A Light in the Fog
Pairing: Angela Orosco x Reader
Summary: In the unsettling town of Silent Hill, the reader encounters Angela in distress and offers her a chance to escape the town's suffocating grip.
@vintage-skeleton i hope you like it, enjoy! <3
âââ
The fire rages on the staircase, a pulsating heat that presses against your back like an oppressive hand. Angela sits on the steps above you, cradled in the flickering orange and red. She doesnât flinch from the fireâs reach. Itâs as if the inferno is hersâborn from her, fed by the pain she carries so heavily.
âAngela,â you call, hesitant. Your voice barely cuts through the roar of the flames. âAngela, can you hear me?â
She doesnât turn to look at you. Her shoulders remain hunched, her hands limp in her lap. You take a tentative step closer, but the heat bites at your skin. Your instinct screams to retreat, to protect yourself. But sheâs hereâtrapped in this place, in this hell, and you canât leave her like this.
âIâm not going with you,â she says suddenly, her voice as brittle as dried leaves. It carries no venom, no heat like the fire around her. Itâs flat. Broken.
You take another step, wincing as the flames seem to snarl at your approach. âYou donât have to stay here,â you say, forcing your voice to remain steady. âThis placeâit wants to destroy you. You donât have to let it.â
She laughs, a hollow, bitter sound. Her head tilts back, and for a moment, she looks like sheâs daring the flames to consume her. âDonât I? Donât I deserve this?â
The question pierces you. You want to tell her no, to refute her words immediately, but you know itâs not that simple. The pain she carries wonât be soothed by empty reassurances.
âYou donât,â you say quietly, stepping closer. The fire claws at you now, stinging your exposed skin, but you grit your teeth and keep moving. âNo one deserves this. Not you. Not anyone.â
Her head snaps toward you, her dark eyes narrowing. âWhat do you know about it?â she spits. âYou donât know what Iâve done. What I am. You canât save me.â
You kneel at the edge of the flames, your eyes fixed on hers. âI donât have to know everything,â you say. âI just know youâre more than this. Whatever youâve done, whateverâs been done to youâyou donât have to let it define you.â
Her lips tremble, but she presses them into a hard line, turning away. âYou sound like him,â she mutters.
âLike who?â you ask gently.
âJames.â The name drips from her tongue like poison. âAlways pretending to care. Always acting like he understands.â She shakes her head, her hands clenching into fists. âBut he doesnât. None of you do.â
âIâm not James,â you say firmly. âIâm not pretending. Iâm here because I want to help you.â
The fire seems to roar louder, as if protesting your words. Angela looks at you, her expression caught between anger and despair. âWhy?â she demands. âWhy do you care? Iâm not worth it.â
You reach out, your hand trembling in the heat. âBecause Iâve been where you are. Maybe not exactly, but enough to know how it feelsâto think youâre alone, that the pain will never end. And I know what itâs like to be wrong about that.â
Her eyes widen, the firelight reflecting in her tears. She stares at your outstretched hand as if itâs something foreign, something she canât quite believe is real.
âI donât know if I can leave,â she whispers, her voice so small you almost donât hear it. âI donât even know if I want to.â
âYou donât have to know right now,â you say. âBut you can try. One step at a time. Iâll be with you.â
For a long moment, she doesnât move. The flames crackle and pop, the heat pressing against your skin like a vice. Then, slowly, her hand reaches out, her fingers brushing against yours.
Her touch is cold, trembling. You grip her hand gently, giving her the chance to pull away if she wants. But she doesnât. Instead, she lets you guide her to her feet. The fire seems to grow angrier, the heat intensifying as you step back together.
âDonât look back,â you say quietly, and she nods, her grip tightening on your hand.
âââ
The world outside the burning staircase feels no less oppressive. The fog is thick and cloying, curling around you like greedy fingers. Silent Hill is quiet now, but its silence is never comforting. Itâs the kind of quiet that presses against your ears, making your own heartbeat sound deafening.
Angela walks beside you, her steps slow and uncertain. She clings to your hand like a lifeline, her other arm wrapped around herself.
