As we land I spy Garrick across the field, crystal egg held high above his head, Dain waving the flag above his head that I had given back on the flight back to the flight field. Nearly every rider in Fourth Wing is rushing towards the pair like they are gods. And to me one of them is. One of them is mine. I can’t help but watch as he’s pulled into one armed hugs, clapped on the shoulder, shaking hands. He’s in his element. And I can’t help but smile at how happy he is.
As if sensing my gaze, Garrick’s hazel eyes snap to mine across the flight field. Not paying a single bit of attention to the riders gathered around him once our eyes meet. Without looking away from me he tosses the egg to Bodhi who stands next to him before pushing through the crowd. Bodhi looks at the egg shocked, as if not expecting Garrick to part with it so easily. Hell the Garrick I knew would never pass on the opportunity to gloat and celebrate the win as the centre of attention. But as Bodhi looks to where Garrick has walked off and see’s me, a massive smirk adorns his face as he shakes his head at us. I had promised Garrick a reward if he got the egg. And that he had done, using Xaden being distracted by Violet’s signet to his advantage. And he was going to get his reward.
The crowd parts easily for Garrick before he even gets close to them. His presence parting the way for him. Creating a path directly towards me as I slowly walk over to him. He rushes forward when only a few feet separate us, his hands cupping my cheeks as he leans down, his lips greedily kissing mine. Not a care in the world that half the quadrant or my brother can see us. The cheers of our friends and fellow cadets fade into a distant hum as we focus solely on each other. Garrick slowly pulls back, his hands still placed firmly on my cheeks as we slowly open our eyes and look at each other.
“That reward still up for grabs?” He asks huskily, his lips ghosting mine.
”Depends whose asking.” I tease, a chuckle rumbling through his body.
Garrick’s right hand lightly drifts down my neck and arm before resting on my waist, pulling me closer into him. His hand digging tightly into the small bit of skin that has become exposed. His hazel eyes fixating on mine.
”You’re boyfriend.” He whispers, his breathing slightly shaky as if he’s nervous. No he is nervous. “Hell, I’d be more if you want it. Whenever you’re ready, say it and I’m all yours sweetheart.”
My eyes go wide as I take in Garrick’s words. But know everything he speaks is true as I feel the love and devotion rolling off him. The strength of his emotions being the strongest I had ever felt since I got my signet. Which was saying something now I could block most of that out with ease, only calling on it when I needed to. As much as I wanted to say yes, say those words to make him mine. I wanted the moment I said those words to be us. Just us. Not in a flight field full of cadets watching us.
”One day.” I say as I reach up and cup his cheek with my hand, Garrick instantly nuzzling into it and placing a kiss to my palm. “I promise I will one day, even though I want to say those words so badly right now.”
He smiles and nods, understanding even if I don’t say it right now, he is mine and I am his. Have been for a very long time.
”But I think I owe someone a reward for capturing a certain egg.” Grabbing Garrick’s hand and leading him off the flight field as a chorus of cheers and whistle follow us down the stairs to the quadrant.
As soon as I shut the door Garrick tries to push me up against it. Eager to take control like he normally would. But not today. Today I had a different plan. A fleeting look of confusion flickers in Garrick’s eyes before widening in shock as I send him stumbling backwards into his desk, his hands bracing on the edge to stop him falling over. I step forward, shrugging off my flight jacket as Garrick watches me intently. I can feel the confusion and curiosity flowing off him as I open my shield to his emotions. Wanting to feel and experience everything he does. Garrick’s throat bobs as I stop in front of him, his eyes flicking down to my hands as I slowly tug on the ties of his pants. Slowly pulling them down his legs as he kicks off his flight boots and removes his jacket and shirt. Leaving Garrick standing in front of my in just his underwear, his arousal very evident.
”Mo Gradh….” He mutters as he looks at me with hooded eyes, reaching out to me to pull him against him.
”Shh… let me take care of you.” I whisper as I hook my fingers into the waistband of his underwear, slowly pulling them down as I kneel in front of him.
Garrick’s eyes go wide as he realises what I’m planning. I had tried before but he had always pulled me up, clearly worried I wouldn’t enjoy it as he wasn’t exactly small.
“Y-you don’t have t-”
I lean forward, tracing the tip of him with my tongue. Garrick’s hand fly's forward to my hair, his fingers tangling in the braid I had done for War Games. I look up to see Garrick looking at me with hooded eyes, lips parted. I keep my eyes locked with his as I swirl my tongue over the tip again before I take him fully. Garrick’s head rolling back, a moan escaping his slightly parted lips.
”F-fuck Ophelia,” Garrick moans as I take him deeper, his fingers tightening in my hair as I take him fully. “F-feels so g-good.”
I can feel Garrick holding back, not fully letting go. Not wanting to lose control. But I wanted him to. I wanted him to . I take him fully again, reaching up a cupping his ball, rolling then gently in his fingers. His hips fully lifting off the desk as a low groan slips past his lips as I hollow out my cheeks. Garrick’s eyes snap open, and I watch as something in him snaps. His composure letting go. His hands move to the end of my braid, throwing away the tie and loosening my hair before gripping it in his hands in a makeshift ponytail. before he sets his own pace as I brace my hands on his thick thighs.
”That’s it sweetheart.” He moans, sending a shiver through me. His words doing more to me than they should. “You’re doing so good.”
Our moans mix together, echoing off the walls of his dorm room. Each thrust becoming more and more urgent as Garrick chases his release. My mouth strains to fit all of him over and over again. But I don’t stop. I panic as my teeth lightly scrape along his length every so often, but he only moans when it happens.
His thrusts start to falter ever so slightly as he gets closer. But suddenly Garrick stops. Pulling me urgently up from the floor, crashing his lips into mine. His hands pushing and pulling at the last of my uniform I hadn’t taken off before taking him in my mouth. Only caring about pleasing him in the moment. Garrick’s hands begin to roam over my body, cupping and squeezing my breasts as he kisses down my neck leaving small love bites along the way. Marking me as his. Not uncommon for him to do. But never on my neck. He wanted these to be seen. He grips the back of my thighs, lifting me up with ease before securing my legs around his waist. I expect him to walk us to the bed. But he walks us over to his desk chair, positioning me directly over him. My fingers digging into his arms as he sits down, lowering me onto him in one smooth movement. My mouth open in a silent moan as I adjust to his size and angle.
”That’s it Mo Gradh.” He whispers in my ear as I bury my head in the crook of his neck. “Good girl.”
Garrick’s hands grip my hips and push me up, my hands tightening on his arms again as he does so before his hips raise to meet mine, my head rolling back. Each thrust hitting just the right spot. Something Garrick had become very good at finding over the last few months. I place my hands on Garrick’s shoulders, using them as leverage as I take over from Garrick’s thrusts. He leans back on the chair, hooded eyes watching as I bounce up and down on him. His hands tightening on my hips whenever I roll my his against his. One of his hands traces along my hip to where we meet, his fingertips slipping back and forth over the slick and swollen nub. My body instantly responding as I clench around him, my head rolling back. Garrick’s hips raise to meet my thrusts, increasing the feeling building up inside me as we move as one. He must sense I’m close as he picks me up and lays me on the desk, staying sheathed inside me with ease. He hooks my legs over his shoulders as his hands raise my hips.
”Oh god.” I moan out as my head thumps against the desk, my hands gripping onto the desk as if my life depends on it.
”No gods here, sweetheart. Just me.” He says with a smirk as he picks up the pace. “But you can worship me if you want. I can be your god.”
I laugh softly at his words, my body trembling as each thrust pushes me closer to the edge. "You're already my everything, Garrick," I whisper, locking my eyes with his as we move in a rhythm that's become as familiar as breathing.
For the second time tonight, I watch something in Garrick snap. Something primal and feral flickering in his eyes. His hips no slamming into me at an ungodly pace that has my eyes rolling back into my head. My fingers digging into the wood of the desk as my release rushes through me, I vaguely register the sound of me screaming Garrick’s name, my name name also falling from his. Garrick scoops me up into his arms, holding me tightly to his chest as he lays us down in his bed. His fingers trailing up and down my back as his beating heart pulls me into a deep sleep.

Rebellious Secrets
Request prompt:
Garrick and Reader are in a long-term relationship and have a fight about something and when she wants to reconcile, she overhears him say something that drives them further apart? Just some angsty, angsty stuff? I'll leave it up to you if it’s a happy end ;)
Synopsis: You are Xaden Riorson’s younger sister. You had survived your parents' rebellion with Xaden and Garrick and your cousin Bodhi by your side. With the years leading up after the rebellion and to when you’d each have to start at Basgiath War College. You and Garrick had become more than the close friends you were. You had been fostered away from your brother and Liam and in the same foster home as Garrick. You both were the only rebel child in the foster household you were put in. Garrick took it under his responsibility to care for you and protect you with being placed so far away from everyone else; you and Garrick had quickly fallen in love with each other. Foster siblings or not you two didn’t care as you had feelings for each other before these dreaded times. You and Garrick had cherished every moment together from when you were You and Garrick also had not cared that your foster parents kept reminding you that you were only 15 and Garrick was 17. You both spent every day basking in each other’s young love, finally out of the view of your older brother to do as you two had wished as soon as you were old enough to have an inappropriate thought about Garrick cloud your mind. You both had spent every waking moment and sleeping moment with each other after being placed in the foster home until the dreaded day had come for Garrick and Xaden to start at Basgiath.
Word Count: 6266. I got a little carried away here! But it is split into sections by a timeline frommate.
Trigger Warnings: suggestive NSFW but not full scenes, panic attacks, nightmares, distrust, tissues on standby, prolonged months of not talking to S.O, and family members. Mentions of death. I think that's it!

Y /N POV
You stirred waking in your new bedroom in Lewellen. Yesterday was supposed to be your 15th birthday but instead it had turned into a living hell. You moved your arms to the other side of the bed where Garrick Tavis had fallen asleep holding you in his arms after the turmoil of events that occurred yesterday. You sighed at the coldness of the mattress that was left behind and you let the events of yesterday race in mind. You, your older brother Xaden, your cousin Bodhi Durran as well as Garrick and all the other children of the rebellion were forced to watch your parents be executed as their attempts at a rebellion that was led by your father failed. You had cried in Garrick’s arms as you watched your parents die. You had cried in his arms as your brother got whipped 107 times representing the children of the traitors of Navarre as a plea to save our lives. You were still crying when each one of you got separated into foster homes. Garrick and yourself were found to be in a foster home in Lewellen, which was far enough away from Trivanne which was far enough away from your brother and Liam to make visits almost nearly impossible. “Hey, you're awake.” Garrick had smiled softly as he came back with a tray and a few pastries. “How are you feeling, little one?” He asked softly to get back in bed with you as you laid his head on his shoulder. “Tired, upset, angry and maybe slightly confused.”
Garrick hummed at your reply “I get it. I feel the same. I’m sorry that was a pretty shitty birthday.” “One I’d rather forget. Do you know if we are near any of the others?” “I overheard our foster parents talking and I don’t think so, at least not many of the older ones of us, maybe some of the younger children.” You cupped his cheek softly; “At least we have each other, and we can finally explore this; even if you are now my foster brother.” Garrick took your small hand into his much larger one and chuckled softly at the mention of you two now being foster siblings; “How about we start by actually celebrating your 15th birthday. Maybe a walk to take in our new surroundings and then maybe find a nice private spot to call our own.” “Gare Bear, that sounds amazing.” You said softly and took a bite of the raspberry scone he had brought in. “I wonder what our foster parents are going to think of getting the only rebellion teens in a relationship.” You had smirked and ran your fingers through his hair fixing a few unruly curls. Garrick had chuckled again and placed a soft kiss on your forehead. “If they have a problem with it, I’ll do everything I need to in order to protect you Y/N.” Which you had already known he already felt an overdrive of urgency to do as you were Fen Riorson’s youngest, who was the leader of the Tyrrish rebellion.

