Thursday nights (Bruce x GNreader)
Bruce lost Jason about a month ago, everything is reminding him of his failure as batman to protect his robin. Failing as a father to protect his son. He ends up downtown and hungry so he turns to “Jet’s pizza” where he meets you, the late shift server.
------
“Your new.”
Bruce looked up surprised to hear a lively voice so late at night, “I’ve lived in Gotham my whole life.” He responded while sliding into the high bar.
“Anyone would know that, Bruce Wayne.” They said his name with a weird inflection, “but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s 1am and I have my regulars on a Thursday afternoon and you,” They paused and stared Bruce right in the eyes. “are not one of them.”
“Do you want me to leave?” He easily questioned back.
“No, you’re just new. I like new.”
Bruce hummed from his spot. There was only one other person here, a girl with pink cat headphones scribbling in a book.
“Can I interest you in anything? Or do you just want to sit there and brood?” They game back, still smiling and placed a cup of water and a coffee down.
Looking up Bruce saw a lopsided smile and a promise of understanding. Something about you, this random person he met made him open up. He wanted to talk to you, Bruce wanted to cry.
“Advice.”
“You want advice?”
“If you have it.” Bruce responded coolly.
“Well, that’s not on the menu but I’ll gladly oblige.” They smiled and pressed their arms on the counter leaning forward slightly as they did so.
“Grief, how do I get over it?” Bruce stared down at his coffee. He hadn’t spoken to anyone about it, and now he didn’t feel like a person, a whole person at least.
“Ah,” a longer pause followed, where you also looked down, “you just, you just gotta come to terms with it. Death is something that comes to everyone, even the people who should have longer.” you turned to the ceiling, “but you gotta find something that makes you happy first. You need to smile again before you can get over anything.”
“Nothing makes me happy.” Bruce started to channel in batman the longer you spoke, this was stupid, he wasn’t going to get over Jason.
“REAlly? Nothing makes you happy?” The server leaned back over.
Bruce shrugged.
“Well then,” THey slamed their ands on the counter, “cake and a good conversation alwasy make me happy so lets try that out with you.”
“Sure,” Bruce smiled to himself, “we can try that.”

Thanks for answering my question about asks and requests (: you are very kind
As an ask then how do you think the Weasels will be when drunk? I don't think they are all so inclined to drink, Stu for example seems too childlike for it, but it's a fun scenario to imagine 🍷
Of course!! ^^ Sorry it took me a moment to respond to this one, work is exhausting 😅
~
Toon Patrol x Drinking
Greasy: Greasy values his wit and self control (... when it doesn't involve pretty women I mean) too much to partake. Even if everyone else is drinking and acting like drongos around him he'll be sharp as a knife.
Psycho: L o v e s to try a new drink XD According to him they're like little gas leaks in his mouth and chest and he loves the horrible feeling! XD Generally Psy wont get d r u n k, cuz he only tries a few sips each time, but if Stu is on a roll with making them then Psycho w i l l end up pissed and thats not good for anyone 😅 If you thought e was feral before- you haven't seen him on all fours moving at Top Speed.
I raise you (or anyone else who may feel compelled to respond XD ) another thought: Psycho and energy drinks XD
Smartass: Honestly I cant really see Smartass drinking that much 🤔 if ever 🤔 I feel like people will disagree with me but... eh. Maybe sometimes he'll have something? If he's REALLY stressed and annoyed?? XD
Stupid: I actually think Stupid w o u l d be a drinker!! XD I dunno, to each their own of course!! ^^💛💛💛 I just don't really think of Stupid as childlike. I think of him as d u m b, of course, really really dumb, but not childlike. I think he'd be the one experimenting with mixes and different cocktails?? XD Just imagining Stu in the kitchen shaking up a drink and offering a taste to Psy and Wheezy XD And Stu taking on the group therapist mantel when he's got that shaker in his ands, like *hands Wheezy a pink drink like a flower* duhh are you okay?? do ya wanna talk about it?? And Smartass automatically handing the drink menu over to him (Which Stu immediately ours through, like 'ooh!') if they go out XD Stu is a big boy, too, so its hard for him to get truly h a m m e r e d, but he can get there XDD Luckily, he's a nice drunk! XD
Wheezy: Wheezy can f o r s u r e hold his booze the best XD It takes a lot to get him drunk (even tipsy). If he drinks, it doesn't really take away any of his inhibitions; its just to loosen up. He's definitely one to go for a few drinks at the end of the week (He needs it after working with these freaks XD)... but its usually interrupted with a. Greasy being there and hitting on someone and him having to bail Greasy's horny green ass outta trouble (Unless he just ignores it, which is more common. But even then Greasy will d r a g him into it XD *Greasy getting dragged from the pub* el fumador help meeee! i'm being falsely accused!! Wh- dont ignore me!- hey! you with the body odor!!- fucks sake.), b. Smartass drags them back to work. In either case, he is sure to down s o m e t h i n g before he's gotta get up off the bar stool he feels he belongs on.

