I'm rewatching the Paul W.S. Anderson Resident Evil movies and I've decided to catalog all the ridiculous things the T-Virus can do in these movies.
The T-Virus can, obviously, create zombies. Not really a departure from the games here.
When injected directly into living tissue, the T-Virus can induce a transformation into a Licker. Lickers here are 1) not the result of the V-Act process (which I've explained in detail here), meaning that the standard zombies (seemingly) can't become Lickers, and 2) will mutate upon consuming fresh DNA. It's unclear if this is a single transformation or something that progresses and accumulates over time.
Secondary infection via Licker scratch caused Matt Addison to begin mutating, which (combined with surgical intervention by umbrella) led to him becoming the Nemesis. Notably this version of Nemesis lacks the NE-alpha parasite that gives his video game counterpart many of his signature abilities, suggesting that the T-Virus of the Andersonverse is capable of much broader effects than in the games. This is a trend that will continue through the films.
Can halt/reverse the progress of degenerative diseases. This seems to be the intended purpose of the T-Virus, with it being developed by Charles Ashford to heal his daughter Angela's inherited condition.
On rare occasion a human can bond to the T-Virus on a cellular level, resulting in superhuman strength, speed, durability and reflexes.
The T-Virus can give you psychic powers too, apparently.
I'll continue updating this post as I make it further into the rewatch, but I've seen these movies before and I know it doesn't get LESS ridiculous.

“Rain… J.D. never left you,” Ailani murmured, voice barely above a whisper. This was why she hated telling people about her powers, aside from the fact she’d probably be called insane. The heartache her powers brought. The pain Ailani created. “He’s been haunting you since the Hive incident.”
((I’m not really sure what verse this would be in, but Lani gets to see and possibly interact with both Rain and J.D.’s ghost!))
If Rain didn't have to, she didn't discuss her time in the U.S.S. She didn't bring up the people she cared about back then. Most of them were dead. And if they weren't, she'd lost contact with them following the Hive Incident. Nowadays, if somebody knew the name J.D. in relation to her, it was because of the dog tags she ripped off him after being forced to put a bullet in his forehead, which she was rarely seen without in her civilian clothes.
The words stole her breath away the same way his glassy eyes slack corpse face had in those dank tunnels.
If not for that and the fact that she didn't peg Lani as the type to make such a supremely fucked up joke, Rain would have thought she was being messed with.
"What did you just say to me?" she asked as if she could have possibly misheard, but there was no denying the utterance of "J.D." and "Hive" despite Lani's quiet tone. She had told her once she was in Raccoon when it went up in flames. That was all. She closed her fingers around the tags dangling over the table like she was trying to conceal the open pages of a diary.
#[I went with the gameverse 'cause of the bsaa connection]#[and even though most of the population isn't dead like in the andersonverse]#[rain struggles more with loneliness]#verse: games#character: ailani ka’ana’ana#muse: rain melendez ocampo#pretty-isnt-pretty-enough

so many headcanons about these three (both their characters within the play and the actors) my head is gonna burst
for starters, "j.j. kellogg" was practically blind without his glasses but schubert gave him good enough directions for him to get by on most nights
"roger cho" chose an anglicized stage name so he'd get more casting calls and it worked, kinda; after the movie's narrative he ended up having a steady paycheck thanks to a recurring role in the andersonverse's equivalent of m.a.s.h.
"sandy borden" was once hailed as "the greatest hamlet since sarah bernhardt" but found herself getting less prestigious roles as she entered her thirties and forties so she took up playing a cookie trooper's mom in a play she barely understood
anyways tl;dr i am obsessed with three minor characters in a wes anderson movie

also also if eventually re will turn out to become somewhat of a post apocalypse world ( the stereotype / andersonverse type ), i think claire would absolutely get an ambulance and travel around to help people - not sure she would call it the claire redfield's convoy because i don't think she wants that sort of credit, but would probably continue the terrasave initial mission ( on wheels )