âThis place,â she murmurs, her voice almost lost in the fog. âItâs never going to let me go.â
âIt doesnât get to decide that,â you say firmly. âYouâre stronger than it is, Angela. You proved that the moment you decided to take my hand.â
She glances at you, her expression wary. âYou really believe that?â
âI do,â you say without hesitation. âAnd Iâll keep believing it, even if you donât.â
Her gaze drops to the ground, her steps faltering. âI donât feel strong,â she admits. âI feel... empty. Like thereâs nothing left of me.â
You stop walking, turning to face her. âThatâs the town talking, you say. âIt wants you to feel like that. But youâre not empty, Angela. Youâre still here. That means thereâs something left to fight for.â
Her eyes fill with tears, but she doesnât look away this time. âI donât know how to fight anymore,â she whispers.
âYou donât have to do it alone,â you remind her. âWeâll figure it out together.â
For a moment, she doesnât respond. Then she nods, a tiny, hesitant movement. Itâs not much, but itâs a start.
âââ
The walk through Silent Hill feels endless. The fog grows thicker with every step, the air heavy with the scent of rust and decay. You keep a firm grip on Angelaâs hand, afraid that if you let go, the town will swallow her whole.
âI used to think Iâd never leave,â she says suddenly, breaking the silence. Her voice is soft, distant, as if sheâs speaking more to herself than to you. âLike this place was the only thing I deserved. The only place I belonged.â
âDo you still think that?â you ask gently.
She hesitates, her brow furrowing. âI donât know,â she admits. âBut... maybe not. Not as much as I did before.â
âThatâs good,â you say. âIt means youâre starting to see the truth.â
She looks at you, her expression skeptical. âWhat truth?â
âThat you deserve more than this,â you say simply. âThat youâre worth saving.â
Her lips press together, her gaze dropping to the ground. âI donât know if I believe that yet,â she says.
âThatâs okay,â you say. âYou donât have to believe it right away. Just... donât give up on yourself. Please.â
She doesnât respond, but she doesnât pull away either. You take that as a sign to keep going.
âââ
As you near the edge of the town, the fog begins to thin. The oppressive weight that has followed you feels lighter, though it never truly disappears. Angela stops walking, her hand slipping from yours.
âWhatâs wrong?â you ask, turning to face her.
She stares ahead, her expression conflicted. âIf I leave...â She trails off, shaking her head.
âWhat?â you prompt gently.
âIf I leave,â she says again, âwhat happens to everything Iâve done? To everything Iâve been through? Does it just... disappear?â
You step closer, your voice soft but firm. âNo. It doesnât disappear. But it doesnât have to define you, either. You can carry it with you without letting it control you.â
She looks at you, her eyes filled with uncertainty. âI donât know if I can do that.â
âYou can,â you say. âYou already are.â
For a long moment, she doesnât move. Then, slowly, she takes your hand again. âOkay,â she whispers.
Together, you step into the thinning fog, leaving the townâand its horrorsâbehind.

Safe in Your Arms
Pairing: Angela Orosco x Muscular!Protective!Fem!Reader
Summary: A protective reader shields Angela from James Sunderland in Silent Hill, providing her with comfort and safety amidst the townâs horrors.
@fallenvervain hope you like it. enjoy! :)
âââ
Silent Hill was an endless foggy maze of dread and echoes. Every step forward seemed to pull you both further into a place where time didn't make sense and shadows clung tightly to the edges of broken streets. But with Angela at your side, you felt a fierce sense of dutyâa fire that burned brighter than the murky horror surrounding you.
You were built like a fortress; your muscular frame was a source of strength and assurance. Years of training had honed your body into a powerful presence, and you often found that it intimidated those who would dare to threaten your loved ones. Angela walked close to you, almost hiding behind your shoulder whenever the silence broke with strange noises. Her vulnerability tugged at your heart, igniting your protective instincts.
"Y/N, do you think... weâll make it out of here?" she whispered, casting a cautious look around as if expecting something to jump out from the shadows.
Your jaw tightened at her words. You squeezed her hand firmly, feeling the warmth of her skin against your calloused palm. âIâll make sure we do, Angela. Just stay close to me.â
The two of you continued through the desolate streets, passing abandoned, decaying buildings that loomed like watchful giants in the fog. Every creak of the structures and rustle of leaves felt magnified, but you remained alert, your body ready to respond to any threat. You were her shield, and nothing would get past you.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the fog. A lone man with a cautious expression, a flashlight in one hand and a tense look about him. You squinted against the dim light, recognition washing over you.
James.
Angela instantly tensed up, her body pressing against yours, and you felt it ripple through her like a chill. Instinctively, you stepped slightly in front of her, shielding her from his view with your broad shoulders and solid stance. Your muscular build created a formidable barrier, and you could see James hesitate, taken aback by your presence.