Random Corporate Clash Headcanons, Stealing Andes Mints from Olive Garden Edition
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Buck, Dave, Ben, Brian, and Belle are the ones doing the heist.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Buck wanted the Andes Mints so he asked Ben for help who asked Dave, Brian, and Belle for help so they could come up with a well planned heist.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Brian is the brains of the operation and does most of the planning.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Belle distracts the front desk employees by starting a really, really long conversation asking about each individual menu item. And the worker is obligated to answer ALL questions from customers about the menu.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Ben and Dave distract some other workers by gossipping loudly amongst themselves as well as Ben acting as the alarm to signal to everyone what phase they're in.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Buck just has to go in and do the actual stealing part.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️But being Buck he ruins the entire plan by not doing any of the steps Brian instructed him to do because what's the thrill of that?
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️They all run away.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Some of the Olive Garden employees try to yell at them, but they don't get paid enough to call the cops or anything because all they stole were some Andes Mints.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️The five of them divide their earnings amongst themselves.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Yum!
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Buck gets sick because he ate all of his at once.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Belle gives them to her grandchildren except one for herself.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Ben keeps them in his pocket and has them over the span of a few days.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Dave eats them over the course of a single day but doesn't get sick.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Brian, well... nobody's sure what he did with his share. Does he even LIKE Andes Mints? Nobody knows. Hey, wait a minute, why did he even agree to this in the first place?
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Turns out he shorted everyone a single Andes Mint so he could have more for himself.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️They will fight over it when they find out what Brian did.
🎰🎹🔔🧠☎️Brian is out of commission for three weeks.

opinions on open world/creative/base building games
the one thing that always gets me about games that either are centered on or have elements pertaining to being able to build stuff like a base/house or a city or reshaping the world to your liking is that they always leave out some key elements that are practically quintessencial to engaging with the building at all
speaking from experience (and from playing acnh recently) those types of games either dont encourage the player enough to put effort into things or the things you can build end up having little to no practical purpose
the first game that comes to mind of the latter is vanilla minecraft. arguably infinite possibilities, but you're limited to the blocky style and you can quite easily beat the game and go on for irl/ in- game years without building a base at all. let alone homes or cities, since theres only you and villagers but they arent really company since theyre too busy hrrrnging their way with other villagers. theyre just a game element and i doubt anyone ever thought of them as genuine npcs. you can build castles, spaceships, anything! but theyll always be unnecessary compared to shutting yourself in a dirt hut - or villagers for that case. and even if you ignore that (and modding ands multiplayer for that case lol) then you still have to come up with the ideas for actual buildings yourself, AND then. even if you have everything in mind. building it is so painful, even with scaffolding. ive seen this opinion multiple times but minecraft simply doesnt benefit from its survival aspect. theres nothing thats worth digging all that ground and building that huge castle when it comes to time spent. its so cumbersome and unfun
the sims' house building id say is practically unparalleled - though it has plenty of limits (and furnishings behind paywalls of course) it still suffers because youre not an actual player. that house is for sims only, for people that arent you. and even if you could play there, you'd still be stuck in the game world that you cant influence like you can house lots.
