❝ I’ll ruin you for any other man…❞
𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: Venom x Reader
𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: Your nasty alien eats you out…
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: Spitting,Slut shaming and just down right nasty shi
𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭: 552
You don’t know how you ended up in this situation but here you are splayed across your bed with your big, hunky alien between your legs. His crescent milky, white eyes glared up at you as his monstrous tongue glided teasingly across your plush thighs; his teeth skittered daringly across every perimeter he touched; they were so sharp they could puncture your flesh and paint your skin red at any second, but something about that turned you on- the thought of him purposely nicking your skin to claim you as HIS turned you on to no avail.
You let out a whiny moan as the tip of his tongue swiped across your pulsing nub, groaning in appreciation he used his two hands to grab your thighs to pull you closer to his gaping mouth. “ That’s it baby, moan for me- let the world hear how much of a slut you are for me” he half smirked as you whimpered in response and attempted to close your legs around him, to which he just spreaded your legs wider to allow him to feast upon you with no difficulties. He stopped his sweet abuse on your dripping cunt and stared deep into your eyes “ I want you to be a good girl and use one of your hands to rub your clit while I ravish this aching pussy” without giving you a chance to speak he delved right back into your cunt like a starved man, you let out a long moan in response and snapped your eyes shut as you felt his velvet tongue slide in out of your hole like a piston.
You bit your lip and leaned back into your soft pillows; using your middle finger to rub your clit in fast circles you couldn’t help the sinful moans that were spilling out of your mouth, you began to play with your nipples with your other hand, but that was quickly stopped when he spawned two random tentacle’s and replaced your hand with them, your pussy clenched down hard on his tongue as you felt them tweak and pull at your hardened nipples.
Leaning his head back a bit he gathered up some of your creamy juices and spat it backed onto your puffy lips, he watched it drip down past your fluttering asshole before once again diving back in. You lurched forward in pleasure as you felt your release about to come. He hummed in acknowledgment and sped up his actions, making sure to slither his tongue deep into your pussy so it hits your g spot.
You felt like your body was lit ablaze as you felt tingling sensations all over your body, your eyes rolled to back of your skull and you gripped tightly onto the sheets; the pleasure was all to much, ragged and loud moans were played into the air like sweet tunes.
Rising up from between your thighs you watched as saliva mixed with your delicious nectar dripped from his mouth and unto the clean sheets below you. Leaning close to your face he lowly whispered “I’ll ruin you for any other man” God he was so sexy when he was possessive.

matt was laying down with you laying on top of him as you bounced up and down on his cock. your head was buried in his neck muffling all of your moans and crys of his name.
his hands were gripping your waist helping you, his head was buried in your shoulder with his eyes clamped shut “you’re doing so good for me honey” he praises.
you let out a louder cry as your pleasure increased “sh sh sh, don’t want them to hear do you?” you struggled to speak from how matt was now meeting your hips in the middle “n- no sir”
“then stay quiet baby” little did you know, chris stood in shock in the doorway as he watched this whole interaction happening. he originally was going to sneak in the room to scare the couple.
but when he seen the situation, he was too shocked to move. he seen you cum all over matt, and that’s when he realized what he is seeing and doing, quickly leaving the scene quietly.

matt had been edging you for the last hour, he was using a vibrator on you to make the feeling more intense. you were sore from all of your ruined orgasms “you wanna cum princess?” you rapidly nod your head, begging to release “yes! yes yes yes! please! please!”
“10…” he starts counting down
“9…” you aren’t allowed to cum until he was done counting down
“8…” you had been so desperate for your orgasm that it hurt
“7…” you were using all of your strength to hold back
“6…” only six more seconds, can’t be that hard, right?
“5…” a front door slams but neither of you acknowledged it
“4…” you let out a scream from matt suddenly sticking a finger inside of you
“3…” nick and chris hear your scream
“2…” they start to run towards matts room to make sure you’re okay
“1…” chris and nick burst through the door
“cum.” both you and matts head look at the door
“oh my god, i- I’m so sor- ah fuck! no no no! i- i’m c- oh my god!” your orgasm hit you unexpectedly
your hips lift off of the bed as you turn on your side, trying to get the vibrations off of you but they won’t. of course your hands were handcuffed behind your back, and the vibe he was using on you wasn’t handheld.
“please! take it off! take it off!” chris had almost immediately ran out of the room when he walked in on you, while nick is still standing there frozen “not yet hun” he looks back at the door to see nick standing “you can go now!” matt yelled
“oh, yeah, right.” he hurried out of the room, grabbing his laptop to find a new therapist.
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭.
your back was against the couch as matt made slow, deep thrust into you. “you feel good baby?” his voice was low so no one would wake up and catch you at 1 am.
“y- yes” you whimper, your moans were muffled by either biting your lip or matts hand over your mouth “being such a good girl f’me” chris walked up the stairs quietly hoping to wake no one up.
he walked by the couch, not noticing you, and you didn’t notice him. he was getting close to the fridge to grab a drink, but came to an abrupt stop when he heard your moans and whimpers.
“matt, i- i’m gonna cum” he quickens his thrust a bit more “can i? please” he places soft kisses on your jaw “go ahead baby”
“t- thank you” your noises start to pick up in pitch the closer, and closer you get to the edge “open your mouth” he demands. you expected him to spit or stick his tongue in your mouth, but instead he stuffed your panties in your mouth.
“gotta keep you quiet honey, don’t want chris to hear how pretty my girl sounds.”
chris felt weird for hearing all of this go down, but he felt confused for why matt mentioned his name. he stood in the kitchen, listening to your muffled moans as you reached your climax.
matt continued to thrust into you, which got you over stimulated. he could tell you were trying to say something so he removed the panties from your mouth “t- too much matty, i- i can’t”
your voice cracked while tears built in your eyes from the overstimulation “yes you can, give me one more then ill stop, understand?” your whimpers start to get louder again “y- yes sir”
he stuffs your panties back into your mouth. he watches your face contort in pleasure, your third orgasm of the night approaching (matt the munch), but this one was different, it felt like you were going to pee.
matt could tell that and started rubbing your clit. his orgasm was approaching just as fast as yours “you gonna let me cum inside of of you? hm?” you nod your head, desperate for him to fill you.
chris walks to the first step, standing behind the wall. “fucking shit, i’m cumming baby, cum with me, i know you wanna squirt all over this cock” you feel him finish inside of you which triggered your release.
your juices fly out from between you two with a loud moan from you and a loud groan from matt. chris finally walks down the stairs to his bedroom, he should be disgusted from what he has heard but he can’t help it when he takes care of his ‘problem’ by thinking of your noises, your words, your reactions, he can’t help but want to be the one cumming inside of you.
he never got his drink.

a vlog that’s pretty much just y/n’s day in the life
chris sturniolo x reader
summary: your boyfriend and his brothers film a day of their life, including their time with you. request
warning: fluffy, slightly suggestive (if you look hard enough), language
“wake up sleep heads,” nick said focusing the camera on yours and chris’s sleeping frames. “we’re filming our lives today and you guys need to get up.”
a slight groan could be heard from your boyfriend, but you made no efforts to acknowledge it. you were to focused on the deep sleep you were attempting to fall back into. “what nick?” chris’s voice had sleep prominent in it. his words made you more alert than before.
you picked your head up slightly but quickly threw it back down, loudly sighing at the light nick pointed at the two of you. you head came in contact with chris’s arm, slightly scaring him. “nick what the fuck are you doing kid. can’t you see she’s trying to sleep.” chris was less concerned about his own comfort then yours. he turned his body into you, blocking you from the light.
“can you two just get up and start yapping so this video is entertaining?”
“yea nick, just get the fuck out”
with nick leaving the room, chris started getting out of bed as well. becoming more coherent, you looked over at chris as he was picking both of your guys clothes off the floor from last night. “chris, get back in bed with me” you said to him giving him a slight smirk. he smiled at you before launching himself back in the bed.
the boys had a couple meetings that morning, so they picked up the camera again as you all were shopping for ingredients for dinner. since you volunteered to make them food it was the boys job to figure out everything you needed.
nick walked behind you, chris, and matt so he could film what the three of you were doing. matt pushed the cart as chris kept his death grip on your hand, pulling you with him and pointing out every interesting thing he saw. “look at the flowers, baby. do you want flowers? i’m gonna buy you flowers. what kind do you want?” chris dropped your hand walking away from you as he looked intently at the flowers trying to choose the prettiest ones. “you don’t need to buy me flowers” you had to raise your voice a little so he could hear you, but in response all you got was a little hand wave brushing your comment off.
nick turned the camera on you. “your boyfriend is like a child. he doesn’t listen.” you gave his a shrug and a laugh. “i think i have to have a talk with mary lou to see what went wrong with that one” you said pointing at chris, who was now walking back over to you three with two different bouquets of flowers.
“you referring to your amazing boyfriend, who’s buying you flowers might i add, as ‘that one’ is crazy.” chris found his place at your side. he handed you the flowers and pulled a piece of lint off of the fresh love hoodie of his that you were wearing. “i don’t know what you’re talking about, honey. also, i said you didn’t have to buy me flowers.” “exactly that why i’m buying you two.” he said kissing your forehead nodding in matt’s direction for you to start walking.
poor matt had been done most of the grocery shopping himself. none of you were paying enough attention to him, so when you got home to make dinner the ingredients were definitely a suprise. luckily you ended up with chicken and pasta so the rest came easily.
chris came up to you with the camera as you were cooking. “what are you making chef?” before you even got the chance to open your mouth and respond another comment was being made by chris. “vlog, look at how pretty my girlfriend is. she’s actually perfection” he put the camera on the counter so it was facing both of you. he grabbed your hand and pulled you away from the stove so you were in frame. “give them a spin ma. wearing my brand and everything”
you faked annoyance as you spun beside chris. not being able to keep a straight face for long you broke into laughter. when you returned to facing him he pulled you into a hug. he released your shoulders so he could hold your face him his hands. with your arms still around his waist, you leaned up to give him a small kiss.
matt came over to you guys, looked at you in disgust, and grabbed the camera off the counter. “sorry for you had to see that. chef matt is taking over because our original chef has become distracted.” matt tried to take your spot at the stove, but you weren’t going to allow it. “matt do not touch that you’re going to ruin it.” the bickering went on between you two for a while before realizing you could just work together.
that night, after eating and cleaning up the dishes, top golf was suggested by none other then chris sturniolo. his love for the activity was one that you’d never understand, but you went nonetheless.
a few rounds went by before you inevitably realized you’d never win against those three so you took over vlogging for them instead. the camera pointed at nick as he took his swing. “ohhh well that was definitely something.” you said from behind the camera. nick was far enough away that he couldn’t hear your comment, but you’d definitely get shit for it while he edited. the two boys to you left of a kick out of it though.
matt and chris broke out into laughter catching the attention of nick. “what are you two fuckers laughing about? try to do better.” he said, giving them attitude. you held back your laugh as nick sat to the right of you.
for entertainment purposes (and also to annoy him) you started narrating everything matt did. “and… matt sturniolo picks up his golf club. he waves it in front of the sensor. he gets his golf ball. he gets ready to hit. is it going to be good ladies, gentleman, and nonbinaries? we’ll see. and he hits, and it’s…… not as good as nicks shot.” matt side eyes you as chris starts laughing uncontrollably. he falls into your side sending you and the camera to the right into nick.
nick takes the camera from you since your posture has been infiltrated by chris’s body. chris is still laughing when matt gets back to the seats, so like any brother would, matt slaps him upside the head. chris groans as he pokes your shoulder. you’re conversation with nick gets cut off when you look over at him. “matt hit me” chris says with a childish tone. “okay and what do you want me to do about it babe? i’m not your mother. hit him back. i don’t fucking know” you say with a laugh.
the game quickly comes to an end with matt coming out in first place. the four of you decide to call it a night. and start walking back to the van.
when you guys finally got to the car nick started to outrow the video. “alright guys that’s it for this weeks vlog thank you so much for watching” he turned the camera towards the front of the car as you leaned over chris’s shoulder.
“chris can you please play 34+35 remix for nick and i.”
“no y/n” “absolutely not”
and with that the video concluded.