âAngela?â he asked, looking past you with concern.
You felt Angela cling to your arm, her fingers digging into your bicep, seeking reassurance. Without a second thought, you positioned yourself more firmly in front of her, crossing your arms. âBack off,â you said, your voice low and unyielding. âWhatever you want, keep it to yourself. Angelaâs with me now.â
His brows knitted in confusion as he glanced between you two. âI didnât mean to scare her. Iâm just⌠trying to find someone.â
Your gaze didnât waver, and your muscles tensed, ready to protect Angela from whatever this encounter might bring. Silent Hill had a way of twisting intentions, and you didnât trust him, not for a second. The last thing you wanted was for Angela to feel even the slightest bit uncomfortable. Sheâd already been through so much.
Angelaâs grip on your arm tightened, and you could feel the tremble of her body against yours. You glanced back at her, noticing the haunted look in her eyes, the way her lips parted in a silent plea for safety. In that moment, you wanted nothing more than to wrap her in your embrace and shield her from the world outside.
âPlease,â Angela whispered, her voice barely above a breath. âI donât want to be here.â
You turned your attention back to James, your expression unwavering. âShe doesnât need your help, James. Whateverâs going on with you, itâs not her problem. Weâre leaving.â
James opened his mouth to protest, but you were already stepping away, taking Angela with you. You felt her relax slightly with each step that distanced you from him, the tension in her shoulders easing just a bit.
âThank you,â she murmured after a while, her voice small, a hint of gratitude lacing her words.
You looked at her, softening your gaze as you gave her hand a reassuring squeeze. âAngela, Iâll do anything to keep you safe. No one in this hellhole is going to hurt you while Iâm here.â
As you continued onward through the fog, the oppressive weight of the town seemed to lift, if only slightly. You could feel the remnants of adrenaline coursing through you, a primal instinct to protect the person you cared for most. Each time a shadow flickered in your peripheral vision, your muscles would tense, ready to spring into action. You wouldnât let anything harm her.
âI just⌠itâs hard to breathe in this place,â Angela confessed, her voice trembling as she glanced around. âEverything feels so heavy, and I canât shake the feeling that something is watching us.â
You kept your arm around her shoulders, drawing her closer to you. âI know itâs overwhelming,â you said gently, your heart aching for her. âBut remember, Iâm right here. If anything comes for us, I wonât let it touch you.â
Angela offered a small smile, a flicker of hope in her eyes. With your strength beside her, she felt emboldened, if only a little. The fog thickened, wrapping around you like a shroud, but you could feel the warmth of her presence against you.
You pressed forward, your senses heightened, scanning the streets for any signs of danger. Each crumbling brick and shattered window seemed to hold secrets, echoes of the past lurking just out of sight. But your resolve was stronger than the darkness around you.
âDo you think weâll find a way out?â Angela asked quietly, glancing up at you with a mix of hope and fear.
âWe will,â you replied, your voice firm. âI promise you, Angela. As long as Iâm standing, Iâll find a way for us both.â
As you ventured deeper into the mist, your heart racedânot just from the tension of the unknown, but from the determination to keep Angela safe. You could feel her trust in you, a bond forged in the fires of this nightmarish world. No matter what Silent Hill threw your way, you would stand by her side, a steadfast guardian against the horrors that lurked in the dark.
The shadows shifted, and you steeled yourself, ready to face whatever came next. Together, you would confront the terrors of Silent Hill, hand in hand, your strength guiding her through the darkness. You would protect her, no matter what it took.

Witches & Whispers
Pairing: Angela Orosco X Fem!Reader
Summary: In Salem on Halloween night, Angela discovers warmth and connection amid haunted festivities, learning that Halloween can be a night of both thrills and unexpected comfort.
@fallenvervain here you go, girl. enjoy! :) (sorry, this ended up a bit small)
âââ
Halloween in Salem has a pulse all its own, and tonight, you and Angela Orosco are in the thick of it. The streets are alive with people dressed in every kind of costume imaginableâvampires, witches, zombies, and ghostly apparitions fill every corner, moving through cobblestone streets decorated with flickering jack-oâ-lanterns and twinkling orange lights. The scent of caramel apples and roasted nuts wafts through the air, mixing with the faint scent of bonfires crackling somewhere nearby.