while i havent played it, theres also technically house flipper but its one of those simulator games that dont have much in replayable/satisfying game loops to keep you going, and your house isnt the center point either. it also suffers from the no npc things. youre fixing houses, yet its all done through menus and no interaction (which id say works well for the game's workflow, but not belivability imo)
then theres something like terraria. it gets bonus points from having a housing system, but it still doesnt ask enough of the player and because of its genre ive always found it annoying to have to build their houses anyways. a huge majority of the good blocks are gated behind the end game, and by the time you get to build a nice house, you practically dont even need one. the enemies can also be countered somewhat easily and the npcs are, again, just that. shopkeepers that most of the time just die like boss fodder. ironically that always encouraged me to build their houses far away so they dont die.. not very helpful in creating a sense of community
the forest has a really good system and a lot of replayability, though there are barely any furnishings and everything is made out of logs. of course its not meant to be the end-all of building games and its focused on survival, but you have very good reasons to build a base, and you can get quite creative with them
and last but not least, the one that made me think about and write about this in the first place - new horizons. the creativity it allows is amazing. there are many screenshots that are incredible and barely look like the game at all. and even though there are literal hundreds of villagers and theyre more expressive than ever, they still fall flat. the islands, again, can be amazing. but almost everything is entirely cosmetic, the predefined paths and fences are very limited and so are the color choice for furnitures (though im guessing a lot if not all of these are limitations due to the console hardware/storage size). they have nicely introduced more custom design spaces and even a horizontal mirroring tool, but not an actual tiling editor.. even with the dlc they introduce stuff like wall partitions and room resizing, but the partitions can only use the main wallpaper and you cant resize the rooms in your house. and even though its nice to have a nice house, again.. outside multiplayer, theres not much purpose to them (SPECIALLY when i have to sit through loading screens to get to any of them. are you kidding me??). at best you can have a toilet to get rid of the fruit points, a kitchen for cooking and i guess a bedroom for going to dream towns.. or you could have a bed, an oven and a toilet in your room. you know. ugh
it has a lot of strengths with the kind of toy/dollhouse vibe(??) its going for, like how the house's insides are completely different from their outsides but it also means you cant have cute stuff like seeing your island from outside, seeing your villagers through windows, or just having an actual big house n stuff.
idk man.. they always seem to either lack a reason to build, or if they give you reasons to build theyre so weak you can often just not build at all. maybe im asking too much but is there ever gonna be a game that gives you a reason to build and keep going at the same time? :(
imagine if you still had villagers like acnh, but they had good dialogue and commented on your stuff/decisions, while also only moving in because you built a shop or a market or a city to live in. and the reason you built that is because your goal in-game is to be a chef or an adventurer or something, and you werent limited to an island or pre-made furniture.. something in-between the sims' cartoony realistic proportions and acnh's childish toy designs when it comes to aesthetics.. could you imagine

Best movie based ps2 games? What video game based on movies did you actually enjoy?
OOF, I've never played a lot of them, so forgive me for the short list, lol. I do like the Coraline, Toy Story 3, and the Bratz series on PS2.
Coraline was a nice way to spend a rainy day inside, has some puzzle stuff, and is easy to beat. The game's incentive to replay the campaign is to earn more in-game currency (I think it was buttons?) to unlock her other movie outfits and I think that's neat.
Toy Story 3 is a lot more platformy and collectible/completionist-based for rewards like cosmetics and I think buffs too?, with mini missions in the main menu hub. It also adds new campaign missions that aren't exactly what you see in the movie, like Woody's dining room mission in Andy's house and the plant motif in bonnie's house. I played it a lot to complete everything, lol.
The Bratz games are ones I've never seen the movies they're based on besides the cutscenes inserted into the games, lol. It's a cute game that focuses on fashion more than anything (except girlz really rock which has music, fashion designer, dancing, skydiving, and golf sections). And surprisingly, different installments have different features? kinda difficult to explain but some locations that youve played in before in another game are locked in another, pet treatz mini-games only show up in forever diamondz, and different games include diff fashion brands. I personally like Rock Angelz and Girlz Really Rock cuz I like my music games, lol. RA for the mix of british punk and sophisticated french aesthetics, and GRR for the story ands the amount of stuff that's included in that game.
#ask for moi#coraline ps2#toy story 3 ps2#bratz ps2#thanks for asking!#also the LEGO Star Wars games slaps#I didn't include them here because there are no LEGO star wars movies specifically lol just reg star wars#i went out of my way to get my hands on every bratz game as a kid and i was ashamed lol#now idc i still like playing them as an adult LOL

10 Reasons to Choose Quito
Ecuador's capital, Quito, is well worth a visit. Here are 10 reasons why you should visit the bustling metropolis at almost 3,000 meters above sea level. Are you worried about your stay in Quito? Worry no more! You can find many of the Best hotels in the City Center to make your journey more comfortable.