Y /N POV
You were finally able to see your brother for the first time after the apostasy.
“You ready little one?” Garrick had asked as you had finished getting dressed. “I should be the one asking you Gary.” You teased and ran your hands along his arms and earned a low groan from his mouth. “You know how I feel about that one nickname Y/N.” He smirked. “I know my lover, but you finally get to tell my brother about us and the fact we have been dating for 8 months.” You teased rubbing your nose together. Garrick had groaned as there was a soft knock at your door. “Come in.” You had softly expected your foster parents as your brother and Liam were meant to arrive until later. “Xad!” You exclaimed excitedly and jumped into his arms. Your brother chuckled softly; “I missed you too, Y/N. I assume Gare has been taking good care of you?” “More than you want to know.” You smirked as your brother put you down to hug his best friend as you hugged the oldest Mairi son. It had been too long since you and Garrick had seen any of the others. “Something you need to tell me, Garrick.” Your brother said mockingly. Garrick smirked, wrapping his arm around your waist. “Ok, that’s enough said already.” Xaden groaned and added; “So you two become foster siblings and decide to hook up?” Xaden smirked. “Oh we had feelings well before that.” You teased running your hands through your brother's hair. “I think we have an 18th birthday that has passed that we need to celebrate.” You had stated quickly changing the topic. And with that is what the four of you had down for the next few days. You each had spent the nights out under the stars when your brother and Liam were here and you were glad you did because little did you know that would be the last time you saw your brother until you were due to cross the parapet yourself in 633 Au.
*July 631 A.U.*
Y/N POV
“You can’t leave.” I mumbled through pursed lips into Garick’s chest. It had finally come to the time where Garrick and Xaden were the first of the rebellion children to enter the riders quadrant. That meant two years of being away from him completely. Two years of not knowing if he or your brother would be dead or alive when it came time for you and Liam to join the quadrant. Two years of you being alone in the bed that you had shared with a much larger male that engulfed your much larger smaller frame and kept you safe every night for the past four years.
You felt him place a soft kiss on your forehead. “They’ll go by faster than you think they will my little one.” He soothed as the tears finally streamed your face as you finally voiced your thoughts out loud. As you spoke your thoughts you felt his strong hand wipe your tears; “ Maybe for you but for me I have to worry about; two years of not knowing if you're alive or Xaden. Two years of not being able to fall asleep in your arms. Two years of-.” Garrick had cut you off “Hey ssssh. It’s going to be alright. I’m going to be worried about you two Y/N. In two years time you’ll be in my arms again and you’ll get to see Xaden, I promise.” He said softly as we heard aloud knock on the door, “Garrick! Time to leave!! It’s a four day trek!.” Your foster father had bellowed through the closed door. Tears still claiming your face you hung onto Garrick tighter. “Please don’t say the words.” You mumbled quietly; you had always hated goodbye; it was so permanent and everyone around you knew it. “It’s not goodbye, little one.” He said softly, squeezing you back just as tightly if not tighter.15 minutes had to have passed as Garrick had finished getting dressed and returned from the bathroom. “Everything is in your pack.” You had said softly reluctantly, handing it to him as you had sneaked a letter in there towards the bottom one for both him and Xaden. “Oh Y/N. Come here.” He said softly wrapping you in his arms as you wrapped your legs around his waist. “Tavis!” Your foster father now bellowed and knocked in the door. “Say goodbye to your foster sister and let's go, now!” Your foster parents had never approved of your and Garrick’s relationship, but that never stopped the both of you from falling madly in love with each other. Garrick rubbed soothing circles along your back, “Please don’t cry for me. If we can write, we will write as soon as possible, I promise. It’s not goodbye Y/N." "Garrick.! Let’s move it now. Being late to conscription day is not a good way to start your support for this country.” He bellowed full well knowing that was like a blow to the chest for both Garrick and I.
You softly traced his rebellion relic, your legs still wrapped around his waist. You felt Garrick start to move just as you were and he stopped as you had reached the porch and he sat you down on the chair outside; your foster father waiting by the carriage sternly. Garrick knelt down in front of you and intertwined your fingers and lifted them up and placed a soft kiss on your hands. Until next to my little one.” He said softly and pushed back a few of your stary bangs along your forehead. Somehow you managed to mumble out an “I love you. I love you both; both you and Xadn.” “I know he said softly; I’ll remind him and I love you Y/N, so much your my everything. Promise me that one day when we are able to, you'll accept my hand in marriage?” He asked softly, pulling a box from his pocket. “There’s nothing more that I would ever want in this world. Just promise me I’ll have your arms to jump into in two years.
Garrick smiled softly; that soft smile that you loved so much as he slipped the ring on your finger; “I promise. That is if our foster Father doesn’t kill me first.” You sighed’
“I love you. Always Gare.” He squeezed your hand one last time while standing up and placed a soft kiss on your forehead as you felt his warm hands leave your smaller ones. “Always my little one.” He whispered as you watched him turn and walk away from you.
* July 633 A.U.*
Y/N POV
You had woken up a few days prior before your start at Basgiath War College the same way Garrick had two years ago. “Y/N.” Your foster Father had knocked on your door loudly, “Time to leave now! Although I suppose you’ll move your ass faster than that boy did as you’ll get to see him if he's still alive.” You had groaned getting out of bed that morning. You thankfully had known that Garrick and Xaden were both still alive thanks to the letters they were finally able to send last year.
The few day's journey you had taken you and your foster Father to get to Basgiath was the longest few days of your life. You had signed in at the main gate and departed from your foster Father. Your main goal was one: to find Liam before you both had to cross a death bridge called the parapet and two: finally see Garrick, Xaden and Bodhi again. You hadn’t cared about the snide remarks you had gotten about your rebellion relic as you were focused on finding Liam. “Marked Bastard.” or “Traitor’s kid.” Were two of the most common remarks you heard. But as you spotted a blonde haired boy a few feet away with his rebellion relics down his arm none of that mattered anymore. You tapped his shoulder and both of you embraced each other in a hug before crossing the parapet.
Garrick’s POV
I looked down the list of names as each cadet that had crossed gave them to Xaden. One glance down to the see of potential cadets to see who was next in line made my heart stop. “Get ready for the next one, Riorson.” I said to Xaden a catch in my voice purely prominent. “Name.” Xaden had said to the cadet that stood before us even though we both knew it clearly. “Y/N Riorson.” she said calmly, to calm for someone that was about to cross this death trap but I knew she was trying to keep her composure and not show affection towards either of us right now. “Go ahead.” Xaden said coolly and nodded his head behind us. I couldn’t help but whisper “Small steps, It’s slick with the rain. I love you.” I said as quietly as possible as I felt her fingers brush mine lightly.
Y/N POV
You had already been reunited with your cousin and Imogen and with stood formation before you even had the chance to see Garrick or your brother. You were making your way to the dinning hall as you felt a tug on your arm pulling you around the corner, it took everything in you not to gasp at the contact as you knew who was grabbing you already and pulling you into their chest. “Gods I’ve missed you.” Garrick said softly, pulling you in tighly. “I missed you too, so much more than you could ever know.” “You're ok?” he asked with concern heavily in his voice as he stepped back to get a good luck at you and ran his hands up and down your arms. “I’m fine, Gare. Promise.” You said softly. “Gods I love you.” He said soothingly pulling you into one more tight against him one more time. “I love you too, Gare.” You had said soothingly as you held each other tightly. “Listen, love, I know it’s going to be hard but we can’t publicly display our affection towards each other. At least not until Threshing. It’s for your own safety, little one.” You nod into his chest not trusting your voice in the moment. “I don’t need other cadets, especially older cadets thinking you're trying to sleep your way to safety by dating a squad leader. You already have a target on your back for being a marked one and another for being Xaden’s younger sister.” “Will get through it Gare, I’m just glad to have you again baby.” You said softly into his chest.
* September 633 A.U.*
Y/N POV
One month until Threshing. “Anyone have any questions?” Xaden asked as you met up with the rest of the current rebels at Basgiath under a tree late at night. “Physics.” One girl had said quietly one you had never met personally until this year that had also started with you and Liam as you had sat on the ground sitting on Garrick’s lap. At least these meetings of your brother’s was one place you and Garrick could show affection towards each other. “Seriously, I feel you. I don’t even know what physics has to do with dragon riding anyways.” You said with a giggle as Garrick nibbled your ear “You doing fine with our study sessions little one.” “Legit study sessions?” Bodhi smirked. “Oh shut it Durran.” You had teased turning to look over Garrick’s shoulder. “Everything good Y/N?” He asked. You shook your head “Yeah, I just thought I had heard a noise is all.” “Physics is easy and the least of our problems. We can start having actual study sessions.” Your brother said glaring towards you and Garrick. “Anything else?” “Yeah Sorrengail.” Imogen sneered to your right. “I told you Cardulo she’s mine to handle.” “Imogen and I could do a better job, brother.” you smirked as Garrick chuckled. “Enough from all of you. She is mine to handle.” He said as you and Imogen both groaned. “If there’s nothing else suppressing tonight, I think that’s it.” Xaden said dismissing you all. As you stood you turned your head trying to take in all of your surroundings as most of the others had left you, Xad, Bodhi and Garrick. “Little one?” Garrick asked. “I just thought I saw movement on the branch, but it’s probably just an animal.” The boys nodded in agreement and Xaden had stated he wanted to walk back by himself and over time all of you had learned not to question your brother.
* November 633 A.U.*
Y/N POV
Threshing had come and gone and you were now bonded to a green daggertail named Carieann who happened to be of the sme line as Cruir who was bonded to your cousin Bodhi. You were getting used to having Carie in your mind almost 24/7. Now that you were bonded you had your own room like the other bonded first years but spent most nights in Garrick’s room still anyways. His bed was just bigger and comfier for the both of you. Your signet had also manifested and you were the first in your year to join Carr’s class. Air. Carieann had said to you when you first knocked everything off the desk in Garrick’s room without being near your desk during your morning sex one day. You can manipulate, good job little one. She said softly; which Carrieann you had found had a soft demeanor for a dragon.
You groaned when you felt a cold spot in your bed where Garrick should have been. You could faintly hear a soft argument coming through the walls to the room that was attached to Garrick’s, but you couldn’t make out anything the two males were saying. You grumbled pullin on your black robe as you walked across the hall and knocked on your brother’s door; you could hear the two males instantly shut up upon doing so. “Y/N, come in.” Xaden said as he opened the door. “And what were my brother and boyfriend arguing about, at this ungodly hour in the morning?” You mumbled through a yawn, wrapping yourself around Garrick’s waist from the side. “We weren’t arguing.” Xaded stated flatly. “I could clearly hear both of you across the hall. Also you’ve always been a terrible liar Xay.” “You caught us love, we were arguing.” Gare had said and placed a kiss on the top of your head; “I’m sorry we woke you up.” He said softly.
“What were you arguing about? It was about me wasn't it?” “Don’t be silly. It wasn’t about you. It was about mine and Sorrenail’s issue.” Xaden had said softly as Garrick scoffed. “Right, the Sorrengail issue. Something tells me that wasn’t it this time.” “It’s nothing for you to worry about. Just some third year stuff.” Garrick had scoffed again. “Alright fine, I’ll drop it. I get it.” You had groaned. “Come little one, let's get dressed for classes.” Garrick said and guided you out of your brother’s room; not without a snide glare back towards your brother. You could have sworn you felt your brother’s shadows brush your wrist softly as you and Garrick had left.
*Winter Solstice 633 A.U.*
Y/N POV
Winter Solstice used to be one of your favorite holidays. However that was until you had noticed your boyfriend and brother were absent from the activities. In fact you had noticed they were absent from everything all day now that you had thought about it. “Bodhi.” “Hmmm.” Your cousin hummed in reply, not looking up from the game of chess he was playing with Liam. “Where the hell are Xaden and Garrick?” “I’m not sure what you mean, Y/N.” You sighed heavily as you were sitting in a common room and enjoying the fire, or more like trying to. “You sure as hell do Durran and you know it. Why they hell have they been acting so weird lately?”
“No ones been acting weird lately.” Xaden said as he and Garrick sat on the couch next to you. Instead of cuddling into Garrick’s side like you had wanted to, you stood up. “Yes you have both of you have even Durran.” You said sternly pointing a finger at each of them as you directed your voice towards them. “Y/N, sweetheart calm down.” Garrick said softly standing up, but you pushed him back down. “No you don’t get to sweetheart me. Not right now.” “You’ve all been hiding something from me and I demand it right now.” At that you had gotten both boys to sighed heavily; you had even gotten a sigh out of Bodhi. “Where the hell were you two today?” Garrick sighed and glanced towards Xaden. “We were-” “No.” You're brother had cut him off with a sharp tone. “She'll when the time is right.” “I knew you had been hiding something. '' I said, voice sharp and fists clenched. Little one.” Garrick had said softly and pulled you into a calming embrace before your anxiety attack had a chance to spiral. “Breathe.” he said softly rubbing soft circles along your back.
Several months had passed and it was now mid February and it seemed like Garrick, Xaden and Bodhi were gone more frequently and you were about to reach your wits end with all of them. You sighed heavily sitting down to breakfast with Imogen and the others. “What's up your ass?” Imogen asked from across the table. “I just feel like the boys are hiding more than what they’re letting on about.” “Come on Y/N/N, Garrick’s your boyfriend, Xaden is your brother, and Bodhi is your cousin. Do you really think those three are hiding anything from you?” “Yeah Imogen I do. They’ve been coming back at all certain points when they do go wherever the hell they go. Hell sometimes Garrick isn’t even back in bed until the next morning, a few hours before we have to get up from classes.” “Relax, Riorson.” Liam said. “Relax?” I snapped. “I’m tired of hearing that word from anyone from Carrieann from Xaden from Garrick. Breathe, Liam did nothing he's just trying to understand. Carrieann chimed in your mind. You sighed. “I’m sorry, Li.” You had said softly. “It’s just each time I even ask about what's going on Garrick is all ready to tell me and Xaden just cuts me off and says when the time is right.” “I’ve tyred asking about them and I get the same response.” Violet said to you in an understanding. “I’m just going to get ready for class.” You said take your barely half eaten breakfast to the trash.
You had decided to take the long way back to the dorms when you paused and heard bickering male voices you knew all too well. You paused in your steps you could have sworn you heard your brother say Aretia and Rebellion. You stormed around the corner; “Good Morning boys. Nice of you to finally come back to the quadrant.” You snapped towards the three of them. “Sweetheart.” Garrick said softly. “No.” You had snapped; “I’m done. I’m done with these secrets. I demand to know what's going on.” “We’ve only kept this quiet to protect you and the others from back home.” Xaden started to say softly. “In our first year here we decided to help rebuild our home. We also decided to smuggle weapons out of Basgiath to help aid the gryphon fliers.” Garrick said, reaching for your wrist as you pulled away. “And you decided to keep that from each of us since you’ve started? That you’ve been going home and rebuilding our childhood home?” You stammered. “Y/N/N.” Xaden said softly. “I’m sorry.” Garrick said softly trying to reach for you again but at this point you had backed yourself away from them and backed closer into the opposite wall. “If you're sorry then let me help, let the others help.” Your brother gave you a solemn look that you knew all too well. “It’s too dangerous, Y/N/N. '' Xaden said. You shook your head and started to hold the tears that were brimming your eyes. “Little one.” Garrick said softly trying to stop closer to you. Your cousin is a silent specter in all of this. “I can’t do this anymore, not right now. I need a break from all of you.” “Y/N/N, please.” Garrick said softly hurt clearly on his face just as much as yours.
“Let me know when you boys have rethought your decision.” You stammered out barely keeping your composure together. That night you had gone to your own room for the first time since it had been assigned to you as yours. You climbed into the cold bed and tried to get comfortable without Garrick by your side. Half of you, more than half of you was screaming to go up the stairs and climb into his bed and into his arms. You had spent basically every night in that man’s arms since you started dating besides the two years you were separated. I know this is hard but I’m proud of you for standing your ground; Y/N. Carrieann chimed in your head softly. Rest you will need it, I’ll keep you safe. So you can be sweet, Good night Carrieann. You teased back at your dragon down your bond.
*July 1st- July 8th 634 A.U.*
Y/N POV
It was now the month of July and being a cadet at Basgiath War College July meant several things. Reunification day which was today, war games and graduation. Graduation meant you and Garrick would be separated again, that is if you were ever talking again; as July also meant it had been almost four whole months since you have given the boys the ultimatum. The only one you had really talked to besides Liam and Imogen as Bodhi as you knew your cousin was mainly the innocent bystander in Garrick and Xaden’s schemes. July also meant that each squad would participate in war games before graduation.
The day was long and drawing out as you prepared for the evening. You were only going to the evenings events to support Liam who was crowned the body guard of Violet several months ago. When you reached the courtyard you stationed yourself on a bench as secluded as you could be. “I didn’t expect to see you here, Riorson.” Dain said softly sitting down next to you. You sniffled pushing back the tears that were threatening to escape at the thoughts in the back of your mind. “I’m just here so Liam isn’t alone.” “I see. So are you going to talk to your boyfriend and brother anytime soon again?” “I don’t know. They held some big lies that I’m still not completely over and they also haven’t accepted their ultimatum.” You sniffled. “Hey it’s ok.” Dain said softly placing a hand on the small of your back as the fireworks ended and symbolized the ending of the event.
“Can I walk you back to your room?” Dain asked genuinely to help you stand, you nod softly. “I’d like that, please.” “Of course. Long way or short?” He asked, wrapping his arm around the middle of your waist. “Long.” You had responded in hopes you wouldn’t pass that many other cadets as you weren’t in the mood for much conversaton. As you and Dain had passed around the corner to the first floor dorms you felt a hand softly grab your wrist and watched Garrick step out of the shadows. You watched as he took in the sight of Dain’s arm around your waist. “Can we talk?” Garrick asked, his voice weavering on the verge of confiedence. “That depends if you and Xaden are ready to let me help.” “Y/N/N.” Garrick said in a mild tone and that was all you needed to know for an answer; “Goodnight, Tavis.” You said flatly turning towards your room hiding the tears threatening your face; Dain’s hand still placed softly on your back as reassurance as you unlocked your door. “Are you settled for the night?” He asked as he gave you once over. You nodded; “Yeah, I’m just gonna grab my things and head to the shower rooms and freshen up before trying to sleep.” “I don’t know whatever it is that they are not letting you be a part of but if you ever need anyone.” He said in a less than confident voice, hand resting on the back of his neck. “Thanks, Dain. It’s definitely complicated. I’m sure they’ll come around. If they don’t-” I paused the tears threatening again at the complete chance of losing both your love of your life and your brother.” Dain nodded in a content agreement and gave you one more hug before you both had said goodnight.
You had felt a rushed knock at your door and groaned to Dain at the other end. “What's going on?” You mumbled sleepily. “War games. We need to meet in our squad and split into teams. Flight field on 15.” You grumbled gathering your bag and. Carrieann. You asked down your bond. I’m ready, so are the others. She said calmly, almost too calm for what was about to happen as you meet up with the rest of the squad; Xaden and Dain are already bickering about teams. “Hey Riorson.” Ridoc said happily, slapping an arm around your back, “You look like shit.” “Gee thanks Gamlyn.” “Anytime.” He smirked as you and Garrick locked eyes with each other. A hint of remorse could almost be seen from him. “Y/N.” He said walking over to you. “Now really isn’t the best time for us to have this conversation, Garrick.” “Marked ones with me and everyone else with Aetos.” as you were both cut off by your brother stepping into place as you heard Violet protesting to go with us. You stepped forward, “It’s fine Violet and I can switch that way Tairn and Sgaeyl can be together if something happens.” Garrick tried reaching for you as you went to switch out with Violet but you just shrugged him off. Dain handed you the flag he was holding as if it was a silent action to solidify your spot on this side of your team. However even though you weren’t going to admit you were a little pained that you weren’t going to face whatever was ahead with the rest of the marked ones; your forever family. “Alright everyone knows what to do.” Xaden said in his wingleader voice and through a soft gaze towards you as he said “Fly out.” You mounted Carrieann as the group mounted their dragons. I know this is tough I'm proud of you. She said to you softly.
*July 6th 634 A.U.*
Y/N POV
It had been almost three whole days since the other team should have been back. The other team consisted of your friends, your cousin, your brother, your boyfriend. You sighed, taking your seat between Rhiannon and Ridoc during battle brief that morning. “You ok Riorson.” Ridoc asked “They should be back. They were supposed to be back by now.” You had felt a pang of guilt with how things were between you, Xaden and Garrick when war games started. You were now certain it would only be days until you heard all their names on the morning death roll; knowing that you had been arguing for months before they left had taken a sudden toll in the past few days and your friends have noticed. “It’s all going to be ok.” Ridoc said softly and placed a reassuring hand on your knee. “Garrick and Xaden and I haven’t even been talking, Carrieann can’t reach any of their dragons and yet here we are continuing classes as if everything is supposed to be normal.” You stammered as your breathing was getting heavy as Professor Devera started the lesson as you bolted from your seat as you felt another panic attack starting to consume you. “Riorson; where are you going?” The professor directed towards me. “I can’t.” You had managed to stammer out as you could very faintly hear Dain apologizing for the both of you as he followed you out into the hall. “Breathe, It’s ok, just Breathe; Y/N/n.” He said soothingly, running his hands along your arms as he had down several times in the past days.
Carrieann would often alert Cath in the middle of the night if you had a panic attack or nightmare after the end of war games.”How is everything supposed to be normal when half of our squad is still missing. Half of our squad that is my family.” “I know, I know this is tough, but I promise you they are going to be ok.” He said softly as he had several other times this week. “How I’m I supposed to live with myself if this is how it ends?” “They both know you love them. You were standing up for yourself.” “I can’t go back to class.” “I know.” Dain soothed as your breathing started to come back to normal. “A walk in the courtyard for some fresh air?” You nodded as you knew he was the only one who could even feel close to how you were feeling because of Violet.
You sighed heavily in all defeat with none of the being back yet as you woke up on what was supposed to be Xaden and Garrick’s graduation day. Dain stirred beside you as he refused to leave after you had finally calmed down after your nightmare last night; which had been the worst one you had yet. “Are you ok if I go back upstairs and get dressed and ready for formation? You nod slightly; “Yeah I’ll be fine and hey Dain?” “Yeah?” He asked, tossing his black t-shirt back on. “Thank you again, especially for refusing to leave.” “Of course.” He said softly and placed a soft hand on your shoulder before he left.
*July 11th 634 A.U.*
Y/N
Guilt was riding all over you as you joined your squad sitting next to day during morning formation. You laid your head down on his shoulder keeping your tears at bay as you weren’t prepared for this morning's death roll. “Good morning cadets.” Captain Fitzgibbons said as he took his place on the dias. July 11th, 634 Au; Imogen Cardulo, and there it was you thought the first set of tears threatening to escape as the captain began reading your friends names; Bodhi Durran; your heart now sank as he said your cousins name; Liam Mairi, and there it was the first tear to fall from your face onto Dain’s shoulder as he placed a soft hand on your back followed by Sawyer following Dain’s movement; Violet Sorrengail, the captain continued to read; Garrick Tavis, and there it was one of the names that sent you spiraling into an ocean of tears; Xadan Riorson-. “Well this is rather awkward.” Your heart skipped a million voices. It had been almost two weeks. Was your mind playing tricks on you? You nervously lifted up your head from Dain’s shoulder; tears streaming down your face. But sure enough there stood your brother and Garrick and everyone else the one person missing was Liam. You had locked eyes with Garrick as you heard the captain say:
“I don’t understand,” Fitzgibbons says to the two scribes behind him, then addresses Panchek. “They aren’t dead. Why would they have been reported for the death roll?”
You steadily hold your gaze with Garrick tears still streaming down your face as he steadily holds his gaze with yours. There was nothing more that you wanted to break formation and jump into the arms of the man you loved. You needed to feel him to know he was really there to know that Liam was unfortunately the only one to really be gone. But you know you couldn't, you knew you had to wait until Violet and your brother were done pleading their story and waiting for the council's approval. If they didn’t approve,- well you didn’t even want to think of the possibilities or even actual death your friends would endure.
Finally after what seemed like hours, formation hand ended and their story was believed and riders were frantically making their own decisions about what they had just heard and what choice they wanted to make. You could care less about that as you and Garrick were each trying to move through the sea of cadets to get to each other; your brother and everyone else close behind him. “Little one, my little one.” Garrick said softly wrapping his arms around your waist both of you with tears falling down your face. “I’m so sorry.” You managed to mumbled into Garrick’s chest as you felt your brother place a reassuring hand on your back. “You don’t have to apologize. We are the ones that need to apologize. I should have let you help but you are my little sister and keeping you safe is my number priority.Your hands left Garrick’s back and found themselves on your brothers. “I almost lost you, I almost lost both of you.” You said quietly one arm reaching out for Garrick as well. “I love you both, I love you both so much. Just don’t be dicks and let me help next time.” This had earned a chuckle from both of the boys as Garrick pulled you away from your brother and fully back into his arms as you wrapped your legs around his waist.
“I shouldn’t be worried about Aetos should I?” He asked through a chuckle. You shook your head which was buried into the crock of his neck as you took in his familiar scent. I raised up your head to look at the love of your life and take in his hazel eyes and pushed a loose curl back into place.“I love you and only you. You're mine and I’m yours. Always and forever.” You said softly and rested your foreheads together as Garrick repeated “I love you and only you. You're mine and I’m yours. Always and forever.” “Oh please gag me.” Imogen chidded from behind both of you, which had earned a soft chuckle from everyone nearby.

