The Blue Springs by Andrzej Kocot The Blue Springs nature reserve - a landscape nature reserve located in the south-eastern part of Tomaszów Mazowiecki, in the Tomaszów poviat, in the Łódź voivodeship. The reserve is located in the buffer zone of the Sulejowski Landscape Park, which is part of the Nadpiliczne Landscape Parks complex. The reserve was established to protect the picturesque blue karst springs and to preserve the refuges of numerous bird species. On its territory there is an alder forest which is their refuge. The reserve also includes the strongly pulsating limnocrene-type springs that give rise to the Jana River. Their charm lies in the fact that the sand is knocked out of the bottom by the sand, which when seen through the water surface has a unique blue-blue-green color, the shades of which depend on the weather, the degree of sunlight or cloud cover .