i love you, i’m sorry

“lay on the horn to prove that it haunts me.”
“i love you i’m sorry.”
you and matt have known each other your entire lives, which was unfortunate for the both of you. you may be asking yourself, if you’ve known each other for so long shouldn’t you be best friends?
well, it was quite the opposite actually. you and matt have hated each other for whatever reason, it was a rivalry between you two. you guys couldn’t even be in the same room without bickering, when your family and matt’s family hung out it was absolute hell for you.
all you wanted was to avoid matt at all costs, no matter the circumstances. however, you always got along with matt’s brothers.
you and matt never had a reason to hate each other, in fact you tried being nice to him sometimes. you both just never got along, bickering and complaining about each other 24/7. if you got a dollar for how much you both piss each other off everyday, you’d be filthy rich.
but, matt wasn’t a complete jerk. he didn’t completely despise you, sometimes he held the door open for you. other times, he would slam it shut in your face. matt absolutely adored teasing you, and doing small gestures just to make you annoyed at him. that was something he never failed at.
you had sort of a mixed and unsure feeling about matt. you were confused, you didn’t know how he felt about you. did he hate you, or not? even better question, did you truly hate him?
yes, of course you did. you were supposed to, you can’t love him. but…you felt something different over the past few weeks. as much as you hated to admit it, nowadays you didn’t mind his presence. just a few months ago, you’d rather get hit by a bus than be near him. but other days, he pissed you off more than anything. you hated him…but you didn’t at the same time.
you didn’t know what this feeling was, it made you sick. falling for your childhood enemy? it was impossible, it couldn’t happen. you hated it, you couldn’t make it stop. all you could do was push down your true feelings, and keep pretending.
so now here you were, in the present. it was pretty late in the night. you were at the triplets house, in the kitchen. nick was out for a space camp photoshoot, while chris was sleeping in his room.
you leaned against the counter, scrolling mindlessly on your phone as you popped a potato chip in your mouth, feeling the salty sensation sink on your tongue. quietly humming to yourself, you took in the peaceful silence. that is, until you heard the front door open.
matt walked in the house, going right into the kitchen. he huffed as he saw you, rolling his eyes. you bit your lip, not even acknowledging him.
matt walked over to the counter, shoving you over with his body so he could get by. you grunted, your phone clattering to the floor.
“dude, can you not?” you scoffed, pissed off as you picked your phone up from the floor. matt turned on the sink, beginning to wash the dishes.
“can you not with the attitude?” matt mocked you, not even batting you an eye. usually you would just flip him off and leave, but you didn’t this time. you wanted to confront him, show him that you weren’t a pussy.
to the both of you, arguing was a competition. you would just keep going on and on until one of you backed down, and usually it would be you. however, not this time.
“i don’t have a fucking attitude.” you crossed your arms, the back of his head facing you as he aggressively scrubbed a plate. you were testing his limits, and you found pleasure in that.
“whatever floats your boat.” matt shrugged, laughing to himself. “do you always have to be so annoying?” he continued, which only provoked you more.
you rolled your eyes and sealed the bag of chips shut. “do you always have to be so mean to me all the time?” you shot back at him. matt turned off the sink water, wiping his hands before turning around to face you. “i’m not mean, sweetheart. come on, is that all you got?” matt teased you, knowing it would make you annoyed.
“shut up!” you raised your voice at him slightly, making him scoff in disbelief.
“what the fuck is your problem?” matt raised his voice back at you, you weren’t in the mood for this right now. your frustration was building up by every passing second.
“you, matt! you’re my problem!” you shouted back at him.
“my fucking goodness, y/n. you’re always starting shit, aren’t you?” matt complained, throwing his hands up in the frustration. you simply said nothing.
“what? cat got your tongue?” matt darkly chuckled. you rolled your eyes, starting to walk away. matt only followed after you.
you stomped outside into the driveway, it was the dead of night. you suddenly felt matt grab your arm, turning you around to face him.
“let me go, matt.” you spoke fiercely, trying to yank away from him. his grip only grew tighter, he completely ignored your protests.
“y/n, stop it. listen to me.” matt told you, you only shook your head.
“get away from me, matt. i hate you.” you remarked, matt shook his head. “no you don’t.” he pulled you closer.
the cold wind blew in your hair, matt’s eyes pierced into yours. “what are you talking about?” you questioned him.
“you don’t hate me.” matt shrugged, you weren’t even trying to pull away from him anymore. something was drawing you to him, and you didn’t mind it for once.
“yes i do! you don’t care about me!” you argued back, matt completely snapped at you.
“of course i care, y/n! how could i not care? i care more than anything in the world.” he shouted.
“since when did you start caring about me!?” you scoffed in disbelief.
“since fucking forever, you idiot!”
and those exact words, the moment they came out of his mouth silenced you. which by the way, was a rare occurrence. your lips parted slightly. “what?” you murmured.
matt let go of your arm, running a hand through his hair in frustration. “i love you, okay? i love you so fucking much, goddamnit! i’m sorry i fell in love, i can’t do shit about it and…i didn’t want it to happen, y/n.” matt blurted out. what? this was the absolute last thing you were expecting.
“you…what?” you spoke softly. your mind was racing with a million thoughts at once. matt was in love with you? your heart began to beat faster as you looked into his eyes.
“you think i wanted this to happen? trust me, i’m just as confused as you.” matt’s voice broke. you both stood across from each other, goosebumps raising onto your arms.
“i love you too, matt.” you whispered. matt’s gaze immediately softened.
“but…the thing is i can’t. i can’t love you. it won’t work out. we can’t be together and you know that.” you muttered, looking away from him as you said that.
“you don’t get it. it’s not that easy to lose feelings for you, if i could i would. i can’t lose feelings for someone i’ve loved for so fucking long.” matt’s voice came out shaky as he expressed all of his emotions.
you sighed, stepping closer to him. he looked down at you, his eyes growing glossy. your hand traveled up his chest and to the side of his neck, matt’s breath hitched at this action.
before he even knew what was going on, you leaned in, pulling him in for a kiss.
both of your lips connected, your heart felt full, as if you had been needing this your entire life. matt groaned against your lips as the kiss grew more and more passionate, more hungry.
you both wanted this badly, you craved each other more than anything. this felt so wrong in your brain, but yet so fucking right in your heart.
matt’s hands gripped your waist tightly as you wrapped your arms around his neck, your lips continued to dance with his, you felt his soft and supple lips crash against yours once more.
matt pulled away from the kiss, not letting go of you though. you looked up at him, a smirk creeping up on your face.
“mmm..you’re not so bad after all.” matt hummed, his finger lifing your chin up with dominance.
“i’m gonna murder you, sturniolo.” you teased, matt only chuckled, his hand moving to your cheek, caressing the skin gently.
“you wouldn’t.” matt smiled down at you, before leaning into your face once more, his lips colliding with yours again.
maybe loving him wasn’t so bad after all.

“SOFT LAUNCH GIRL”
part two of “Do you think i want this?”
&based on this request
Summary; After Chris finally agrees to go public with your relationship, a soft launch post quickly turns into a hard launch twitch stream.
₊‧. ˚₊‧. ˚₊‧. ˚₊‧.
In the days following the discussion , Chris had begun to warm up to the idea of going public even more, though he approached it cautiously. He wasn’t the type to dive headfirst into something that could change both of your lives in such a big way. A week after the heated conversation, he posted the first subtle hint on Instagram—It wasn’t much, but it was enough. without giving away too much, too soon.

A couple of days later , chris posted a story that was a little more obvious
That was a few days ago, and you had been unable to bring yourself to even look through any of the comments or backlash of it yet. You were currently at Chris’ house
Chris and Matt were settled in Matt’s room, their gaming chairs perfectly positioned in view of the camera. You sat just off to the side, out of the camera’s frame, watching as you always did. Matt usually mirrors the stream for you on the TV. You liked being there, watching Chris in his element, even if you stayed hidden from the audience.
Just as Matt’s finger hovered over the “live” button, Chris suddenly shifted in his chair, reaching out. “Hold on bruh” he said quietly. Matt paused, looking at Chris with a raised eyebrow. Chris turned in his seat to face you, his expression soft but serious. “Ma… how d’you feel about coming on today?”
Your heart skipped a beat, and your eyes widened in surprise. “On stream? Like… on stream?” The nerves hit instantly, a tightness forming in your chest at the thought. You’d always kept yourself just out of sight. Chris had been careful, too. The soft launch was a safe bet, it let people know you existed, without blindsiding the fans by coming on too strong. It was a delicate dance, one that had kept your relationship semi-private, until now.
Chris smiled at your reaction, nodding gently. The idea of putting yourself out there so suddenly made your stomach twist. You looked over at Matt, who was already grinning. “Don’t you think it’s time?” he asked, glancing between you and Chris.
You bit your lip, looking down at your hands.
“I don’t know about this guys” you mumbled. The weight of the chaos this could cause pressed on your chest. Sure, you’d taken steps—the soft launch had been a huge deal. But going on stream? Letting the world see you next to him? It felt like another level entirely.
Chris scooted his chair closer, his knee brushing against yours. He reached out, hooking his finger gently under your chin and tilting your head up. “Listen, you don’t have to baby…but we’ve done the hard part already… this is just the next step, hmm?” He gave you a small smile, his eyes steady on yours.
You took a deep breath, letting his words sink in. He was right. The hardest part had already been done—acknowledging the relationship, letting the world know he wasn’t single. This was just…another step. A bigger one, yes, but maybe it was time. This is what you wanted after all.
After a long moment of hesitation, you finally nodded. “Okay” you said softly, the nerves still bubbling under your skin but subsiding slightly by the way Chris was looking at you.
Chris’s smile widened, relief in his eyes as he leaned forward and pressed a quick, reassuring kiss to your lips. He shuffled his chair back over next to matt, and without another word, he reached out to grab the side of your chair, pulling it over until it was flush against his. Now, the three of you were in a row, all visible in the camera’s view. This was it—the moment you’d quietly dreaded but also desperately longed for.
Chris must have sensed the tension radiating off you. He reached over, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, his touch calming you more than he probably realized. His eyes softened as he whispered, “You got this, okay? We’re doing this together” , the reassurance in his voice made it a little easier to breathe, you nodded.
Matt grinned from beside Chris, his hand hovering over the keyboard. “Alright, you guys ready for this?” he asked. Chris gave a nod, and you hesitated for just a second before nodding too.
“Let’s do it” Chris said.
Matt clicked the button, and the stream went live. For a split second, the screen was quiet, but then comments began flooding in, the viewers realizing what they were seeing.
“Whats up chat!!!” Matt said, all energy as usual.
The chat exploded.
“OMG”
“Is this SOFT LAUNCH GIRL?!?”
“is this real life chat”
“New character unlocked, HELP.”
“what the FUUKCK”
“?!!!!??????????”
You felt your breath catch in your throat. The energy in the room shifted, and even Matt seemed to tense up at the overwhelming stream of comments. You caught his glance toward Chris, who shifted nervously in his chair, his fingers tapping on the desk.
You could feel your chest tightening, the way your breath started to come faster. They were going to hate you. You weren’t ready for this.
Chris glanced over at you, noticing the way your hand had tightened into a fist on your lap. He reaches over, scooping it into his, as he rubs his thumb over your knuckles. He then leans forward, reading the chat.
Chris took a deep breath, his hand squeezing yours a little tighter before leaning back and speaking. “Yeah chat-” he said with a small nervous laugh, trying to ease the tension. “-this is soft launch girl-” he said, making a quotation mark gesture with his free hand, referencing their nickname for you. “-her name is Y/N”
You swallowed hard and gave a small wave, your voice softer than you intended when you finally spoke. “Hi guys”
You couldn’t shake the panic that started to rise again as more comments flashed by too quickly to read. Matt leaned forward, muttering, “Jesus”under his breath, his voice low but just loud enough for you to hear. Your heart sank. They were being awful, weren’t they?
But Chris leaned in closer to the screen, his face brightening suddenly. “Look at this-“ he said, turning to you with a smile. “Ma, check it out” You leaned forward cautiously, dread pooling in your stomach as you squinted at the chat. But then you froze.
“SHES SO CUTE OMG”
“WELCOME Y/N!!!”
“I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS😭 (devastated for me)”
“NOT CHRIS CALLING HER MA, I’M SCREAMING”
“Awwwhhh”
“they look a little TEWWW good together”
“im DECEASED”
You blinked, rereading the comments as they flew by, too stunned to react at first. These weren’t the cruel insults you’d feared. They were kind. Playful. Even excited. A warmth spread through you, slowly melting the tension in your chest. A smile crept onto your face, hesitant at first but growing wider as more positive comments filled the chat. You glanced at Chris, whose eyes were already on you, his grin practically glowing with pride. Matt caught your eye too, his face lit up with that same goofy grin you’d seen a million times during their streams.
Your smile broke into a small laugh, the anxiety that had been suffocating you for weeks lifting. “I… I can’t believe it, you guys are so sweet”
~
The three of you continued streaming, the initial tension melting into the background as Matt and Chris shifted into their usual banter, cracking jokes and interacting with the chat. Every now and then, you’d sneak a glance at the comments, and each time, the support was still there, playful teasing mixed with genuine kindness
“protect y/n at ALL COSTS🫡”
“i think i just went from a chris girl to a y/n girl fr…”
You couldn’t help but laugh, feeling the nerves dissipate with every passing minute. It wasn’t perfect—it wouldn’t be. There would still be challenges, and not everyone would be as supportive as today’s crowd. There was a lot of truth to Chris’ concerns before agreeing to go public. There would be people who would rip you apart. But for now, this moment felt like a victory. You’d taken the step, and it hadn’t shattered everything.
~
As the stream finally came to an end, Chris leaned over,. “You did amazing, baby. Proud of you.”
You squeezed his hand in return, basking in the relief of how well it all went “Thanks. I think I needed this”
“We all did” Matt chimed in, throwing a wink your way. “About time, huh?”
“Yeah” you said softly, smiling between them. “About time”

lucifer morningstar x fem! reader
you help comfort him after his meet up with his lovely daughter ꓹ⠀ charlie. [ no warnings. fluff. silly nicks. ]
The moment he took a step back in his castle, he felt the overwhelming feeling of panic. His chest was heavy, he was filled with dread, and somewhat bitter joy. It had been over centuries since he’s spoken to his own kin, his daughter whom he adored. His steps sounded heavy, almost like he was trying to carry his own weight. which alerted y/n of his arrival. She left her study and saw him in the hall, gripping his staff and tears threatening to fall.
“Honey pie, what’s wrong?” she walked cautiously, studying his body language and the clear evidence of tears. “Charlie..” he hiccups and began to cry. “Oh.. honey..,” she strolled over to him and lifted his face in her hands. “Charlie wants to get into contact with heaven. I still have my doubts but..” he spoke carefully as she gently wiped his tears with her thumbs. He relaxed in her touch, letting himself breathe.
“But you know you owe her this? Charlie is a bright girl, much like her father” she chuckled and smiled up to him. he smiled a bit then nodded. “I do owe her at least this, I wish you could have seen her.. she was magnificent. Her dreams are beautiful and she cares deeply for all of her people. She’s a wonderful woman now. I’m so proud of her.” He leaned his forehead against her own as they both shared a smile as tears silently fell from his cheek.
“I wish I was there for her, but I was so stuck in my own failures that I didn’t even realize how much I missed out on. I tried so hard to show everyone that freedom is a beautiful thing and yet—” y/n gently placed a kiss on his forehead to stop himself from spiraling into despair.
“Don’t say that about yourself. Stop it. You tried all you could do for your people and even then you tried that’s something you should be proud of. You never gave up.. and even if you did, you still dreamed about it day ‘n night. You’re amazing honey pie.. truly. You should give the helping hand that no one gave to you to Charlie.. you’re the only demon who could help her and plus she only has one father.” She winked and smiled.
He gently gave her a kiss on the lips and stood up straight, almost like a routine. She dusted his shoulders and coat then straightened his collar. “I’m so grateful to have a daughter like Charlie..” she held his hands, feeling the cold feeling of his ring.
She didn’t acknowledge it facially but she knew he loved his ex-wife and daughter with all his heart. It’s something that a new woman couldn’t change, it’s something she had to understand but she knew she loved the man he is. He’s a loving man and she knew he was going to commit to that promise to his daughter. “And.. I know I don’t say it much but I love you so much y/n, my beautiful beautiful apple” he kissed her once more, their hands enveloping each other.
Once they pulled apart she let out a soft giggle and fixed his hat “now go do as you promised and make your daughter proud.”

