward at the man. Pinning him down by the waist and using her wings to pin his wrists.
"Red, I don't know what the fuck is going on, but you need to stop this!"
"Sorry, Angel. No can do." He responded before lifting his legs up then around Anita's body and throwing her to the floor. Red Hood then grabbed one of his guns and shot Anita in the shoulder blade, she cried in pain and flung him back with a kick. She had to get out of there. Spreading her wings, Anita propelled herself up and out of the warehouse door. Red Hood shooting at her fleeing figure and nagged a bullet in her back. Guardian flew far from the warehouse, tears streaming down her face and black dots dancing in her eyes. She pressed the gold symbol on her chest and landed hard on the roof of her apartment building about 10 clicks from the warehouse. Later, even as Batman placed her on the gurney in the Bat Cave, all Anita could think of was Jason.
Guardian's partner, Anita's lover, had shot her. The Red Hood; Jason Peter Todd, had tried to kill her.
- - - Shaking his head, Jason tried to clear his head of the fear in Anita’s eyes as he shot her in the shoulder. He was right, hydrofluoric acid tore through her healing factor and wings like a shredder with paper. But had it been worth it? Scaring his girlfriend to death just to get in Black Masks good graces? He remembered the man clapping his hand on Jason’s leathered shoulder, smiling at The Red Hood “I see you’ve made your point, Mr. Hood. Welcome to the club.” Then he had been knocked over the head and woke up half naked in a fancy bedroom. Sure, Black Mask was now a mumbling, brain-dead pile in Gotham Hospital but Jason didn’t want to even think of Anita’s condition after their short fight. “Fuck me, what have I done?” Jason mumbled as he turned the shower faucet off, stepping out and drying his body. He should’ve contacted her the moment they got out of Black Mask’s HQ; he shouldn’t have gone to Qurac right away. ‘Shoulda, coulda, woulda’ Jason thought. He’d just have to fix things, buy her some flowers, that Banana Split from Freddie’s. He’d apologize and do anything. If she didn’t throw him halfway across the state. Slipping into a pair of black jeans and grey turtleneck sweater, Jason walked out the bathroom. Bizarro had surprisingly gotten past the tutorial and was now asking the merchant for his wares. “Why can’t me buy?” Bizarro asked as Jason slipped on a leather jacket then grabbed his motorbike keys and phone. “You need to do some quests, big guy. Head to the black robed guy on your left, he’ll get you started.” “Thank Red Him.” “You’re welcome. Artemis, I’m going out!” Artemis emerged from her room then, hair no longer in its ponytail and trailing after her tall figure. She too, had slipped into some comfy clothes. Wait, were they his? “That’s fine, I will most likely depart later and buy some clothing for myself. I’ll take Bizarro with me.” She stated as she joined Bizarro on the couch. “Cool, there’s a credit card taped under the microwave.” “Good luck with your Angel.” Jason was stunned into silence then, but quickly recovered with a weak laugh and a nod. “Thanks, I’ll need it.” Oh boy was that an understatement. - - - It was a 10-minute drive to Scoops & Hoops, the traffic had been less than usual, and Jason couldn’t help but thank the traffic Gods for this opening. The small bell above the gelateria’s door tinkled as the tall man walked in. He smiled at the owner, Freddie, who greeted him with a toothy, albeit cavity filled, grin. “Jason!” He sung and a few of the female workers there perked their heads up to greet him with soft giggles. “Hi, Freddie. You still got your famous Banana Split for me?” Jason asked, leaning against the pastel coloured counter. The older man nodded enthusiastically, “Getting one for that lovely girl of yours?” He said just loud enough for the giggling girls to hear, their heads dipping back to their tubs of ice cream in shame. Jason winced slightly, he wasn’t quite sure if Anita wanted to be his anymore, but he had to try. “Of course, I lost a bet and I owe her one. Do you think you could write a little message too?” Freddie lifted his head up, an eyebrow arched high on his glistening forehead. “Oh no. Did you two have a fight?” Jason’s eyes widened in shock, was it that obvious? “Uh, how didja tell?” The other man laughed at Jason’s bewildered expression, almost as though he had asked him a stupid question. “Jason, son. As a man whose dealt with a woman’s scorn let me tell you it leaves a mark you can’t miss. Especially one like your Anita. I’m amazed you’re in one piece.” Jason huffed out a laugh then, he was pretty amazed too. “How did you make them stop scorning at you?” “Well, there’s no one way, son. It depends what happened and on the person. You two have been together for what, almost a year? It hurts much more when your partner does something stupid 6 years into a relationship than 2 months. But a lot of the time. You must be patient but not passive.” “Like, let her know I’m there for her?” “Exactly! Think about a time you’ve been furious at someone. How long did it take you to come around?” Bruce. Jason instantly thought of Bruce and grimaced. “A while.” “Well, we’ll just have to hope Anita’s nothing like you in that regard. Now, what didja want me to write on this your banana?” Jason couldn’t help but feel sick at