Lost Sister Bonus Part - Garrick POV
The first of our bonus chapters for Lost Sister from Garrick's POV! This one covers Part 6 & 7 from Ophelia's POV.
Garrick Tavis x OC (Ophelia Riorson)
The Lost Sister Masterlist | Masterlist
I watch as the healer cleans the blood from where Imogen kneed her in the face. A knee to the face I should have stopped. A fight I should have stopped. A fight that was going to leave Ophelia with questions. Questions I couldn’t deny any more. But god damn, had she put up a good fight. It was rare to see another rider but Imogen in her place. And she had done it with ease. It was becoming clear she had been trained well over the last few years. As much as I hated the General, I was grateful he was the reason she was alive.
As the healer walks away I finally push off the wall, pulling up a chair next to her. Her eyes focusing on me as I reach up and tilt her to the side. I had to give it to the healer, she’d done a good job. Not a single mark was left on her face.
”You two really did a number on each other.” A chuckle escaping my lips as I look into her green eyes.
”You finally going to tell me what the hell is up with you and Imogen.” She snaps out at me.
I can’t help the way I flinch and recoil at the tone in her voice. A tone I’ve never heard from her in my life. Even in the few times her and Xaden would yell at each other, I’d never heard her sound like this. I avert my gaze to my hands now fidgeting in my lap.
“I promise you there is nothing going on-”
”Bullshit.” She snaps again, cutting me off as I look back up at her.
Idiot. Why had I denied it? She always valued truth and honesty. She could read people like a book. And the way Imogen had gone at her today was just proof of the history between us. A history I could no longer deny, even if it meant nothing to me.
“For me there’s nothing going on with her. We hooked up a few times, but that was it.” I admit to her, hoping she can see the truth in my eyes.
I’d made it clear to Imogen from the beginning. Made it clear it was just something casual. That someone else had my heart. That I couldn’t give her more than something casual. But the more it happened, the harder it was to convince her that I didn’t want more. Any time I’d had a rough day, had something remind me of her… I ended up in Imogen’s bed. And with Ophelia returning, I hadn’t gone back to her once. Imogen was quick to put together who held my heart instead of her.
”But I made it clear I wanted nothing serious. But it is becoming clear those hook ups meant more to her than just something casual.”
I can see the hurt in her eyes as she processes what I’m saying.
”You never struck me as the casual hook up type.” She admits as she averts her gaze from mine.
I slowly nod in agreement as I look back down at my hands. She was right. The Garrick she knew before she died turned down every damn girl. Because none of them were her. None of them were the girl who sat in front of me. She was my everything. Until she wasn’t. Until I thought she was gone. Until I broke a promise I made all those years ago.
”Honestly, I’m not. But there are times while you are here where you just need someone. And the person I needed. The person I wanted more than just a casual hook up with,” I look up to see her looking back at me. Her eyes going wide as if she knows exactly what I’m about to say. “Well I kind of thought they were dead till recently.”
All I can hear is my damn heart beating in my chest. Beating so loudly and fast I’m sure she can hear and see it. I can see the panic in her eyes as she takes in my words. Shit. Had I been wrong all those years? Had my damn feelings been one sided all this time? No. Definitely not. But I can’t help the panic that’s slowly setting in as she continues to stare at me with those damn green eyes.
Shuffling feet pull us from our trance, the healer returning with a tub of healing balm clutched in their hands that she holds out to Ophelia. “Here you go lovely, just apply it to any bruising that appears.”
She moves so damn fast that I feel like I blink and she’s halfway across the medical wing with the healing balm clutched in her hands. The chair scrapes against the floor as I rush to stand. Knocking it to the ground with a loud bang that startles the poor healer as I go to rush after her.
“Ophelia! Wait!” I call out, hoping she hears me and stops.
But as I burst through the door, she’s nowhere to be seen. God damn she was fast. Nothing new. She’d always been able to out run us all as kids. I was stupid to think it would be any different now. I set off in the direction of the riders quadrant, the only way she could have gone if she was fleeing. As I get closer and closer, the few riders scattered around are looking around with puzzled looks on their faces. She definitely came this way. But as I reach the Rotunda where I had hoped to catch her, there isn’t a single trace of her.
”She ran into the dorms, took the stairs by the looks of it.” A familiar voice calls out to me.
I look to my right, Liam leaning against the stone wall as he carves away at a piece of wood. He was still in the early stages, no shape to give away what it was going to be just yet. Though based off what I’d seen him making recently, it was probably another dragon.
”Thanks, I owe you.” I call to him before taking off in the direction of the dorms
Riders turn and stare as I rush past them, doing my best to catch up as I take multiple stairs at a time. If she took the stairs there are only two places she could have gone. Second or third year dorms, and it was easy to narrow down where she had gone. There’s no way she’d have gone to Xaden’s room. And definitely no way she had gone to mine seeing as I was the one she was running from. Leaving only one person she would go to. Bodhi.
I knock on his door louder than I intend in my rush to find her. “Bodhi are you there? I’m looking for Ophelia.”
My heart drops when he opens his door, a confused look on his face. Shit, she wasn’t here. Where the hell had she gone?
”No, she’s not here. Everything ok?” He asks as he furrows his brow at me.
I probably looked like a mess right now. Chest rising and falling as I catch my breath from running over here, hair dishevelled from running my hands through it. He’d only ever seen me like this once. And ironically it was also because of her.
”Ahh yeah. Just someone said she came this way. And you’re the only second year I could think of that she would go to.” I say, shoulders slumping as I realise I’ve lost her.
Bodhi must notice it, hear the sadness in my voice as he gives me a tight lipped smile. “Do you want to go for a walk? Looks like you have something on your mind.”
”Yeah, that would be great actually.” I say with a nod, stepping back to let Bodhi out of his room.
We walk in silence, Bodhi clearly knowing this is a conversation to have in private away from other cadets. Both of us instinctively going to the stairs that will take us up to the tower where we have most of the conversations we don’t want others to hear. For a while the only sound we hear is our footsteps echoing off the walls as we climb higher and higher, but as we near the top two voices waft down to us from the top. After a few more steps it becomes clear who it is, and as we push open the door we’re greeted with Xaden and Liam.
Xaden’s head snaps towards me, taking in my grim expression and slouched shoulders. “Is she ok?” he snaps out as he takes a step towards me.
I can hear the worry in his voice. It’s rare for Xaden to show emotion in his voice, but around those he deems close he lets his usual mask slip. Paired with the fact the last time he saw me I was carrying his bleeding sister towards the healers quadrant, his worry is valid with how I look.
”Yeah…. She’s fine.” I mutter as I run my hand through my hair for what feels like the hundredth time today.
His brow furrows as he looks at me, clearly confused as to why I look so grim. Before I can explain Bodhi starts snickering as he walks over and leans against the pillar next to Liam.
”Yeah if you count fine as running to my room in hysterics because someone finally admitted their feelings.” He says casually as if it’s everyday conversation. My head snaps to him as I see red. Bodhi cowering as I shift from freaking out to angry.
“She was in your room the entire time!” I yell as I start storming towards him before Xaden catches my arm, my head snapping towards him instead.
Xaden cocks a brow at me as if to ask what the hell am I doing going after Bodhi. I sigh and do my best to relax. The only reason Bodhi would lie about seeing her was because she had asked. Because she needed time alone. Which given how shocked she had looked before running off, it was clear she needed some space right now. And seeing as I’d just gone from thinking my world was ending to wanting to rip off Bodhi’s head, I also needed time to clear my head and gather my thoughts.
”Did she say anything? About what happened? What she thought?” I ask, turning back to Bodhi who has returned to his spot against the pillar.
”No, all she managed to do was blurt out you essentially told her you loved her and then got angry at me when I laughed and threw the healing balm at me before you knocked on my door.” He explains.
”Did she manage to hit you in the head and knock some sense into you?” Xaden teases from next to me.
Bodhi jokingly glares at Xaden before rolling his eyes. “No, and I have plenty of sense thank you.”
”So what exactly happened?” Liam asks, pulling my attention from Xaden and Bodhi.
I walk over to the ledge, bracing my hands on the top as I look over Basgiath. No point hiding anything now that Bodhi had blurted out a very simplified version of what had happened at the end. And Xaden would kill me if I didn’t fully explain what happened.
“She asked me about Imogen.” I admit, a collective sharp intake of breath coming from the group around me.
“I bet that went well.” Bodhi mutters followed by a loud smack, most likely from Liam who was still next to him.
“About as well as you can imagine. Don’t think I’ve ever seen her that angry.” I say, managing to chuckle slightly at the memory.
As much as it had scared me to see her snap at me like that. It honestly didn’t surprise me considering what I’d seen Xaden do sometimes. She was definitely going to have no issues taking care of herself here.
“You tried to deny it didn’t you?” Xaden drawls as he leans against the pillar next to me.
I don’t even have to look to know he’s raised his brow at me, looking at me like I’m an idiot. He knows she would only have gotten mad at me if I’d tried to deny it. Which I had. Like a goddamn idiot.
“I want to say I didn’t. But I did.” I mutter, mentally slapping myself for doing so.
Would it have turned out differently if I hadn’t denied it? Probably not. She probably still would have freaked out.
“I’d tell you you’re an idiot but I can tell you already know that.”
I turn my head to glare at him, to see him already looking at me with a grin that says everything I need to know. He’s glad I finally admitted my feelings, but also getting a kick out of the situation.
“Yeah I’m fully aware I’m an idiot. I should have just told her. I should have known she’d essentially turn into you when I denied it.”
“What’s that suppose to mean?” His grin faltering.
“Oh you know exactly what he means,” Bodhi jokes as Liam snickers next to him before they both cower from the shadows looking at their feet.
I’d seen what Xaden could do with those shadows, and so had those two. Safe to say those two were keeping their mouths shut for a bit.
“I just don’t think she would run like that. I was always so sure she felt the same way.” I confess as I push off the ledge, turning to pace back and forth in an effort to clear my head of the doubt forming.
“She does. Don’t doubt that for a second. She might not say it, but you can tell by the way she acts she does. She always has. Just like for you, it’s always been you for her.” Xaden says in a tone I hadn’t heard in years. The last time I’d heard it was when I’d confessed my feelings to her after we thought she was dead.
“Then why did she look so shocked and run off like that. I thought…”
“You thought she’d leap into your arms and that would be that?” Bodhi adds, a slight teasing tone to his voice.
I was going to have to show him a lesson on the mat later if he kept this up. He was not helping my mood at all. Just like Xaden he was getting a kick out of this, and I didn’t like it. This was going to be hell till I sorted this out.
“Not like that, but I didn’t expect her to run off like I’d told her the worst news in the world. She probably hates me for the Imogen thing.”
“You’re spiralling and it isn’t a good look for you.” Xaden adds, causing me to stop my pacing as I turn to look at him. “She won’t hate you for the Imogen thing. You thought she was dead. She knows if you knew she was alive it wouldn’t have happened. She probably just needs some time to think about it and process it. Give her some time.”
I nod in agreement. As much as she was like Xaden, she was also different from him in many ways. Even as a kid she would often take her time to process things or think about it. And it probably hadn’t helped I’d properly admitted my feelings to her after also admitting I’d slept with Imogen. Probably should have picked a better time for that.
“Yeah, you’re right. I’ll talk to her tomorrow.”
“Good.” He says with a nod, before his expression quickly turns serious and almost deadly. “And don’t say anything stupid when you do. You might be the only guy I’d allow to be with her, but I will not hesitate to come after you if you break her heart. I might consider you a brother, but she’s my sister and I will not hesitate to go after anyone that hurts her. Even you.”
Out of the corner of my eye I see Liam and Bodhi struggling to hold their laughter in. Both pursing their lips as I glance their way before turning back to Xaden and nodding.
“Noted, hurt her and I’m six feet under.”
“Six feet under in a hole dug by those two idiots.” He says nodding towards Bodhi and Liam.
“Who are you calling idiots?” Bodhi exclaims while glaring at his cousin.
“The two that have been trying not to laugh like a pack of Hyenas for the last few minutes.” He grumbles before pushing off the ledge, heading back to the quadrant with them both rushing after him.
Never a dull day in this fucking death sentence of a college.

