can you give me some suggestions for alternatives to “Y/N blushed”? It honestly didn’t occur to me in my past fics that saying that wasn’t inclusive and I want to fix it.

Personally I think say that reader blushed without including the color— eg. “blushed a bright pink” “their face turned a deep red” — is fine (sorry if I stated otherwise 😭)

Cause POC people still blush. Our faces still heat up. Whether it’s visible or not? That’s the question.

But if you still want alt ways here are some I’ve seen in fics.

“Their face felt hot”

“Their cheeks burned”

“Their cheeks heated”

“Their face warms”

“Their face flushed” (some people might be iffy on this one, personally I don’t have a problem)

I find any descriptors that don’t use color are neutral so it can work for everyone cause obviously some people can’t turn bright red :)

I can try to give you advice but I can almost guarantee you aren't going to like it 😭

the law of assumption is so heavily based on the inner workings of self. that means working on mindset and your belief in how manifesting works for YOU. so as much as I hate to say it, work on your mindset. you thinking that your manifestations aren't here is like the exact opposite of how the law works. persist in the assumption that you have what you want. not persist for a second then check the 3D, live in the 4D. THATS whats real. and then when you finally accept the 4D as true, not caring abt the 3D it will have no choice but to reflect. 3D reflects self, if you yourself don't believe it's working then obviously it's not. I do not give a FUCK about likes or reblogs i can assure you of that and you can tell by how often I go MIA on any given platform like im doing ts for ME bitch. If i write some shit about my experience that is for ME, if people have similar experiences and share them I like geekin with them about it. that's it that's all. the mindset that EVERYONE that posts about LOA and shifting are coming to do it for likes and attention is such a selfish mindset (that I am guilty of formerly having). When people manifest it changes virtually nothing for anyone else but them. half of the people who share success stories are sending them in anonymously to their fav loa blogs and then dipping. they get no likes and no real attention from that cause no one knows who tf they are. work on you and the universe will work FOR you.

it’s never that serious ppl make black reader fics all the time if they don’t have those small details the fic will js be boring☠️

It is that serious bc I think it’s that serious 🤷🏽‍♀️ and no they don’t??? What planet are you living on the only time I ever see black reader fics is if by chance a POC writer had one of their fics get attention and that rarely happens either. Those “small details” can be altered, and not even majorly, to include at least the rest of the population in race. I’m not saying it has to be every single fic that needs to be inclusive towards everyone (though that would be nice) but asking for at least half of the fics that flood the tags to have, at the very least, neutral descriptions doesn’t sound like a big ask.

PS - if you’re depending on the reader being able to flush red like a tomato or throw her hair up in a cute messy bun for a story to be engaging and entertaining you can hop on over to Wattpad and read the x reader fics there; it’s their specialty.

tumblr? hopefully that’s what you mean 😭😭 but tags are your best friend on here to find anything or get reach on your posts. things don’t have to be all cutesy and aesthetic but if you want to the site i use for the text colors is this! (click on the word underlined!) all you have to do is choose the colors, copy, come on to here (on desktop only i think 😖) the three dots on top of the post you should see something that says “rich text” switch it to HTML and paste, then switch it back to rich text and voila!

for borders and such i use @cafekitsune but you can probably look up borders to find some.

💜 Blessed Be, Bwitches! For those of you who have been with me from the beginning, the second book of April Asher's Supernatural Singles series was one of my first ARC reviews on this blog. I'm so grateful that I got the chance to read the third, featuring the somewhat shy, beyond witty and witchy Olive. April Asher EXCELS at using spunky prose, nerd-tastic references, and dizzying dialogue to drag readers into the Maxwell found family. The moment I picked up this book, it felt like talking to an old friend for the first time in too long. The prose is active, engaging, and unique, breathing life to a sassy, badass cast of characters. I also adored the story's underlying message. The risks you take in life, the decisions you make to move that life forward, mean little without the right people beside you.

💜 Fingers crossed we're not done with the Supernatural Singles series yet. April Asher, please tell me Harper gets some love in the *fingers crossed* next installment?

🦇 What upset me most about this book was finishing it. Olive and Bax are adorable together while still bringing plenty of Thai-level-five spice. Anything more would have dragged the story on too long, but I'm definitely going to be sporting a book hangover this week, craving more of that wicked prose!

🦇 In all seriousness, I do wish sex hadn't entered the plot so soon, giving Olive and Bax more time to develop their friendship instead. Bax's father feels a bit one-dimensional as a villain (I expected more layers behind his motivations, which mainly boils down to reputation). Of the three books in this series, there's the least amount of magic in this one, which was a bit of a disappointment. The premise of Olive being "at risk" because of the Dare I Docket feels a bit weak, too. I expected one of Vi's bounties to potentially put Olive's life at risk, or someone using magic to steal the grant from her--some additional source of conflict to drive the story forward. As much as I loved the sweet fluff, this story needed more tension.

🦇 Recommended to fans of witty, witchy prose, the best romance tropes, and charming characters. Add a little magic to your life with the Supernatural Singles series!