the thought of Anita never forgiving him. He was so screwed. “Maybe, ‘I love you’?” - - - 8 hours later, Red Hood stood on top of Gotham Courthouse with a medium tub of Freddie’s famous Banana Split in his right hand and a bunch of flowers in his left. If any criminal were to spot him now, his reputation as the bad one out of the Bat Bunch would be tarnished. But reputation was the last thing on Red’s mind. He had contacted Guardian a few hours prior, asking them to meet and hopefully hash things out. She was 13 minutes late and he was sure the ice cream was melting. He knew he should’ve bought dry ice. The sky was full of clouds; it’d be a quiet patrol tonight for the rest of the family. Red just hoped she’d come. Just as Red was about to give up, there was a shadow landing on his helmet, looking up he couldn’t help but smile under his helmet. There Guardian floated, the moonlight giving her a soft glow and halo. “Beautiful.” He mumbled as she gracefully landed on the roof. Her wings ruffled slightly, and she ran a hand through her auburn hair, green eyes surveying the area before facing him. “What is all this?” She asked, motioning to Red Hood’s full hands. The man snapped out of his daze and began rambling. “Well I got you that Banana Split I owe you and some flowers. The ones in our kitchen were dying and I know how much you love them. The chrysanthemums mean loyalty, the Jasmine is beauty, lilies stand for humility and the roses…well. They mean I love you.” Guardian walked up and took the bouquet from Red Hood’s grasp, taking off her mask she breathed in their scent and smiled softly. She seemed lost in them and Jason thought briefly that he had rectified his mistake. Taking a step closer he nudged her with the tub. “If you want, we can take this back and eat it together?” Anita jumped back, as though lightning had struck her. The smile was gone, and a frown sat on her features instead. “Together? Like partners?” “Like lovers.” Jason clarified, taking off his helmet with his free hand. Anita scoffed, plucking a petal from a rose, “I must’ve missed the part in the relationship handbook where you put your own fucking girlfriend into critical condition.” “You-It was that bad?” Jason knees felt weak, no she couldn’t be serious. He didn’t even lace them with a lot of acid. "You really didn't think shooting me with my weakness, which by the way I didn't even know existed, wouldn't hurt me? Look at this, Jason. Look." Lifting her white Kevlar top Jason could see where the acid had left long, deep scars on her upper shoulder and lower back, his mouthed dropped open. “Yeah, that was my expression too when I saw them. Alfred told me if I’d have arrived any later to the Bat Cave that I could’ve lost all feeling in my kneecap.” “I-I swear Angel, I didn’t think-“ “Exactly, you didn’t think about the consequences. Instead you went ahead and almost killed me!” Anita’s wings spread wide, the moonlight making them seem bigger than they really were. She was trying to intimidate him. “I would never do that. I wouldn’t of if I knew…” “Then why? Why did you lie!?” “To protect you.” “Protect me!? Jason, you shot me! Shot me! Just so you could get in bed with Black Mask and make a new fucking team without me.” The flowers in Anita’s hand were becoming crumpled from how tight she was holding them, her body had never felt so hot, mind so frazzled. “That’s not- “Jason could feel her slipping from him, but damnit she wouldn’t let him get a word in. “I saw you land in Gotham today, Jay. You looked pretty happy with the Superman clone and Amazon. Glad it was so easy to replace me. But you wanna know what hurt more than being shot, replaced and lied to? The fact that you confided your crazy plan to the man you had trust issues with for YEARS, but not to your own girlfriend.” “Angel-“ “How many times have I rushed to your aid in meetings? How many times have I patched you up way before I put on this suit? How much have we gone through together for you to doubt my ability to be a hero? I can’t help but wonder if you even love me if it was so easy to turn me into a scapegoat.”
"Of course, I love you! Please, Anita, please just listen." God Jason had never felt so terrible, his ears were ringing, and he wanted so desperately to hold her.
Tears were spilling down both their faces and Anita’s booming voice was now soft and weak with her final question; "Then why didn’t we fight him together, Jay?" Jason didn’t know what to say, nothing he said would be right. But it wasn’t about being right, it was about the truth. Anita was right: Jason had underestimated her; he had hurt her. Unsatisfied with his sudden quietness, Anita shoved the flowers back at Jason who caught them expertly. "I can’t forgive you, Jay. You broke my heart… Here, I won't be needing this." Reaching into her utility belt, Guardian handed Red Hood the binoculars he gifted her after her first mission. It was his way of saying they were partners, The Angel & The Devil.
Jason could feel his throat tightening, he had to fix this. But his voice came out as a whimper, "Anita, please. Let's just talk this out." "No, Jason. I think we're done talking. Give those to your Amazon friend, you seem to trust her more than me." Then Guardian slipped back on her mask and flew off into the night, leaving Jason heartbroken with melting ice cream and crushed flowers.