Angela looks a bit out of place amid the festive chaos, but thereâs a quiet curiosity in her eyes as she takes in the surroundings. Sheâs dressed in a dark, old-fashioned dress with lace detailing, which makes her look like a figure from another timeâa hauntingly beautiful contrast to the colorful, lively costumes all around her. Youâre dressed in a witchâs hat with a playful twist, wearing dark makeup and a long cloak that flows behind you.
Gently taking Angelaâs hand, you guide her through the crowd, careful not to lose her among the excited throngs. She sticks close to your side, occasionally glancing up at you with a small smile, as if your presence is the only thing grounding her in this unfamiliar celebration.
After wandering for a while, you pull her toward a lively little courtyard lined with pumpkin displays, its paths lined with flickering candles and skull decorations. A few tarot card readers have set up shop in shadowed alcoves, their tables draped in dark fabrics and scattered with crystals. Thereâs a palpable energy in the air, and you sense Angela relaxing as the two of you take in the sights together.
âThis is... a lot more than I expected,â she admits, her voice soft, almost lost under the sound of Halloween music playing nearby. âI didnât realize people would go so⌠all out.â Her eyes trace over the intricate costumes and decorations, a flicker of wonder breaking through her usual guarded expression.
You laugh gently, squeezing her hand. âHalloweenâs kind of like a holiday for anyone whoâs ever felt a little different. You get to be whatever you want for one night.â You nudge her lightly, giving her an encouraging smile. âAnd Iâm really glad youâre here with me.â
A warm blush creeps over Angelaâs cheeks, and she glances away shyly, smiling to herself. âI think⌠I might actually be enjoying it,â she admits. âThank you for convincing me.â
You continue exploring, and when you spot a haunted house attraction, you canât resist giving it a try. Angela tenses as you approach the entrance, her fingers tightening around yours, but she follows you inside, keeping close. As you both navigate the dark maze of rooms filled with cobwebs, eerie figures, and surprise jumpscares, Angela clings to your arm, letting out small gasps whenever a ghoul or ghostly figure pops up from the shadows. Each time, you both laugh, the thrill and shared fear bringing you closer together.
Finally, as you step outside again, the cool night air washes over you both, and Angelaâs laughter is genuine, her eyes alight with excitement you rarely see. âOkay,â she says with a shaky smile, âI think I can cross âhaunted houseâ off my list.â
You beam, delighted at her transformation. âSee? Halloween can be fun, too.â
The two of you make your way to a quieter part of the town square, where benches are lined up around a massive bonfire, casting flickering shadows across the faces of those seated nearby. The warm glow of the fire wraps around you both as you sit down, and Angela lets out a soft sigh, resting her head on your shoulder, her dark hair brushing against your cheek.
Sitting side by side, you both listen to the crackling of the fire and the distant sounds of laughter and music drifting through the air. After a few moments, Angela speaks, her voice barely above a whisper. âThank you⌠for bringing me here. I didnât think I could feel⌠comfortable like this.â Her fingers find yours again, a warmth youâre starting to cherish as much as she cherishes the safety you offer.
You glance over at her, a gentle smile spreading across your face. âYou deserve nights like this, Angela. And Iâll be here with you, whenever you need it.â
For a while, you simply sit together, watching the flames dance and feeling the warmth of each otherâs presence. Itâs a Halloween you both know youâll rememberâone of laughter, unexpected thrills, and a quiet, unspoken understanding that sometimes the best parts of life are found in shared moments like this, even on the spookiest of nights.

Where Shadows Meet
Pairing: Angela Orosco x Reader
Summary: In Silent Hill, the reader meets Angela, and together they confront their pasts. Through a cautious bond, they find comfort and begin to see a way outâno longer alone.
@fallenvervain hope you like it :)
The fog was thick, draping over Silent Hillâs empty streets in suffocating layers. Buildings stretched upward like skeletal fingers clawing at the sky, their windows hollow and dark, holding secrets that only deepened the townâs oppressive silence. You couldnât remember how you got here, nor could you shake the feeling that this place knew you somehow, in ways you didnât want to acknowledge.
As you walked, you spotted a figure up ahead, drifting through the mist. A young woman, shoulders hunched, arms wrapped around herself, as if she were trying to protect what little remained of her spirit. Something about her felt fragile yet powerful, like she carried a lifetimeâs worth of sorrow.
âAngela?â you called out softly, more of a question than a certainty.
The woman turned, startled, her face framed by dark hair, her eyes large and hollow. A flicker of confusion crossed her face before her features softened into a guarded understanding.
