The supposed deal is that the winner gets an extra 50k ONLY if BOTH TA members are the F2. So Derrick does need Frankie to win the extra money...

No, according to Jokers they don't need to be together in the final two - one of them just has to win to get the 50k. Derrick's actual statement was "the only way one of us is guaranteed to get it is if we're both in the final two", as in if they're up against a non-TA member who wins then neither of them will get the 50k.

That's weird to explain but hopefully it makes sense haha.