He does not know how to hide his tracks, And duckweed’s opened up along his path. – Bai Juyi • A man ought to live in this world like a lotus leaf, which grows in water but is never moistened by water; so a man ought to live in the world – his heart to God and his hands to work. – Swami Vivekananda • An intense copper calm, like a universal yellow lotus, was more and more unfolding its noiseless measureless leaves upon the sea. – Herman Melville • And her sweet red lips on these lips of mine Burned like the ruby fire set In the swinging lamp of a crimson shrine, Or the bleeding wounds of the pomegranate, Or the heart of the lotus drenched and wet With the spilt-out blood of the rose-red wine. – Oscar Wilde • And just for a moment I had reached the point of ecstasy that I always wanted to reach, which was the complete step across chronological time into timeless shadows, and wonderment in the bleakness of the mortal realm, and the sensation of death kicking at my heels to move on, wiht a phantom dogging its own heels, and myself hurrying to a plank where all the angels dove off and flew into the holy void of uncreated emptiness, the potent and inconceivable radiancies shining in bright Mind Essence, innumerable lotus-lands falling open in the magic mothswarm of heaven. – Sal Paradise – Jack Kerouac • As a lotus flower is born in water, grows in water and rises out of water to stand above it unsoiled, so I, born in the world, raised in the world having overcome the world, live unsoiled by the world – Gautama Buddha • As a water bead on a lotus leaf, as water on a red lily, does not adhere, so the sage does not adhere to the seen, the heard, or the sensed. – Gautama Buddha • At this moment, is there anything lacking? Let the beauty of your heart speak. – Amit Ray • Because people learn from their mistakes, Danger. Pain and failure are a natural part of life. They have to stumble before they can run. (Alexion) Do you really believe that we need to have our hearts ripped out? (Danger) A flower can’t grow without rain. (Alexion) Too much rain and it drowns. (Danger) And yet the most beautiful of the lotus flowers are the ones that grow in the deepest mud. The heart lotus flower blooms forth and eternal peace is obtained, as one’s light merges into the Supreme Light. – Guru Amar Das • Did either the nonexistent or the measured response after a series of attacks on Americans the past decade – in Lebanon, Africa, Saudi Arabia, New York, and Yemen – suggest to our terrorist enemies that it was wrong and unwise to kill reasonable and affable people, or did the easy killing imply that self-absorbed and pampered Lotus-eaters would not much care who or how many were butchered as long as it was within reasonable numbers and spread out over time? – Victor Davis Hanson • Do my eyes deceive me, or is Senna’s Lotus sounding rough? – Murray Walker • Do not go to the garden of flowers! O friend! go not there; In your body is the garden of flowers. Take your seat on the thousand petals of the lotus, and there gaze on the infinite beauty. – Kabir • Drop guilt! – because to be guilty is to live in hell. Not being guilty, you will have the freshness of dewdrops in the early morning sun, you will have the freshness of lotus petals in the lake, you will have the freshness of the stars in the night. Once guilt disappears you will have a totally different kind of life, luminous and radiant. You will have a dance to your feet and your heart will be singing a thousand and one songs. – Rajneesh • Drop jealousy and love wells up. Jealousy means that I am the owner. It is an ego trip, and wherever there is ego there is poison, and the poison kills the very source of love. One has to become aware of just these few things and discard them and one’s life becomes a lotus of love. And then there is no need to go in any search of god, god will come in search of you. This is my observation, that god always comes seeking the true seeker. Whenever the disciple is ready the master appears. – Rajneesh • Egypt loved the lotus because it never dies. It is the same for people who are loved. – Anita Diament • Egypt loved the lotus becuase it never dies. It is the same for people who are loved. Thus can something as insignificant as a name-two syllables, one high, one sweet- summon up the innumerable smiles, tears, sighs and dreams of a human life. – Anita Diament • English Bohemianism is a curiously unluscious fruit. … Inside this hothouse, huge lascivious orchids slide sensuously up the sweating windows, passion-flowers cross-pollinate in wild heliotrope abandon, lotuses writhe with poppies in the sweet warm beds, kumquats ripen, open and plop flatly to the floor-and outside, in a neat, trimly-hoed kitchen-garden, English bohemians sit in cold orderly rows, like carrots. – Alan Coren • Even amidst fierce flames the golden lotus can be planted. – Sylvia Plath • Every green herb, from the lotus to the darnel, is rich with delicate aids to help incurious man. – Martin Farquhar Tupper • God cannot be found outside you, because there is no God who can ever be outside you. God is the ultimate fragrance of your consciousness. When your consciousness opens like a lotus, the fragrance that is released is God – better to call it godliness. – Rajneesh • God is the Sun and when His rays fall upon your heart, not impeded by the clouds of egoism, the lotus blooms and the petals unfold. – Sathya Sai Baba • Great people will always be mocked by those who feel smaller than them. However, a lion does not flinch at laughter coming from a hyena. A gorilla does not budge from a banana thrown at it by a monkey. A nightingale does not stop singing its beautiful song at the intrusion of an annoying woodpecker. Whenever you should question your self-worth, remember