âYou know my name?â Her voice was delicate, barely more than a whisper, and tinged with a deep sadness that clung to every word.
âNot really,â you admitted, feeling oddly connected to her despite having only just met. âI just thought you looked⌠as lost as I feel.â
Angelaâs gaze drifted down, and for a moment, it seemed she was going to walk away. But instead, she nodded, her eyes avoiding yours. âWeâre all lost here,â she murmured, almost to herself, her voice laced with a bitter familiarity.
Without another word, she turned and began to walk, as though your presence had reminded her of her purpose. But she didnât ask you to leave. When you fell into step beside her, she didnât pull away.
âââ
The town was a maze of empty streets and forgotten buildings, each one feeling more suffocating than the last. Your footsteps echoed in the silence as if the town itself was listening, watching, waiting. The deeper you walked, the more Silent Hill seemed to close in, twisting the streets around you, the fog distorting every corner into a haunting half-memory.
At last, you both reached an abandoned apartment building, its cracked walls stained and peeling with age. Angela paused at the entrance, her gaze distant, haunted.
âItâs⌠quiet here,â she said finally, almost to herself.
You nodded, following her inside. The air was stale, the remnants of forgotten lives strewn across the floor, dust and old memories lingering in the corners. Angela found a spot along the wall and slid down, resting her back against it. Her arms wrapped around her knees, holding herself in a way that spoke of deep pain and isolation.
For a long time, you simply sat beside her, the silence between you feeling more honest than any words. Her presence was a steady weight next to you, comforting in a way you hadnât felt in a long time. Finally, Angela broke the silence, her voice as quiet and vulnerable as youâd ever heard it.
âPeople⌠they donât come to Silent Hill for happy reasons,â she said, her eyes fixed somewhere distant. âI came here to face what I thought I deserved.â
Her words hung in the air, raw and heavy, as though she was revealing a part of herself she usually kept hidden. You felt the weight of her sorrow, a feeling that mirrored your own in ways you hadnât expected.
âI donât think you deserve this at all,â you replied softly. âI donât even know you, but⌠I know that kind of pain. The kind that makes you feel like you have to suffer.â
Angelaâs gaze shifted to you, something almost like recognition in her eyes. âIs that why youâre here, too? Looking for a way to⌠make it right?â
You hesitated, the words catching in your throat. âI guess⌠Iâve been carrying things I canât let go of. And they got too heavy. I didnât even realize it until I got here.â
She was quiet for a moment, her fingers tracing a pattern on the floor. âSometimes,â she murmured, âit feels like this town is just a reflection of everything I try to bury. Like itâs showing me my pain because itâs all Iâve got left.â
You reached out, your fingers brushing hers, a small, tentative gesture. She flinched slightly, but didnât pull away. Her fingers remained just under yours, delicate and unsure.
âAngela,â you whispered, âwe donât have to do this alone. We donât have to stay here and suffer like this.â
Her hand tensed under yours, and she looked away, her eyes shining with a deep-rooted hurt. âI donât⌠I donât know how to leave. I donât know if I even want to.â
The vulnerability in her voice broke something in you. Gently, you wrapped your fingers around hers, careful not to move too quickly. She closed her eyes, her shoulders shaking as she leaned into your touch, the tension in her body slowly easing.
âIâm not saying itâll be easy,â you said softly, the words meant as much for you as for her. âBut we can start small. One step at a time. Iâll stay with you, as long as youâll have me.â
Angelaâs eyes opened, wide and cautious, as though the idea of someone staying, of someone caring, was too foreign to believe. Her fingers curled around yours, hesitant, but with a quiet strength.
You stayed like that, the two of you huddled in the empty silence of the apartment, until at last Angela shifted closer, resting her head against your shoulder. Her breath was shaky, her closeness warm, and you could feel her heartbeat, fragile and steady.
She spoke after a long time, her voice softer, almost shy. âI didnât think⌠Iâd ever feel safe. Not with anyone.â
You glanced down at her, a gentle warmth spreading in your chest. âItâs okay to feel safe with me. Iâm here for you.â
Angela looked up at you, her eyes filled with something tentative, a mix of fear and longing. Carefully, she leaned forward, her forehead resting against yours, as if the contact itself was a quiet promise. You could feel the tension between you both, a cautious closeness that was neither forced nor rushed.
For a moment, you thought about kissing her, but you waited, sensing she wasnât ready. Instead, you wrapped an arm around her shoulder, holding her in a quiet, protective embrace.