1. Quito – the middle of the world
With its location at 2,850 meters, Quito is not only the closest to the sun but also the only place in the world where you can stand with one foot in the northern hemisphere & the other in the southern hemisphere. If you balance on the equatorial line, you can feel the energy emanating from the middle of the world. Thanks to this exceptional location, Quito has outstanding natural and climatic diversity.
2. Quito's Old Town
The historic city center is considered the largest and best preserved in the Americas and is the reason why Quito has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among the cultural jewels in the old town are for example, the baroque church Compañía de Jesús, the Plaza Grande, the church of San Francisco, or the street La Ronda with its workshops of long-forgotten crafts. Quito's old town is a living museum.
3. Quito's Kitchen
The culinary delights of the Andean metropolis are part of every travel program. Quito's gastronomy is given a very special touch by mixing traditional dishes with Andean and Spanish influences. The potato soup Locro de papas, Seco de chivo, fritada, empanadas, or the boiled corn rolls Envueltos, served with a hearty sauce from aji and tropical fruits for dessert – this is just an excerpt from a traditional menu in Quito.
4. Quito's craftsmanship
In colonial times, Quito was considered a business center, and the city has retained this reputation to this day. In the historic city center, we find workshops of professions that we thought were long extinct, including traditional hairdressers, milliners, candle makers, basket weavers, tailors, and herbalists. Some of the most crucial workshops, such as those of Oswaldo Viteri, Oswaldo Guayasamín, Luigi Stonornaiolo, or Eduardo Kingman, are open to visitors.
5. Quito's Culture
Every corner of the city tells stories from times gone by, a diverse cultural offer with exhibitions, theatre, music, or film screenings brings them back to life. Among the most important museums in Quito are the Casa de El Alabado with its extraordinary pre-Columbian collection, the Museum de Cera, the Sucre Theater, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the House of Music. The museums in the area, such as the museums of Tulipe, Rumipamba, or La Florida, offer an insight into past cultures. You can find many Best Hotels in Quito Old Town.
6. Quito's Nightlife
Leisure activities for all tastes and budgets. The highest density of restaurants, cafes, bars, and discos can be found in the neighborhoods of La Mariscal, La Floresta, Guápulo, and La Carolina. Music, gastronomy, and parties with a large portion of Ecuadorian joie de vivre awaken the desire to turn night into day
7. Quito's Railway
The Chimbacalle district is the starting point of the "most difficult train ride in the world", which has now become a famous tourist attraction. Aboard the train, passengers can watch the landscapes pass by from the Andes to the coast and experience Ecuador from a new angle.
8. Quito's Shopper's Paradise
Souvenirs are part of every trip. In Quito, shoppers can expect a huge selection of shopping opportunities. The Quicentro shopping mall is home to international fashion labels, while the La Floresta and La Mariscal districts are known for their galleries. Shops such as El Quinde in the old town specialize in typical handicrafts, and art lovers will find what they are looking for in El Ejido.
9. Quito's surroundings
Just an hour from Quito, you will find yourself in the middle of unspoiled nature. Typical haciendas offer refuge from the harsh Andean climate, and guests can pass the time with horseback riding, spa visits, or hikes. To the northeast, the cloud forest awaits with its mystical beauty. With over 500 species of birds, including the national hummingbird, this region makes ornithologists' hearts beat faster.
10. Quito – Gateway to Ecuador
Quito is not only a worthwhile destination but also offers access to the other highlights of Ecuador. Unveiling the Rosemary Riddle: Are Hamsters Safe to Munch on this Fragrant Herb?
Hey there, hamster enthusiasts! Today, let's dive into the aromatic world of rosemary and explore whether it's a safe treat for our furry friends. 🌿🐹
Can Hamsters Eat Rosemary? A Fragrant but Risky Herb for Hamsters
Rosemary, that delightful herb from the Rosmarinus officinalis plant, is a double-edged sword for hamsters. Packed with goodies like carnosic acid and rosmarinic acid, offering antioxidant and anti-inflammatory perks, it's a flavorful seasoning. But hold on – those volatile oils can spell trouble in large amounts. The mantra? Moderation is the key to a happy hamster tummy.