Next Level - M. Sturniolo
Summary : the one where you just want your boyfriend to get off of his game, and he makes you a deal.
Warnings : 16+ content. i am not responsible for the media you choose to consume online. oral (fem receiving), fingering, praise kink, multiple orgasms/overstimulation, pet names (baby)
Word Count : 3017
Pairing : Matt Sturniolo/Reader (romantic)
A/N : idfk blame someone else for this
You were potentially the most bored that you had ever been in your entire life.
Yes, you were being incredibly dramatic, but your boyfriend had ceased giving you attention and hanging out with you in favor of playing round after round on whatever video game of the day was pulled up on his monitor. It was so frustrating, and you were a clingy person, so that just made it worse. You had come over to spend time with your boyfriend, not to just watch him focus on something else. You had tried playing with him, losing multiple games, winning a couple, before you had gotten bored and moved to relax on his bed. You’d been quiet and patient up until about now, because you didn’t want to bother him, and you did love seeing him do things that he enjoyed, but you were starting to get annoyed.
You abandoned his room in favor of going down to the kitchen to get something to drink, finding Chris and Nick sitting on the couch, some show playing in the background, and Nick was swiping through Snapchat stories on his phone. They already knew you were there, having spent time with both of them when you had arrived a few hours prior to now. You sat down with them both, opening the lemonade you had stolen from their fridge. You didn’t speak, also on your phone for a couple of minutes before Chris looked up, nudging Nick to get his attention.
“Do you think Matt will drive us somewhere? I want to go get a slurpee.”
You laughed, responding before Nick could.
“He’s fixated on his stupid video game, I doubt he’ll want to go anywhere.”
“Is that why you’re down here and not up there with him?”
You nodded, continuing to scroll through social media while the two brothers decided if they wanted to ask Matt or not. Finally, Nick turned to you.
“Can you go ask? He’s more likely to say yes to you than to us, and now that Chris has mentioned it, I want to get one too.”
You playfully rolled your eyes, but got up to go upstairs to ask him anyways, knowing more than likely your boyfriend would say no. Walking back into his room, Matt glanced up at you, looking back to his screen after acknowledging who had come into the room.
“Nick and Chris want to go get slurpees, they wanted to know if you would drive them.”
Matt shook his head, eyes never leaving the monitor, fingers never pausing their movements on his controller.
“Nah, I don’t want to go. Tell them to order an Uber or something.”
You sighed, sitting back down on Matt’s bed to text those words to Chris and Nick, not feeling like walking up and down the steps again for such a short message. After reading Nick’s response of a rolling eyes emoji, you threw your body back and laid down, exhaling deeply, waiting on Matt to pay you even a sliver of attention. You were tempted to leave, go get slurpees with the two other brothers, but at the same time, you really did love and miss your boyfriend. About fifteen minutes went by, and Chris texted you to let you know that they were leaving, asking if you were both sure that you didn’t want to come, and you replied saying that no, you two would stay here.
You only let about another five minutes go by before you waved a hand in front of Matt’s face, refusing to let him ignore you any longer. He pulled his headset halfway off, to where one ear was exposed, so that he could hear you.
“What’s up, baby?”
You sighed, slightly pouting.
“You’ve been on that game forever, and you’ve been ignoring me.”
Matt gave you a soft smile, standing up to kiss you before sitting back down.
“Just let me get through one more level, and I’ll turn it off for the day.”
You rolled your eyes, turning around to go sit back down.
“Sure you will.”
He caught your wrist as you tried to move away from his desk, turning you back towards him.
“Hey, watch the attitude.”
He kissed the back of your hand, smiling at you.
“You’ve been waiting a while, I know. Nick and Chris have already left, right?”
You nodded, confused at what his brother’s presence, or lack thereof, had to do with your current situation.
“Okay. So let me get through this next level, and I’ll go down on you until you cry. Deal?”
You couldn’t say that the suggestion that came out of Matt’s mouth didn’t affect you. It had been a little while since you and him had done anything, conflicts with filming and work, traveling, and when you were free, people were home. So sure, maybe part of your boredom and attitude was due to pent up desire, but who could blame you? There was only so much relief you could get on your own, and nothing compared to Matt’s skills. Matt noticed how your eyes widened slightly and your cheeks flushed, and an arrogant smirk crossed his lips. One of his favorite things was to go down on you, and you couldn’t deny the fact that you felt the same about it.
“I figured you would like that offer. Just this last level, okay?”
You swallowed, nodding, pulling your arm from his grip and going back to laying on his bed. You picked up your phone, trying to appear unaffected, but Matt knew you better than that. He could see you in the reflection of the dark screen on the second monitor, and he could see you shifting how your legs were laying every so often, trying to ignore how the thoughts he had planted in your head were affecting you. He loved how easily he could work you up, something he had often taken advantage of, and he smiled to himself at how suddenly you had developed so much patience.
Matt intentionally lost the level multiple times in a row, wanting to see just how far he could push your patience. He knew that you wouldn’t push him back, so he wanted to see just how needy he could get you to be. So he continued to lose, to set himself back, to find any way to make his promise take longer. He was enjoying watching you grow desperate way more than he should have, noticing you look up at him and his screen pretty much every thirty seconds to see if he had completed the level yet. The thought of what he was going to do to you was making him struggle to focus on the game, so he decided to stop intentionally losing and not make you wait for him any longer. This level wasn’t difficult, and it wasn’t long before he completed it, turning off his screens and removing the headset in favor of setting it on the desk.
Turning around and getting out of the chair, Matt abandoned his desk, laying down with you and taking your phone out of your hand. You let him, both of you knowing that you hadn’t really been paying attention to it anyways. Excited to finally have your boyfriend’s full attention, you pulled him in for a kiss, it starting off gentle and sweet. He broke the kiss after a couple of seconds, smiling at you and used his hand on the side of your cheek and jaw to guide you into another one. There wasn’t any effort on your side to gain dominance of the kiss, Matt easily controlled it, deepening it and swallowing any sounds that left your lips, smiling against your mouth when you both paused to breathe.
“I think I have a promise to make good on, don’t I?”
You nodded, gasping quietly when Matt moved his kisses down to directly under your jawline, teeth gently tugging on the skin, enough to leave marks on you, but not enough for those marks to last longer than a day. The hand that had previously been on the side of your face was tangled in the back of your hair, gently pulling on it, moving your head to give him more access. It wasn’t long before he was hovering over you and had left a trail of blooming marks under your jaw and on your neck. Small whimpers were leaving your lips, and he kissed you, full of passion, enjoying the way you reacted to his movements. One of his hands gently caressed your side, fingers toying with the hem of your shirt.
“Can I take this off?”
You didn’t respond verbally, simply removing your hands from his hair and face to tug your shirt off, allowing him to help you. Matt’s hands immediately moved up to unclasp your bra, getting it off as quickly as possible, before moving to lay kisses down your torso. It seemed like he was somehow touching you everywhere at once, which you logically knew wasn’t true because he only had two hands, but you swore you could feel him on all parts of your skin. He moved a hand up to roll your nipple between two of his fingers, smirking at the loud whimper you let out, before moving his other hand down to the band of your sweatpants, silently asking for your permission for him to take them off. You lifted your hips, whispering your consent, sounds still leaving your lips because he hadn’t paused his ministrations, his mouth attaching to your other nipple, the attention on them both causing you to whine.
He only stopped the movements of his hands to remove your sweatpants from your legs, but he didn’t move downwards. He moved back up to kiss you again, both of his hands holding the sides of your face. Using his leg to spread yours, he swallowed the loud moan that left your lips, as the shifting of his body had caused his knee to press directly against where you needed him most. He smiled against your lips, loving how vocal you were, increasing the pressure slowly until he felt you shift your hips downward to meet his leg. He removed his knee, hearing your whine of disappointment, moving his body down between your legs, using his hands to spread them this time, from where you had clenched your thighs around his knee.
“Patience, baby, I’ll give you what you want.”
He left kisses and hickeys on your inner thighs, so close that you could feel his breath over your panties. When he was satisfied with the marks that he had left on your legs, he gently pulled them off of your legs, kissing even closer, smiling at the way that you pushed your hips closer to him. He took one arm and laid it over top of your hips, holding you down.
“Matt, stop fucking teasing.”
He shook his head at the attitude in your voice, but he knew you wouldn’t be giving it to him for long. He kissed right above your clit before giving in, his tongue beginning to form small circles on it, and he could have cum on the spot when he heard the shaky breath that left you at the feeling of relief after having to wait so long. He alternated the amount of pressure he was using, before pulling off completely and moving to lick a stripe from your entrance back up to your clit, loving the way that your thighs clenched around his head. He pushed them back open before attaching his lips to your clit, gently sucking, causing your hands to tug harshly on his hair as you let out moans and whimpers. He tried to remove his face from between your legs, but you pushed him impossibly closer, and instead of fighting you, he simply formed tight figure eight motions with his tongue on your clit.
By this point you were so wet, and Matt’s mouth and chin were covered in the evidence of your arousal. He always ate you out like he was starving, and it was always messy, but you never complained. How could you, when it gave you some of the best orgasms you’d ever have? You could feel it starting to build in the pit of your stomach, and it only became more intense when Matt ran two fingers through the wetness between your legs before easily pushing them into you, expertly curling them. He knew your body like the back of his own hand, so not only did he know that you could take two at once, he knew exactly where to move and where to press to have you squirming.
His ministrations were confident, and you were predictable, your head immediately going back the second that his fingers curled perfectly, him only being able to see the white of your eyes while his tongue and fingers caused your thighs to shake around his head, your climax building quickly, and Matt could tell, just from the noises you were making and the way you were clenching around his fingers. He pulled his mouth off, increasing the speed of his fingers, kissing you roughly before speaking.
“Doing so good for me, baby.”
“Matt, fuck, please-”
He placed his thumb on your clit, rubbing tight circles with a firm amount of pressure, adoring the way that your back arched now that you were no longer being held down.
“I know, baby, I know.”
He replaced his thumb with his mouth, the suction sending you off into space. He could hear your moans getting higher in pitch, and your thighs were clamping around his head. Your hips were bucking against his face, your eyes screwed shut as his free hand reached up and applied pressure to your lower stomach, and that was it. Your orgasm hit you like a truck, jaw hanging open in a loud whine, Matt not stopping any of his movements as he pleasured you through your high. He stopped when your breathing began to stagger roughly, kissing you sweetly as you panted against his lips. He kissed you until you calmed down, until your chest stopped heaving, and then he ran his hand back down and gently drew slow circles on your clit, kissing your forehead as you whined and tried to bat his hand away.
“I can’t, too much.”
He just gave you a pitying smile, not moving his hand. If anything, he picked up his pace, listening to you whimper against his neck.
“Oh, but I promised you’d be crying, baby. I have to make good on that, don’t I?”
You couldn’t formulate a response, just a low whine leaving you as he added more pressure.
“You can give me one more.”
And with those words, he went back to having his head between your thighs, his fingers on his free hand gently tracing patterns on the inside of your thighs. You were so sensitive, not ever having been one for overstimulation, but the incredible pleasure that rolled through your body overwhelmed every small spark of pain, causing you to not want Matt to stop after all. Being so sensitive, you were so much more reactive, and when Matt pulled the same move of curling his fingers right into your sweet spot, you let out a loud sob, and you could feel another orgasm beginning to build. It was much quicker than the last one, but with Matt absolutely assaulting your clit, and his fingers roughly massaging that perfect spot inside of you, you knew you would never be able to hold it off.
The oversensitivity caused tears to build in your eyes, and you got to the point of desperation that you were attempting to ride Matt’s face, hands tightened in his hair again, keeping him pushed up against you, chanting his name like a prayer as you tipped over the edge for a second time that night. Matt did the same thing that he did the first time, working you through your orgasm, and it was the added stimulation paired with the unbelievable high you were already on that caused tears to stream down your face, eventually pushing Matt away from you when it got to the point that you couldn’t handle it anymore. He knew when it was too much for you, and he pulled off, the fingers that had just brought you to your finish now in his own mouth, and if you could go again, you would have at just the sight.
It didn’t take Matt long to pull you into his arms, wiping the remnants of tears off of your face. He didn’t move you too much, but he helped you drink out of the bottle of water that had been on his nightstand. You laid there, still slightly out of breath, enjoying the close company of your boyfriend and the gentle kisses he was pressing on the top of your head. It wasn’t until Matt adjusted his body slightly against you that you realized he was still hard.
“You didn’t-.”
He didn’t even humor the statement, cutting you off by just shaking his head and holding you against his chest.
“Don’t worry about it. You’ve got my full attention, baby. I’m fine.”
The soft aftercare that Matt always gave you was top tier, complete with food, a warm bath, and endless cuddles. He always spent a lot of time making sure that you were completely taken care of and felt okay before he even thought about himself. Checking Matt’s phone, you noticed a text from Chris that had come in thirty minutes ago, letting you know that they had decided to stop at another store before coming home. Neither of you replied, but you both assumed that meant you didn’t have much more alone time left. So Matt helped you back into clothes, knowing that you were tired, and you ended up dressed in an entire outfit of his. The two of you weren’t even awake when they got back, falling asleep wrapped up in each other’s presence.