Together, you sat in the silence, letting the connection between you grow in its own time, each touch a reminder that maybe, just maybe, there was a way out of Silent Hill. A way forward that didnât involve facing the darkness alone.
âââ
When you finally stood to leave, Angela took your hand, her grip a little stronger, a little surer. And as you walked into the fog, you felt the weight of Silent Hill begin to lift, replaced by the quiet comfort of having found someone who understood.

âââ
The morning light filtered softly through the curtains, casting gentle shadows across the room. You lay in bed, listening to the quiet sounds of the world beyond the window â birds, the distant hum of traffic, the everyday life youâd once thought you might never see again. You turned your head, finding Angela still fast asleep beside you, her brow smooth, her expression peaceful in a way that made your heart ache. She looked younger in the morning light, the lines of worry softened, as if Silent Hill had never touched her.
It had been months since you left that place, but some nights the memories still clawed their way into your dreams. Youâd wake up breathless, feeling the press of fog and shadows, but then youâd reach over, feeling the warmth of Angela beside you, and it was enough to pull you back to the present. You hadnât escaped alone; youâd made it out together, two souls carrying the weight of a dark past but finding comfort in each otherâs presence.
Angela stirred, her eyes fluttering open, and when she saw you, a faint smile tugged at her lips. âGood morning,â she murmured, her voice still rough with sleep.
âMorning,â you replied softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. There was a time when Angela would flinch from any touch, but now she leaned into it, her eyes closing briefly as she savored the warmth. These small moments were reminders of how far youâd both come â from strangers bound by shared horrors to something deeper, something steady and warm.
She sat up slowly, wrapping herself in the blankets, and you noticed the small scars on her arms, the faint lines that told her story. She noticed your gaze and pulled her sleeve down, but you gently reached out, taking her hand in yours.
âWeâre still here,â you said, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. âWe made it through.â
Angelaâs eyes softened, though there was a shadow lingering in them, a flicker of memories she couldnât completely bury. âSometimes I still feel like itâs waiting for me,â she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. âLike if I close my eyes too long, Iâll be back there.â
You nodded, understanding. âI feel it too, sometimes. But weâre here. Weâve got each other. And⌠itâs okay to feel that way.â You ran your thumb across her knuckles, grounding both of you in the present. âWeâre not alone anymore.â
Angela met your gaze, a glimmer of something vulnerable and tender shining through. âI donât think Iâd be here if it werenât for you,â she whispered, her voice filled with a quiet intensity. âAfter everything⌠you stayed.â
You leaned closer, resting your forehead against hers, breathing in her presence. âAnd Iâll keep staying,â you replied softly. âNo matter what.â
A small smile tugged at her lips, and for a moment, the room was filled with warmth, a promise unspoken but understood.
The day went on with the quiet routines youâd both come to cherish â the smell of coffee, the comfort of familiar spaces, the peacefulness that settled into the corners of your home. There were times when the shadows crept back in, when one of you would startle at a noise or flinch from a memory. But each time, youâd be there for each other, reminding yourselves that Silent Hill was in the past.
That night, as you lay together in the quiet darkness, Angela reached for your hand, her fingers intertwining with yours. âThank you,â she whispered, her voice soft, raw with a gratitude that went beyond words. âFor⌠everything.â
You squeezed her hand gently, feeling the steady beat of her pulse. âWe saved each other,â you murmured, pulling her close, feeling her warmth against you. âAnd weâll keep doing that, no matter what.â
In that moment, with Angela beside you and the quiet hum of life filling the spaces around you, you felt something close to peace. The shadows might linger, but together, you knew you could face whatever came next.

Between Shadows and Silent Hills
Pairing: Angela Orosco x Fem!Reader
Summary: In Silent Hill, Reader sees terrifying creatures that Angela canât. Despite Angelaâs confusion, they form a quiet bond, facing the townâs darkness together and promising to protect each other.
@fallenvervain hope you like it. enjoy! :)
âââ
Silent Hill lay before you, its streets shrouded in thick fog and a silence that felt somehow too loud. Each footfall was swallowed by the mist, yet every shadow seemed to pulse with life. You'd been in tough spots before â your muscles were a testament to the years spent honing yourself, fighting your way through hardships youâd rather forget. But Silent Hill was different. Here, the fight felt personal, like the town itself was watching, waiting for a reason to tear you apart.