Introducing Rosemary to Your Hamster's Diet
Picture this: your hamster nibbling on aromatic rosemary leaves. In moderation, this herb brings not just a delightful aroma but also antioxidants, digestive soothing, and an overall health boost.
Benefits of Feeding Rosemary to Hamsters
Let's break down the good stuff:
Rosmarinic acid: The antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial champ.
Carnosic acid: Battling free radicals like a superhero.
Borneol and cineole: Calming the tummy and fighting off indigestion.
Flavonoids like hesperidin: Boosting that immune system.
Carnosol: Supporting the liver's backstage work and detoxifying the system.
Essential nutrients: Hello, vitamin A, calcium, and iron – keeping vision sharp, bones strong, and energy levels on point.
Risks of Feeding Rosemary to Hamsters
Now, every rose has its thorn. Overfeeding rosemary could lead to:
Unwanted visits from liver or kidney issues due to those potent oils and acids.
Mouth and tummy troubles from the abrasive leaves.
Reproductive hiccups if your hamster goes overboard on camphor.
Nutritional imbalances if rosemary takes over the main menu.
Concentrated danger in dried rosemary powder – handle with care!
Symptoms of Rosemary Poisoning in Hamsters
Keep your hamster radar on for signs like lethargy, weakness, or tummy turmoil. If you suspect a rosemary overdose, it's vet time – no ifs, ands, or buts.
How Much Rosemary Can You Give a Hamster?
Hold your hamster reins – limit rosemary to a cozy 1-2 times per week, whether it's a sprinkle of dried goodness or a fresh sprig. Gauge your hamster's vibe and back off at the first sign of trouble.
Alternatives and Supplements
If rosemary's not the rave, consider alternatives like basil, dill, parsley, carrot tops, or arugula. And don't forget the power of quality hamster foods from top-notch brands for that balanced diet.
In Summary, Can Hamsters Eat Rosemary?
Yes, but in moderation! Let rosemary be the sidekick, not the hero. Observe your hamster's reaction, inching up the portions slowly if all's well. It's all about finding that balance for a happy, healthy hamster. 🌈🐾

A Culinary Journey Through Chilean Menus
Title: A Culinary Odyssey: Exploring the Rich Tapestry of Chilean Menus
Introduction:
Chile, a country nestled along the western edge of South America, is a land of diverse landscapes and cultures. Beyond its breathtaking scenery, Chile boasts a culinary scene that reflects its unique history and geography. In this culinary journey, we will explore the vibrant flavors and dishes that make up the tapestry of Chilean menus.
The Mosaic of Influences:
Chilean cuisine is a fascinating blend of indigenous Mapuche traditions, Spanish colonial influences, and the bounty of the Pacific Ocean. The result is a diverse range of flavors and textures that have evolved over centuries. From hearty stews to fresh seafood delicacies, each dish tells a story of Chile's culinary heritage.
Starters: Empanadas and Pebre
No Chilean culinary adventure is complete without starting with empanadas, a savory pastry filled with a variety of ingredients such as beef, cheese, or seafood. Empanadas come in different regional variations, each with its own unique twist. The southern regions might feature seafood-filled empanadas, while those in the central region often savor the traditional beef filling.
To complement this delightful beginning, Chileans often indulge in pebre, a zesty salsa made with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and a hint of chili. This flavorful condiment adds a kick to the empanadas and sets the stage for the meal to come.
Main Courses: Pastel de Choclo and Curanto
One of Chile's signature dishes is Pastel de Choclo, a savory pie made with a corn-based crust and filled with ground beef, chicken, onions, raisins, olives, and a hard-boiled egg. This dish is a perfect representation of the fusion between native ingredients and European culinary techniques, creating a harmony of flavors that captivates the palate.
For those seeking a taste of Chilean tradition, Curanto is a must-try. Originating from the Chiloé Archipelago, Curanto is a feast prepared by burying a mixture of seafood, meats, and potatoes in a hole lined with hot stones. The ingredients are slow-cooked to perfection, resulting in a smoky, rich flavor that captures the essence of Chilean coastal cuisine.