Random Things Overheard On Site
Ah, my coworkers. The weird, wacky, wonderful folks who keep the wheels turning. They're a real cast of oddballs, but no one normal ever works at the Foundation, excluding Doctor Glass, of course. Dude's totally got his head on straight, and welded in place. The rest of us... yeah, we're all nuts. Even Site Command has a few loose screws, in Jack Bright's case it's every last blessed one of them. Hold on to your hope, abandon sanity all those who enter here.
On 049:
"Sure, he can kill you with a touch, but at least he'll apologize as it happens, and unlike some people, his hands are clean."
On 076-2:
"Wow. Uh... where were you keeping that axe, buddy?" A pause. "Huh. After training, mind checking over a few weapon designs? I'm doing a new character in D&D."
On the Foundation, to the new hires:
"No, you don't have to be crazy to work here. Clef and Bright will train you in that."
At target practice:
"Come on, ladies! I've seen senior citizens shoot better their first time playing Call of Duty. Eyes on the target, fingers on the trigger. Let's try this once more, with accuracy."
On 053, playing with 682:
"Aw... it's actually really cute how 682 lets her draw flowers all over him."
"Yeah. Remember the 'ballet lessons' last week? Who knew they even made tutus in his size?"
"Not me. Uh, any chance of photos?"
"Sorry, Benji... kinda dropped my camera in the scaly jerk's acid bath."
On 073:
"He's smart, funny, sweet, a total Arabic fox... why not ask him out, Sarah?"
"One. He's an anomaly, and off the approved list. Two, even if I were allowed to date him, isn't he gay?"
"Oh. Yeah. Got a brother?"
On Doctor Gears:
"Can't stop, gotta get the coffee to the Doc."
"He's out? Shit. Caffeine emergency, out of the way people! Do not block the intern, he has Gears' coffee."
On some anomalous weaponry Agent Strelnikof found:
"It took the door out. And the door behind it. And the door behind that door. And half the target range. I think the Insurgency would sooner meet 682 than face one of these guns. And I think both Doctor Clef and I are in love. With the gun."
During a Keter Breach:
"Do you HAVE to follow the anomaly while blasting 'Gangster's Paradise' by Coolio?"
"You'd prefer 'How I Can Just Kill a Man' by Rage Against the Machine?"
"I'd prefer it if you just did your job, Doctor Bright!"
On 079:
"Not sure who's more annoying... the Old Man AI or the homicidal bitch in 'System Shock'"
"Shodan doesn't have 079's sense of humor."
"And neither of them trump the Red Queen in the Andersonverse 'Resident Evil' movies in terms of creepiness."
"Kid AIs are the worst. And she is a creepy little psycho."
During training with 076-2:
"You threw a sword at my head, Abel!"
"But... did you die?"
And... finally, some Multiverse hijinks. A bit of background here: one of the reality warpers pulled a villain, well HE said he was a villain, from a place called Central City in the other universe. He has some ice powers, but... it wasn't Mr. Snart. Nope, we got an incompetent wannabe cryomancer with a stupid name. And... Iris being Iris, she told him off.
"Chillblaine? You call yourself... Chillblaine? Do you even know what a chillblain is? It's a flu symptom. What are ya gonna do, asshole, sneeze on us? Worse, it sounds like a rich spoiled white uni bro trying to get his jerkwad buddy to calm the fuck down. 'Chill, Blaine. She ain't worth it, bro.' Fuck off until you come up with something we can take seriously." Dude looks like he's gonna cry. I look over, and the rest of the team, even Big Brother, are trying not to laugh at this loser. I have no idea who the hell this Flash dude is, but he's got one pathetic nemesis here. Fifty bucks says he couldn't even steal a wallet.

"Do you ever wonder about who they were before they became... that?" (Jill, andersonverse)
"Yeah..." Carlos said darkly, looking out for more of those mutated creatures while took a moment to reload. "Although I guess I'd be a lot more sympathetic if they weren't trying to kill us," he said. She had a point, though. One he didn't want to think about too deeply. Not right now, anyway, when he had to be able to kill these creatures at a moment's notice. If he started empathizing with them, any hesitation to do what he needed to do could cost him and Jill their lives. "I just hope they don't remember who they were. Imagine knowing you've mutated into something completely unnatural and that there's probably nothing that'll turn you back?" he added. Damn. Just like that, he was already empathizing.