Lost Sister Bonus Chapter - Garrick POV If you haven't read my Lost Sister series or finished it, this is spoilers for the last few parts. So if you don't want to be spoiled for that, read those first. But I feel like the title explains what's about to happen. Enjoy.
Garrick Tavis x OC (Ophelia Riorson)
The Lost Sister Masterlist | Masterlist
I’d walked down this hall countless times in my life. Knocked on that door countless times in my life. Never had I been scared to talk to Fen in my life. Yet here I was, practically shaking with fear as I walked towards the door to his office at the end of the hall. The small box burning a hole in my pocket. Mum had told me to bring it with me, proof of the dedication I had for what I was about to ask of him.
We were on the brink of war. Aretia had descended into chaos in the last few days. And it was becoming clear we’d be heading into battle any day now. And out there anything could happen. No guarantee your friends or family would come back. Meaning I had to do this before it was too late. I had to have his permission. His blessing. Mum was confident he would give it to me.
“You’re the only one he trusts fully with her besides Xaden and Bodhi. He knows you’ll do anything to protect her.”
I hoped she was right. It wouldn’t feel right asking her one day without his blessing. He was the only parent she had. I knew if anything happened to him I could ask Xaden. But something deep down told me I needed to ask him. Knew it would be important to her in some way.
I stop in front of the door, hand raised and ready to knock. I could do this. Easier said than done. I almost jump at how loud my knock is on the door. The sound echoing more than usual down the hall. Had it always been that loud?
“Come in.” The familiar voice calls from the other side.
I push open the door, Fen already looking up at me from where he stands behind a table with a map sprawled open in front of him. Various figures are scattered across it, most likely noting points of interest and where our units are stationed. Before I can get a good look, he quickly moves around it, putting himself in front of it to block it from view.
”Garrick, you are definitely not who I was expecting to have knocking on my door. Is everything ok?” He asks, his brow furrowing as he looks at me, most likely noting the worry etched into my features.
”Yes, everything is fine sir.” I say with a nod, clearly way to quickly as he chuckles slightly at me.
He reaches forward, placing a hand on my shoulder, guiding me over to his desk. ”You sure, you seem a bit on edge.”
I lower myself into the chair in front of his desk as he takes his place behind it. Fen leaning back in his chair as he rests his hands in his lap while looking at me. I couldn’t back out now. But all I wanted to do was run out the door I’d just walked through moments ago.
”I promise you sir, I’m fine. Just nervous is all.” I admit as I give him a tight lipped smile.
”Well the only times I have ever seen you nervous are when you and Xaden have been up to something.” He pauses before smirking at me, a mischievous glint in his eyes that Xaden definitely inherited from him. “Or when you’re around my daughter. And seeing as you and Xaden have not been up to anything that I am aware of. Then I can only assume this is about Ophelia.”
Shit. That man could read me like a damn book. I could keep nothing from him. But he wasn’t wrong. It was very rare for me to get nervous. And over the last few years one of the causes had been Ophelia. Though honestly, I think she had always made me nervous. Could turn me into a stumbling mess without even trying. It was worth it though. Every time it happened, I would be graced by her laughter. Laughter that would have my heart beating faster and faster. Laughter that never failed to make me smile. Honestly everything about her made smile.
I take a deep breath and nod as I lock eyes with Fen. “Yes sir, it’s about her.”
”If you’re going to ask my permission to ask her out after all this time, you don’t need it. You’re probably the only boy I would trust with her.” A teasing tone evident in his as he smiles at me.
Clearly my feelings had not been as subtle as I thought. My mother picking up on it I could understand. She saw us together nearly every day when we we’re in Aretia. It wasn’t uncommon for Fen to see us together, but with leading the rebellion and the head of Riorson house, he was a busy man.
I laugh nervously, the box in my pocket feeling heavier than ever. “Thank you sir. But, I actually wanted to talk to you about something else to do with her.” My voice breaking slightly at the end causing Fen to chuckle at me before he furrows his brow in confusion.
”Well I must admit Garrick, you have me stumped. Which is a rare occurrence.”
I reach my shaky hand into my pocket, pulling out the box my mother had given me before I’d walked out our door. Fen looking even more confused as I raise from the chair to place it on the desk in front of me. He eyes me curiously as he reaches forward and takes the box. As he opens it his eyes go wide, taking in the ring inside. I know he knows that ring. My father was his best friend. He’d been there when my father had proposed to my mother. They’d often joked about how Fen had gone with him to find the ring and how nervous my father had been. His eyes finally move back to mine, staring me down. It was a look void of any emotion. Unable to read what was going through his mind. And honestly that made me more nervous than the idea of him getting angry at me.
”I know you know that ring sir. And I know I haven’t asked her out yet. I promise I will once this has all calmed down. And I don’t want to jinx how this could all pan out. But just in case something happens, I need your permission. Because when I ask her out that is it. There is no one else for me. And I pray to the gods it’s the same for her. But I need your permission just in case something does happen.” I blurt out, not taking a single breath.
For a while all we do is stare at each other. Fen with his blank stare, and the only sound in the room is my heavy breathing. As the seconds past my heart starts beating faster and faster. To the point it’s all I can hear. But then the corners of his mouth curl upwards. Fen’s signature smirk that he’d passed onto both his kids is all I need to calm my heavily beating heart.
”I really hope you haven’t jinxed us all. I’d like to think we’re going to win whatever is thrown our way in the coming weeks. But you aren’t wrong. Anything can happen.” He says before pausing and looking back down at the ring in the box before snapping the lid closed. He leans forward and places the box in front of me. “And just in case it does. I give you my blessing to marry my daughter one day.”
I can’t help but look at him in shock. He’d said yes. Given me permission to ask his daughter to marry me one day. All I had to do was ask her out first. As sure as I was of her feelings, I highly doubt I could outright ask her to marry me. I think she’d have a heart attack, swiftly followed by Xaden probably wanting to murder me. The way he’d been joking lately, he had to know of my feelings. The way he’d poke fun at the both of us, how embarrassed Ophelia would get. He had to know. But something tells me he would still want to murder me slightly.
I reach forward and take the box off the desk before placing it back in my pocket. “Thank you sir. I really appreciate it.”
”It’s no problem. Now I don’t mean to be rude but I do have a meeting soon. So I do have to ask you to leave.” He says as he nods towards the door, which conveniently opens to reveal my father and other high ranking leaders.
I nod him a thanks before pushing myself out of the chair and turning towards the door. My father struggling to hold his smirk as I walk towards him. And it’s all I need to know my mother told him what I was doing. The pat on the back he gives me as I pass is further confirmation.
”Oh and Garrick.” Fen calls out to me as I reach the door.
I turn to see him staring at me with his usual hard to read look. “Don’t wait too long to ask her. As you said, anything can happen.”
Little did I know how true his words would come to be.

hi friend!! I wanna be the first to send a director’s cut ask hehe. I’m so excited that you’re doing these, they’re so fun. I adore Ophelia and Dahlia and I’m very excited to see more of them ❤️🖤
I don’t have a specific chapter to pick out for Ophelia, since there’s a too many to choose from, but can you tell us a little bit about Garrick and Ophelia pre-Basgiath? what was their relationship like? was she part of the gang with G/X/Bo, or regarded as a tag-along who they “had to take trick or treating with them”? when did Garrick fall for her, or start to; before she “died”, or when they reunited at Basgiath? he was clearly affected by the sight of her with her natural hair, so I’m thinking before hehe
also, did Xaden ever give Garrick the “shovel talk” about this whole thing off-screen, or does he trust gare enough not to have to threaten him? how does G&O being a couple affect their friendship? is Xaden glad that it’s Garrick of all people who loves and protects his sister, or is that outweighed by him being (only a little) grossed out by this whole thing?
if you’ve answered these already I’m sorry, I think I may have missed a few parts and I need to do a whole re-read sometime in one sitting. and don’t feel pressured to answer all of these. I know it’s a lot of questions, and some of them you might want to keep secret for now.
okay that’s it for now hehe love ya!! here’s a bouquet of flowers for you and some strawberries from my garden too since I can’t deliver them to you in person 💐🍓🍓
💗 Liz @callsign-rogueone
I was having so much fun reading yours, and it made me want to do my own. And thank you for being the first one! Ophelia & Garrick Pre Basgiath. She is definitely part of the gang from day one. Her and Xaden have always gotten along and she was attached to his hip from the moment she could walk. So she just naturally became apart of their group. I've gone into this a lot with @fw-gt in terms of Garrick and Ophelia's relationship. But her and Garrick have always been close. Whenever Garrick's family was in Aretia/Riorson House, she would always be over at his place and his mum loved her. Garrick's mum would spoil the hell out of her. She'd constantly be getting O to stay for dinner, stay the night etc. In my head I've had these scenarios of these two attempting to cook in the kitchen and getting into mischief (throwing flour and things at each other etc), her sitting on the counter while he does something for his mum. Or them sitting in his room late at night talking and them both falling asleep, only to be found by his mum the next morning asleep in each others arms. Garrick's mum has always been their biggest supporter, secretly hoping when they got older they would get together (she of course sadly never sees this happen). But Garrick fell for her well before Basgiath. I'd probably say early teens he started realising his feelings were changing for her and developing into something more. Which then lead to some not so subtle comments from Xaden and Bodhi. There is something you'll find out in Part 40 to do with his feelings towards her Pre Basgiath as well. Xaden & Garrick's Relationship (in regards to Ophelia) They do have a talk off-screen. This gets referenced in Part 10 and 12 when Xaden talks to Ophelia and before Garrick and Ophelia get together in Part 13. I am actually tempted to do a Garrick POV Bonus Part of one of these moments..... But Xaden very much trusts Garrick with her. There would be some jokes about him threatening Garrick, but overall he knows Garrick would do anything for her. And he is very glad it's Garrick. He's been there since day one of them knowing each other, so he's watched their entire friendship form and develop into something more. So even though we get a few moments of him being grossed out (Part 20 - "what did I say about the silencing wards!"), he is very happy for the two of them. Though after they find out she is alive there are a few moments between Garrick and Xaden of "pull it together and go tell her how you feel" and Xaden being done with them avoiding each other. And don't be sorry, I love going into this kind of thing. So if there is anything else, please don't hesitate to ask! My brain is full of behind the scenes details.