Pairing: Matt x Reader

Requested?: no
Author's notes: I definitely did not forget that I had this !! No happy ending in this one y'all <3
Word Count: 3815
Going back and forth between California and Boston wasn’t an easy feat, even for the triplets themselves. And yet, you always stood proud at the airport, smiling at their exhausted expressions that plastered their faces.
Nick adored you, holding a steady peace sign against your head in the photo that was scattered on his desk. You found similarities between the pair of you that quickly became abundantly clear to others. The loud laughs that escaped your lungs were easily heard by surrounding spectators. Some lucky enough to the hear the jokes made while others watch you both heave with confusion. It was the raw consistency between you two that kept the friendship strong. You became a staple in his Instagram posts, being in the foreground of a restaurant setting or even the camera man that he’d credit in his stories. You were there. You’d find yourself caught up in a mini vlog sent over via Snapchat which wound you leaning on the sofa arm with a heavy head. He never could escape that life.
Chris was nothing short of Nick, cherishing each time Mario Kart blessed the screen in front of you. Being in the carpeted floors of your bedrooms often led to video game sessions. Stores on main streets allowed you to find a new game per week or so to indulge in. And obviously Chris joined. He always joined in, attached at your hip. Chris was always more physical than the other two and you frequently embraced that fact. You absentmindedly grabbed his arm for stabilisation whenever your laces came loose. Yet, he often acted the same, standing their on his phone, not paying attention to the small gesture. He was always one to pay things forward, so you’d find a can of your favourite soda to repay the same one you bought him mere hours ago. No matter how many times you tried to stop him, he practically insisted, how could you argue with him anyway?
Matt was less reluctant to open himself to you. He had a hard time maintaining close relationships with people, they often changed throughout lengthy seasons as the distance grew. He figured it would be the same with you. That summer entered his life as fast as you did, cool breezes enclosing around you while you greeted him. You never showed the slight disappointment when he replied with a meek smile. ‘That’s how he is, don’t sweat it too much.’ Nick’s words didn’t offer you as much comfort as time did. Two years went by and you stuck like glue to the three of them. Each trip they went on back home didn’t lack any calls between you all, initiated by Chris. Of course.
Each late night conversation and campfire story revealed each other to you. They typically ended with each of you swinging your legs on the logs as the marshmallow melts on a stick. He more or less listened to you ramble about random things whilst he acknowledged each syllable. Time drifted easily in those situations, Nick and Chris leaving you two be to rest.
He loved learning new things about new, writing things in his notes so he wouldn’t forget. That’s how he always knew what to get you in the convenience store, or even for your birthday. One thing he was surprised to hear about was your boyfriend.
Cameron wasn’t a name that slipped past your lips easily. It should’ve been. You only revealed his existence about 6 months after knowing the triplets, that’s when the questions came.
You loved Cameron, most the time. It was when he drunk that you tended to place guards up. It’s like he thinks that alcohol is an opening to say and do whatever he pleases whenever he pleases. He tried to push me into drinking occasionally, but after months of resistance, he gave up that idea.
But in this moment, your only thought was on getting the triplets home, so you did just that. The fast food that you collected each ride back from airports tainted their loopy grins with sweetened appreciation. It was nice to see the glint of affection within their eyes. Especially seeing Matt’s become frequent.
This was your third time collecting them up after their flights. When Matt asked you the first time, he seemed hesitant about asking. It wasn’t like you would yell at him and laugh in his face about waking up in early hours. They may have not been the most appealing, but it was worth it.
“Oh, come on! You had aux last night; you are not getting that privilege again.” One thing you had missed while you were away, were the loud personalities they possessed, but now wasn’t one of those times.
“Chris, can you stop snatching the lead it keeps hitting me!” Bickering emerged between himself and Nick within the first ten minutes of the drive back. Unlike the middle triplet who sat diagonal to you with his headphones blocking out each sound.
“Only if Nick gives it up, I have to listen to the new song Lil Skies released” Nick groaned almost immediately, mocking Chris with hand motions.
“Chris gets it for an hour, then Nick. That better?” Once more you felt the lead hit your shoulder, a little harder due to his eminent excitement. Yet you kept your grace and gripped the steering wheel a little tighter.
-
When you all arrived at their houses and immediately a few things stand out. Nick was asleep. Chris was asleep. Matt was awake. Your eyes glanced at Nick first, watching his still form except his chest which rose with each steady breath. Unexpectedly, you caught Matt’s own gaze on you. His eyes narrowed with forecasted fatigue. However, his lips twitched upwards into a genuine smile.
The sound of the engine finally switched off with a turn of your keys, for once you could really feel the tension among the silence. Darker clouds seemed to roll in steadily and you were just thankful that you managed to arrive on time. Your body pushed the door open with a click, making the car brighter with the sudden lights.
Matt immediately lets out a giggle as Nick groans, covering his eyes from the warm light that turned on directly above him.
You took it against yourself to carry the boys’ luggage out of the boot, the cases as identical as themselves. The only difference were the coloured tags wrapped around the handles.
Nick and Chris both murmured small ‘thank you’s’ and left with their cases in their hands, struggling to open the door as quickly as normal.
“Thank you again for doing this, you really didn’t have too.” A whispered voice takes your view away from Nick and Chris and focuses on the middle triplet standing next to you.
“You know that I’m happy to help out, all you have to do is ask.” Due to the darkness, you couldn’t see his face, yet you were positive he was smiling. You could practically hear it.
“I know, we all do, doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate it.” He said quietly, pausing for a moment as if he wanted to speak more. “Do you want to sleep over tonight? It is late after all…”
As if it was fate, your phone buzzed in your back pocket. It rang with the familiar tune you set for your boyfriend, it wasn’t long before Matt grimaced.
“Hi Cameron, I was about to ca-“ Your words were cut short by a short yell from the phone, heard by Matt.
“Where are you! It’s nearly midnight and your ass said they’d be home by half eleven at the latest.”
“I’m sorry, we got caught up in traffic...” You genuinely felt apologetic, even if you hadn’t done anything wrong.
“Get home. Now.” He attempted to act stern and yet his words slurred and mixed between the next.
Before you could respond, he hung up quickly. Air harshly left your lungs in a deep sigh. Matt heard everything. You couldn’t bring yourself to speak first, the embarrassment was too much.
“I’ll take that as a no…” His attempt at a joke worked slightly as you let out a breathy laugh.
“Yeah, sorry. Another time I guess” Your voice was timid, yet it wasn’t due to being tired.
“You need anything, you let me know, alright?” His case was now alongside his frame, the handle barely reaching his stomach.
-
“Cam..? I’m home!” Sounds of your voice echoed off the empty walls of your shared apartment, Cam’s to be exact. You decided to move in with him, more of less he forced you, but it was still happening. You knew he was home since you heard the voice lines of his Call of Duty character running low on health. You also knew he couldn’t hear you.
You simply sighed and placed your bag onto the counter, picking out a spare protein bar you didn’t get around to touching through the car ride. Water drains from the Stanley you got bought a few weeks ago, by Matt of course.
Cameron came slumping down the stairs, his footsteps thudding in comparison to yours. After all, he was drunk. His slurring confirmed that.
“You took forever, you said it was gonna only take you three hours.” He didn’t necessarily lie, yet he didn’t consider things could go wrong.
“Baby…I did say that there was traffic, you know I can't text and drive to let you k-“ He shut you up with a sloppy finger to your lips.
“Always the excuses, huh! Never admit you’re fuckin’ wrong, can ya?” Your head hung low while the skin of your fingers wrapped around your sleeves.
He didn’t utter another word, only strings of mumbles as he walked away. Not a single idea that traversed your head made sense as to why he’d want you home, if he was just going to walk away from you. It made you question his behaviour, nothing that you would converse aloud, not in this state.
-
It wasn’t long before another thread of hurtful comments were thrown your way early in the morning. It had only been a week since that late evening, however all your boyfriend seemed to crave were the hot tears that fell from your lashes.
“Come on y/n, the dishes aren’t hard to do! Do I have to do everything around here!” With each word he spoke, another tear rolled down your cheeks, the redness growing with each second. You hadn’t meant to cry, you had actually tried so hard to keep it together. Although the moment he attacked you directly, you snapped.
“You’ve become so lazy with yourself, do you even take care of yourself anymore..?” Almost immediately, you looked down at your body, hidden underneath a loose shirt and hoodie. You weren’t sure if that was a subconscious choice.
His hands gestured to my body lazily with his hands,
“What do you mean” You hadn’t meant to let your emotion seep into your voice but once it began, it only grow.
“Don’t act like it isn’t obvious, or do I really have to spell it all out for you. You’ve gained weight.”
His glass of wine practically slammed on the kitchen counter, surprise filling you at how it hadn’t managed to break. He’d done that before.
“Go sort yourself out, such a pig” The sound of his voice is muffled under his breath, but he made sure that you heard it, the sly grin said it all.
Oh.
Your gaze lightly treads the apartment to see the high load of dishes that were in the sink, remnants of the earlier stir fry tracing the air around it. Excessive scrubbing seemed to do something to ease your emotions. Which ever ones they were. They were too tangled in your stomach to distinguish any particular ones.
Sharp sounds from the scouring sponge hissed into your ear as you harshly stroked the pans. You hadn’t even realised the force of it until the paint starting chipping across the bottom. All you did was blame the hot water and throw it on the drying rack.
Every deep breath felt like a little more air than you had left your lungs. Even your body wanted to force out that feeling, not that you blamed it.
Why does love hurt so much?
A charger and spare clothes were soon stuffed into a small, black backpack, one that was bought for you several Christmas’s ago.
Keys jingled and rattled against the wooden door of your apartment. You left. It was easier if you did. You wouldn’t annoy Cameron anymore and you wouldn’t get belittled by his drunk attitude.
Your eyes stared at Matt’s contact on the screen, the profile picture from an old festival you dragged him to. A deep breath forced its way out of your lungs as you swiped up. The ringing tone echoed in your ears along with the slight breeze.
“Hello?” You were relieved when he answered the phone, a change of emotion filled you. His voice was raspier than usual and a faint shuffle of what you assumed were duvet covers could be heard.
“Hey, I’m sorry to call this late but can I come over?”
“Of course, what’s the occasion.” His voice seemed to light up at the thought of seeing you again.
“I just need some fresh air I guess... and a possible rant” The words trailed off, hearing him sigh in the background.
He doesn’t speak for a moment, soaking in your words. “It’s Cam, isn’t it?” Matt took your silence as a yes.
It was like that for a moment. Silent. You couldn’t tell why, was it Cam? You knew he hated his name falling from your lips. The same lips you didn’t know he craved. However, you only hated saying it when he was drunk, it was a beacon for mercy. The next day it felt like heaven once he was sober. Until it repeated of course. Matt had grown to hate that name, the presence. Even if he wasn’t such a dick, he knew he would remain in the same mindset.
“I’ll leave the door open, I think I still have your ice cream. If Chris hasn’t taken it.” For a second you forgot it wouldn't be just you and Matt in that house. “Are they awake?”
“At 2am? Nick is out like a light, Chris has a meeting early in the morning. so he's passed out in his room."
The sky grew darker as the night went on but that didn’t matter. Not when you arrived on the porch of the triplets’ house. As you went to wipe the exhaustion off your face, sudden tears became evident to you. You pulled your hand away to reveal a glisten that coated your hand, the lights subtly highlighting your sadness.
Quickly, you wiped your hand and used it to knock on the front door.
You stood there for only a few moments before the door slowly creaked open, as to not wake the others. Matt's hair was evidently tussled which you can only assume is by his interrupted sleep. That only made you feel more guilty. Porch lights above you both highlighted a few features, his eyes being one. They were filled with emotions you couldn't quite pin-point. Exhaustion, irritation, care? You weren't sure.
"Are you goin' to come in? Or stand there in the cold looking upset?" His body moved towards the door, leaving me room to walk through. As soon as you step inside, the cold air is immediately replaced with a warm atmosphere. A sigh escaped your lips at the heat surrounding your body and turned to Matt with a grateful smile. Yet by now his expression remained more stoic than before.
"Let's get your ice cream and a drink, then we can talk, yeah?" Before you could respond he brushed past you to the kitchen, the light illuminating the room. You simply traced his actions with your eyes before moving forwards to help him grab the few cans of drink from his arms.
"My room?" His voice had grown gentle, trying hard not to grit his teeth at the conversation they were about to have. "Yeah, sounds good."
His room wasn't anything fancy, just some simple pieces of furniture scattered around his room, along with the several monitors on his desk. His duvet hadn't seemed to be made yet it somehow looked better than most times you saw it. A few clothes are sprawled over the edge of his chair but little to no mess covered the floors. You and his brothers mentioned making the room more him yet he seemed content with his hung poster from Hawaii.
You placed the drinks from your hands onto the bedside table and looked towards Matt who did the same with snacks and confectionary.
Once you both got settled the air grew heavy. You laid the blanket up to about your shins, while Matt was completely on top of it. It had been a few minutes of silence, with the occasional sip. He knew not to force the situation, but it was hard when tears brimmed in your eyes.
“Do you think I’m... gaining weight” You shunned away from him, seeing his body tense up a little was enough to cause a reaction. You had always been a little conscious of your weight, that was nothing new. Yet it hurt, knowing that someone who you actually cared about diminished you to one quality. Matt saw this too and edged a little closer towards you.
“Did he say that to you.” His tone was brittle, like any one of your next words could fluctuate his choices so easily. You ignored him, he attempted to avoid the question, knowing how much it made your heart ache.
“I didn’t even notice anything until you pointed it out. I see you for you, not what your body shows. Honest.”
You knew he meant it, letting a small smile twitch at the corners of your mouth. Until the rest of Cam’s words struck you again. You hadn’t meant to cry, in fact you wanted to avoid it. Letting his words affect you counted as a win, a win to his drunken state. He was so caring when he wanted to be. He seemed to want alcohol more, however.
“He called me a pig…He made sure I heard it.” You stammer slightly before giving up. When you mustered up enough courage you looked towards Matt, but he wasn’t looking at you. Only the section of blanket he shoved and gripped between his fingers. He seemed to zone out slightly after each comment you made.
“He just gets drunk a lot, and… you know how he is whenever he is drunk. I can’t get through to him. He is really a sweetheart but- “Matt’s sharp voice cuts off my tear-ridden words.
“Is he.”
You looked up at him, it hurt him to see your eyes red and glossed over. He wanted to concentrate so hard on anything but his seething emotions towards your boyfriend but he couldn't help it. You ran to him because the person who supposedly loved you belittled you so much. It hurt to see you unhappy. It hurt to see you crying in front of him. It hurt him to see you stay with him.
He watched as you lowered your head, causing him to before doing the same. Hot tears stained your cheeks as Cameron's words echo repeatedly, old and new. The names he called you sunk deep and made you feel so shit about yourself. It shouldn't get to you, but you loved him, so much. But, it wasn't ever meant to feel like this.
It took a moment of silence before Matt reached his body towards you. His hands wrapped around your waist as he gently pushed your head to his chest. You felt as his hands gently rubbed your back, slowly but enough to be noticed.
"M'sorry, you don't deserve any of this, never...Please don't believe anything he says. He has no idea what he is talking about."
"I love him, really I do, it's just-" You found yourself lacking any other words to explain yourself with but even so, his grip simply tightened, shunning you to silence. "You don't have to explain yourself. Let's just take your mind off things, yeah?"
It had been an hour and you had fallen asleep beside Matt, gravity falls on a low volume in the background. After getting up to place rubbish in the bin and return the ice-cream to his freezer, he re-entered his room. He was aware you were a light sleeper and avoided any floorboards he knew made sound and moved quietly around his room.
He was happy to see that you had drunk the can of drink he gave you along with some of the snacks. A few still resided in the packaging and he sighed a little. The comments that your boyfriend made has obviously left a slightly mark on you, he noticed the hesitancy a few times but chose to stay silent. If he spoke he feared he'd spark something neither of you wanted to deal with.
His attention turned to the screen before him, the end of the episode nearing. With no sign of you waking any time soon, Matt lifted the edges of the duvet you hadn't touched and shuffled underneath them. Some distance remained between you, not wanting to make anything awkward. However, he couldn't resist placing his hand on your head, rubbing it back and forth. Brushing a stand out of your face, he stayed like that for a while.
When the episodes credits rolled to black, Matt grabbed the remote and switched it off. Silence filled the room, less tense than before. The words that Cameron said about you, to your face, bubbled in his mind. He hated how you slowly grew to hide yourself away. Anything that made you the person he adored was slowly being pushed away and all he wanted was for you to feel like you could be you.
Tiredness started to take over his body, his eyes growing heavy and a soft yawn passing his lips. His head leant back against the headboard while his hand continued to run through your hair. Your face was perfectly rested against one of his pillows, a bundle of the blanket tucked snuggly into your chest. A bittersweet smile crossed his face as he took in each of your features.
Matt laid himself under the blanket, his hand eventually leaving you with the distance he made. As his eyes grew heavy once more he gave you one more glance, muttering a few words before falling asleep by your side.
“Loving you is the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced.”

