Update on the Wicked Social Media AU

So uhh my AO3 account is not going to be accepted until Valentine's day ☠️

I'm going to try to get the paintings done and posted before that. But, for the meantime, here's a little taste of chapter one:

Galinda went back to scrolling, not really paying attention as Fiyero listed off a few more names. She didn’t really recognize any of them. She knew that most of her fashion friends were going to fashion school instead of majoring in sorcery at a prestigious university. She wished she did. She didn’t like to not have… well… minions was a bad term. Friends. The kind of friends that followed you around and helped you out when you needed it. 

She really wasn’t finding much on YouTube either. There were a few that had already graduated, a few that just… didn’t look interesting, and a few that she just neglected to mention because she found them unremarkable. But then her eye caught on some video: 

Move In To Shiz University With Me!

It was a fairly unremarkable title. Fairly unremarkable concept. But… the girl was green. Fully green. She didn’t know how to feel. A part of her felt revolted. Another part of her didn’t like that she felt revolted and reminded her that she didn’t want to be shallow. Another part of her was just asked… How can someone be green? 

She turned her computer to Fiyero, raising an eyebrow.

His eyes lit up. “WickedlyRighteous? Elphaba Thropp?” He clicked on the video to confirm. “She’s coming to Shiz? This is awesome.” 

Galinda wanted to hear him call her awesome…

“What does Elphaba do?” She asked. 

Fiyero clicked onto her channel, showing Galinda. “Politics, books, and video essays. It’s really thought-provoking stuff. I recommend it.”

Galinda tried to hide the simper that was threatening to rise on her face. Booky stuff. She didn’t have that large of a following compared to her, and she wasn’t in the same niche. Galinda could probably make the argument that they didn’t reach out to her, but then she looked at the elation in Fiyero’s eyes and–

"Do you want to contact her?"