Kinktober MasterList
A soft knock on my door lets me know he’s here, and I can’t help but smile as I bound over to the door and open it to reveal Brennan leaning against to doorway running his thumb across his chin. A tell tale sign he was nervous or overworked. As soon as his eyes meet mine, I see him visibly relax. The weight of everything going on being lifted from his shoulders.
I reach out and grab his hand, dragging him into my room. He swiftly kicks it closed behind him before quickly pulling me into a hug, resting his head in the crook of my neck. It had been a tough few days with most of the riders from Basgiath now here in Aretia. And due to it we hadn’t been able to do our usual meet ups.
”I’m sorry.” He mumbles into my shoulder as he tightens his grip on me a little.
”Don’t be. It’s been an intense week for you.” I reassure him as I wrap my arms around him.
”I know, but I could have really used our time together.” He says in a defeated tone before stepping back and looking at me. “I’ve snapped at way too many people this week.”
”Well lets make the most of tonight then,” I whisper slyly, a smirk pulling at the corners of his mouth.
I reach out and grab his hand, pulling him backwards towards my bed in the centre of the room. Brennan who usually takes his time is quick to step forward, hands grasping the bottom of my shirt and pulling it over my head before pulling at the ties on my flight pants. I barely step out of them before his lips are on mine, devouring mine in a passionate kiss. It’s as if he’s pouring all the pent up emotions from the last week into the kiss. It was a stark contrast to how gentle and slow he usually was, but I wasn’t complaining. It had been a while since I’d had some rougher intimacy. The last time being a few months ago in Samara before I was attacked. Though I had been with that rider recently, but it had been oddly different to our previous times. Brennan pulls me from my thoughts as his hands grasp my thighs, picking me up before turning and placing me on my desk as I wrap my legs around him to pull him closer. He grumbles as I break this kiss to pull his shirt over his head.
”Someone’s impatient tonight.” I tease as I throw his shirt to the floor.
”I haven’t had you in a week. Forgive me if I’m a little needy love.” He almost growls back, my eyes widening at the tone in his voice.
I reach up to pull his lips down to mine, but the door banging open has us breaking apart as both our heads whip towards the person in the door way. For a moment we all stare at each other in shock. The two boys staring at each other, realising who the other guy I had mentioned now was. Then me, staring at the new addition in shock as tonight was not a night I would see him.
”Him?” Garrick finally asks, raising an eyebrow as he waves a hand towards Brennan.
”Tonight isn’t one of your nights.” I say bluntly causing a scowl to form on Garrick’s face.
I lightly push on Brennan to step back, but he barely budges. Holding his ground as if claiming his territory. And as I look up at his face I can see he’s angry. His jaw ticking as he continues to stare at Garrick. My attempt at pushing Brennan back brings Garrick’s attention to the rest of me, his scowl depending as his eyes trail over me, taking in the red lacey underwear I had chosen today just for Brennan. A set Garrick also very much enjoyed seeing on me.
Garrick kicks the door closed behind him before starting to walk over to me. Brennan is quick to react and steps into his path, and I swear I hear Garrick growl at Brennan. As tense as the room was right now, I couldn’t help but be slightly turned on at the two men squaring off in regards to me.
”It’s not your night Tavis.” Brennan snaps at him. “Leave.”
Garrick just chuckles at Brennan as he looks down at him. “True, but she was mine first. You’re just here to fill a void while she wasn’t with me. And now I’m back. So why don’t you run back to your little throne room.”
I watch as Brennan’s hand tightens into a fist, practically feeling the anger roll off him as he does his best to keep his temper at bay. I’d never seen him like this. I’d never seen Garrick like this with Brennan, the two usually getting along. But something about me had riled these two up. I push myself off the desk, rushing between the two to try and calm them down. But as I step between them they barely notice me, still completely focused on each other.
”Stop it, both of you.” I snap at them, despite the fact I was slightly turned on by them fighting over me. “Garrick, you can come back tomorrow.”
He scoffs at me, “I’m not being his sloppy seconds.”
”Trust me, you wont be after I’m done with her.” Brennan replies smugly.
Garrick reacts immediately, trying to push past me to get at him, but comes up short when I flick my hand and conjure a force field with my signet. As he bounces back Brennan chuckles behind me clearly amused at what I’ve done, but also thinking he’s won as he places a hand on my arm which I shrug off.
”As hot as it is to have you two fight over me, you two need to grow up.” I look between the both of them. Brennan who looks disheartened, and Garrick who has a damn smirk on his face.
”Seems you find it really hot.” Garrick muses as his eyes flicker down to my underwear.
I glance down and see a notable wet patch on them. Clearly I was more aroused by these two than I thought. And now Garrick had noticed, and drawn attention to it. Brennan leaning around to see what he’s looking at. I go to place my hands over it to try and hide it, but Garrick is quick to step forward and grasp my wrists in his larger hands.
”Don’t hide it sweetheart.” The way Garrick smiles down at me, looks at me with lust filled eyes has my heart rate pick up in anticipation, cheeks heating with slight embarrassment.
”Get your hands off her Tavis. She’s mine for the night.” Brennan demands, stepping forward and placing his hands on my shoulders as he stands behind me.
I turn, putting them on either side of me as I look between them. “What if there was another option?” My voice shaking slightly as I lay out another option that has worked its way into my mind.
”What do you mean another option?” Brennan asks, brow furrowing as he looks down at me in confusion.
I reach out, laying a hand in the middle of both their chests, both them looking down as I trail them slowly down till my fingers hook into the waistband of their pants. I feel both of them tense and suck in a sharp breath as they realise what the other option was.
Brennan is quick to shake his head, clearly unsure of the option now laid out for him. “I am not sharing with him.”
Garrick chuckles at him as he steps closer to me, his hand trailing up and down my back slightly making me shiver. “Scared I’ll show you up Sorrengail?”
Garrick’s words must awaken something in Brennan who seems to change his mind in an instant as he also steps forward now, his hand mimicking Garrick’s movements on the other side. Brennan trails his hand up to my shoulder, grasping it before turning me to face him, pushing me backwards till my back meets Garrick’s chest. I try to look him in the eye but Brennan grasps my face in his hands, his lips quickly meeting mine in a passionate kiss. I hadn’t expected him to go ahead with his, but there was something behind this kiss, with how fiercely he was kissing me that suggested there was some want behind this.
As I wrap my arms around Brennan’s neck to deepen the kiss, I feel Garrick’s hands skim over my back before quickly unhooking my bra. I was glad I had chosen one with removeable straps, not needing to remove my arms from around Brennan’s neck before Garrick unhooks the straps, causing the material to fall to the floor before I quickly kick it away. Brennan groans as my now naked breasts push up against his bare chest as I pull him closer.
Clearly not wanting to be left out, Garrick’s hands reach beneath my legs, his large fingers rubbing lightly over my underwear, causing me to moan into the kiss with Brennan. My legs shaking with anticipation as Garrick applies more pressure to my clit, rubbing small circles over the bundle of nerves. I silently curse how well Garrick knows my body. At how he knows exactly what to do to get me spiralling closer to my climax. Within seconds I tear my mouth from Brennan’s as my body starts quivering, my mouth open in a silent moan as Garrick applies more pressure.
Garrick reaches over me, shoving Brennan’s shoulder causing him to stumble back into the desk, bracing his hands on the edge of the desk. I start to fall forward as my arms fall from Brennan’s neck, but Garrick wraps his free arm around my hips, causing me to bend at the hips, my hands bracing on Brennan’s hips, pinning him in place.
”Now why don’t you be a good girl and take the Lieutenant Colonel in your mouth darling?” Garrick whispers in my ear before placing light kisses down my neck, his fingers now moving from my clit to tease my entrance.
I look up at Brennan who smiles lazily at me before nodding at me and leaning back fully on the desk, his lust filled eyes watching me intently as I start undoing the ties of his pants. A shudder runs through his body as my fingers skim across his lower abdomen. He raises his hips as I attempt to tug them down, but due to how Garrick is holding me I don’t get very far. He chuckles lightly at my attempts before grasping the material in his hands and pulling them from his legs.
He barely steps out of them before I lean in, placing soft kisses along the length. “Bloody hell.” He gasps out, his hand grasping the back of my head tightly as I take him fully in my mouth, closing my lips around his length. Slowly I work up and down his length, moaning slightly as his hand tightens in my hair.
My yelp is muffled by Brennan’s cock in my mouth as Garrick finally inserts his fingers inside me, stretching me wide as he works them in and out. The motion causing me to rock back and forth on Brennan’s cock, taking him further than I intend as he hits the back of my throat.
”That’s it, just like that darling. Taking him so well.” Garrick purrs from behind me as he adds another finger to the mix, causing me to moan loudly around Brennan’s cock, the vibrations causing Brennan to gasp loudly.
”Shit,” Brennan curses. “Keep that up Tavis.”
Garrick picks up the pace in response to his words to the point I can barely focus on Brennan, but he’s quick to pick up on this, rocking his hips back and forth as I moan around his cock as my body starts quivering.
My walls flutter around Garrick’s fingers. “You’re so close darling, can feel it. You going to come around my fingers? Come undone as you moan around his cock?”
My reply is muffled by Brennan’s cock, but Garrick must take my muffled response as a yes. His fingers curling to hit the perfect spot, while his other hand reaches down and rubs lazy circles on my clit which has me coming undone immediately. My legs shaking as succumb to my pleasure, my moans causing Brennan to meet his end as well as he holds me flush against him.
I gasp for air as Brennan steps back, before a whimper escapes my lips as he wraps his arms around me and pulls me against him, causing Garrick’s fingers to leave me.
”It’s ok sweetheart, were not done with you yet.” He reassures me as his hands trace along the back of my thighs before picking me up.
I wrap my legs around his waist as he leads me over to the bed, straddling him as he lays down beneath me. Despite just finishing himself, I can feel Brennan is already ready to go, his cock twitching beneath me as I lazily grind back and forth. Behind me I can hear the familiar sounds of flight gear hitting the floor with a soft thud. I turn to head to look at him but Brennan is quick to grasp my head, turning my gaze back to him as he rolls his hips into mine, his tip pushing inside of me. My eyes flutter close at the feeling of him pushing slowly inside of me, a soft moan escaping my lips as I brace my hands on his chest as he slowly thrusts in and out. My walls fluttering around his cock at the slow movement.
A rough hand grazes up and down my back before I feel Garrick’s chest brush against my back as he stands behind me between Brennan’s legs. I gasp as his lips place gentle kisses along my shoulder as his hands massage my hips, while Brennan’s hands and reach up and massage my breasts. Gods did this feel amazing. No part of me was left untouched as the two men fought for my attention.
Garrick’s hands trail up my back before softly pushing on my shoulder, pushing me down to lie on Brennan’s chest which he welcomes eagerly. Brennan’s lips meeting mine in a passionate kiss which I quickly let him control as I let myself be at the mercy of the men I’m between.
”Such a beautiful ass,” Garrick growls as his hands knead and squeeze the flesh before landing a firm smack causing me to moan into the kiss.
Moments later another smack echoes around the room causing me to jolt forward against Brennan, his cock hitting deep inside as with both moan heavily into the kiss as Garrick goes back to kneading my ass. As if the two men are in sync, they match their movements perfectly. Garrick gripping onto my hips and pulling me down onto Brennan as he thrust up into me. Each thrust hitting deep inside as I moan and quiver against Brennan.
I barely notice Garrick’s hand moving before a his fingers are circling gently around my tight hole as if testing a boundary. A boundary we’ve never needed to cross or explore. And one I honestly never thought I would. But as his fingers keep testing the boundary, I can’t help but moan and try to push my hips back against his fingers while Brennan continues to thrust up into me.
”You up for a challenge darling?” He purrs into my neck before kissing down my neck.
I turn my head to look into Garrick’s blown out hazel eyes. I know if I say no he won’t push me further, but I can see just like myself he wants to try this. That we both just want to loose ourselves in the moment of this once in a life time moment. Because this would not be happening again.
Seeing the want in my eyes he pushes a finger in. “Oh, fuck. Y-yes.” I gasp out, earning a chuckle from Garrick who kisses down my back before standing up again as I grasp onto Brennan like he’s my anchor.
Brennan reaches up, his fingers caressing along my jaw as he focuses my attention on him, clearly clued in on what Garrick is about to do. What we’re all about to do. “Just focus on me sweetheart.”
Too scared to talk all I can do is nod at Brennan as I lean into his touch and place a kiss to his palm before he pulls me back into a kiss, one much softer and gentler than the previous ones. But its enough to keep my focus as I feel Garrick move behind me. I can’t help but tense as I feel him move his fingers before positioning himself.
”You’re such a good girl,” He praises from behind me as he caresses my lower back to get me to relax.
As soon as my body relaxes Garrick rolls his hips against me, pushing into the tight hole. I pull back from Brennan’s kiss as I suck in a sharp breath at the unnatural feeling.
”You’re doing so good sweetheart.” Brennan murmurs into my neck as I bury my head into his.
This was a feeling like no other. Being stretched open my the two of them. An odd sense of pain and pleasure. But as each second goes by, the pleasure slowly but surely takes over the pain. By the time Garrick is fully inside I’m quivering and moaning between them. Not trusting my words I angle my head to look up at the two men either side of me, giving them the nod they need to know I’m ok.
A whimper escapes my lips as they start to thrust in an out. At first its awkward, neither of them matching their thrusts. But after a few awkward attempts they manage to sync up and gods did it feel amazing. Soon I’m a panting mess between them. Their hands roaming, grasping anywhere they can in an effort to claim me.
”Fuck, so tight darling.” Garrick slurs from behind me, a telltale sign of his he was getting close as he grips me hips tighter in an effort to anchor himself. “So proud of you darling, taking us so well.”
”Please…” I pant out, barely managing to form words as I feel the familar coil building inside me as I start to quiver between the two men.
As Brennan looks into my eyes, he must see what I want, see how close I am as he picks up his pace, hips slamming into mine causing me to rock back harder onto Garrick who in turn grips my hips so tightly I’m sure they’re going to bruise.
Strangled noises escape my lips as both men thrust deep inside of me before I shatter between them. Both men quickly follow behind me as their hips stutter, loud groans echoing around the room as they meet their end. Garrick is the first to move, rolling to the side as he removes himself from me, hips grip on my hips causing Brennan and I to roll onto our sides. Both men drapping their arms lazily over me as we all take a moment to catch our breaths.
”Well that was…” Garrick starts before losing his train of thought.
”Amazing.” I pant out.
”And never happening again,” Brennan adds, his body tensing at his words.
I can practically feel Garrick roll his eyes from behind me, “Way to ruin a good thing Sorrengail.”
The two men quickly fall into a round of bickering as I roll my eyes at them before blocking them out as I relax into their embrace, enjoying the last moments of being in the arms of both of them.