Seafood Extravaganza: Ceviche and Chupe de Mariscos
Given its extensive coastline, it's no surprise that Chile boasts an array of seafood dishes. Ceviche, a dish where fresh raw fish is cured in citrus juices and mixed with onions, cilantro, and chili, is a refreshing and zesty delight. The Chilean version often features local fish varieties such as sea bass or hake, showcasing the country's commitment to fresh, sustainable seafood.
Chupe de Mariscos, a seafood soup, is another seafood masterpiece. Combining an assortment of shellfish, fish, potatoes, and vegetables, this hearty dish is a celebration of Chile's maritime abundance. The broth, enriched with the essence of the ocean, makes for a soul-warming experience that highlights the country's deep connection to its coastal resources.
Desserts: Leche Asada and Alfajores
No culinary journey is complete without satisfying the sweet tooth, and Chilean desserts do not disappoint. Leche Asada, a baked milk custard, is a beloved classic. Its simplicity belies its rich, creamy texture, providing a comforting conclusion to a meal. Often served with a sprinkle of cinnamon or caramelized sugar on top, Leche Asada is a testament to Chilean desserts' ability to balance sweetness with sophistication.
Alfajores, delicate sandwich cookies filled with dulce de leche and coated in powdered sugar, are a delectable treat with Spanish roots. Found in bakeries across Chile, these indulgent delights showcase the country's knack for creating desserts that are both elegant and irresistible.
Conclusion:
Chilean cuisine is a reflection of the country's history, geography, and the rich tapestry of its people. From the Andes Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, Chile's menus tell a story of cultural diversity, culinary ingenuity, and a deep connection to the land and sea. As you embark on a culinary journey through Chile, savor each bite, and immerse yourself in the flavors that make this South American gem a gastronomic paradise.

Baked potatoes are a classic comfort food that can be found in kitchens around the world. They are a simple food that is incredibly versatile, tasty, and filling. But why are baked potatoes so rustic? How did this comfort food become so beloved by so many cultures?
The history of the baked potato is quite unclear; it is unknown exactly where or when it was first invented. Some believe that potatoes were first cooked in an open fire in the Peruvian andes centuries ago, while others think that the Aztecs were the first to boil them. What is certain, however, is that baked potatoes have been eaten for centuries.
In addition to its long history, baked potatoes are a rustic food because of their flavor. Simple salt and pepper can elevate the natural taste of a potato to create a delicious side dish. And potatoes themselves are incredibly hearty and filling, which gives them their traditional rustic charm.
Baked potatoes are also naturally low in calories, fat, and carbohydrates, making them a good source of nutrition. And their hearty texture holds up well to a variety of toppings, or can even be served without toppings for a light and healthy option.
Finally, baked potatoes are incredibly easy to make and incredibly affordable. They require only a few simple ingredients, and can be cooked in minutes in a home oven. With such an unbeatable combination of flavor, healthfulness, and affordability, it’s no surprise that baked potatoes have become a menu staple around the world.

Best Restaurants in Quito
Ecuadorian food is as diverse as Ecuadorian landscapes. A country with mountains, jungle, beaches and bustling urban centers The food here is based on the amazing range of fresh produce, meats and fish indigenous to this small place. There are numerous eateries located in Quito which it became nearly impossible for me to go through the entire menu because I cooked almost all my meals. Here I would like to share with you my top choices. I hope that this article provides some useful tips for your restaurant choice.
This travel guide to Quito can help you plan a fun and affordable trip without breaking the bank!
