I’m trying hard to be less ignorant and I’m really grateful for the education I’m getting but I can’t simply enjoy anything anymore cuz now I can’t unsee what’s wrong with it ALL THE TIME
#llag just destroyed meryl streep#and im not following him like a sheeple i think he made good points and i was kinda amused#at how she pointed at white person after white person as a demonstration of foreigners#and also i loved lalalands plot but it wasnt diverse enough#not enough latinx and asian representation in the background chars#and jazz is black so.#but i liked it. and i liked meryl streeps speech#hmmm#and#maggie sawyer in supergirl#i love their relationship i love alexs coming out arc but im so uncomfortable#by how white the show is and how an italian is playing a latina#and yuri on ice i love the plot and the discussion on mental health and ITS JJ STYLE#but i feel like its baiting#and jane the virgin!!! keeps villainizing its gay characters ajskkss!!!#i feel guilty about supporting something as a whole if any part of it is bad#but i guess... im allowed to support parts of it#like... acknowledge whats wrong with things and be aware of how it needs to be improved#but i dont need to hate it completely..#is that...a privileged perspective to take?#midnight musings#personal
