How do you feel about the revelation of Eurus and the effect it has on the Holmes parents in Season 4 of Sherlock? I personally found their appearance to be unnecessary to the show (due to Moffat's love of nepotism) because the mystery of what made the Holmes brothers who they are is taken away when their mother is smart but she's a typical "nagging shrew/old bat" while the father's a simpleton.

As mylate reply implies: I am very busy these days with my own version ofart, performance, drama, creative madness, and happily so. Now I knowthat if I suffer the pangs of love, they are my own. Or indeed thoseeveryone shares, but my special share of it.

All inall the end of Sherlock has been such a massive disappointment, andthe absurd invention of that monster sis such a bad, bad move, that Iam about to forget the sweet obsession of 2 years or so. The nepotismof dull supermum and the sociological ignorance of Moffits to make 2eccentric uppercrust snob brothers the sons of a square teachercouple are only minor reasons to be an ex-fan.

Thetrouble with this show is, was, that it is merchandise produced for aglobal young crowd of angophiles who have little knowledge ofBritain's history or social reality. Therefore it is the product ofat least one ice-cold cynic who would violate any sense of reality,logic, ethics, social and historical accuracy just to pimp up hisbrit-porn.

A sad,sad story after all. One more chapter of final capitalism.

MeanwhileI am still a TV junkie, but I eat a far more adult and nourishingdiet right now. Since Sherlock's demise I have watched and would rateon a scale from 1-3 the following shows (all of them from 01/01 towherever the stand now. If they are done I add an F for “finished”).

5 shows(Taboo, Chance, Pope, Versailles, Billions) are featuring amazingperformances by British actors by far superior to anything BC hasdone since the 1st season of Sherlock.

So, yousee, I am still a TV junkie and will always remain one as long asthat stuff keeps getting better and ever more varied.

I amalso still an anglophile, but not without critical discernment.

Also, Isaw Andrew Scott as the best Hamlet ever live this april in London, and keep on preferring hisMoriarty to Ben's Sherlock.

Oh, andI still love and adore Big Bang and Jim Parson's Sheldon, and hisproposal to Amy is the best and sweetest het couple performance I canimagine, and far superior to anything sexual, gay or asexual thatSherlock show has ever had to offer.

I am afraid, Sherlock has just beenjust a cruel, cruel, fashionable tease after all.