Beside you, Angela clung to herself, arms wrapped tightly around her thin frame. You could see the lines of worry and pain etched deep into her face, but when you looked into her eyes, it was like looking into a mirror that reflected not just fear, but something broken. Sheâd been through her own battles, battles you couldnât see but could feel in the way she kept her shoulders hunched, gaze darting to shadows that seemed to bleed out of her mind more than the mist.
Your guard was up, senses hyper-attuned, when you spotted the first one â a figure crawling low to the ground, all limbs and jagged movements, its skin a twisted lattice of wounds. Without hesitating, you raised your weapon and fired. The sound tore through the fog.
Angela flinched, her head whipping around to you, eyes wide with confusion and fear. âWhatâwhat are you shooting at?â she asked, her voice trembling as she backed up, wary.
You kept your eyes locked on the creature, but it was gone, like it had melted back into the mist. âThere was something there. It came out of the alley.â You pointed to the place it had been, flexing your fingers as you lowered your gun. The lingering adrenaline made you tense, like you could face ten more of those things if you had to.
Angela just shook her head slowly. âI didnât⌠I donât see anything,â she whispered, brows furrowed as if you were suddenly more frightening than the fog around her. "Are you seeing something different?"
âMaybe.â You glanced down at your hands, the strong, scarred hands that had pulled you through plenty of dark places, but this felt different. âSilent Hill â Iâve heard it shows people things. Personal things. The monsters, the⌠the nightmares. Theyâre different for everyone.â
Angelaâs gaze dropped, her arms tightening around herself as she looked away. âThen⌠what are you seeing?â She sounded small, vulnerable in a way that made your chest ache. She clearly had her own ghosts, ones she might not be ready to face. But still, she didnât walk away, even as you tried to put words to the horrors you were seeing.
You swallowed, lowering your voice. âItâs hard to explain. Theyâre like⌠people, but broken. Twisted bodies. Faces, sometimes. Ones I know.â You hesitated, wondering how much you should say. âItâs like something wants me to remember. Or to pay for something.â
Angela nodded, her eyes dark and shadowed as if she understood all too well. Her fingers dug into her arms, nails pressed hard enough to leave marks. âI think⌠this town, it pulls things out of people. Things we try to forget.â She glanced up at you, her gaze both hesitant and probing. âWhy are you⌠I mean, whatâs keeping you here?â
The question caught you off-guard, but you shrugged, the tension making your muscles flex instinctively, like your body was primed for another fight. âI came here for someone. Someone I lost a long time ago.â Your eyes softened as you looked at her, and you almost let down your guard before you felt something lurch out of the shadows again.
This time, it was a grotesque figure, thin and tall with arms stretching down to the ground, the fingers like clawed, skeletal branches reaching out for you. It was wearing an expression, almost mocking in its familiarity â it looked like someone youâd failed before. Heart pounding, you took aim and shot twice, the figure reeling back before dissipating into the mist.
Angela gasped, taking a step back, her hand going up to her mouth. She blinked, looking at you as if waiting for an explanation.
You let out a shaky breath, lowering the gun. âI told you,â you said, voice a bit quieter now. âIâm seeing things. My things.â
Angela looked at you for a long time, the fog swirling around you both as she took in your tense stance, the fierce set of your jaw, the strength of your body â like you were made to face these monsters head-on. âI canât⌠I canât see them,â she whispered, almost apologetic. âBut maybe thatâs a good thing.â
You stepped closer to her, letting your broad shoulders block some of the fog around her. âMaybe. But if theyâre not coming after you, Iâll make sure they donât get to you. You donât have to see them to know theyâre here.â
For a moment, Angelaâs hand reached out, hovering near your arm before she finally placed it there, her fingers brushing over the solid muscle, grounding herself. She seemed comforted by the strength you carried, as if she knew that it could keep the shadows at bay.
âI donât know why youâre helping me,â she murmured. Her eyes were full of memories, each one a wound that hadnât healed, and in her gaze, you saw a hint of admiration, of wonder at how you could face the things she couldnât see. But maybe, to her, your presence was a reminder that she didnât have to face them alone.
You gave her a small, reassuring smile, even as you kept an eye on the darkness around you. âBecause no one should have to go through this alone.â And in that moment, despite the horrors that lurked beyond your vision, you both found a quiet understanding â a promise to keep each other from being swallowed whole by the shadows that lingered in Silent Hill.

A Little Hope
Pairing: Angela Orosco x Reader
Summary: You and Angela adopt a little kitten named Hope, whose gentle presence brings warmth and comfort to your lives, helping to create a new sense of happiness in your home together.