Black Dahlia - 17. Jealousy
Summary: Xaden and Garrick get their squads together to train, leading to some jealousy with someone unexpected.
A/N: I'm so sorry for the long delay on Dahlia. Kinktober took priority, but we are back in full force. I wrote so many parts in the last 24 hours for this, and I can't wait for you guys to see what I'm building up to in a few parts! Garrick Tavis x OC (Dahlia Aetos)
Black Dahlia Masterlist | Masterlist
“I don’t know why you won’t give him a chance.” Liz says in an airy tone.
I turn to see her staring at Garrick and Xaden who have gone shirtless for their sparring warm up. And she wasn’t the only one. There were more cadets here than normal for our night training session. Since bonding dragons it seemed a lot of the first years were wanting to make sure they kept their seat. And every single girl in the room was starting at them.
I can’t help but let my eyes wander as I look over at them. Garrick was by far the most muscular guy in the quadrant. As if every muscle had been carved from stone. I shake my head in attempt to get those thoughts out of my head before turning back to watch Imogen spar with another first year.
“I won’t give him a chance, because he won’t give me a chance.” I reply bitterly.
“I mean, can you blame the guy? You’ve seen how your brother and father treat the other marked ones.” Liz murmurs, still lost in a trance as she watches them spar.
“I am not my brother and my father.” I nearly snap at her, my typical anger rising to the surface at being compared to them.
“Trust me, we know. Even if you were an angsty bitch when we first met you.” Austin teases from my other side, dodging my attempt to shove her away.
“Thanks? Not sure if that was a compliment or an insult.” I say as I narrow my eyes at her slightly.
”Let’s go with both.” Bodhi says as he walks over and joins us, Garrick and Xaden close behind him.
I keep my eyes focused on Bodhi as I jokingly glare at him, but out of the corner of my eye I feel Garrick staring at me. Ever since our interaction in the hallway I’d felt his eyes on me more. Almost as if challenging me to take the bait he’d laid out the other day. Which I was not. Yes I could admit he was attractive, especially while he stood there shirtless with his freaking muscles on full display as they glisten with a slight sheen of sweat. But even if I did get along with him, I was not becoming another notch in his bed post.
”Alright everyone, pair up with someone and start going through some weapon practice.” Xaden advises as he looks over us.
Tonight both his and Garrick’s squads were training together. Apparently a good way to broaden our training by going up against people we didn’t really know. Naturally Imogen tagged along even though she wasn’t in either squad. She made a habit of turning up whenever we were here. She kept saying it was coincidence, but I was starting to think it really wasn’t. Our squads start pairing off, Liz and Austin pairing up as if on auto pilot. They worked well together as they were a similar skill level, often complaining Bodhi and I were too difficult to go up against.
I go to follow Bodhi, but a large figure steps into my path and I’m forced to look up at Garrick. ”How about you and I pair up little Aetos?” His voice laced with a mocking tone as he looks down at me.
I roll my eyes and scoff at him. “No thanks, wouldn’t want to catch something from being too close to you.” I snap back, causing Bodhi and Imogen to snicker at my comment, Xaden’s eyes going wide as he looks between us.
”You’re just scared I’ll finally show you up.” He mocks, arms crossing over his chest as he cocks his head to the side.
An idea forms in my head. A stupid idea. And I silently hope he doesn’t follow through with it as the words leave my mouth. “If you’re so confident about that maybe you should challenge me once challenges start back up. Unless you’re scared I’ll prove you wrong again?”
Another round of snickers pick up around us, Garrick’s brow furrowing as he glares down at me. Clearly me proving him wrong all those weeks ago was still a sore spot for him, and I couldn’t help but smirk at him before pushing past him and dragging Bodhi with me.
”You know he’s going to end up doing that and he’s going to kick your ass in front of everyone?” Bodhi whispers as I lead us over to a spot on the far side of the room.
”He’s not going to kick my ass in front of everyone.” I throw back at him as I grab a sword from the weapons rack.
I turn around to see Bodhi looking at me like I’m an idiot. “Clearly you don’t know him very well, or you’re delusional on the size difference between you two.”
”And he also doesn’t know me very well.” I point out, Bodhi eyeing the sword I’m waving around cautiously as if worried I’m going to hurt him or myself with it.
”Maybe if you-”
”Nope, not happening.” I say before settling into a fighting stance.
Bodhi clearly takes it as a sign this conversation wasn’t going any further, his shoulders sagging in defeat before walking over to grab his own sword. As soon as he settles into a fighting stance I launch myself at him, Bodhi flailing to keep up with me. Each of my strikes fuelled with the hint of anger that had risen to the surface from my interaction with Garrick and words with Bodhi.
Bodhi didn’t deserve how hard I was going at him, but I needed to let out my frustrations somehow. Everyone was so adamant I give the lumbering oaf a chance. But why should I when he wouldn’t give me one? Since the day I’d walked across the parapet, he’d made up his mind about me. Had lumped me in with my brother and father without even a second thought.
Poor Bodhi is quick to succumb to my attacks, my leg kicking his out from beneath him as he falls to the floor with a loud thud as his sword clangs loudly on the ground as I point the tip of mine at his neck.
Bodhi just shakes his head and laughs. “Remind me to never piss you off again.”
”You’ll be fine.” I tease as I move my sword from his neck as I hold out my free hand to him.
He grasps his around mine before pushing off the ground to help me pull him up. Clearly still wobbly from his fall he stumbles into me as he rights himself, causing him and I to laugh at his clumsiness.
“You sure? I nearly just made a fool of myself by nearly sending us plummeting to the floor.”
”Wouldn’t be the first time you’ve made a fool of yourself.”
Bodhi laughs as he playfully shoves me away before releasing my hand and heading over to get a drink of water from his pack. As he moves my eyes fall on Garrick who hasn’t moved an inch, except to turn and look over at us. But for once his glare and eyes aren’t trained on me. They’re focused on Bodhi. And it almost looks like he wants to murder him.

Your Boys: Reader is Bodhi's younger sister x Garrick????? X Liam????
Your Boys
Prompt: Please Please Please Don't Leave me Please.
Prompt was given by: @a-cure-for-writers-block
This fic is a part of the #Fourthwingbirthdaybash thanks to @skyfallscotland
Reader is Bodhi Durran’s younger sister X Liam Mairi? X Garrick Tavis?
Synopsis: You loved Garrick, you had a relationship with him before he left for Basgiath that ended before he left thinking it would be easier for the both of you. This caused you to grow closer to a certain friend in your life and you did have a friend with benefits relationship with Liam which started around winter solstice the first year that Gare had left. When a certain injury be folds into your life it makes you realize one of the true feels for one of them. But which one?
P.s. this is the fic I based on the poll I did a few weeks ago where Liam won.
Trigger Warnings:” Break up”, Unconsciousness due to injury, Swearing, angsty and fluffy! (I think that's it?)
***Your POV***
“You have this.” Liam soothed you as you got ready to spar Jack Barlow. You sighed heavily resting your head on his shoulder. “He's only been trying to get his hands on one of us since he saw you and I in the line for the parapet in the beginning of the year and with me being Bodhi’s younger sister I’m his perfect target. “You're strong, you have this. Will have our date later tonight.” Liam soothed as you heard Professor Emettiro yell “ Y/N Durran, Barlow, you're up.” I sighed leaving Liams side and glancing across the room where Garrick, Xaden and Bodhi stood against the wall all with arms crossed against their chest; expressions unreadable but knew they were ready to protect you at all costs.
You stepped onto the mat watching Jack Barlow do the same. Both of you started to pace the mat and size each other up. Jack had made the first move and grabbed for your braid. You hissed as he took you down with the sudden jolt. “I’ve been waiting to get my hands on one of you marked bastards.” He hissed that you took everything in you to lift your knee up and aim for his most sensitive part of his body. Jack jumped back at the sudden contact giving you some space between. You went to close the gap, but Jack was stronger and had a good two feet of height on you as he slammed you onto the mate on your back and that was the last you remembered as you heard your brother frantically yell “She yields.” before you had blacked out on the mat.
You woke up in the infirmary, not sure how long you had been out. You felt a strong grip on your hand and tried to sit up as you hissed through the pain; your head throbbing “Hey, hey don’t you even try.” Garrick said softly standing up and putting a hand on your shoulder to help you ease back down, you patted the side of your bed and scooched over slightly as he gave you a questioning look. “I should go before Liam comes back.” He said softly, looking away from you. You shook your head “Stay please. Also how long was I out.” Garrick sighed sitting down on the bed next you, it had been years since you two had any time alone like this. “It’s been five days.” He said softly. “Jack?” You asked curiously. “He took a pretty good beating from the four of us.” Garrick chuckled as you laid your head on his shoulder.
You could feel his sigh as you did so, but that didn't stop him from running his fingers through your hair and kissing your forehead. You smiled softly at his touch.” I missed this.” You said softly. Before Garrick had left for Basgiath you had been dating for three years; somehow managing to keep those years quite, but you had started to drift away from each a few weeks before he and Xaden had to attend Basgiath knowing that that would be easier then the pain of being away from each other. This was the first time since you started this year that you and Garrick really had a chance to talk and a month had already crossed since you crossed the parapet.
“Thought you would have fallen in love with Liam by now.” He said softly as you leaned into him and shook your head against his chest. “I mean sure friends with benefits but nothing more at least for me. He was never you. Extreme polar Opposite of you actually. What about you? Any girls find their way into your room?” Not that you wanted to know but you had to and honestly you couldn't blame him for you and Liam had messed around many times. You felt his chest rise as he sighed. “A few. Even Imogen once. But they weren't you, not even close.” he admitted softly and ran his fingers through your hair. “God's, I've missed you. Missed this.” You sighed leaning into his muscular chest. Gare chuckled softly and you could feel the light vibrations in his chest. You smiled up at him and smirked cupping his cheek. “Are you ready for Boh’s rath?” Garrick smirked; “Your brother doesn’t scare me Durran; I have more muscles then he does.” At that you let out a soft giggle and pulled his face down to meet yours; your lips finding each other.
You both become so wrapped up in each other's touch and the pure bliss of having each other again that you didn’t realize the door to your infirmary room was now open. Between the door frame stood a speechless Liam Mairi.
*** Liam’s POV***
Liam wasn’t sure how long he stood there watching the two of you before he could talk. He knew Y/N and Garrick had a past but he had thought that ship had long since sailed, especially with how he and the girl had grown closer to each other in the older boy's absence. But then again he and Y/N had always been close but the thoughts contradicted in his head as he also realized you and Garrick had always been close. Liam was beginning to love you more than the friends with benefits relationship you had and he cursed to himself as he thought you had started to develop the same feelings. Liam finally got the courage to speak as the two were still deep in their reunion; “What in the actual fucking hell is going on?” The two before him instantly parted but Y/N still leaned into Garrick’s side. “Liam.” The girl started to plead. “I’m glad to see you're finally awake again. Garrick and I had been taking shifts checking in on you. I see he managed to get the right one.” Liam said in a sharp and salty tone fist clenched at his side and leaning on the door frame to support himself.
“Liam-” she started to say softly again he could see the tears that were rimming her eyes and threatening to escape. “I thought you had gotten over him?” I snapped a little too sharply at the glare I had received from Garrick shot stone cold in my direction. She shook her head softly and buried herself into Garrick’s chest. It was in that moment where I felt my entire world collapse around me. I hadn’t realized what Bodhi’s younger sister was starting to mean to me until I felt her slip away as I dropped to my knees beside her bed. I took her other hand in mine that was engulfed by Garrick’s much larger hand, even larger than mine. She looked at me longingly and tried to pull away as I squeezed tighter and managed to spit out a very stammered and staggered “Please please please don't leave me please.” “I’m so sorry Liam.” She whispered softly barely audible as she inched herself further away from me and closer to Garrick as if that was even possible for her. “I thought we were starting to fall in love with each other and you're leaving me for Garrick?” I stammered, stepping back on my last thread of strength. I saw her shake her head again, tears steadily falling as Garrick whipped a finger across her cheek. Y/N finally spoke, and the words were like daggers to my heart “I thought I was truly Liam, but then being reunited with Garrick this year. I- we realized how much we truly missed each other. I’m so sorry Li. I was going to talk to two days ago, but then that match with Barlowe happened and then this.” Your words cut like ice. I decided to try my luck another time with another “ “Please please please don't leave me please.” With another shake of your head and a glance down towards your lap and Garrick whipping more tears away; “I’m sorry Liam; I truly wished this wasn’t how you found out.” And with that I couldn’t respond and walked out of the infirmary room and slammed the door behind me and bumped into Bodhi almost knocking him over on the way out. “Woh Mairi, slow the fuck down. Care to talk about it?” “Fuck off Durran.” I hissed and shoved him in the shoulder out of the way and made my way to the flight and needed a good flight with Deigh to clear my mind.
***Your POV***
You sighed leaning back into Gare’s chest as he wrapped his arms around you. Your first thought shouldn’t have been this but “Was I really out for two days?” you asked softly. You felt Gare’s chin nod on the top of your head; “Two long days and don’t worry Boh, Xad and I already got back at Barlowe.” You sighed and shook your head at the thought of the three most protective boys in your life; your brother, your cousin and your boyfriend sticking up for their girl once more. “What the hell is up with Mairi?” You bother stammering into the room looking at Garrick and not realizing that you were awake yet. “Oh, thank the Gods you're finally awake.” he sighed giving you a hug; “So what’s up with Mair?” “He kind of walked in on Gare and I kissing each other.” You sighed, still feeling bad that that was how he found out. “Back with my sister Tavis?” Boh smirked. “You knew?” you asked, taken back slightly by the sudden statement out of your brother’s mouth. Bodhi chuckled “Of course I did. We all did, you two really thought you were being that subtle before Garrick left?” Bodhi was about dying with a hand clasped over his chest. “Oh, shut up Durra.” Gare snickered still holding you tightly. “What the hell is up with Mairi?” your cousin asked, now joining the room. “Oh, you're finally awake Y/N.” Xaden smiled, giving you a hug just like your brother who was still laughing his head off. “What the hell is wrong with you?” Xaden asked, looking at your brother. “These two actually thought they were hiding a relationship from us before they split when you and Gare left to come here” Boh said through a fit of giggles looking at Xaden. “So, you're back together, is that what's wrong with Mairi?” Gare spoke for you this time before you could even muster a response “He walked in on us kissing. I think he was starting to develop feelings when Y/N wasn’t returning the same.” “I still feel bad about him walking in on us and finding out that way.” You sighed. Your brother grabbed onto the other hand that Gare wasn’t holding as Xaden walked around and stood by the top of your bed and placed a hand on your shoulder. Your brother was the first one to say “We’ll talk to him. We will all get through this, and this isn’t going to put a wrinkle in our group. Sure, he's going to be pissed for a while and probably won’t speak to you and Garrick for a while, but you’ll always have the three of us supporting you. All at the same time you felt your brother and Garrick squeeze each hand they were holding, and you felt your cousin tighten and squeeze your shoulder lightly in reassurance. You weren't exactly sure how your relationship with Liam was going to progress; but you knew that you would always have the three boys that meant the most to you by your side protecting you through anything. In this moment you were never more grateful to have your boyfriend, older brother and cousin by your side and couldn’t help but bury your head in Garrick’s chest and let your tears fall. They weren’t sad tears necessarily but tears of contentment and reassurance as you took in the rare moment of the three of you together where you actually got peace and quiet. I felt Garrick wipe your tear and you let yourself mumble out a soft “I love you all.” As you yawned. “Rest little one. We are here and not going anywhere.” Gare said soothingly as you drifted off into sleep let your body get its rest that it still needed surrounded by the people that you loved the most in life. They would do anything for you, and you would do anything for them in return, that is if they let you.

