10: Any ancient legends your muse is very familiar with people from another region wouldn't know/understand?

'Ancient' pokemon world headcanon questions || Accepting

     The most obvious one would be the legend about Xerneas and Yveltal during the war. Make no mistake— prior to the events in Geosenge Town, the names of both legendaries, along with their descriptions and stories, save for resembling an 'X' or 'Y', were practically lost to time. Serena only became aware of them first through the conversation she, Lysandre and Sycamore had, and then through the man whose family passed down tales of the war three thousand years prior. Even so, he firmly believed they were simply fables made up by people at the time to have some glimmer of hope in the aftermath of such devastation.

     While the beliefs Serena follows attributes Shaymin to being the creation of a being representing life, that figure was also never given proper description in myths, and only ever referred to using titles— Life Giver, Giver of Life, and others in a similar vein. After Team Flare is defeated is when Serena connects the dots between Lysandre and the man's stories, AZ's recount, what she has seen, and the myths she was raised on. And as far as the public goes, all that has been said is a toned down what the man in Anistar City told her to help them understand the gravity of the situation. Nothing more, nothing less.

     In a very close second place are the legends surrounding Shaymin and Floaroma Town/Meadow. More specifically, tales about the Shaymin being able to create portals to the Distortion World using the seeds that they grow, and the existence of the Flower Paradise. The first is more a case of a unanimous decision made thousands of years ago to hide that information from people who might seek to exploit that power. The second is to protect both the Shaymin and an area that has long been of great importance to the Floaro branch of the Celestica— hence the stone hiding the Seabreak Path that can only be temporarily deactivated by someone of Celestican descent (or an exception by a legendary pokemon, excluding manmade or other ones that reasonably wouldn't make sense, like koraidon/miraidon/eternatus/mewtwo/etc.) inscribing on it something they are grateful for. If Serena ever decides to marry, then her partner will learn about the place, simply because they have to go take their vows there.

Made it to our destination. Calem took us to this cafe (He said it was the only one closest to the Sundial) but he seemed really...peeved?? He seemed off about it and is still grumbling in the seat across from me.

Idk what his deal is. Probably cranky cause the shite coffee on the train. Foods decent here so I'm not complaining.
