you ever think about how wesley is literally the exact big brother figure that angelica wanted in josh and how she was just looking in the wrong place because wesley actually understands what its like to feel like an outsider and unwanted and the desperation to keep the person that made you feel wanted and the great lengths you go to for that person even though you know what youre doing is wrong or are you like normal

Adults had one stupid job: to teach us how to be good people. But adults are the most selfish assholes of all! And the worst part is, we don’t get our chance to grow up and fuck up the world ourselves!

i've pretty much given up on house of the dragon and will only be watching to support clinton as addam because the show is all bad, most of the fanbase is worse, and there seems to be no end in sight, but daeron is my baby so i have to SAY SOMETHING
there's no way daeron can be criston's bastard without completely destroying his character and everything about him. i understand hbo doesn't respect anything that makes the targaryen's special (having an actual bond with the dragons, magic, being able to control them, etc) but you're either taking away the biggest part of his character or destroying the lore. why would you do either. just leave him out completely.
and not for nothing, but imagine spending the first part of your life listening to your mother, brothers, grandfather, and apparent illegitimate father preaching about how horrible your (fellow) bastard nephews are simply because of a birth circumstance you share with them and then being sent away forever? the resentment, the pain, the loneliness???? he's already an incredibly isolated and tragic character, whyyy would you want to strip him one the only period of familial happiness he ever knew?
no one who appreciates daeron as a character could want that. honestly, no one that appreciates any of these characters can want that? you love alicent but you want every word that leaves her mouth to act as a knife in her youngest son? you love aegon and/or aemond and you want their younger brother to remember the unkind things they said about people of his own birth rather than literally anything else?
idk. it's a terrible idea for so many reasons but as someone that genuinely loves daeron and sees what george's intentions with him were on the page, it's so upsetting to think about them being so careless with him to get the small percentage of audience members watching with their brains shut off to say "oooo" for 30 seconds and then forget about it forever lmao

Overview
One plant that is easily confused with poison hemlock, the stem of Angelica is all purple with three leaflets on the stems that are divided 3 to 5 times. In Iowa, the Angelica atropurpurea species grows and has very similar characteristics. Angelica archangelica can be found all over the northern hemisphere including subarctic regions such as Lapland and Greenland. It is also a popular garden variety. It has a musky odor and a sweet taste, though if you are not sure do not taste as Hemlock is extremely deadly. This is a biannual plant, meaning that it only produces foliage in the first year and the second it produces a flower and goes to seed, dying back once they fall.
When it does flower, it’s usually in May and through to late August and early September. The flowers are semi-round umbels with tiny white, yellow or green flowers. it’s best to harvest when they are mature in late summer or early fall, gathering seeds in dry weather. You will easily find it in the same environment as poison hemlock, namely rich, wet soil.

-Archangel Michael-
Upon the onset of Christianity in Europe, a monk was visited by the archangel Michael who revealed to him the curative powers of the plant for the plague that was wrecking havoc on the local village. This also earned it the name “Holy Ghost Root.”
According to Catholic Tradition, St. Michael has four main responsibilities: 1) combat Satan, 2) escort the faithful to heaven after their death, 3) to be a champion of Christians and the Church, and 4) to call humans from life for judgement.

Uses in Witchcraft
Angelica can be used in talismans to ward off evil and sickness. It is a protector, like Saint Michael, so can be hung, added to sachets and pouches, made into a wash, or a myriad of other workings. Try using it as a way to help ghosts cross over or ease ancestors into their afterlife.

Safety Notes
High doses of angelica can cause increased photosensitivity, so it is recommended that sunbathing and other exposure to ultraviolet radiation be limited while using angelica regularly.
Due to its furanocoumarin content, angelica can cause photo sensitivity or photodermatitis. Do a patch test before using as a tea, and wear gloves while harvesting, especially if you are already sensitive to the sun.

Conclusion
Angelica is one that can often be found in metaphysical stores, but if you can find it near you for free, why buy it? You can connect with this plant in a much deeper way when you can watch it through it's life cycle and chat with it as you pass by. Have you seen angelica around?