the lotus flower. Even though it plunges to life from beneath the mud, it does not allow the dirt that surrounds it to affect its growth or beauty. – Suzy Kassem • Heat lingers As days are still long; Early mornings are cool While autumn is still young. Dew on the lotus Scatters pure perfume; Wind on the bamboos Gives off a gentle tinkling. I am idle and lonely, Lying down all day, Sick and decayed; No one asks for me; Thin dusk before my gates, Cassia blossoms inch deep. – Bai Juyi • I also have a lot of preserved foods, things that will keep for a long time like dried fish, seaweed or lotus seed. – Martin Yan • I embrace my body, and I embrace everything about myself. Coming full circle is a celebration of freedom and happiness because that’s what [my new album] ‘Lotus’ is representing. I’m embracing everything that I’ve grown to be and learned to be. – Christina Aguilera • I got things like the lotus position long before anybody else did, or at least in the mainstream. But I had fun. I guess my legs are pretty flexible, so I used to get a kick out of doing things like that. I would get into a full lotus with my legs and then roll around. – John Astin • I have a strong antipathy to everything connected with gardens, gardening and gardeners. . . . Gardening seems to me a kind of admission of defeat. . . . Man was made for better things than pruning his rose trees. The state of mind of the confirmed gardener seems to me as reprehensible as that of the confirmed alcoholic. Both have capitulated to the world. Both have become lotus eaters and drifters. – Colin Wilson • I saw Lotus F1 racing as the best choice for me to progress my career, after considering several other options that were available to me. – Heikki Kovalainen • I sit cross-legged on the rock The valleys and streams are cold and damp Sitting quietly is beautiful The cliffs are lost in mist and fog I rest happily in this place At dusk the tree shadows are low I look into my mind A white lotus emerges from the dark mud – Hanshan • I think it’s more, at least at the time, a sense of abstraction. My mind doesn’t really work in a way where there’s a definitive sense of something. I go one way and then it opens up into a million different ideas, and somehow, when you look at the art, Buddhist art, or particularly Tibetan art, you know, it’s a similar thing. All of a sudden there are a million lotus leaves and you’re following one to the next and to another, and I related to that, and it felt simple and easy to me. And it made me feel smart. – Jake Gyllenhaal • I want you to learn the lesson of the lotus. This flower springs forth from muddy waters. It raises its delicate petals to the sun and perfumes the world while, at the same time, its roots cling to the elemental muck, the very essence of the mortal experience. Without that soil, the flower would wither and die. – Colleen Houck • I was in yoga the other day. I was in full lotus position. My chakras were all aligned. My mind is cleared of all clatter and I’m looking out of my third eye and everything that I’m supposed to be doing. It’s amazing what comes up, when you sit in that silence. “Mama keeps whites bright like the sunlight, Mama’s got the magic of Clorox 2.” – Ellen DeGeneres • I will allow only my Lord to possess my sacred lotus pond, and every night you can make blossom in me flowers of fire. – Huang E • If the bees which seek the liquid oozing from the head of a lust-intoxicated elephant are driven away by the flapping of his ears, then the elephant has lost only the ornament of his head. The bees are quite happy in the lotus filled lake. – Chanakya • If we take shelter of the lotus feet of the spiritual master, we can become free from illusion, fear and distress. If we wholeheartedly beg for his mercy without any deceit then the spiritual master bestows all auspiciousness upon us. – Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati • If you come to Plum Village in the summertime, you see many lotus flowers. Without the mud the lotus flowers cannot grow. You cannot separate lotus flowers from the mud. It is the same with understanding and love. These are two kinds of flowers that grow on the ground of suffering – Nhat Hanh • If you feel lost, disappointed, hesitant, or weak, return to yourself, to who you are, here and now and when you get there, you will discover yourself, like a lotus flower in full bloom, even in a muddy pond, beautiful – and strong. • If you sleep, Desire grows in you Like a vine in the forest. Like a monkey in the forest You jump from tree to tree, Never finding the fruit – From life to life, Never finding peace. If you are filled with desire Your sorrows swell Like the grass after the rain. But if you subdue desire Your sorrows shall fall from you Like drops of water from a lotus flower. – Gautama Buddha • I’m always very interested in breeding. Raising cacti is breeding. My lotus plant collection is breeding. The insects are breeding. – Takashi Murakami • I’m delighted to be coming back to Formula 1 after a two-year break, and I’m grateful to Lotus Renault GP for offering me this opportunity. – Kimi Raikkonen • I’m influenced by the music of the ’60s. It’s a mishmash of everything. To me, psychedelic can be all the way to a DJ. House music can be very psychedelic. ‘Flying Lotus’ is very psychedelic. Even though it’s urban and technological, it’s also mind-expanding, anything-can-go mishmash. – Anton Newcombe • In 1879 the Bengali scholar S.M. Tagore compiled a more extensive list of ruby colors from the Purana sacred texts: ‘like the China rose, like blood, like the seeds of the pomegranate, like red lead, like the red lotus, like saffron, like the resin of certain trees, like the eyes of the Greek partridge or the Indian crane…and like the interior of the half-blown water lily.’ With so many gorgeous descriptive possibilities it is curious that in English the two ancient names for rubies have come to sound incredibly ugly. – Victoria Finlay • In Egypt, I loved the perfume of the lotus. A flower would bloom in the pool at dawn, filling the entire garden with a blue musk so powerful it seemed that even the fish and ducks would swoon. By night, the flower might wither but the perfume lasted. Fainter and fainter, but never quite gone. Even many days later, the lotus remained in the garden. Months would pass and a bee would alight near the spot where the lotus had blossomed, and its essence was released again, momentary but undeniable. – Anita Diament • In Savasana or in meditation, the light of the eyes is drawn towards the lotus of the heart, so that the seat of the intelligence of the head is brought into contact with the seat of the intelligence of the heart, which is called the mind. Thus one passes from the individualistic state of consciousness to the universal state of consciousness. It is the merging of the intellect of the brain with the intellect of the soul. – B.K.S. Iyengar • In the land of the lotus-eaters there is no action. Action arises only from need, from dissatisfaction. It is purposeful striving towards something. Its ultimate end is always to get rid of a condition which is conceived to be deficient-to fulfill a need, to achieve satisfaction, to increase happiness. – Ludwig von Mises • In the Lotus Sutra, Buddha says to light up one corner – not the whole world. Just make it clear where you are. – Shunryu Suzuki • In the Lotus Sutra, it is said everything is emptiness – this world is empty, hell is empty, heaven is empty, God is empty, everything is emptiness. Emptiness is the nature of all things, nothingness, so be attuned to nothingness and you will achieve. – Rajneesh • It does not matter if you are a rose or a lotus or a marigold. What matters is that you are flowering. – Rajneesh • It is the north wind that lashes men into Vikings; it is the soft, luscious south wind which lulls them to lotus dreams. – Ouida • It is the plight of man. And while the blame lies partly on the river ” Lotus gestures towards the dark waters before us “most of the blame lies on man’s inclination to tune into the noise that blares all around him instead of the beautiful silence that lies deep within. – Alyson Noel • It was an easy choice to return with Lotus Renault GP as I have been impressed by the scope of the team’s ambition. – Kimi Raikkonen • It’s a mining town in lotus land. – F. Scott Fitzgerald • It’s like growing lotus flowers. You cannot grow lotus flowers on marble. You have to grow them on the mud. Without mud you cannot have lotus flowers. Without suffering, you have no way to learn how to be understanding and compassionate. – Nhat Hanh • Just think, Vishnu sleeps in the cosmic ocean, and the lotus of the universe grows from his navel. On the lotus sits Brahma, the creator. Brahma opens his eyes, and a world comes into being, governed by an Indra. Brahma closes his eyes, and a world goes out of being. The life of a Brahma is 432,000 years. When he dies, the lotus goes back, and another lotus is formed, and another Brahma. Then think of the galaxies beyond galaxies in infinite space, each a lotus, with a Brahma sitting on it, opening his eyes, closing his eyes. – Joseph Campbell • Life is like a rain drop on a lotus leaf. Everybody realises that you’re either very lucky person or you’re not. – George Harrison • Like the lotus flower that is born out of mud, we must honor the darkest parts of ourselves and the most painful of our life’s experiences, because they are what allow us to birth our most beautiful self. – Debbie Ford • Like the lotus which thrives in mud, the potential for realization grows in the rich soil of everyday life – Dalai Lama • Lotus-land as it appears in ‘Free Will’ is simply a metaphor for an idealized background, a ‘land of milk and honey.’ It is sometimes also used as a pejorative name for Los Angeles, though that was not in my mind when I wrote it. – Neil Peart • Love is born in sexuality but sexuality is not love. The lotus is born in the mud, but the lotus is not just mud. And if mud remains mud of course there are bound to be tears on the cheeks. – Rajneesh • Love is the lotus, lust is the mud the lotus arises out of. – Rajneesh • May the honey-sweet flute music that flows from Lord Mukunda’s lotus mouth fill me with bliss. – Rupa Goswami • May we live like the lotus, at home in muddy water. – Gautama Buddha • Meditation is your awakening. The moment you awake, sleep disappears and with it all the dreams, all the projections, all expectations, all desires. Suddenly you are in a state of desirelessness, non-ambition, unfathomable silence. And only in this silence, blossoms flower in your being. Only in this silence the lotuses open their petals. – Rajneesh • Microsoft has had two goals in the last 10 years. One was to copy the Mac, and the other was to copy Lotus’ success in the spreadsheet – basically, the applications business. And over the course of the last 10 years, Microsoft accomplished both of those goals. And now they are completely lost. – Steve Jobs • My mother always said I must be part Mongolian because of my lotus-pale complexion and squid-ink black hair. – Diane Ackerman • My sole literary ambition is to write one good novel, then retire to my hut in the desert, assume the lotus position, compose my mind and senses, and sink into meditation, contemplating my novel. – Edward Abbey • Nay, do not grieve tho’ life be full of sadness, Dawn will not veil her spleandor for your grief, Nor spring deny their bright, appointed beauty To lotus blossom and ashoka leaf.
