Archangel Azrael: "Archangel Azrael, the angel of transformation and an angel of death in Islam, means "helper of God". Azrael helps living people navigate the changes in their lives. He helps dying people make the transition from the earthly dimension to heaven and comforts people who are grieving the death of a loved one. Its light energy color is pale yellow."

Also (I forgot to mention) the idea that people can't comprehend divinity is very valid, especially when you remember that the image of "baby angels" made for cherubins is completely false, but the church created that because they knew common people would be terrified shitless of the biblically accurate versions lmao
it's interesting that Gods and Angels are always depicted as human. it's like we're scared of not being at the top of the hierarchy, yes? we can't comprehend that God doesn't fit the carvings we've built to contain them.

I should stop using flower language and plant related myths to hide messages through my writing.
You wish, of course I won't.

Biblically Accurate Bugs - Enamel Pins
I am SO excited to finally announce a new upcoming series of enamel pins where we take bugs and mash them together with angels.
If you remember, we had a poll, and YOU all chose the designs for the final bug, the Seraph mantis.
These series pins have glitter enamel in places and hollowed out wings, to make the texture of these pins that much more crunchy.
These little guys are currently in production, and we gave the green light after receiving samples. And guys.... they look amazing. Beyond excited to finally bring them to you hopefully by December/January!
Please welcome the Throne, the Power, and the Seraph ✨

I mean... the 72 demons people love to use in media came from the Lesser Key of Solomom, and while I saw a lot of people talking about Ars Goetia, talking about the angels sure is a fascinating thing.
There are angels for the 24 hours and the protectors of the Zodiac signs, but apparently that's not even the start of it.
While there are 12 angels that take care of the signs in general, some angels protect a specific degree from a zodiac sign, with some working extra and taking care of more than one degree, sometimes even on another sign.
Meanwhile, the angels of the hours and days all have their own servant angels, but these are just like the Ars Goetia demon servants; you aren't expected to get their names anyways.
Unfortunately, most of them we only have the name, so it's almost like the actual writer didn't care much about the angels either...
I guess that, because the grimoire was made about how to summon the entities, not much thought was given explaining the angels like it was a given that they would help, which can be veeery frustrating as an aspiring writer myself.
Sometimes I’m a bit annoyed when I see a lot of biblical inspired fiction not really go into depth about angel types compared to demons, but other times I get it because have you ever researched angels? It’s all just “the strongest most specialist guy ever”

He just wants to show off to the only person participating his Christian Angeology Club what a biblically accurate Cherub is.
(And so Susie and Chip would later become friends 👓📖).

Also, the Metatron seems to have known Crowley well when he was an angel with all the comments about how he always wanted to go his own way with questions AND Crowley says last he saw the Metatron he was a giant floating head, when did this happen? And how come he was the first one to recognize the Metatron? Before the archangels did?
Crowley's Rank
Crowley was a seraphim. Perhaps still is.
Muriel mentions you have to be a "throne or dominion or above" to open the records in episode 6. Crowley then opens them quite easily.
There are several different hierarchies depending on flavor of religion, but Judaic hierarchy doesn't include thrones and dominions. Catholicism does.
Catholicism hierarchy goes, highest to lowest: * Seraphim * Cherubim * Thrones * Dominions * Virtues * Powers * Principalities * Archangels (no, not the Archangels in the show - that is a job description, not a rank) * Angels
So we're most likely going by Catholic angelic hierarchy rules.
In episode 1, Crowley says to Beelzebub, "That's just something we made up to scare the cherubs." Which means whoever he was, he was above cherubs in the hierarchy - you don't make something up to scare your superiors. And the only thing above cherubim are seraphim.
Also, the theory that he was Archangel Raphael has been thoroughly disproven. The Metatron says they "already lost one Prince of Heaven" and losing another would be devastating. The Archangels / leaders are the ones who are referred to as Princes - and they definitely lost Lucifer in the Fall. They haven't lost any others, so Crowley can't have been an Archangel, placing him firmly as a seraph.
Unless, of course, there was some memory erasure / Book of Life fuckery going on. You never know. Gaiman could have anything at all planned.

YronNia, you have to learn something this year.
If you decide to be spontaneous, you have to accept that it won't always work.
No matter how good you have been prepared, there will always be something missing.
