I saw this a little while ago from @andsotoshop and wanted to share. I’m still selling online during the #covid_19 outbreak. In fact I’m building a @shopify shop as well as selling on wonderful @Etsy. I’m trying to teach my two girls too which we are definitely settling in to more a rhythm with now. I’ve been working before they wake up and then doing their school work with them and working on my own work again at lunchtime and after school. I am carefully and safely going to the post office once a week and still shipping Internationally. My business will be our only income for now so please share the hell out of this. All my products are now in my @Etsy sale. There are some lovely memory boxes on there that I would never normally offer at that price but it’s an incentive so the work can keep flowing. Maybe look at a memory box to look at and collect photos with your kids or have one send direct to a new baby or grandparent you can’t visit. My personalised doggy crates are becoming very popular ! RANT... I'm losing my love for Etsy. Not only have my sales dropped tremendously so far this year (last 18 months) I feel that any sale I do have is swallowed by so many fees. I've always spoken highly of Etsy but I find myself competing on pages and pages of factory produced items marketing as hand painted 🤷‍♀️ these undercut all other sellers and are getting the prime placements in searches. I feel Etsy has lost what it was originally about. Yes I've done well on Etsy (over 10,000 sales since I started selling on there) and I won't be leaving just yet but I'm questioning my journey of how I continue this coming year. This list of costings are for Etsy alone and doesn't include my own expenses (ss, accountant, tax, etc). Most other handmade selling sites are UK only. Has anyone else got any good sites to sell on? I've been accepted to Amazon Handmade so maybe I should go and concentrate on there? Any advice?