nervous | matt sturniolo.
authors love: my first write for the boys, definitely was a quick daydream i had, take it easy on me!
notes: fluff! short read. no trigger warnings i believe. enjoy.
you never understood why he refused to speak to you, or even look you in the eyes. he would mumble a hello, or look at you for a second before diverting his eyes again. you were always left wondering if he didn’t like you.
given that you were a lot closer to nick and chris, it made you uneasy seeing him open up to strangers but not someone he see’s almost every week, if not every day.
the restaurant table that you were seated at was filled with friends of friends, people you didn’t know, but they knew the brothers. you stayed close to nick, feeling more comfortable with someone you were the closest to. matt and chris sat across from you.
if you were being honest, you felt extremely out of place. almost overwhelmed. you loved going out to eat with them and trying new places, but you weren’t feeling it tonight. you poked and prodded the pasta dish in front of you, losing your appetite.
“hey guys, i think i’m gonna head home for the night, not feeling too hot” you shrug your shoulders lightly and give off an upset look, to say you’re sorry for leaving early without vocalising it.
nick pouts up at you as you raise from your chair, but understands completely.
“are you sure you don’t wanna stay?” he asks, but you shake your head with another apologetic look. you acknowledge everyone on the table, saying it was nice to meet them.
before you could grab your bag and coat, matt speaks up.
“i’ll drive you home,” he begins to stand from his booth seat.
you’re stunned for a moment, not registering he was speaking to you. you look at him with a furrowed eyebrow and softly shake your head.
“no no, it’s okay. i’ll uber. you drove me here, that’s more than enough,” you give a small smile before starting to tuck your chair in.
“please, let me take you home. it’s late, i don’t want you ubering by yourself,” he insists, throwing his hoodie over his arm and moving away from his brother. he gives a ‘i’ll be back’ nod to chris, and chris waves you goodbye, having a mouth full of bread he was occupied with.
he doesn’t waste time pulling his car keys out of his pocket and leading the way to the front door of the restaurant, pushing open the glass for you.
“thank you,” you speak, probably sounding more like a question as you’re trying to wrap your head around matt’s sudden eagerness to not only speak to you, but be alone with you.
his shiny black car is conveniently parked on the curb just outside, and you watch the orange lights flicker as he unlocks it. you observe him as he looks around, making sure there’s no traffic before he jogs around the passenger side and pulls open the door for you.
you slide in, him joining you within seconds. he sighs as soon as he gets behind the wheel, a deep breath to centre himself.
“thank god,” he mumbles.
you chuckle lightly, watching as the weight off his shoulders almost visibly lifts.
“you okay?” you raise an eyebrow. he exhales a laugh.
“yeah, just wanted to get out of there,”
“oh, so you didn’t actually want to take me home, i was just a good excuse?” you speak in a teasing tone, if not to try and lighten the slight awkwardness between you two. you’ve never spoken to him this much. you’ve tried, you speak to everyone. he was just much harder to get through to. for you, at least.
he instantly looks worried, turning to you and shaking his head.
“no, no not at all, it was just, a lot going on in there, too many people and-”
“matt, i was kidding,” you reach over and place your hand on his forearm, in a soothing way, but quickly pull back, realising it stopped his words much faster than you intended.
his face flushes red, and you’re instantly worried you’ve upset him, not knowing how to read him.
“we should go,” he nods and points to the road ahead awkwardly, starting the ignition. you purse your lips together, almost embarrassed, and sit silently as he drives off.
you hated the fact you couldn’t stare at him. the glimpses you did catch, made you squirm in your seat. his hair was a slight mess, covering his eyes partially. his elbow rested on the door panel frame, one hand on the steering wheel, tattoos flashing with every street light you passed, or just barely noticeable under the moonlight.
you’d never realised the extent of your attraction toward matt until now. alone, with him in control. it was a dynamic you’d never thought would happen.
“hey matt,” you ask.
“yeah?” he’s hesitant, your voice cutting through the silence abruptly.
“have i like, done something to offend you? or make you upset?”
he glances at you for a second, still trying to focus on the road ahead.
“what makes you say that?” he asks, and you’re even more confused that he’s confused.
“i don’t know, you’re just really quiet when i’m around. i mean that’s fine, i don’t care, i just wanna make sure we’re cool. you know?” you ramble, not realising you sound the opposite of carefree.
you do care, you want him to like you. or at the very least speak to you. you needed to know, and the perfect time to find out was alone with him.
he’s quiet for a moment, the car slowing down at a red light. he’s gathering his thoughts.
“you make me nervous to speak, y/n” he finally spits out, softly, eyes looking ahead.
you try to hide the smile creeping on your face.
“nervous? how do i make you nervous?” you ask, your head resting back on the car seat, looking at him.
he turns his head, and does the same resting back. he gives a look that says ‘don’t make me say it out loud’
“i didn’t know i had that affect on you,”
“yeah well i preferred it when you didn’t know, i feel stupid now. i’m gonna go back to not saying anything at all,” moving the car forward again, he confesses.
“you’re not stupid, and i much prefer talking to you than being around you in silence.” you’re hoping you don’t come across as too much, too soon.
“and i much prefer hearing you speak. i like the sound of your voice,” he replies, his tone lower, still refusing to look at you. you smile at him, even if he can’t see your reaction.
“just so we’re clear, you don’t hate me?” you sit up, and he laughs, a genuine, from the chest laugh.
“no y/n, i don’t hate you.” he reassures. you’ve spent so much time looking at him that you haven’t observed your surroundings. you recognise a sign, a street sign that usually indicates you’re close to home.
“i like you,” matt speaks again.
“everyone likes you. i think you’re cool. and funny, and really sweet, and kind” he keeps going, two hands on the wheel now, to be extra attentive while still speaking.
“go on,” you tease. he chuckles.
“ahh, okay, you speak to everyone so easily. and always with a smile, i don’t know how you do it,” he shrugs, and you’re taken aback by his comment slightly.
“you do realise whenever we’re in public you quite literally speak to everyone else, except me,” you’re messing with him abit at this point, deciding it’s not going to be something you let of so easily.
“i also don’t care what those people think of me. i think you’re pretty, so the longer i keep my mouth shut the better chance i have of not embarrassing myself around you,” he rambled, almost talking himself out of breath.
you feel your face flush red, and you know the only reaction to have is gonna be one he won’t like.
“you think i’m pretty?” you respond in a slight sing song tone, and he rubs his hand down his cheek.
“i’ll go back to being silent,” he warns, a gravel, husk in his tone.
“sorry, sorry. please don’t. i like this matt,” you respond, and he glances over at you again, the corner of his mouth turning up.
you’re in comfortable silence for a few seconds, before the car slows down again, and the clicking sound of his indicator echos.
“this your street?” he asks, nodding at a street sign ahead of him. the drive felt too short. sickeningly short. you wanted more, more time to talk.
“ah, yeah. that’s it,” you try to not sound disappointed, but you might have accidentally. he knows your house, he’s dropped you off before. your car sat in the driveway further up, so he pulled in just behind.
putting the car in park, he shifts his body to face you in the seat.
“thank you for driving me home,” you have your hand on the door handle, and matt’s eyes are fixated on your moves.
“hey, ah-” he starts, blue eyes finally locking with yours now that you’re still. the moonlight creates a white hue through the windshield glass, reflecting his eyes.
“i’m sorry if i came across cold. it really is nerves. i just can’t find my words sometimes. especially around you.” he leans his elbows on the armrest, and you let go of the door handle to lean further into him, facing each other.
“i wish you told me sooner,” you give him a gentle smile. he runs his hand through his hair.
“me too.” he agrees.
“we don’t have to talk, you know.” your voice is soft.
his eyes dart from your eyes to your lips, you’re hyper aware of his gaze. you feel goosebumps rise on your skin, and you can almost hear yourself swallow the lump in your throat.
“i know,” he agrees again.
“goodnight, matt,” you lean in, planting a gentle kiss on his cheek. you can smell his cologne, and the fruit smell of his shampoo. your chests brush as you lean over the centre console, and for a moment, you stop just past his lips, your eyes glancing toward them as your warm bodies are so close. but you pull away, and he does too.
you wanted to kiss him, you could have, but you only just got him to talk to you. let alone use his mouth for anything else.
“goodnight,” he responds, making sure you’re safe leaving his car. he waits for you as you walk up to the front door, and you look back to see him give you a small wave. it was so wholesome, as sweet as he was.
you quickly walked into the house, replaying everything that had just happened.
you felt butterflies in your stomach and nerves, pure nerves, at the sheer thought of seeing him again.