Nay, do not pine, tho’ life be dark with trouble, Time will not pause or tarry on his way; To-day that seems so long, so strange, so bitter, Will soon be some forgotten yesterday.
Nay, do not weep; new hopes, new dreams, new faces, The unspent joy of all the unborn years, Will prove your heart a traitor to its sorrow, And make your eyes unfaithful to their tears. – Sarojini Naidu • Number theorists are like lotus-eaters — having once tasted of this food they can never give it up. – Leopold Kronecker • O! Lover, Enjoyment on the soft body of a lotus is always risky and inconsistent because its route is always surrounded by thorns. – Manmohan Acharya • On the top of the head is a Chakra – Sahasradala or the thousand-petalled lotus. There is a Chakra in the middle of the forehead between the eyebrows and one in the heart-centre. The region between the navel and head constitutes the mental field. From navel downward extending till the terminus of the spinal chord, mūlādhāra, is the seat of the vital. – Sri Aurobindo • One thing is certain: you can never become anything other than yourself, and unless you become yourself you cannot be happy. Happiness happens only when a rosebush grows roseflowers; when it flowers, when it has its own individuality. You may be a rosebush and trying to flower as lotus flower – that is creating insanity. Erase the mind. And the way to erase it is not by fight: the way to erase it is just to become aware. – Rajneesh • Only the other day I was inquiring of an entire bed of old-fashioned roses, forced to listen to my ramblings on the meaning of the universe as I sat cross-legged in the lotus position in front of them. • Our first duty is to satisfy the spiritual master, who can arrange for the Lord’s mercy. A common man must first begin to serve the spiritual master or the devotee. Then, through the mercy of the devotee, the Lord will be satisfied. Unless one receives the dust of a devotee’s lotus feet on one’s head, there is no possibility of advancement. Unless one approaches a pure devotee, he cannot understand the Supreme Personality of Godhead. – A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada • Over the eons I’ve been a fan of, and sucker for, each latest automated system to ‘simplify’ and ‘bring order to’ my life. Very early on this led me to the beautiful-and-doomed Lotus Agenda for my DOS computers, and Actioneer for the early Palm. – James Fallows • Remember Mother Earth knows who these people are that are going to become the one heart. Really the better way to say it is one lotus. This place in the heart has always been referred to as the lotus. And when you find your way there, Mother Earth will completely take care of you and protect you and provide everything for you. Even though everything outside seems to be insane, it will be miraculous. – Drunvalo Melchizedek • Sandalwood, tagara, lotus, jasmine – the fragrance of virtue is unrivalled by such kinds of perfume. – Gautama Buddha • Say not, ‘I have found the truth,’ but rather, ‘I have found a truth.’ Say not, ‘ I have found the path of the soul.’ Say rather, ‘I have met the soul walking upon my path.’ For the soul walks upon all paths. The soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed. The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals. – Khalil Gibran • So as you are, in whatever conditions you are, in whatever situations you are, whatever may be the surroundings, like a dirty mire full of creatures and filth, you can become like lotuses. When you become like lotuses, all that is filth, all that is horrible can become fragrant. And this is what we have to achieve. – Nirmala Srivastava • The #lotus comes from the #murkiest #water.. but #grows into the #purest thing.- Nita Ambani • The banyan tree does not mean awakening, nor does the hill, nor the saint, nor the European couple. The lotus is a symbol of regeneration. – Swami Vivekananda • The Bible represents a fundamental guidepost for millions of people on the planet, in much the same way the Koran, Torah, and Pali Canon offer guidance to people of other religions. If you and I could dig up documentation that contradicted the holy stories of Islamic belief, Judaic belief, Buddhist belief, pagan belief, should we do that? Should we wave a flag and tell the Buddhists that the Buddha did not come from a lotus blossom? Or that Jesus was not born of a literal virgin birth? Those who truly understand their faiths understand the stories are metaphorical. – Dan Brown • The crown chakra is located several inches above the head, but it is not connected. The crown chakra, also known as the thousand-petal lotus of light, references the planes of light, of enlightenment. – Frederick Lenz • The honey in the flower or lotus does not crave for bees; they do not plead with the bees to come. Since they have tasted the sweetness, they themselves search for the flowers and rush in. They come because of the attachment between themselves and sweetness. So, too, is the relationship between the woman who knows the limits and the respect she evokes. – Sathya Sai Baba • The lotus flower is troubled At the sun’s resplendent light; With sunken head and sadly She dreamily waits for the night. – Heinrich Heine • The lotus grows in muddy waters but this flower does not show any trace of it: So we have to live in the world. – B.K.S. Iyengar • The lotus’ stem is as long as the depth of water, So men’s height is just as great as their