I love this little model, she’s one of my favorites, I love her eyes, and her cheeks and her curls, and her smile, so I’d send hats. Perfect right! Only gets better, I send a toddler tote, and she showed me I have a new kind of hat design. So back to the drawing board and we are coming out with a new cap soon ~ just for her!

Working With CF

I am a 28 year old twice double lung transplant recipient and Cystic Fibrosis warrior. . . and to get through the tough days, I crochet. 

I started my own little crochet business a little over a year ago after the urging of hospital staff, friends, & family. Whenever I was admitted for a weeks at a time, or was feeling too unwell to leave the house, I’d gather some yarn and work on making something, anything. 

The repetitive motion of the needle and the constant counting of stitches was relaxing, meditative even. It was an easy enough physical activity that I wouldn’t tire out and it kept the shaking in my hands from getting worse. It also kept my mind occupied; while I was working I would forget that I was struggling to breathe and all the aches and pains would fade into the background. 

Now, I’ve turned that distraction, those moments, this hobby into my business. And I love what I do. Getting orders is great, shaping new products is fun, and creating new listings is fulfilling. 

I can’t wait to keep expanding.