AN | Don’t worry babe, I’ve got you! But really I love this concept!
Pairing | Joel Miller x Fem!Reader

Masterlist | Joel, Main
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"Joel?" your voice shook, and it was so painfully obvious that you were trying not to cry. Then again, a lot of people had been doing a lot of crying lately. You couldn't blame them; the world had basically ended.
And now it felt like yours was ending all over again. Fuck.
You padded into the living room of the apartment that now served as home for god knows how long. You found him sitting on the couch and staring out the window. He wasn't paying attention to what was going on out there, which happened to be very bleak at the moment.
"Joel?" you called his name again, moving closer and hesitantly putting your hand on his shoulder. He startled easily lately; you didn't want to be the cause of it. He finally snapped back into attention and looked at you, all dark circles and empty eyes. It broke your heart, "I-I have something to tell you."
He remained quiet but looked raised an eyebrow in acknowledgement. You opened and closed your mouth a few times, suddenly at a loss for words.
How were you supposed to tell him that you were pregnant?
The world had come apart at the seams and he'd just lost his daughter. This was absolutely the worst in the world for all of this to happen.
You waved your hands for a moment, wishing the ground would open up and swallow you whole, "I-I'm-"
Before you could go any further, a loud knocking came at the door. Both of you startled as Joel jumped up and walked over to the door, opening it hurriedly, "what?"
"New horde of infected," a man's gruff voice reached your ears, "FEDRA wants everyone to pack up and go now."
"How far away?"
"Less than a mile."
You did not like the sound of that. A lump welled up in your throat as you looked at Joel helplessly. His face hardened into an unreadable expression before he gave the man, you were pretty sure his name was Nick, a hard nod, “we’ll be ready to go.”
“Good,” he was already moving along to the couple next door, “now go, there’s no time to lose.”
Joel slammed the door shut before letting out a long sigh. He was tired, so, so tired, but he couldn’t just give up. He had to keep going, he had to keep pushing.
“Joel?”
“Pack a bag, whatever you want grab,” he motioned towards the bedroom, “it doesn’t really matter anymore, but get what you need.”
“What’s going to happen?” your mind was reeling with worry; about you, him, the baby, and whatever the hell was about to go down, “I-I’m scared.”
“I know baby,” he set his large hands on your shoulders, “but right now you can’t worry about that. Just focus on getting your stuff and leaving. Ten minutes, okay? Then we have to get over to the FEDRA station and leave. Yes?”
“Yes,” you agreed shakily, already padding back to your bedroom to get the few possessions you had felt in the world.
Joel nodded as he went to grab his stuff, knives and guns and other weapons, agreeing to meet at the door shortly.
Time seemed to move in a combination of incredibly fast and wickedly slow and before you knew it, Joel was calling for you to leave. You met him at the door the two of you looked at each other in silent understanding.
The trek over to the FEDRA outpost wasn’t far and the other people in the small community were already in a panic to get out, all scrambling around each other. You grew nervous, wondering if you’d be able to get out in time.
Joel’s hand was on the small of your back as he led you closer to the vehicles designated for exactly this purpose.
The rest of it all happened so fast. The first group of infected had come around and were making their way into what you had once believed to be a safe space. Chaos ensued as some people tried to get out as quickly as possible and others hung back to try and fight.
“Go,” Joel shielded you as he walked you over to the one of the vehicles. You were trying to get him inside with you, holding onto his hand tightly and pulled him.
“Joel-”
“Go,” he insisted firmly and for a moment, time stood still as he kissed you, “go. Get out to safety, okay?”
“What about you?” you hadn’t realized you’d started crying; you hated that he had to be such a good man, “please, come with me now. Please-”
“I’ll find you,” it was a promise both of you knew he might not be able to keep, “I swear it. I’ll find you.”
“Joel-”
“I love you,” he took a step back as the vehicle started up and a few stragglers tried to get on, “I’ll find you soon.”
“I love you,” you cried, “please. Please.”
You weren’t even sure what you were asking for. Everything felt so surreal and left you in a daze; the next thing you knew, he was gone.
You were leaving to get to the next safe space and he was just gone.
You’d never felt more numb.
But you never let go of the hope that one day he’d find you.
Joel Miller was a good man.
A good man that kept his promises.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"Luca!" you sighed softly as you tried to find your son. You loved him dearly, but sometimes he just stressed out. He was just a kid though, and you couldn't be mad at him for that.
He also happened to be extremely friendly and sociable, which made him popular among everyone. You walked down the street to one of his little friend's houses, sure they were just playing.
It was almost too quiet when you got there, and you were sure that they'd gone off somewhere else. You knocked on the door nonetheless and Lisa opened it, smiling when she saw it was you, "hey darlin', I'm afraid they're not here if you're looking for the little bundle of chaos they are."
"I had a feeling," crossing your arms over your chest you rolled your eyes playfully, "it's way too quiet and calm here."
"It's a nice change of pace if I do say so," she winked at you and the two of you exchanged smiles that only a single mother would understand, "do you want to come in for a bit?"
"Rain check?" You asked sheepishly, "I was going to go friend the kiddos….realistically I know they're fine but I'd rather see it with my own eyes."
"Definitely," she gave your shoulder a squeeze, "see you around."
It was a beautiful spring day, warm and breezy with small creatures scurrying about; it always felt like life was back to normal. Or what you had once known as normal…but this had been your reality for almost seven years now. Maybe this was your normal now.
Nonetheless you decided to remain positive and decided instead to head down to the pond where the kids liked to play. Spring had brought around a bunch of ducklings and you were sure that the kids would be mesmerized by them. But, to be quite honest, so were you. The magic of such simple things was not lost on you. Now, more than ever, these sorts of things were so important.
“Luca?” you saw a bunch of small figures around and screaming, and you finally relaxed. As you came into view, the boy grinned at you a big smile on his face, his curls roguish from the wind, “hey babe. You doin’ okay?”
“I’m okay,” he confirmed, his brown eyes sparkling as you ruffled his hair affectionately, “are you okay, mama?”
“Of course,” you crouched down so you were eye level with him, “all better now that I know you’re here. Remember when we talked about letting me know when you go out to play?”
“Yes,” he looked worried for a moment before you shook your head softly, “I’m sorry. I got excited about playing and forgot.”
“It’s okay,” you touched his cheek softly, “I’m not mad. Next time can you please remember to tell me?”
“Okay,” he wrapped his small arms around you, hugging you as best as he could. He was a sweetheart and of all the kids you could have ended up with, you were glad he choose you, “can I go back and play now?”
“Definitely,” tender kisses were pressed to his cheeks as you tickled his sides, “go and be good! I love you, kiddo.”
“I love you too, mama,” and off he was, running back to his friend as you watched him go.
You slowly stood up before stretching and relishing in the popping of your joints. Having been reassured that he was going to be okay, you decided it was time to go back and start tending to the communal gardens. You never really had a green thumb before, but the last few years had really helped you grow.
You were wrapped up in your own thoughts and almost didn’t notice the man in the middle of the sidewalk, clearly confused. You’d heard some newcomers might be headed your way, but you hadn’t come across any of them yet. Having new people around was something you’d come to love; it wasn’t common most of the time.
“Hello there,” you were practically beaming as you bounced over to him. The man turned around at the sound of your voice, “you must be new…”
You stopped dead in your tracks as soon as you met his face, suddenly unsure if this was real life or just a wicked dream. You blinked a few times, trying to clear your vision and figure out if what you were looking at was real. There was no way…absolutely none.
But he looked just like him, watching you with equally curious eyes. Your heart was beating so fast you were surprised it didn’t burst through your ribcage. Your mouth ran dry but you managed to get one singular, “Joel?”
After a moment of stunned silence he nodded before whispering your name in return. The tears were already welling up and threatening to run down your cheeks. Before you knew it, the man that once was your partner, lover - everything - took you in his arms and crushed you to his chest. You didn’t mind.
He was all too familiar, bringing back a rush of memories and emotions as you buried your face in his chest, breathing in his familiar scent. The two of you held onto each other tightly for some time; you were afraid that if you let him go he would disappear again and you would wake up to find it was all a horrible dream.
When he pulled back, he took your face in his hands and gently brushed your tears away with his thumb. He drank you in, trying to understand every single thing that had happened since the day you lost each other, “hi.”
“Hi,” you grinned back with a teary smile, “you’re here. Really here.”
“I’m here,” he promised, leaning in to press a kiss to your forehead, “I’m here.”
“Joel, I-”
“Mama!” the small voice of your son reached your ears as he ran over to the two of you, “I found a little duckie and I don’t see the mom duck and it’s so small and can I keep him?”
“Whoa, bud, slow down there for a moment,” he tucked himself behind your legs, suddenly feeling shy when he realized Joel was there. You could see Joel’s eyes flick to the young boy as his brow furrowed in confusion. You put a hand on his shoulder and encouraged him to introduce himself, “can you say hi?”
“Hi,” he sounded so young as he looked at Joel; their eyes mirroring each other, “I’m Luca.”
“Hi Luca,” he held out his hand to shake the young boy’s much smaller one, his mind racing and reeling with questions. But he was a smart man and could put two and two together, “I’m Joel.”
“My daddy’s name was Joel,” Luca mused as Joel turned his attention back to you, “that’s what mama said anyway. Can I go back to the ducks now?”
“Yeah babe, go ahead. Don’t touch them though and let the mama duck do her thing. I'm sure she'll be back,” he nodded in response before trekking away again, throwing a little wave at the two of you. You nervously turned your attention back to Joel.
“A son?” he asked, his voice thick with emotion as you nodded softly, “we have a son?”
“Yes,” it felt like a huge weight lifted off your shoulders as you finally got to tell him what you had wanted all those years ago, “we have a son. He looks just like you.”
“I never…I had no clue,” he ran a hand over his face in surprise, “I didn’t even know you were pregnant.”
“I found out that day,” also known as the day. When everything fell apart for a second time and you were separated from each other, “I was trying to tell you, right before Nick had come and knocked at our door. I realized that morning that I was…pregnant. And I never got the chance to tell you…when everything just started happening, it didn’t cross my mind again. And then…I lost you. I thought I’d lost you forever.”
“You had to go through all of that alone,” he looked at you in awe as you shrugged lightly, “you had to go through being pregnant alone and then raised our son alone.”
“I had a lot of help along the way,” you admitted softly, “turns out that times like these are good at bringing out the worst and the best of people. I told him about you; from when he was little. I always wanted him to know what a wonderful man his father was. And now…he got to meet you.”
“All this time,” he could cry thinking about it all. You, alone and scared, being pregnant in a world that was collapsing, and then having to raise a son alone. He’d lost Sarah, a loss that hurt still, and he knew always would, and he’d almost lost his son. But the universe, fate, or whatever was out there had given him a second chance. Not only to find you, but to be you and the son you shared, “baby.”
“It’s okay,” this time the tears running down your cheeks were happy, “it’s okay. You’re here now and that’s all that matters. And now you’ll get the opportunity to know Luca, and it’s…all I ever wanted.”
“We have a son,” he repeated as though he was in a daze, a happy blissful daze.
“You don’t have to…if you don’t want to spend time with him or anything I-I understand,” it would kill you, but you’d understand, “I don’t want you to feel obligated just because. O-or if there’s someone else.”
“No,” he shook his head fervently, “there’s never been anyway else. How could there ever be? It was always you for me; you’re still it.”
“Yeah,” you exhaled with a small laugh, relieved to hear his answer, “it’s always been you for me too.”
“I was just planning on passing through,” he touched your face, thumb gently brushing over your cheek, “but if it’s okay with you, I could stay a while.”
“How about forever?” you asked softly, “i-if you want to. I-I mean we can figure it out, but-”
“Forever sounds perfect.”
“Yeah?”
“Yes.”

