Why is it so difficult to just get an mp3 file on my phone or ipad with A: coverart and B: into albums (that I can rearrange as wanted)
all I am trying to do is get my (legitimately obtained(!)) audiobooks onto a mobile device. Why do I have to pay a subscription service to add custom artwork because the metadata isn't working correctly. Why does the iPad seemingly have NO WAY to add a simple file to the books app. Why does everything want me to either pay money for a simple function or download a third party ap (with in app purchases for the things I want)
Why was this easier when my mp3 device was literally a USB stick with an aux plug and a screen.
#look i know the answer is capitalism#its still ANNOYING#I should be able to drag and drop files and just have them work or download them and have them work#but basic functionality is now gated behind money#android doesn't seem to have a native mp3 player. WHY