inner strength. – Thiruvalluvar • The one who wanders independent in the world, free from opinions and viewpoints, does not grasp them and enter into disputations and arguments. As the lotus rises on its stalk unsoiled by the mud and the water, so the wise one speaks of peace and is unstained by the opinions of the world. – Gautama Buddha • The seated lotus postures are an amazing way to go into meditation, or simply just to take a moment to ground oneself. – Christy Turlington • The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals. – Khalil Gibran • The thousand petal lotus of light, the crown center, really does not become operative until one is on the verge of enlightenment itself. Then you really don’t have to meditate on it. The thousand petals gradually light up. – Frederick Lenz • The truth is that there are no good men, or bad men,’ he said. ‘It is the deeds that have goodness or badness in them. There are good deeds, and bad deeds. Men are just men – it is what they do, or refuse to do, that links them to good and evil. The truth is that an instant of real love, in the heart of anyone – the noblest man alive or the most wicked – has the whole purpose and process and meaning of life within the lotus-folds of its passion. The truth is that we are all, every one of us, every atom, every galaxy, and every particle of matter in the universe, moving toward God. – Gregory David Roberts • The ultimate source of energy, the sun is ready to set. The leaves of the blooming lotus flower in the pond are losing their lustre. A bumblebee, sitting on that lotus is enjoying the romantic pleasure and murmuring passionate songs. – Manmohan Acharya • Their love as a dragonfly, skimming over echo park, stoppin to visit the lotus. Eating dreams and drinking blue sky. – Janet Fitch • There are still some terrible cliches in the presentation of Indian fiction. The lotus flower. The hennaed hands. In mainland Europe, people still slap these images on my books and I go bananas. – Hari Kunzru • There is a beautiful expression of this in the Chandogya Upanishad: ‘There is this City of Brahman, (that is the body), and in this city there is a shrine, and in that shrine there is a small lotus, and in that lotus there is a small space, (akasa). Now what exists within that small space, that is to be sought, that is to be understood.’ This is the great discovery of the Upanishads, this inner shrine, this guha, or cave of the heart, where the inner meaning of life, of all human existence, is to be found. – Bede Griffiths • There is the mud, and there is the lotus that grows out of the mud. We need the mud in order to make the lotus. – Nhat Hanh • There’s a kind of training, when you are sitting in a session in the Japanese tradition or any of the Buddhist traditions, taking your lotus posture or whatever it is. That’s what you’re doing. – Anne Waldman • There’s just so much stuff that sounds like Flying Lotus now – I really like what he does, but I don’t want to be like him. The new stuff is more experimental. – Gold Panda • To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself. When you are born a lotus flower, be a beautiful lotus flower, don’t try to be a magnolia flower. If you crave acceptance and recognition and try to change yourself to fit what other people want you to be, you will suffer all your life. True happiness and true power lie in understanding yourself, accepting yourself, having confidence in yourself. -Nhat Hanh • To the sky, I rise / Spread my wings, and fly / I leave the past behind / And say goodbye to the scared child inside / I sing for freedom, and for love / I look at my reflection / Embrace the woman I’ve become / The unbreakable lotus in me / I now set free – Christina Aguilera • Water surrounds the lotus flower, but does not wet its petals. – Gautama Buddha • Waterlilies always come in Buddhist sculpture. The Buddhas all stand on lotus pedestals, because the lotus is grown from the mud. The mud represents the stained world, a dirty world, but growing from the dirt is such a beautiful, pure thing. This is the way the spirit should be. – Hiroshi Sugimoto • When I go from hence, let this be my parting word, that what I have seen is unsurpassable. I have tasted of the hidden honey of this lotus that expands on the ocean of light, and thus I am blessed—let this be my parting word. In this playhouse of infinite forms I have had my play and here have I caught sight of him who is formless. My whole body and my limbs have thrilled with his touch who is beyond touch; and if the end comes here, let it come—let this be my parting word. – Rabindranath Tagore • When I notice a rear wheel overtaking me, I know I’m sitting in a Lotus. – Graham Hill • When one, abandoning greed, feels no greed for what would merit greed, greed gets shed from him – like a drop of water from a lotus leaf. – Gautama Buddha • When we speak of the dust of the lotus feet of the Spiritual Master, we are speaking of humble approach to serve his instructions. Unless we humbly serve the instructions of the great soul, it is Krishna’s arrangement the He never reveals Himself. – Radhanath Swami • When you sit in the full lotus position, your left foot is on your right thigh and your right foot is on your left thigh. When we cross our legs like this, even though we have a right leg and a left leg, they become one. The position expresses the oneness of duality: not two and not one. This is the most important