Hey you should do an angst one where Matt and Y/n get into a fight while in the car and then y/n gets mad and then gets out of the car at a stop light and walkd home in the rain like crying and all that fun jazz, sorry if that's a little confusing.
Rain — Matt Sturniolo x Reader
A/N: @sturniolo-fav-matt you’re the best for putting up with the insane amount of time it took me to write this 💋 | It’s hard to write arguments where the characters don’t both bitch about it, so Matt and Y/N are both in the wrong here (more so Matt though)
Contains: Arguments/Big disagreement/hurt comfort (I think idk if this is sad in the slightest)
Date night hadn’t started well. Quite the opposite. Matt made a dinner reservation for nine. The dinner was supposed to be after he, Chris, and Nick filmed their latest car video, but filming ran late after the camera malfunctioned. So Matt shows up to your date forty minutes late to find you sitting on a park bench outside of the restaurant, arms crossed over your chest.
A light drizzle fell from the sky, dampening your hair and satin dress. Matt hurriedly shuffles over to the bench where you’re seated and frowns when he sees that you’re definitely not happy with him.
“Look who decided to show up,” you quip with a not-so-happy expression on your face.
“I’m sorry,” Matt says, sympathy laced in his expression. You nod, accepting his candor, and wrap your arms around his neck, placing a quick kiss on his lips before speaking. “We lost our dinner reservation,” you say and purse your lips slightly.
Matt nods with a sigh, “Why didn’t you just wait at the table?”
You laugh dryly. “Alone - looking like I got stood up for forty minutes? No thanks.”
Matt smiles accordingly - he loves your witty remarks. “I’m sorry,” he repeats, kissing your forehead. You giggle lightly as his hands rub your hips, feeling butterflies arise in your stomach because you know he hates P.D.A., but he’s touchy like there’s nothing more important than you.
“You’re forgiven,” you say, giving him one more long peck on the lips before pulling back.
You stand silently for a moment before Matt speaks, “I heard a nice ice cream shop opened up a block from here. Want to go?” he questions, looking forward to your response.
You raise a brow, “Ice cream before dinner? You know me so well.”
The second you and Matt enter the shop, a gasp is elicited from the other side of the room, followed by a couple of gaping stares from what looks to be a group of fifteen-year-olds, and an, “Oh my god, is that Matt Sturniolo?”
Matt doesn’t notice this as quickly as you do and makes his way to the front desk, ordering for both you and himself before he’s bombarded with requests for photos. You stand back as he obliges, taking selfie after selfie with awestruck girls. You can’t say it happens a lot, but there have been a definite one or two times, meaning you had a “routine” for the situation; that being, awkwardly waiting in whatever corner of the room you were in for the fangirls to clear.
The clerk holds two cups of ice cream in hand and scoots them over the counter. You recognize them as the flavors Matt ordered and go to pick them up, though, not avoiding the “Matt” that falls from the clerk's tongue, signaling that the orders are ready. You thank the man, grabbing two spoons before taking the two cups of ice cream.
“Um, Mr. Sturniolo,” a girl coughs out, awkwardly tapping Matt's shoulder. Matt lets out an acknowledging hum, and the girl points to you. “That girl took your ice cream,” she says.
Matt laughs, pointing a smile at you. “That’s Nick's friend,” he says with nonchalance, “She’s just grabbing it for me.”
Your stomach drops. You knew he was just saying it because your relationship was off the media, but Nick's friend? He couldn’t have gone as far as to say you were his friend?
Matt finishes taking photos and walks towards the door where you are standing. You pivot to walk out the second he’s next to you, handing him his cup of ice cream and opening the door without a word. Matt doesn’t pick up on your mood change. “It’s so cool to run into fans,” he smiles, “It’s still weird to me, and did you hear how she called me Mr. Sturniolo? That was hilarious,” Matt gushes, spooning a generous amount of ice cream into his mouth.
You nod, giving him a dry, “Yeah,” before stepping past the shop’s awning, momentarily forgetting it was raining. You're snapped back to reality when a large raindrop falls directly on your forehead, dripping down your nose.
“Is your car close?” You ask. Matt nods.
༯ ༯ ༯
“Will you ever want to go public?” You ask once you're situated in the car, strapping your seatbelt over your torso as you speak.
Matt pauses for a second before he speaks, giving you time to get used to the pattering of rain on the windshield. “Maybe,” he mutters, with no clarity in his answer whatsoever.
“I just think we should revisit the conversation, Matt. I don’t want to always have to act like one of your ‘bros,’” you press, looking at him intently. Your harsh expression doesn’t waver when he speaks.
“I don’t want to talk about this right now, Y/N.”
Your heart aches, but you continue. “You never want to talk about this, Matt.”
Matt grips the steering wheel harder, and his knuckles turn white where the most pressure is applied. “You're getting on my nerves," he spits, looking not at you, but at the road.
“Matt…”
“Stop,” he grits his teeth, “just shut up! I said I don’t want to fucking talk about it.”
Your jaw tightens with anger. “I don’t care if you don’t want to talk about it, Matthew. You’re acting like a child. You have six - six million followers! And I have to act like I'm some celebrity hiding from the paparazzi because you can’t deal with the fact that you have a girlfriend who wants to be seen with you?”
This is a blow to Matt’s confidence, and he takes it as an insult to both his career and him. “You’re unreasonable,” Matt mutters, taking a harsh breath.
“Are you kidding me? You’re the only unreasonable one here, Matthew,” you spit, throwing your hands down against your thighs in frustration.
Matt doesn't respond to this. The only sounds in the car are the acceleration of the engine and the occasional clicking of the blinkers.
You sit in silence for minutes before your anxiousness has you spitting out a question. “Are you embarrassed of me?”
Matt shakes his head ‘No,’ but he’s still angry. “It’s not a big deal if we’re public if we’re both happy in this relationship,” he says with a sternness in his voice that says don’t push it.
“But-“
“But? Are you not happy?” Matt raises a brow with a question.
“Obviously I'm not happy, Matt! I’m not your fuck buddy; I’m your girlfriend. I shouldn’t have to act like I’m in the shadows all the time. I don’t want to be in your videos or anything! I just want you to acknowledge me as your girlfriend!” you claim lightly, your voice emotionally raising in pitch because everything you say, Matt ignores.
Matt ignores this too, further frustrating you. You know he’s paying attention to your words too, because of the way his face changes and the way his grip on the steering wheel is constantly tight.
He doesn’t respond, just lets out a deep sigh.
You feel a wave of emotions crashing over you, hitting you like a bus, and a fat tear rolls down your cheek in silence.
Matt notices this.
“Y/N…” he moves his hand from the steering wheel to your thigh, rubbing up and down soothingly while keeping his other hand occupied with steering.
“Don’t ‘Y/N’ me now,” you say, voice wobbling with emotion.
“Look, I’m sorry-“
”Can we go public?”
“Y/N,”
You cut him off, “Then you're not sorry.”
“That’s not fair.”
The argument is futile. Both of you know this, so you don’t continue because the streetlights start blurring in your eyes and the stereo becomes too much, making your chest tight with emotion.
You don’t want to be in the car anymore. The car with him.
“Matt let me out,” you say, feeling the car come to a halt at a stoplight. “What are you on about?” Matt questions, gritting his teeth, leaning back momentarily against the car’s seat.
“I don’t want to be in here with you anymore,” your voice wavers.
“It’s raining, Y/N.”
“Let me out.”
Matt begrudgingly complies, clicking the locked door open. You snap your seatbelt off and step out of the car, immediately feeling the wetness of rain droplets against your head. You walk out of the road, heels clanking on the pavement as you do so.
When the stoplight turns green, you watch Matt drive away. It’s not his fault, you try to tell yourself. You insisted on getting out. But still, your emotions overtake your mind, and inevitable tears slip from your eyes.
You wish you and Matt didn’t argue. No. You wish you had his jacket, but also that you didn’t fight. So instead of standing still, you start your trek to your apartment. A twenty-minute walk in your not-so-impervious satin dress.
༯ ༯ ༯
When you get home, the sadness hits you. Was the argument worth it? What if he’s so mad he breaks up with you?
Your negative thoughts only have you crying harder, so you trek to your room, strip off your rain-ridden clothes, and take a warm shower, washing the salt of rain off your body as you tremble with sobs.
You shower for far too long, running your hands through your wet hair as a silky comfort and washing the repentance of the day off your physical form. Not your mental form.
When you step out of the shower, the tile is cold. You throw on a robe and make a beeline for your dresser where you left your phone, needing to talk to Matt.
To Matt Sturniolo: I’m sorry for getting mad
To Matt Sturniolo: I miss you
To Matt Sturniolo: I’m sorry I’m not mad anymore
You take a second, typing anxiously as you wait for his read receipt to show up. When it does, he texts back instantaneously.
From Matt Sturniolo: Are you okay? I’m coming over.
Matt’s at yours in minutes, shortening the drive after making half a dozen illegal turns.
You’re waiting at the door when he knocks, opening the front before his fist can meet the door a second time. When the door creaks open, you're met with a wet, worried Matt. His hair is damp, clinging to his forehead after only the walk from the parking lot to your door. His eyes scan your body as you awkwardly stand in front of him.
“I’m sorry,” you say, your voice sad. Matt takes note of this and steps closer to you, closing your apartment door behind you and pulling you into his chest.
He runs a thumb over your cheek, wiping off the remnants of stray tears, and sighs, feeling your heartbeat against his chest.
“It's not your fault, baby. I was being a dick,” Matt says apologetically. You wrap your arms tightly around his waist, embracing yourself in the hug and sniffling against him.
“I am happy in our relationship. I lied,” you mutter.
“I know, but you could be happier,” Matt hums, pulling away from the hug and pressing a kiss to your forehead before pulling his phone out. He swipes for a bit before turning it to you.
“You like this picture?” he asks. It's a picture of both of your eyes that you’d taken in a moment of pure happiness, right after you’d complimented how his irises looked in the sun. You nod, unsure of what he’s doing but smile out a ‘yeah.’
He’s on his phone for another two minutes before he clicks it off. “Check my Instagram,” he says. You pull your phone out of your back pocket and open the app, viewing Matt's most recent post.