Neuma
If you seek out a local's opinion on the top restaurant in every city, you're bound to receive a variety of different responses. In Quito the one that has been consistently most often on the list is Nuema that is owned by the chef Alejandro Chamorro. There aren't many chefs in Ecuador's kitchens who have the type of background that he has. He worked in Noma in Copenhagen which is among the most rated restaurants in world. Alejandro worked alongside well-known Peruvian chef Gaston Acurio at the Astrid and Gaston Restaurant located in Lima. As the partner chef (and his wife) Piedad Salazar is a talented pastry chef who manages the majority of the sweets in the restaurant menu.Nuema now has a brand new hotel at The Illa Experience Hotel in Quito We haven't been able to get to talk to yet, however we'll publish the review here once we have. The extremely anticipated luxury hotel will be an exciting expansion to San Marcos neighbourhood of the historical centre. Because many of Quito's top restaurants are in the more modern business district and having the Nuema place here is bound bring many foodies who visit satisfied. The restaurant isn't just famous for its excellent food, but also for its excellent service. It's a comprehensive "back back to the roots" way of looking at Ecuadorian food. The cuisine of Ecuador isn't as popular as Peru's, however it shares the same culinary origins as Peru's Andes Mountains, thick jungle and the ocean. Green plantains are the main ingredient of virtually every dish that is local, peanut is the main ingredient in a wide variety of dishes as well as Amazon products like paiche (Amazon fish) or garabato yuyo (bud of the plant) are used in the menu. The majority of the ingredients come origins from Ecuador and a dedicated farm-to-table program is implemented for land-based products. When it comes to seafood, they collaborate exclusively with small-scale, environmentally conscious fisherman. The local flavor is not only what's served on the plates but also a part of the plates. The cutlery and crockery was created exclusively specifically for Nuema by artisans who hail from the coast in Ecuador..
Cire
Cire represents the dream coming to life of the Quito couple Maria Gabriela Crespo, interior designer as well as Eric Dreyer, chef, who put their respective talents to work to make Cire an institution that is among the most sought-after restaurants of Cumbaya.Signature cuisine is the ideal name for the food, though there is a distinct European influence, from many nations at the same time and perfectly blending with the interior of the restaurant (with touches of rococo, which are colorful and pastiche). The service is friendly and quick. The balcony is ideal for dining during the typically warm days in the valley. Cire is located a half block away from the main park in Cumbaya the small suburban town has grown to become an important commercial and residential center, and also an entertainment and culinary destination. If the innovative twists on traditional Ecuadorian food served at Cire won't convince you The view will. The restaurant is situated on the edge Cumbaya's Parque de Cumbaya, the restaurant is situated on three floors and has a rooftop terrace with a 360-degree view across Quito along with its mountains. From there, you'll be able to enjoy the chef Erick Dreyer's innovative renditions of traditional dishes, like suckling pig, Ecuadorian Black Angus beef and indigenous potatoes. For a price that averages $36 USD for a guest, Cire offers up incredible food and stunning views for a price far more than fair for the quality of food you'll get.

A few of the menu options that will satisfy your appetite are Stuffed Crab Shell, Sea Bass Flambe with Pernot as well as Three Pepper Escargots or Charolais. The waiters and chefs are able to suggest the best food options for your tastes and mood. It is possible to pair them with a luscious French wine, or perhaps, if you prefer, the classic champagne.Having Rincon de Francia on the list is just one of reasons why we like our fifty Best Discovery List. They don't only give you the latest and greatest items, they also recognize well-established, long-standing gems that don't often make these lists (but certainly should be included).Rincon of Francia is the Rincon de Francia Quito popular restaurant for more than 40 years. Serving traditional French food, such as their delicious crepes Suzette as well as South American and Spanish staples like ceviche and Spanish Omelettes. The cost per head here is slightly in the upper end, with a price of $50USD. However, with heads of state and politicians of state frequenting this restaurant and an explanation for the high price.

An energetic, vibrant and relaxed restaurant Somos is a fantastic place to enjoy a casual dinner. It is decorated with hand-painted Ecuadorian murals by the renowned artists from the local area Apitatan across the wall, a kitchen that is open and wood-fired oven this modern, friendly restaurant is a fantastic addition to Quito's food scene. Chef Alejandra Espinoza has was a student for a few years, learning her trade from Michelin Chefs who have been awarded Michelin stars in France prior to working in the booming dining scene that is emerging in San Francisco. Relocating to Ecuador to establish Sonos together with her brother their motto is perfect: "Born in Ecuador, in awe of The World". Somos has found an ideal equilibrium between Ecuadorian and French food. This is the genius work of the chef-owner Alejandra Espinoza who draws inspiration of her early years in Ecuador and blends them with the skills in cooking she gained in France. The result is a collection of globally inspired recipes that make use of local ingredients, flavors and customs. You can try the tasting menu that starts at just $25, or opt for the menu of a la carte for around $32 USD for a person. We strongly recommend trying the guinea pig when you're here.