The denial is real with this one 🙄😏
Black Dahlia - 15. Proven Wrong (Garrick POV)
The rest of the quadrant await the arrival of the newly bonded riders. And one rider is a little more anxious than they would like to admit over a certain Aetos.
Set Pre Fourth Wing/Books
Garrick Tavis x OC (Dahlia Aetos)
Black Dahlia Masterlist | Masterlist
It was getting late. The sun starting to set in the sky. Most of the cadets, now riders, had returned with dragons. The flight field looking vastly fuller than it had this morning when we’d gotten into formation no long after the dragons willing to bond had taken flight. And I was itching to get back to the dorms and take a shower. Even though it was starting to get cooler, standing in the sun for most of the day in black flight leathers was not ideal.
There was only a few dragons left to come back. With how full the first year side was, I’d hazard a guess at twenty still yet to return. But as my gaze sweeps over the first years in front of us, I can’t help but notice someone missing from Xaden’s squad. The only one missing from his squad. The one everyone was so sure would be one of the first ones back. But she was nowhere to be seen. I lift my gaze, scanning the horizon for any glimpse of blue scales, or that damn brown hair of hers that reminded me of chocolate.
Hot air fans over me as Chradh chuckles behind me. “For someone so adamant they don’t harbour any feelings towards her, you do seem to be making some interesting notes about her apperance.”
I turn my head to glare at him, and want to punch the smug look he has on his face as he stares down at me. “I don’t have any feelings for her. I hate her. Despise her. She means nothing to me.”
”Right. So what do I get when I say I told you so?”
I roll my eyes at him before turning my head back around to scan the horizon, catching Xaden looking at me with a smug look similar to Chradh’s.
”What?” I snap at him.
He chuckles before shaking his head at me. “Oh nothing, it’s just hilarious watching you constantly watching the horizon. Especially considering all your squad is back and safe.”
”Just curious to see who else comes back.” I tell him sternly, not wanting to deal with him also pushing my buttons over her.
”Sure, and that’s why your gaze keeps flickering to my squad. My squad which is only missing one member.” He says smuggly as he continues to smirk at me.
I swear between him, Bodhi, Imogen and Chradh I was going to snap and punch one of them soon. Any time I was near her or briefly looked in her direction they would make a comment. A comment that wasn’t necessary. She meant nothing to me. She was the daughter of our enemy.
”I know what you’re implying. I’m not looking for her, I couldn’t careless if she makes it back alive or not.” I tell him, my heart rate slightly picking up with the thought of her not coming back.
No. I did not care about her. Didn’t care if she made it back alive or dead. Though part of me wishes it was another Aetos we were waiting to come back. Across the field stood Dain with his newly acquired red dragon, looking way too happy with himself.
”Well good, because if you don’t care she’s back.” He says with a shrug.
My head snaps upwards at his words, and sure enough flying towards us is a large sapphire blue dragon. It’s size definitely rivalling that of Sgaeyl’s. Something I’m definitely sure she doesn’t like as she huffs and turns her head. I already know who sits atop its back as it lands, but I can’t help but look to confirm. Her familiar brown her catching the light as she jumps from his back.
As she turns around to start her walk down to the roll keeper I can’t help the anger that simmers through me at the blood that stains her face and some of her neck. My hands balling into fists at my side. There is no denying the blood is hers, most likely from her nose. It doesn’t look to be broken, but she has started to bruise. My face must giveaway my anger as she glares at me when her eyes meet mine before turning away from Xaden and I.
”You look like you want to murder someone for the blood she has on her.” He drawls next to me.
”I do not. I’m fine.” I snap back a little too aggressively as I unclench my fists.
”I’ve seen corpses more fine than you are right now.” He mutters sarcastically from next to me.
I roll my eyes at him before turning my head to the front where she joins the line waiting for the roll keeper. As she takes her place the Colonel stands from his seat, moving to stand just behind the roll keeper. Even from here I can see her shoulders tense as she watches him. That was definitely not a normal for reaction someone should have towards a parent. Hell we’d watched him walk towards Dain afterwards and clap him on the back and congratulating him. But this was different. Very different.
She takes her place in front of the roll keeper, ready to give the name of the large dragon in front of me. I can’t hear her, but I know when she says his name. The Colonels face shifting into one of pure anger and hatred. A far cry from the way he had looked at Dain when he had told his dragons name. As she turns and walks away I can see the smirk on her face, clearly proud of whatever blow she has dealt her father. Only solidifying Bodhi’s words of her knowing her dragon. Because it is clear her father also knows this dragon, and as I look over at Dain I know he does to. This dragon meant something to all of them.
I hear Xaden suck in a sharp breath and turn my gaze back to her to see the Colonel marching towards her and grabbing her by the arm to turn her back to him. I involuntarily step forward, ready to stalk down to her before a hand clamps onto my own arm. All I can do is stand there and watch as we watch whatever it is unfolds. And clearly we’re the only ones who are watching this go down as no one else turns to watch them.
She finally manages to get her arm out of his grip, stepping back to put distance between them. He quickly goes to close it again, but his head snaps up as something moves out of the corner of my eye. The blue dragon she has now bonded steps out of formation and moves to the middle of the field, eyeing off the Colonel that is clearly threatening his rider. With a fleeting glare at his daughter, he turns and makes his way back to his heat.
”Well that was fucking interesting.” Xaden utters next to me as the whole flight field looks between Dahlia and her dragon.
I nod my head in agreeance as I watch her make her way back to her dragon, not sparing a glance at anyone. She was fucking interesting for sure. And she was definitely starting to prove me wrong in more ways than one.

My inbox is always open for requests, or even if you want to talk about my writing! Always happy to hear from you guys! If you want to see what I have already written please head over to my masterlist! I do my best to keep this as up to date as I can. But this is the best place to see what other fics and styles I have written. Be as vague or specific as you want with your requests! If there is something specific you want out of your request give me all the details! If you want to give me a prompt or scenario you've read in another book or tik tok etc, let me know and I will do what I can! Or be as vague as you want and let my imagination run wild! I am comfortable written fluff, angst and smut. I am pretty comfortable writing most things, but I would prefer to avoid any topics of sexual assault and self harm. I am fine to allude to it, but I will not base any fics around it. Besides that get as smutty or angsty as you want (I am not held responsible for how angsty I may get). Below are characters I am comfortable writing for, but feel free to suggest or request others. Just keep in mind if it is a character not listed below I may not do the prompt, or it may take me a while to get to. Also feel free to pick multiple, who honestly.... why choose if you don't have to. FOURTH WING: Garrick Tavis. Bodhi Durran. Brennan Sorrengail. Xaden Riorson. Dain Aetos. Liam Mairi. Little One Part 2: Garrick Tavis X OC
Trigger Warnings: Some angsty moments between Amber and her ex. NSFW and Swearing.
Word Count: 1201.
Garrick’s POV
I could feel her tension ease as we melted into a kiss once more as we both undressed each other, our lips barely parting. I laid her on the mat as she traced my full relic with her soft fingertips, my finger working soft circles on her clit as my tip brushed against her entrance. “Garrrre.” she breathed as my tongue now circled her swollen clit. I smiled against “Yeah my sweet, beautiful princess.” “Nee-, need you cock in me.” She said through raspy breaths. “So needy little one.” I chuckled and kissed her lips as I lined myself at her entrance. “AwweefffffuckkGarre.” She whimpered as I started to slowly thrust into her. “So tight for me still. Did Dain not fuck you good enough hm?” I asked, “Did Dain not what now?” Dain said in a raised voice. “Fuck.” she cursed sitting up and going to hide behind me as I grabbed for clothes. “Can I fucking help you Aetos?” I questioned.
Amber's POV
“What the fuck do you want Dain?” I asked also indicating that he could turn back around because he would never listen to Garrick unless it was a direct order. “I didn't see my girlfriend at dinner so I thought I’d.” he said pacing the floor. “Don’t fucking start with me Aetos. You know damn well you broke up with me. Don't starting acting like you fucking care now either when you've been avoiding me all damned year.” I said angrily noticing Garrick’s fingers never left mine. “I was worried when you missed dinner it's unlike you.” “She can handle her own Aetos.” Garrick said. “A fucking marked one?? You know what your father said to you.”
I lost it. “Fuck right off Dain. Garrick has name and last time I also checked his rank is above yours and if my father ever finds out about me and Garrick before it's necessary I swear to the fucking gods Dain you'll regret it.” “Give me one damned reason I shouldn't say anything?” Dain asked quietly. “Because if you even still truly cared about me as a friend, you'll do it by showing me that you can keep mine and Garrick’s relationship a secret.” “And how do I know she's safe with you?” Garrick scoffed as if Dain even had the right to question him. “One before she became my girlfriend she became my squad mate and two she's my fucking girlfriend Aetos and you dammed well better keep your mouth shut because this is Amber’’s place to tell her father and not yours and that's a direct order.” Dain opened his mouth like he was about to say something but then turned around and slammed the gym door.
“Fuck.” I cursed, rubbing my fingers across my forehead as I felt Garrick softly reach for my wrist. “I've got you.” He said pulling me into him. “Do you think he'll say anything?” “Not if he even values our friendship still.” I sighed my head buried into Garrick's chest. “So, my dick compared to Aetos?” Garrick chuckled as I smirked “Yours is the biggest dick I've had, well almost.” I sighed “How about I sneak you up to the third floor tonight and we finish what we started, but first we get what's left of dinner.” He said, placing a kiss on my forehead, we walked to the dinning hall together, Garrick falling a few paces behind as we got closer. I fixed a plate and sat down next to a few of my squad mates that were left.
Liam looking up from his current masterpiece looked at me and then noticed Garrick also just fixing his plate. “Don't even Mairi.” “Got it.” He smirked going back to work while I started to eat. “So when did that happen?” My best friend asked me, still not looking up from his work. “Li, it didn't.” I said quietly as Bodhi and Garrick now joined us. “Shouldn't one be sitting with leadership?” I asked Garrick as he sat on my other side. I saw the smirk form on his lips, “Squad bonding is more enforced then leadership roles.” “I knew it.” Liam smirked loud enough for our side of the table to hear as I elbowed him. Garrick let his hand touch my knee softly which I knew was his way of saying meet me upstairs before he got up and said goodnight to the rest of the group.
I waited a decent amount of time before I knew my friends were gonna leave “Goodnight.” I said standing up and getting ready to head out. “Yeah, have a good night.” Liam smirked as I slapped his shoulder. Liam and I by now weren't strangers to each other. We messed around after parapet but that was it. My way from the first to second floor was quiet. However my trip up second to third well: “and where are you going cadet Melgran?” Dain questioned “So that's it I'm just another cadet to you now? Our friendship before our relationship was nothing? I could also ask where you're coming from?” I questioned as Dain placed a soft hand on my shoulder, I wanted to push away even to turn away but I didn't. “The same place where you're headed.”
“Dain what the hell did you just do?” I questioned. He was silent before pulling me into a hug, “Just making sure you are really safe before I decide what I'm gonna do.” “Dain it's Garrick and for the love of God I swear if my father hears about this before I mention anything, Garrick will know whose name to give to Chradh to turn to char.” “Relax. I'm not going to say anything, I do still care about you and I'm sorry I've been distant. I was actually going to find you to get back together. But I sense that ship has sailed and believe it or not I'm happy for you. I've actually seen how you two have been looking at each other all year, I was just hoping I wasn't too late.”
“Dain.” I sighed “Everything good?” Garrick asked, stopping a few steps just above Dain. “Everything's good.” Dain said, continuing back down the stairs as Garrick wrapped his arm around my waist. “Aren't you worried someone's going to you know?” I said quietly. “Between the steps and the 5 feet to my door, fuck ‘em.” Garrick said. “What did Dain say to you exactly?” I asked as he sat on his bed and pulled me onto his lap. “If you are wondering about him wanting to get back together with you, I made it clear as day he better fuck off.” As there was a knock-on Garrick’s door as he was about to take my shirt off. “They'll go away.” I whispered, reaching for his arm and almost falling off the bed. Garrick chuckled, catching my shoulder. “10 blow jobs says it's Xaden and he's not going anywhere.” I sighed, shaking my head. Garrick didn't even bother opening the door halfway to hide my existence on his bed. Sure, enough there stood Xaden who just smirked. I just shook my head and couldn't help but smile at myself.

Austin is here to tell her Garrick is, in fact, not that bad. Actually he’s not bad at all…and she should fuck him…🤭
The mares in his stable comment though 🤌
Black Dahlia - 16. Mares In His Stable
With Threshing over for another year, it's time for everyone to celebrate.

