the correct answer is YES and anyone who said nope doesn’t know the franchise!! every Nintendo product released had an animal crossing game correspond with it. DS had wild world, wii had city folk, DSI had new leaf, when the 3DS came out they released welcome amiibo to new leaf + happy home designer. with switch came new horizons. when the OLED came out we had the last big update for new horizons, + DLC where they said no more updates. when switch 2 comes i believe we will either see an entirely new game, or at least an announcement that one is in the works. with how big the franchise grew in 2020 they would be silly not to release either an additional DLC, or the announcement of “coming soon” esp when every nintendo direct everyone is begging for new content for ac.