teaching: not two, and not one. Our body and mind are not two and not one. If you think your body and mind are two, that is wrong; if you think that they are one, that is also wrong. Our body and mind are both two and one. – Shunryu Suzuki • Whenever you should doubt your self-worth, remember the lotus flower. Even though it plunges to life from beneath the mud, it does not allow the dirt that surrounds it to affect its growth or beauty. – Suzy Kassem • Worship of The Lotus Feet of The Spiritual Master: There is no work as auspicious as serving the spiritual master. Of all worship, the worship of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the greatest but the worship of the lotus feet of the spiritual master is even greater than the worship of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Unless this is firmly realized we cannot understand what saintly association means, we cannot understand what the shelter of a spiritual master means, we cannot understand that we are dependent and he is our maintainer. – Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati • YOU are the big drop of dew under the lotus leaf, I am the smaller one on its upper side,’ said the dewdrop to the lake. – Rabindranath Tagore • You can purify your existence by feeling deep within yourself a beautiful rose or lotus, or any other flower that you like. A flower is all purity. Try to identify yourself with the consciousness of the flower or with the purity of the flower. Today it is imagination, but if you continue imagining for five days, or ten days, or a month or two, then you are bound to see and feel the flower within you. First you may feel it, then you are bound to see the existence of the flower, and then automatically the fragrance and the purity of the flower will enter into you to purify you. – Sri Chinmoy • You can remain in the world for any number of years, but don’t let the world take hold. Don’t let the world take hold of the inside world. There is the example of the lotus. It stays deep down in the mud. It comes up to the light, and it can’t stay without water because it would die. But it does not get mixed up either with the mud or the water. You have seen the lotus; even if the water comes it just goes off again. Now, when they talk of God, they always say ‘the lotus eyes, the lotus feet’ because of this inner significance. – Sathya Sai Baba • You have to measure your success by the way your audience responds to your games. No matter how small that audience is, it’s yours. Your game is part of the lives and the memories of those people in a way that WordPerfect or Lotus 1-2-3 or Windows can never be. – Orson Scott Card • You like being vague, don’t you? (Amanda) It was a choice of being a Dark-Hunter or a prophet. Personally I like the slash-and-kill stuff much more than prayers and the lotus position. (Acheron) – Sherrilyn Kenyon • You must be a lotus, unfolding its petals when the sun rises in the sky, unaffected by the slush where it is born or even the water which sustains it! – Sai Baba • YOUR HEART IS FULL of fertile seeds, waiting to sprout. Just as a lotus flower springs from the mire to bloom splendidly, the interaction of the cosmic breath causes the flower of the spirit to bloom and bear fruit in this world. – Morihei Ueshiba

• A flower can’t grow without rain. (Alexion) Too much rain and it drowns. (Danger) And yet the most beautiful of the lotus flowers are the ones that grow in the deepest mud. (Alexion) – Sherrilyn Kenyon • A little child paddles a little boat, Drifting about, and picking white lotuses. Nirvana is right here now before our eyes. This place is the lotus land. This body now is the Buddha. – Hakuin Ekaku
jQuery(document).ready(function($) var data = action: 'polyxgo_products_search', type: 'Product', keywords: 'Lotus', orderby: 'rand', order: 'DESC', template: '1', limit: '68', columns: '4', viewall:'Shop All', ; jQuery.post(spyr_params.ajaxurl,data, function(response) var obj = jQuery.parseJSON(response); jQuery('#thelovesof_lotus').html(obj); jQuery('#thelovesof_lotus img.swiper-lazy:not(.swiper-lazy-loaded)' ).each(function () var img = jQuery(this); img.attr("src",img.data('src')); img.addClass( 'swiper-lazy-loaded' ); img.removeAttr('data-src'); ); ); ); • Be like a lotus. Let the beauty of your heart speak. – Amit Ray • Because people learn from their mistakes, Danger. Pain and failure are a natural part of life. It’s kind of like a parent who watches their child fall down while learning to walk. Instead of coddling the child, you set them back on their feet and let them try again. (Alexion) – Sherrilyn Kenyon • But when one masters this wretched desire, which is so hard to overcome, then one’s sorrows just drop off, like a drop of water off a lotus. – Gautama Buddha • By means of microscopic observation and astronomical projection the lotus flower can become the foundation for an entire theory of the universe and an agent whereby we may perceive Truth. – Yukio Mishima • Cut brambles long enough, Sprout after sprout, And the lotus will bloom Of its own accord: Already waiting in the clearing, The single image of light. The day you see this, That day you will become it. – Sun Bu’er • Cut out the love of self, like an autumn lotus with thy hand! – Gautama Buddha • Deep within the self is the Light of God. It radiates throughout the expanse of His creation. Through the Guru’s teachings, the darkness of spiritual ignorance is dispelled.