The dining hall is loud as everyone celebrates. Well those of us now classified as riders celebrate. As I scan the room, those who did not manage to bond a dragon today are absent. And I don’t blame them. This was essentially rubbing in their face that they weren’t worthy of being a rider.
As my eyes continue to scan the room I note how many of us new riders had forgone our jackets, many showing off their new relics. I was one of the few who had not opted to show off my new relic. Especially not while my brother was around.
When we’d been gifted our dragon relics in the flight field, I had to fight back a smirk as the heat that engulfed me wrapped around my right arm. The blue and black relic wrapping around my arm and shoulder. Reminding me very much of the relics the marked ones bared. I’d angered my father enough for one day, so I’d decided to keep it hidden for another time My brother no doubt delivering the news himself once he saw the marking for himself. As if sensing my gaze Dain turns, our eyes meeting across the room.
“I can’t tell if he wants to kill you or fuck you with how he’s staring at you right now,” Imogen says loudly as she takes the empty seat across from me.
I choke on the drink I’d been taking, Bodhi quick to start thumping me on the back to help the coughing fit I’m caught in by Imogen’s words as I tear my gaze from Dain’s.
”P-please tell me you are not talking about my brother.” I say once my coughing fit has passed, the rest of our group bursting into laughter at my words as I gasp for air.
Imogen smirks and shakes her head while laughing at me, “Fuck no. Though if incest is your thing-”
”Fuck no. Now please tell me who the hell you’re talking about.”
Bodhi turns his head, scanning the room as we wait for Imogen to reply. He must find the person in question, the corners of his mouth lifting in a smirk that reminds me too much of his older cousin. “Definitely the second one,” He teases as Imogen nods in agreement.
I turn my head as I follow Bodhi’s gaze, my eyes landing on Garrick as he leans up against a wall on the other side of the room. Our eyes lock for a brief second before he averts his gaze to another rider who starts walking up to him. The way she sways her hips as she walks up to me tells me exactly what she wants. As she steps into his reach, he grasps her by the waist and pulls her against him before leaning down and pulling her into a kiss. A kiss that quickly turns heated, and there's no doubt in my mind at what those two will be doing tonight.
”Hate to burst your bubble, but looks like you’re wrong Bodhi,” I say as I pat him on the back sympathetically. “Looks like he just wants to murder me and the feeling is mutual.”
”He’s really not-”
”I swear to the gods if you say he’s really not that bad I will pour this entire drink over your head.” I warn him, holding my drink above his head.
Bodhi looks between me and the drink, debating if to finish his sentence. After a few seconds his shoulders sagas he sighs in defeat. Clearly deciding it was not worth having a drink poured over his head for.
”Do I want to know why you’re holding a drink over my cousins head like that?” Xaden drawls from next to me, his voice startling me causing the drink to slosh over the edge of the cup and a few drops landing on Bodhi’s head.
”Your cousin thought it would be a good idea to try tell her Garrick isn’t that bad.” Austin chimes in.
I turn and narrow my gaze at her, and all she does is smile sweetly at me. She was no longer affected by any glares I sent her way. Always seeing past them now she knew me too well. I hear her giggle as I roll my eyes and turn my attention back to Xaden.
”Which I might believe if he didn’t act like I was the worse thing to happen in his life.” I say venomously, earning a few chuckles from our group.
”At the risk of getting a drink poured over my own head. He might surprise you Aetos.” He drawls, my eyes narrowing as he uses my last name.
”I highly doubt that given how he’s treated me so far.” I snap back, Xaden’s brow furrowing at my words. “And on that note I will see you all tomorrow as I’ve had enough of this Garrick talk.”
After months of sleeping in the crowded barracks, I’d had the best nights sleep since I’d gotten here. It felt weird to have my own space again, no Austin and Liz to talk with before bed. But I had missed my alone time. Missed having my own space. Though somehow I knew with having my own room now, I still wouldn’t get as much alone time as I would like. I could already imagine Bodhi knocking on my door and barging in whenever he got the chance. I was going to have to learn to ward my door as soon as I could, even if it wasn’t something I would learn for a while, I would find a way.
I grab my jacket from the back of the chair where I had thrown it last night before walking into the hallway and closing the door. I hear the sound of a door opening behind me, and I turn to see Garrick walking out of the room across from mine. He goes to walk off, but as I lean against the doorway and cross my arms cross my chest, his head turns to look at me as he stops.
For the first time since I’d gotten here, he doesn't glare at me when our eyes meet. And I hated to say it was a nice change to not see his face in a glare at the sight of me. His gaze travels over me before snagging on the relic that now adorned my arm and was on full display due to not putting my jacket on yet. His eyes go wide as he takes it in, clearly having the same thoughts I did when I’d looked at it after Threshing.
”For someone that hates me so much, you sure seem to like starting at me. Maybe I should paint you a picture.” My words snapping him out of whatever trance he was in, his hazel eyes meeting mine again.
”Thanks, but I politely decline that offer.” He huffs at me, folding his own arms over his chest.
”You, do something politely? That would be a first.” I snap back as I smirk at him, his brow furrowing slightly, but not into its usual glare.
”I can do many things politely.” He says with a smirk, slowly walking over to me. “Maybe if you didn’t act they way you do, you might get some of the benefits like your fellow rider did last night.”
My laughter echoes off the walls of the empty hall, Garrick’s smirk dropping at my reaction as he stops in front of me, having to crane my neck to look up at him. “If there was anyone I want to reap those benefits from, you would be the last one on my list. Don’t want to catch a disease from one of the many mares you keep in your stable on rotation.”
I expected his usual glare to return, but it doesn’t. The lumbering oaf just smirks down at me as he leans closer. My heart rate picks up at the close proximity, a slight heat rising up my neck. Shit. I was not reacting to this bastard.
”Oh don’t worry little Aetos, I keep the mares in my stable quite clean if you ever change your mind.” His voice dropping to an octave which does not help the way my body was reacting. I might find him attractive, but that was it.
I open my mouth to reply before a door bangs open next to us, Bodhi bounding out into the hallway before coming to a halt as he notices Garrick and I. Garrick is quick to respond, turning my head to watch as he storms out of the hallway towards the stairs. A chuckle draws my attention back to Bodhi, still standing where he had halted in the hallway with a wide grin on his face.
”Not a fucking word. I do not want to hear it.” I snap at him before shrugging my jacket on and storming off.
”I wasn’t going to say anything!”

👀👀👀 ohhhh, things are getting juicy. And does this mean our girl will get 2 signets?
Also trying to figure out what clues the Iliad can give us
Black Dahlia - 14. Little Girl Gone.
Dahlia has survived and bonded a dragon, but now she must face her father who awaits her back in the flight field. With a dragon very much known to the both of them.

”It will do for now.” I joke back, his breath wafting over me as he chuckles behind me.
I can’t help but feel a sense of Deja vu as I turn to face him. The clearing so similar to the one all those years ago as I take him in. Only this time he’s far closer than he was that day. Ironically it almost feels like a dream seeing him here in front of me. Like I would wake up any moment back in my bed.
But he was real. And he was mine. As if sensing my thoughts he inhales loudly, his chest puffing out proudly with the movement. His sapphire blue scales catching the setting sun as the silence settles around us.
”We should start heading back. You’ve ventured a fair way in.” His voice startling out of my trance.
I raise an eyebrow at him before taking a few steps back to prepare to mount him. “No thanks to you.” I retort.
He lowers his head, eyes narrowing at me at my words. I know he won’t harm me, but I can’t help the panic that briefly sets in as he eyes me.
”You survived didn’t you?” He snaps at me before extending his leg out for me to mount.
”For the most part.”
I now knew what the gauntlet had prepared us for. The last part almost perfectly replicating the run I needed to do to mount him. Though clearly it was made for dragons a fair bit smaller than my own. I take off, doing what I can to gain as much speed as I can before grasping onto his scales and climbing up his back.
”I can see. You might want to clear up that blood before we head back.”
Shit, I’d nearly forgotten about my nose. I slowly reach up and touch it. It hurts, but it’s luckily not broken. I grasp the sleeve of my shirt, tearing it off to wipe away the blood. I definitely didn’t get all of it, but hopefully it looked better than it did. I lower myself down onto the smooth divot of his back, reaching out to grab the thick ridge of scales Kaori had referred to as the pommel.
Clearly happy I’m seated properly, he bends slightly before launching us up into the sky. I try to hold back the yelp that escapes my lips, but it escapes before I can stop it. Nothing could have prepared me for this moment. But at the same time it feels so natural to me. As if I was made to sit on this dragons back. As if this was what I was always made to do. The sound of his beating wings and the rush of air is all I can hear as we rise above the trees.
As I look around I spy a few other dragons with riders heading towards the flight field. But with how few there are and the setting sun, I know we’re one of the last ones to head back. Meaning anyone still down there is most likely unbonded or dead. With the dragons too far away, I’m unable to tell with riders are on their backs. I hope Bodhi, Austin and Liz made it. No, they did. They would all be down in that flight field waiting for me.
”Why did you protect me the other day?” I ask as we bank towards the flight field.
It had been a question on my mind since Presentation Day. And honestly a question on everyone’s minds. No dragon had ever protected a cadet on Presentation Day. Especially not like that. But it was extremely rare a cadet would have met or known their dragon prior to that day. Only a handful like myself, a child of a Dragon Rider, had seen a dragon up close before coming here.
”I thought it would have been obvious to you by now.” I had a feeling if I could see his face, his words would have been accompanied by an eye roll. Can dragons even roll their eyes?
”Well it’s been a few years. Wasn’t sure if you actually remembered me.” I retort before he throws us into another bank, causing my to fumble for my grip on the pommel. Bastard.
”Little flower, I watched you grow up for most of your life. You might be older but you still look the same.”
”That doesn’t answer why you defended me. And stop calling me little flower.” I snap back as we level out, starting out decent to the flight field.
”I defended you because I knew you we’re my rider. I have been waiting for you since the day my last rider passed. I would have done anything to make sure no harm came to you little flower.”
Clearly we were not giving up on the little flower nickname.
Without warning his wings starting beating faster and faster before launching us upwards at an alarming rate. It’s now I remember Kaori had warned us all the dragons would put us through our paces, making sure we could keep our seat and to put on a show for those below. I sneak a glance to my left, below us hundreds of dragons and riders line the field. Most likely all with their eyes on the last of us to make it back.
His wings stop beating as we hand in mid air, a weird feeling of weightlessness falling over me. I feel the slight change in gravity as we go to drop, but instead of falling with it he spreads his wings beating them loudly as we flip backwards into our decent, another yelp escaping my lips as we start falling towards the ground in a spinning motion. I was now secretly glad I’d barely eaten breakfast as I would no doubt be struggling to keep it down right now.
Just when I think we’re going to crash into the ground he spreads his wings wide, pulling us upright as we descend into the ground. A ferocious roar of celebration echoes around us as we descend. Hundreds of dragons line the edge of the field, as well as spectators who have filled the stands to watch the bonded riders. As we touch down onto the ground, I notice the formation of dragons. On our side are the new first years with their newly bonded dragons. Across from us are the dragons and riders in second and third year. If it wasn’t for the fact he was my squad leader, I would have thought my dragon picked out spot based on the other dragons colour. Across from us is a dragon I’d only heard Bodhi and others speak about. The biggest and most ruthless dragon in the quadrant. Sgaeyl. Though with how she was eyeing us off, I had a feeling we now rivalled that position.
As my feet touch the ground, I’m met with a different set of eyes. The ones belonging to the rider of Sgaeyl. Xaden. He offers me one of his signature smirks and a brief nod of his head before his attention shifts to his right, where another set of eyes are looking at me. Garrick, who has his usual unimpressed look on his face as I meet his eyes. I give him a vulgar gesture which only worsens the look on his face before I turn to my way down to the roll keeper.
”Do I want to know what you’re problem is with him?”
”Everything. Now what do I call you before I make a fool of myself in front of the roll keeper and that thing I call a father.” I snap back as I start down the make shift path down the middle of the flight field where a line of cadets waits to give their dragons name.
”You already know my name.”
”No, I know what he use to call you and I know it isn’t your full name.”
Movement on the dais catches my attention. I knew he would be here. Knew he would be waiting for Dain and I to bond our dragon. I hadn’t even bothered to see if Dain had made it back on my way down. And I wasn’t turning my back on my father to check.
His eyes don’t meet mine. Still too focused on the dragon behind me. I don’t have to be an inninstic to know what he’s thinking. I know exactly what he’s thinking and the lecture I’m definitely getting after I tell the roll keeper his name.
The rider ahead of me finishes telling the roll keeper their dragons name, moving aside to let me move forward. She looks up and offers me a smile. “Ah, Dahlia Aetos. Congratulations on bonding a dragon.” She says as she writes my name down. “For the record, please tell me the name of the dragon who chose you.”
Behind her my father steps forward, close enough to hear the name leave my mouth. I hold my ground, shifting my eyes from the roll keeper to his. The same brown eyes Dain and I inherited. Eyes that I cowered under as a kid. Eyes I had hoped and wanted to look at me with love and adoration while I was a kid. But not now. Now I couldn’t care less how he looked at me, as long as I proved him wrong.
“Now would be a good time to tell me your name.”
”Prothoenor.”
I square my shoulders and lift my chin, the corner of my mouth lifting into a smirk I know my father hates before I announce his name.
”His name is Prothoenor.”
She nods happily, before writing down his name next to mine and motioning for me to move along. I pivot on my heal, tearing my gaze from my fathers. I barely get ten steps away before I hear rushed steps behind me as a hand roughly grabs my arm and spins me around.
I resist the urge to shove my hands out and shove my father away, knowing I will face far worse punishment for disrespecting leadership. It didn’t matter if he was my father. I was a rider and he was a Colonel who out ranked me. It seems the last few days were out to get me with Deja Vu. The last time I had seen so much hatred and rage in his eyes was back in that clearing. The day mother had died. They had he had told me I was no daughter of his.
”What are you playing at bonding that dragon?” He snarls at me as he tightens his grip on my arm as I try to tug it free.
”I am not playing at anything.” I snap back.
”Don’t mess with me girl. You know who that dragon belong to before you.”
I tug again on my arm, finally succeeding at getting it free as I step back. “Yes I am aware who his rider was before me. He was the last family I had left before his suspicious death.”
He recoils slightly at my words before leaning back towards me and pointing a finger at me. “Your grandfathers death was not suspicious. And as I’ve told you before, we will not be discussing his death ever again.”
”You can’t tell me, that sending his squad to an abandoned outpost near no enemy activity and none of them surviving isn’t suspicious.”
Everything about his death sent alarm bells off in my head, especially as I got older. Something never sat quite right with me about it. But any time I’d brought it up I was locked in my room until he’d seen fit to let me out again. And now I had bonded his dragon, I knew his was scared I might find out the truth behind it all.
He goes to step towards me but comes up short as he averts his gaze over my head. Gasps sound around me as those around us turn their gaze behind me. So far our little conversation had gone unnoticed. Until now. The familiar shake of the ground tells me who is approaching. His words from earlier echoing in my head.
I would have done anything to make sure no harm came to you little flower.
And apparently that also extended to my own father. My father who quickly steps back, giving me a fleeting glare before walking back to his place on the dais.