@fallenvervain hope you like it, enjoy! :) (sorry for the delay in posting; I was out all day)
âââ
You and Angela had been talking about getting a pet for weeks now. It felt like a big step forward, and neither of you wanted to rush it. But recently, Angela had been going through a tough time, and you knew that having a little creature to care for might bring some comfort to her. After a bit of convincing, she finally agreed. So, you found yourselves on a bright Saturday morning walking together to the local animal shelter, fingers laced, each of you smiling softly at the possibilities that lay ahead.
Angelaâs steps were hesitant but determined, her gaze flitting to each of the cages as you made your way down the hallway. "I wonder if any of them will like me," she murmured quietly, her cheeks flushed.
You gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "How could they not? Youâre going to be an amazing cat mom."
Her face softened at your words, a hint of a smile appearing. You knew how much she needed reassurance sometimes, especially with how guarded she could be. But here, in this shared moment, it felt like you both were building something specialâtogether.
Finally, you entered the kitten room, where several tiny cats and kittens were lounging around, some playful, some drowsy. Angelaâs eyes scanned the room, uncertain, until a small gray tabby caught her eye from across the room. The little kitten was curled up in a cozy corner, her green eyes wide and curious as she looked up at you both. As you and Angela approached, the kitten tilted her head, watching you intently, and let out the tiniest, softest meow.
Angela's face softened into a look of pure wonder. "Oh⌠sheâs beautiful," she whispered, reaching out carefully as if the kitten was made of porcelain. The little tabby stared up at her, and after a second, her tiny paw stretched forward, tapping Angelaâs fingers with the softest, most trusting touch. Angela let out a gentle laugh, a sound so sweet it warmed your heart.
You could tell Angela was already in love. âI think she chose you,â you said with a smile, watching as Angela scooped the kitten up in her arms, her movements so careful and gentle, as if afraid the tiny creature might disappear.
Angela brought the kitten close to her chest, and the kitten immediately nuzzled into her, a soft purr rumbling from her tiny frame. âShe feels so warm,â Angela murmured, almost to herself, running a delicate finger over the kittenâs soft fur. âItâs like sheâs meant to be here.â
Watching her, you felt a surge of warmth and happiness yourself. Angela looked different like thisâlighter, even a little bit at peace. It was rare to see her so open, so content, and this kitten seemed to bring out something in her that even you hadnât seen before.
You filled out the adoption paperwork while Angela stayed with the kitten, softly speaking to her, and letting the little one rub her face against her hand. By the time everything was finalized, Angela seemed attached in a way youâd never expected. When you suggested names on the walk home, Angela surprised you by saying she wanted to name the kitten Hope. âBecause⌠well,â she hesitated, looking at you with a vulnerability that took you by surprise. âSheâs like a little light. Something soft, something that makes things better.â
You nodded, reaching out to gently tuck a strand of hair behind Angelaâs ear. âHope it is. Sheâs perfect, Angela. Just like you.â
As the days passed, Hope settled in like she was always meant to be part of your little family. She brought a warmth and happiness you hadnât fully realized you needed. In the mornings, youâd wake to find Hope nestled on Angelaâs chest, her tiny paws pressed against Angelaâs cheek, the two of them sharing some unspoken bond.
One evening, you found Angela curled up on the couch, Hope in her lap as she absentmindedly stroked her soft fur. There was something peaceful about the scene, and you couldnât help but sit down next to her, wrapping your arm around her shoulders. âShe really loves you,â you whispered, and Angela turned to you with the softest, happiest expression.
âShe⌠saved me, in a way,â she said, her voice quiet. âI didnât think I could⌠feel so much comfort just by being near something so small. But she⌠she gives me hope. And you give me hope, too.â
Your heart felt like it was going to burst. Leaning over, you kissed her temple and then placed a soft kiss on Hopeâs tiny head. âThe three of us⌠weâre a family now,â you whispered, feeling like you were promising something unbreakable.
Angela nestled closer to you, her fingers still petting Hope, her expression peaceful. âI never thought Iâd get a chance at happiness like this,â she whispered. âThank you. For everything.â
And as the night stretched on, the three of you cuddled together on the couch, feeling like youâd finally found home. In that quiet moment, with Angelaâs head on your shoulder and Hopeâs gentle purring filling the silence, you realized just how perfect everything feltâlike youâd both found the warmth, love, and, yes, the hope youâd both been searching for.
