Happy to share this painting from around a year ago I painted for Isfet; A board game in an ancient Egypt Mythology setting.

This Ramses II the Great. He is by many considered to be the most famous pharaoh, having bested mighty empires and bringing Egypt to a golden age. He is also presumed to be the pharaoh of the Exodus in the Old Testament.

Thanks to my art director for pushing me with this piece. It went through many iterations but I am happy with the additional time spent on this one, as I learned a lot and I consider this piece to be one of my favourites from this set.

the way that you guys manifest is through emotions my dear empaths. like even before i started your readings that is something i picked up upon, and if you want to know a litlle more scientific stuff about it then do check out barbara fredrickson's broaden and build theory. that will help you know what i mean. . whatever you feel within is what you attract, so think of good stuff, happiness, celebrate small victories.

some manifestation methods i'd recommend are gratitude, crystal work, green witch kinda stuff? water manifestation (especially sun water) , fake it till you make it, journaling & shadow work.

"weird" people. the kids that are creative and different. yall are ENTHUSIAISTIC fssss. sm energy,sm passion ong. and the way you can manifest is through directing that energy into the right place. yall seem mis-directed in some way. another way you can manifest is through talking and connecting? writing? something around those llines like sharing your work/thoughts in some way.

i think you guys should read about ancient greek wisdom.

watching a cooking show and read the comments and MAN, tired of the myth of marco polo bringing pasta in italy being believed. pasta was present in italy from the iv century, italian were already gobbling anient versions of pasta (with proof) already 100 years before tha man came into the world (also marco polo mostly interacted with the population in china that to this day still does not have big noodle dishes, google said they were mostly the Yuan dynasty mongolians)

stop changing history understand who we got pasta from for real, it was the arabs, they gave us pasta.

Here is another painting I made for Isfet, a miniature boardgame set in mythological ancient Egypt.

This is Pharaoh Hatshepsut. She is considered among the greatest Pharaohs of the early dynasties of Egypt, with achievements in architecture, arts, mercantilism and overall prosperity for her kingdom.

The sculpture in the background is inspired by the Sphinx of Hatshepshut, which can be seen at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.

History day with tours of both The Uffizi and Palazzo Vecchio. Medici and the artists, scientists and explorers receiving their patronage had a profound impact on what I studied as ‘Western Civilization’ not only by their efforts but by the context of times when they lived. I imagine that other prominent families in other centuries (including earlier Medicis) funded and promoted ideas and ideals but during the second half of the 1400s, they helped change the direction of European art, politics, science and society in direction which endures today, how? In 1452, Da Vinci was born. In 1453, The Byzantine Empire fell as new Turkish cannon technology overwhelmed the walls that had protected Constantinople for 1000 years. The ‘Byzantines’ weren’t Byzantines until a historian called them that centuries later. To themselves and to their contemporaries they were Romans and they took great care to preserve not only Roman culture and ideas but just as consequentially those of the more proximate ancient Greeks. When the walls shockingly fell, these scholars of Anient Roman and Greek civilization fled to the wealthy cities in Italy at the same time as European and especially Italian psyches were filled with despair at the final fall of ‘Rome’ and had a new found longing to appreciate and learn from revered ancient cultures. The admiration and rebirth of Classical arts and ideals the Medicis and others had was transmitted throughout Europe at unprecedented speed due to the 1455 invention the printing press and distribution rose to meet demand and a very long shadow was cast.

While the Italian Renaissance was profoundly influenced by events outside of Florence, it was notable what a small world within Florence all these people inhabited. The paintings of Botecelli, da Vinci, Michaelangelo, et al are filled with eachother (and their patrons) as the actual subjects of the paintings. The woman in ‘The Birth of Venus’ was Amerigo Vespucci’s sister. Lorenzo (Medici) the Magnificent sponsored her brother to prove that Columbus and Spain were wrong about ‘India’ and The New World still bears his name to this day. Galileo hung out with all these guys too.

After museum time, Poli visited the ‘Wishing Pig’ (for the first of several rounds) and we visited some shops.

The words make something quiver in Lyna’s chest, the fumbling wing-beats of a fledgling bird, and even though it’s hardly the first time Shianni has said it, Lyna’s face goes hot and she can’t cover a crooked smile in time. Her arms, already folded loosely around Shianni’s torso as they lie in the drowsy sunshine, squeeze impulsively, pulling the soft figure as close as possible. 

“And I love you,” she murmurs into the skin where Shianni’s jaw meets her neck, where she can feel Shianni smile against her cheek before a delicate hand guides her face to meet lips as sweet and red as ripe raspberries. When they pull apart again, Shianni chuckles.

“You’re blushing,” she teases, gently tugging Lyna’s hand--she splays the bruised fingers, strokes at the calluses along Lyna’s palm, curls it carefully and presses it to her lips like something prized beyond value.

Loane thanks the Maker for the dense braids that cover her ears because they are basically on fire when the blonde elven woman turns to her. She had been grinning because, well, she was fun to listen to and honestly beautiful to look at.

Still, the very direct way of going about it definitely caught her by surprise and now she wished that she had hair falling on her face as well because she could feel her cheeks burning up as well. Great, fantastic, wonderful. This was exactly what she needed and wanted right now. The dwarf jumps on her chair, lightning could have just cut right through the ceiling and roof of the Herald’s Rest into her head and the reaction would have been the same. Instead of nearly spilling her drink, however, she does hold it tighter. Think of something, Loane, think of something to say and do it now.

  “I- ah-“ nope, that’s not it, that’s not great. The red deepens on her cheeks, and her mouth falls shut. Helpful, real helpful "I’m-”

Her weight shifts, throat clearing. Black eyes fall on her gloved hands, fingers exposed and around the tankard. She didn’t need to see her own ears to know that if they got any warmer that they would probably fall off the side of her head. The elven woman, Dalish (though she guessed that was just a nickname? Maybe?), seemed amused as she looked at the warden. Slim frame resting against her bow with a cristal above.

Well, at least one of them was having fun.

  “I mean-“ her throat clears once again and Loane looks up to her once again "You have a very pretty face, and you’re a lot of fun to talk to. So, it’s hard not to…” sturdy and clumsy hands release of the tankard on top of the counter and hover aimlessly around her own face, more specifically around her lips “You know.”

Well, she sure hoped that Dalish knew what she meant because she wasn’t about to fucking elaborate. The dwarf jumps from her stool, holding tightly onto her ale and what remained of her dignity “Anyway, I’m-” eyes fall on the floor, focusing specifically for those next few seconds on a stain. When they raise once again she points at the farthest point of the room. Hell, she might even just go outside “Just going to go over there and stare into my drink until I don’t feel my ears burning anymore.”
