25. Is the comforting one

I MEAN. That depends on who needs comforting. Ranthyr tries. I’ve got a concept bhaalspawn named Kriemhild who might qualify, but also Kriemhild is a cursed name cause this is the third character I’ve tried to give it to, so who knows. Angien is a big-sister friend so in her own way, she counts? A lot of them have Their People that they will absolutely drop everything to comfort, but not necessarily for anyone outside of that group. Calypso generally does a good job of the role.

burning through a bunch of raise dead scrolls

soloing the last, like, quarter of the second fire scorpion’s health 

Apparently stealthing so hard the fire scorpion actually just gave up and sat there and let her kill it? I don’t know. Some kind of bug happened but I will TAKE THAT VICTORY REGARDLESS

somehow never getting tail swiped even though she had Deft Strike equipped and therefore spent a lot of time stabbing Lostmauth’s giant scaly butt

SOMEHOW NEVER DEFT-STRIKED STRAIGHT INTO LAVA (or at least dodged back out of it quickly enough to not take damage)

Maybe finally getting the hang of  Impossible to Catch, aka her paragon path’s encounter power, aka something I’ve been neglecting for. like. two whole years now. Have I been playing this game for two years. My god.

Anyway, you get pictures because I haven’t showed off the guild rogue armor yet, and I like it, and also she managed to get the fancy gloves from that dungeon on her first run through it holy fuck, and also. I haven’t shown off her current weapon skins. The curvy one is the Dagger of the Dread Legion, continuing Thay’s pattern of really really weird (but awesome) equipment appearances. And the other is the Sinister Rapier with a Greater Terror enchantment (cause I just got a coalescent ward from a box and decided Angien DESERVED IT)

Is trying to run a tavern underneath Neverwinter, aka in what used to be part of the sewer system. Sorry Angi, no amount of magic is going to make that stop sounding sketchy

Encourages Olienne to go on daredevil adventures and otherwise take stupid risks.

Is kind of trying to set up a spy network that is separate from Neverember’s spymaster’s network, even though said spymaster knows very well who she is

Somewhat relatedly, is stealing some of Neverember’s guards from him. (If there is a revolution coming, she and Ela will be READY)

Calls her ranger mentor “owl-dad” even though his husband was the one who quasi-adopted her

Is supposed to be aro-spec, still got a huge crush on Nathyrra the moment I considered the possibility of them having crossed paths at some point

Named the aforementioned sketchy tavern The Broken Horn, which 1. is pretty self indulgent, since she has a broken horn and 2. necessitated sacrificing a perfectly good drinking horn so she could decorate the sign properly

Isn’t even there to run the tavern most of the time because she’s off fighting cultists or something, take some responsibility

So I can help with the orcs sometimes, or the other nasties, but until some more people move in and bring their intrigue…” Angien shrugs. “There’s only so much of the Steward’s imperious eyebrow a girl can take in a tenday, you know? Even if some of the other advisers are cute.”

She pauses, then winks. “And besides, I’ve got my own stronghold of sorts. The Broken Horn can manage without me for brief adventures, but if rumors are the lifeblood of a city, then taverns are its hearts. And I shouldn’t leave mine unattended for too long~”

Played with demo record again. Have some of screenshots of Angien’s daily powers. Not pictured: the sheer number of ghostly daggers involved in these animations. Also that first one does shockwaves so it is very hard to get good pictures of, because everything is blurry once you zoom in.

ridingrootless this is from that fight with Grimak, so let me know if you want me to try getting pictures of Oli firing her laser. Or something.

Edited to add a picture of Angien posing in combat-ready stance because look at that badass sickle. You cannot see her badass sickle in the first two and that is a shame. Also Grimak’s lair + shadowy purple rogue powers = not the best colors tbh

Meanwhile Angien’s face scar is 95% likely due to “well you were apprenticed to some kind of smith in your adolescence OF COURSE you were going to get burned at some point” but she’s got, like. 10 different wild stories about how it happened

One of them probably involves a dragon.

(the 5% of uncertainty is because WELL. TRAPS ARE A THING. like, ACID SPLASH traps and fireball traps and. That should maybe be 15% uncertainty tbh. But it’s definitely a burn of some sort cause despite what she tells Oli she isn’t actually fireproof.)