Bingo tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime! actively dislike them!! with a side order of what watch order do you use?
...WHY IS THE FIRST ONE THE HARDEST ONE?! ;;o;;
Fireball XL5: Zoonie. The only one that's easy. I LOATHE Zoonie (just as I did Mitch the Monkey). I wince every time Zoonie is on screen and was so glad when Zoonie was written out of the TV21 comics right away.
Stingray: ...Uh. Oh God. ...Can I choose Oink even though he was only in like one episode really? ...I'm gonna choose Oink, there is literally no one else I actively dislike (I just really hate the 'cute animal sidekicks' okay?!) If I can't count Oink then... uhhhh... Jordon, I guess. I don't hate him, but he was an asshole and a coward and there was a vibe that he was only flirting with Atlanta to 'get at' Troy (and he was rude to Marina and Phones as well as Troy)
Lady Penelope: (Yes, she never had her own SHOW but she had her own comic strip(s), her own comic MAGAZINE, and three really cool novels. She totally counts for this!!) ....Oh maaaaaaaaaaaaaan.... uhhhhhhh. I can’t think of one. The villians are fun (Steelman ROCKS), the support characters are fun (poor Lyon, someone must have cursed him off camera), and the lead characters are two of my all time favs from ANYTHING. ...I find Lil the Chef a bit boring and sometimes a bit annoying in the ‘Perils of Parker’ comics? I don’t dislike her though, just... don’t like her as much. TAG: Sherbet. I refer to my above ‘I really tend to dislike the cute animal sidekick. (Plus he’s part of the nerfing of Lady Penelope from badass spy on par with James Bond to basically the ‘kind social elite’ and that only - which was Penny’s MASK, not her true self.
Thunderbirds: ;;_;; Would Braman be cheating? ...Probably would. Dang it. She's only in one episode, but the Duchess of Royston I guess fits. She was rude and condensending and acted a fool, and she damn near got herself and Virgil killed... and then after all that she goes RIGHT BACK to her bad habits of gambling. Don't hate her, but closest I come to active dislike. TAG: i know I'm in the minority here, but I ended up actively disliking Sally in TAG. I found her ranging between boring to grating and actively dislike the Grandma centric episodes on top of it. I also disliked MAX a fair bit... again, I tend to dislike ‘cute animal non-verbal sidekicks’, I don’t like the overly childlike AI thing that seemed to be going on in TAG with MAX and EDOS, and the main issue is Brains interacted (by a LARGE margin) with Max more than any other characters, and I don’t want to watch Brains interacting with new support OC, I want to see Brains interacting with the Tracys!! :/ 04 Film: hm. None of the characters were particularly horrible. The Hood & the two henchmen were decently fun, passably competent, and could be threatening when needed. I actually adore Fermat and Brains, Penny and Parker were brilliant, Jeff was decent, John was fun, TinTin was fun, Alan got annoying but he still WORKED and was no more annoying than normal Alan XD... I guess if I had to choose, the other brothers cause they pretty much didn’t EXIST and were very one dimensional.
Captain Scarlet: I don't think there is a character I actively dislike in the show. The bad guys are wonderfully fun to watch, the good guys are tons of fun, and even the one-offs tend to be, at worst, a bit bland. But if we take the comics into account, then World President Younger. The guy was something of an ass, very full of himself, and often being tricked by outside forces (he almost started a world war like three times, he's technically responsible for the Earth-Astran War, he's tricked into disbanding Spectrum...) I tend to dislike him because he's an IDIOT :/ nCS: oddly, this one is easy. I actively dislike nMagenta and nDestiny - and on Destiny at least I know I am not alone as apparently the fanbase disliked the new version of the character enough that she was basically written out of the Series come Season 2. (which is too bad, as I ADORE Magenta and Destiny in the og series.
==============
Edit: I FORGOT THE SIDE ORDER THING =_=
Pretty much ALWAYS Production Order. Sometimes there’s an episode or two I need to move AFTER switching to production order, but broadcast order can be something of a HOT MESS... actually no it is a Hot Mess with few exceptions (actually the only two exceptions I can think of is nCS where the broadcast order overall worked better, and the Lady Penelope novels where having the 3rd novel as the middle works better overall).
In Fireball one go to example is that the Space Spys show up BEFORE THEY ARE INTRODUCED, among other smaller issues
In Thunderbirds you have some missions that have a ‘we’re still learning the ropes’ feel happen late in the run, and instances like Grandma showing up before her introduction, etc
Stingray is actually hit really hard by this in the SUBPLOTS. In broadcast order you have Troy flipping back and forth between Atlanta and Marina right until the end, to the point that it could be considered cruel as he’ll have a flat out DATE with Marina then next episode be hanging out in Atlanta’s bedroom dancing the night away. In production order all of the ‘Troy / Marina’ episodes are near the start, but it fades pretty fast and Troy is focused on Atlanta after. There’s some other nice subplot and character arcs that work best in production order too
Captain Scarlet has major issues of characters and plots showing up before their introduction and the ‘Moon Base’ trilogy is wrecked by broadcast, plus one or two other ‘multi parters kinda’.