Matt's POV
From the moment I saw her walk out of her apartment, I knew tonight was going to be different. I was sitting in the driver's seat, my eyes glued to the entrance as Nick texted her that we were outside. I don’t know what I was expecting, but when she stepped out, I felt like the wind had been knocked out of me. She wore a simple crop top with a flannel over it, paired with jeans that hugged her just right. Her hair fell effortlessly over her shoulders. There was something about the way she looked tonight that made my chest tighten. I didn’t want to stare, but I couldn’t help it. She seemed nervous, like she wasn’t sure if she was doing the right thing by coming with us. But when she finally reached the car and Nick slid the door open for her, something inside me clicked. Seeing her climb into the back seat, sharing those two seats with Nick while Madi and Nate took the third row, I felt this odd sense of peace. Like she was supposed to be there with us, with me.
As we were driving, I kept sneaking glances in the rearview mirror, catching glimpses of her laughing with Nick or looking out the window, lost in thought. I couldn’t help the feeling that I wanted to be the one to make her laugh like that. I wanted to be the one she felt comfortable enough with to share whatever thoughts were making her stare off into the distance.
When we arrived at Topgolf, I made sure to swing open the door on her side, hoping to make her feel welcome, even though she was already surrounded by friends. Our eyes met, and for a split second, it was just the two of us. I couldn’t explain it, but it was like a spark, a quiet acknowledgment that there was something more between us, even if neither of us were ready to admit it.
Once we were inside and settled into our booth, I focused on getting everyone’s names into the system. When it came to hers, I couldn’t resist. Instead of typing in her full name, I put in her nickname, something I’ve only heard a handful of people call her. It was my way of letting her know that I saw her as more than just part of the group. I wanted her to feel like she belonged, that she was important, even if I couldn’t say it out loud.
Watching her step up to take her first shot, I couldn’t help but be captivated by her. She was clearly nervous, but she tried not to show it. When she hit the ball into the net below, the look on her face was priceless. Everyone was laughing, but I didn’t want her to feel embarrassed. I teased her about it, trying to keep things light, but when she admitted that she was scared to swing properly, I felt this overwhelming urge to help her. I didn’t think twice before walking over to her. I wanted to be the one to show her that she could do it. Standing behind her, guiding her hands on the club, it was like everything else faded away. It was just us. Her hair brushed against my face as I leaned in to position her grip, and I could feel the warmth of her body against mine. My heart was pounding in my chest, and I wondered if she could feel it too.
As we hit the ball together and it flew down the field, I felt this surge of pride. The smile on her face when she realized she could do it was enough to make my whole night.
I watched her hit the next few balls with newfound confidence, each shot getting better than the last. And every time she succeeded, I couldn’t stop myself from cheering her on. It wasn’t just about the game anymore. It was about seeing her believe in herself, knowing that I had been a part of that.
When she finally sat down next to me, I felt this pull toward her. We started talking, and it was easy, like we’d known each other for years, even though there’d recently been distance between us. There was something about being around her that made everything else seem insignificant. The way she laughed, the way she listened, it made me want to keep talking to her, to keep finding reasons to stay by her side.
As the game wrapped up, I realized something that had been simmering under the surface all night. I liked her. Not just in a casual way, but in a way that made me nervous, made me second guess every move I made. I hadn’t felt this way about anyone in a long time, and it hit me like a ton of bricks.
When Nate suggested going to the beach, I looked at her to see if she was on board. And when she said she loved the beach at night, I felt that same pull again. I wanted to be there with her, to share that experience.
As we all piled back into my car, I couldn’t help but think about how much I wanted this night to last. I wasn’t ready for it to end, for her to go back to her apartment and for me to be left wondering what could have been. This wasn’t just a regular night out with friends anymore, it was the start of something. Something I couldn’t quite put into words, but something that I knew I didn’t want to let go of. Even if I was crossing a line.
Y/n's POV
The car ride to the beach was filled with laughter and the kind of easy conversation that only comes from being surrounded by close friends. Nick suggested we go to Venice Beach, and everyone quickly agreed. I loved Venice at night, the way the boardwalk lights reflected off the water, the Santa Monica pier lights in the distance, the smell of saltwater in the air. It felt like the perfect way to finish off an unexpectedly wonderful evening.
As we got closer to the beach, I could feel the excitement building. But there was also that same nervousness from earlier, a fluttering in my stomach that I couldn’t quite shake, especially every time Matt glanced over at me. I tried to push it down, telling myself it was just the thrill of being out late with friends, but deep down, I knew it was more than that.
When we finally parked and got out of the car, everyone seemed to naturally pair off. Nick fell into step with Madi, and Chris joined Nate, leaving me and Matt to walk together. I didn’t mind, who was I kidding? I liked it. Being with Matt felt easy and natural, like we were just two parts of the same whole. As we walked across the beach, the sand beneath our feet, I noticed we’d drifted a little behind the others, giving us some space to talk.
I could hear the distant rush of the waves, the occasional laugh from the group up ahead, but all I could focus on was Matt. There was something calming about being around him, and I found myself relaxing in a way I hadn’t expected.
As we walked, Matt broke the silence first, his voice low and curious. “You know, I was kind of surprised you agreed to come tonight.”
I glanced over at him, raising an eyebrow. “Why’s that?” Fuck. Have I been reading everything wrong?
He shrugged, a playful smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “I don’t know. I just didn’t think Topgolf was your kind of scene.”
“Well, if you couldn’t tell from the start of the night, it’s not” I admitted, chuckling. “But I figured it could be fun. Besides, Nick can be pretty convincing.”
Matt laughed, nodding in agreement. “Yeah, he definitely has a way of roping people into things.”
I smiled, feeling more nervous about being here now with each passing second. “Honestly, I was a little nervous at first. I didn’t want to intrude on your night out with Nate and everyone.”
“You weren’t intruding at all,” Matt said quickly, his tone sincere. “I’m glad you came. It wouldn’t have been the same without you.”
I looked at him, surprised by the warmth in his words, that sentence alone got rid of any doubt in my mind. “Really?”
“Yeah” he said, meeting my eyes. “You make things better, more fun. It’s like you just fit, you know?”
His words caught me off guard, making my heart skip a beat. There was something in the way he said it, it was genuine, that made me feel like I truly belonged. I hadn’t expected him to be so open about how he felt, and it stirred something inside me, something that made me want to open up too.
“I wasn’t sure what to expect tonight,” I admitted, my voice a little softer now. “But I’m glad I came too. It’s been a while since I’ve had this much fun.”
Matt smiled at me, and for a moment, the world around us seemed to fade, leaving just the two of us on this moonlit beach. The connection between us felt stronger than ever, and I realized that I was beginning to see him in a different light, one that I wasn’t sure how to deal with yet.
He broke the silence again, his tone light but with a hint of something deeper. “So, what’s been going on with you lately? You seem.. different.”
“Different?” I echoed, curious. “How so?”
“Not in a bad way” he quickly clarified. “Just.. I don’t know, more relaxed, maybe? It’s like you’re figuring things out.”
I thought about his words, realizing there was some truth to them. “I guess I am,” I said slowly. “I’ve been trying to sort through some stuff, figure out what I really want.”
Before Matt could reply, Nick’s voice broke through as he turned around and called out from a distance, "Y/n, are you gonna get in the water?" He shouted in our direction.
I shook my head, smiling at his enthusiasm but not really feeling up for it. “No I’m okay, thank you.” I called back.
“What why?” Nick asked, a playful challenge in his voice.
Before I could answer, Matt spoke up, his voice warm with the hint of a smile. “She doesn’t like the fish swimming around her feet.”
I glanced at him, “Oh my god you remember that?” I was surprised and touched that he remembered. It was something I’d mentioned the first time we met during the double date. I didn’t expect him to remember such a small detail, but the fact that he did made my heart skip a beat.
“Of course I did, it’s cute.” He laughed, teasing me.
The others laughed and started heading toward the water, but Matt and I hung back, continuing our slow walk along the beach. The further we went, the quieter it got, the sounds of the group and the city fading into the background until it felt like it was just the two of us and the ocean.
“Speeding Car.” Matt said bluntly.
I glanced over at him, to give him the go ahead.
“I want the real answer this time.” he said, his tone half joking but with an edge of seriousness that made me pause.
“Okay” I said cautiously, wondering what he was about to ask.
He stopped walking, turning to face me. “Why did you really stop figure skating?”
The question caught me off guard. I hadn’t expected him to bring that up.
“Alex..” I finally admitted, my voice quiet. “He had football practice on the same days I had training, so it clashed. He’s got a real shot at going somewhere with football, and he needed someone at home to help him out, to prepare meals and stuff. I guess I just made the sacrifice.”
Saying it out loud felt strange, like I was finally acknowledging something I’d kept buried for so long. I hadn’t realized how much it had affected me until now, standing here with Matt, who was listening to me in a way that made me feel seen. Really seen.
Matt didn’t say anything right away, but I could tell he was processing what I’d said. His eyes softened, and he took a step closer, closing the distance between us. “That’s.. a lot to give up.” he said gently.
“Yeah..” I agreed, feeling a lump form in my throat. “I didn’t really think about it at the time. It just felt like the right thing to do. But I miss it. It was something I loved, something I thought I’d make a career out of, but I guess I thought Alex’s future was more important than my own.”
Matt reached out, his hand brushing against mine, and I looked up at him, startled by the warmth in his eyes. “Your future is important too,” he said softly. “You deserve to do what makes you happy, not just what makes other people happy.”
I swallowed hard, the emotion in his words hitting me deeper than I expected. I wasn’t used to people telling me things like that, and it stirred something inside me, something I hadn’t felt in a long time.
“Thanks,” I whispered, giving him a small smile. “That means a lot.”
“So I’m guessing you were one of those girls who could do all the spins and jumps, then?” He said, lightening the conversation again.
I felt a blush creep up my cheeks, the memory of my skating days still vivid in my mind. “I had my fair share of spins and jumps yes.” I admitted, glancing at him shyly. “I was aiming to qualify for the Olympics before I left.”
“The Olympics?!” Matt says as his jaw drops. “I would pay good money to see you out there on the ice. You’re probably a natural out there.”
I couldn’t help but laugh again, the flattery both surprising and a little overwhelming. “It’s been years, I’d probably fall flat on my face now.”
Matt shook his head, giving me a look that was both sincere and playful. “I don’t believe that for a second. I bet you’d still be amazing.”
His words, lighthearted as they were, made something warm boom in my chest. I found myself wanting to keep the conversation going, it was clear to me there was a level of flirting, and I was curious to see how far it’d go.
“Well” I said, trying to sound casual despite the flutter in my stomach, “Maybe one day I’ll show you.. But only if you promise not to laugh when I fall.”
He smirked, leaning in a little closer. “Deal. But only if you promise to teach me a few things. I’ve always wanted to impress people with a good spin.”
I couldn’t help but grin at the image of Matt attempting a spin on the ice. “Oh now that's what I’d pay good money to see.”
“Careful” he said, his tone teasing yet with an edge of sincerity. “I might just hold you to that.”
The way he was looking at me made my breath catch for a moment, his eyes sparkling with that easy charm that I was starting to find harder and harder to resist. The playful nature between us was light, fun, but there was something deeper underneath it, a connection I hadn’t really expected but was definitely feeling. And in that moment, it hit me again how easy it was to talk to Matt, how natural it felt to flirt with him, and how much I was starting to enjoy these little moments between us. Moments that, until now, I hadn’t realized I’d been craving.
But before I could say anything else, Matt’s expression softened, the playfulness in his eyes giving way to something more serious as he stopped walking and turned to face me..
Matt's POV
As we walked along the beach, I couldn’t help but steal glances at Y/n. The moonlight played off her features, making her look even more stunning than usual. I felt a strange sense of peace just being beside her, like everything in the world was right for a moment. From the moment we stepped out of the car, I’d been trying to show her how much I enjoyed her company, and how much I valued her being there tonight.
The beach was quiet except for the sound of the waves lapping at the shore. Everyone else had gone ahead, but I was glad we were hanging back. It gave me a chance to be close to her, to talk to her without the usual noise and distractions. I wanted her to know that I wasn’t just making small talk, that I genuinely liked being around her.
I tried to make conversation surrounding her life, hoping that if I told her I could see a change in her she might open up to me more about Alex. I wondered where her head was at since I overheard their argument, but it also made me wonder if she knew the conversation I also had with him.
I thought the conversation was about to take off somewhere until Nick called out asking if Y/n was going to get in the water, I jumped in before she could answer why not, teasing her about her fear of fish. The memory of our first meeting, when she’d shyly mentioned it, made me smile. It was such a small thing, but I remembered it vividly, like I remembered every other detail about her.
She gave me that playful glare, and I could see she was surprised I’d remembered. I liked seeing her surprised, catching her off guard. It made her smile in a way that felt like a reward. And when I told her I thought it was cute, I meant it. Everything about her was cute, in a way that made me breathless just thinking about it.
As we kept walking, I realized how easy it was to talk to her. The flirting had come naturally, like we were both in sync, both wanting the same thing but dancing around it. It was like that night on my couch all over again, but this time, the feeling was even stronger. I could tell she was enjoying it too, her smile lingering longer, her laugh a little softer.
When I asked her about skating, I already knew the answer. I’d knew by how she answered about it the first time that Alex was the reason she’d stopped. I just wanted to hear her say it, to see if she’d let her guard down with me. And when she finally admitted it, I felt a mix of emotions. Part of me was angry at Alex for making her give up something she loved, but another part of me was just grateful that she was being honest with me.
As we continued walking, the conversation between us felt more intimate, more real. I could feel the tension between us growing, the kind that made my pulse quicken. I glanced over at her, taking in how beautiful she looked with the moonlight in her eyes. My thoughts drifted back to that night on the couch, how close we’d been, how much I’d wanted to kiss her then. But now, standing here with her on the beach, that feeling was even more intense. I wanted to close the distance between us, to see if she felt the same way I did.
I took a step closer to her, my heart pounding in my chest. I could feel the air between us shift, the moment stretching out as I leaned in just a little. I hoped sh-
“Matt!” Nick’s voice broke through the moment, pulling me back to reality.
I cursed silently under my breath, frustrated at the interruption. I took a step back, trying to regain my composure, but the moment was lost. I glanced at Y/n, wondering if she felt the same disappointment I did.
She looked back at me, her eyes reflecting the same mix of emotions I was feeling. I could tell she wasn’t sure where her head was at, that she was still figuring out what all of this meant. But I knew one thing for certain, I liked her, a lot. And I wasn’t going to let this moment be the last one like it.
As we started to head back toward the group, I made a silent promise to myself. I was going to find a way to tell her, to show her how much she meant to me. And when the moment was right, I wouldn’t hesitate.
Y/n's POV
The moment between me and Matt was heavenly. The air was thick with anticipation, and I could feel the pull between us, like we were both standing on the edge of something inevitable. His eyes locked onto mine, and for a brief second, it felt like the right thing to do. My heart raced as he stepped closer, closing the small gap between us. I felt a shiver run down my spine, my breath catching in my throat.
But then, like a bucket of cold water, Nick’s voice cut through the tension.
“Matt!” he shouted, snapping us both out of the trance we were under.
I blinked, reality crashing back in as I turned to see Nick running up the beach toward us. The trance we put each other under was broken, and I had to acknowledge to myself that we’d been on the verge of kissing again. My pulse was still racing as Nick reached us, a mix of disappointment and confusion swirling in my body.
“Chris is convinced he got stung by a jellyfish.” Nick said, sounding more amused than concerned. “He needs you to come back and open the car.”
I glanced at Matt, who looked just as frustrated as I felt. We’d been so close, and now, the moment was gone. With a resigned sigh, we began walking back down the beach together, the easy rhythm we’d found earlier now tinged with an awkwardness we hadn’t had before.
As we reached the others, I immediately asked Chris if he was okay, hoping to distract myself from the lingering tension between Matt and me.
“It was a false alarm.” Chris said sheepishly. “Just seaweed.”
I let out a small laugh, relieved that it wasn’t anything serious, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of disappointment. I glanced at Matt, and the frustration was clear on his face. He seemed as though he was trying to hide it, but I could tell he was just as upset by the interruption as I was.
Everyone was tired at this point, and it didn’t take long for us all to agree that it was best to call it a night. We piled back into the car, settling into the same seats we had all night.
Matt started the car when suddenly, the dashboard screen lit up, casting a soft glow over the car’s interior. My eyes were drawn to the sudden light, curious about what had caused it. Matt was getting a call, and when I saw the name on the screen, my heart sank. Emily.

matt sturniolo x reader
summary: three times you try to get the attention of your boyfriend and one time he finally notices, but it’s to late. part two
warnings: swearing, major angst, kinda shitty boyfriend matt, break up
THE STREAMING INCIDENT
your day seemingly couldn’t have gotten worse. you started your morning with a flat tire. having to call a tow truck and an uber costing you a whopping three hundred dollars. you got to work and everything was going fine until you you cut your hand on a box opener causing you to have to get six stitches to your palm. all you wanted to do now was see your boyfriend and his brothers because you knew that could cheer you up.
walking up the stairs into the common area of the triplets house, you were already greeted with chris and nick. you could tell this is what you needed. you just needed to be around your favorite boys. “whoa kid what did you do to your hand?” chris exclaimed when he saw the blood covered gauze on your palm. “honestly chris i don’t really want to begin to talk about how shitty my day was,” you said with a chuckle, “but i cut it in a box opener at work and had to go get some stitches. no biggie.”
“no, that is a biggie,” nick said. “yeah just wait until matt finds out.” chris responds giving you a side hug. “we’re glad you’re okay now though. go get your man.”
with your spirits brightened you made your way to matt’s room. his lights were on and he was at his desk playing fortnite. you walked over to him with a smile etched on your face. once you got to him you put your arms around his shoulders from behind and rested your head on top of them. “hey i’m streaming,” he said gently removing you from him. he muted his mic for a minute telling the stream he’d be right back. your relationship was definitely no secret so him reacting this way was a bit confusing. he got up from his chair and pulled you out of frame from the stream. “i’m gonna be a little bit can you go wait in the living room?” before you got the chance to respond he was ushering you out of his room and closing the door in your face.
“hey what was that about?” chris asks from the couch. “no clue” you responded with a shrug.
a few hours went by with still no acknowledgement from matt. you decided you would say goodbye quick before heading home. you knocked on his door hearing a quick ‘come in’. opening the door to find him laying in bed. you were confused as to why he didn’t come out to see you or ask you to come sit with him, but you brushed it off.
“hey, i just wanted to let you know that i’m leaving.” you said with a smile that was quickly removed when matt barely noticed your presence. “matt?” he finally looked up. “i didn’t appreciate how you just barged into my room earlier. i was streaming and they didn’t have to see you all over me.” matt said raising his voice.
you were so incredibly shocked at his words that you were speechless. tears began to well up in your eyes. “i’m so sorry. it won’t happen again.” you quickly made your way out of his room and past nick and chris not wanting to raise suspicions due to your state. you went home that night feeling utterly alone and confused. strike one.
THE PARTY
Tara’s parties had become the biggest events of the year. when the boys introduced you to tara you guys immediately hit it off, becoming basically inseparable. when tara asked you to host a party with her you knew it was an opportunity you couldn’t turn down.
since matt missed her one million party he promised to join you guys at this one. you guys had tara’s house completely decked out in black and pink decorations. the dj was beginning to play music and drinks were being poured. people filled in quickly, and you and tara began to make your rounds. saying hi to everyone, taking shots, and dancing.
you weren’t a big drinker. it was safe to say that you and the triplets were the four most sober people in tara’s house, but that didn’t stop you from questioning yourself when you thought your eyes were fooling you. there matt was against a back wall of the living room talking to some random girl. you didn’t want to jump to conclusions, but you couldn’t help how your stomach turned in jealousy as you watched them.
matt was supposed to be by your side tonight. you knew he wasn’t the biggest partier but you figured he’d at least take comfort by you as you guys enjoyed yourselves. you quickly made your way to nick and chris. “hey who’s that girl matt’s with?” you questioned. the music was so loud it was hard to hear their response, they both made comments about how they didn’t know who she was either. “i’m going to go talk to him.”
you pushed through the crowd, being stopped multiple times to take pictures. you adjusted your dress and finally made it to matt. he stopped his conversation as you slid you hand down his arm into his. he hastily yanked his hand away throwing you for a loop. you quickly collected yourself. “hey, i don’t want to interrupt, but i was wondering is you wanted to dance with me.” before matt could comment the girl across from his spoke up. “if you didn’t want to interrupt then why did you?” she asked with an attitude.
not wanting to get into a fight you simply scoffed and walked away. your heart broke a little bit when matt didn’t come after you. instead he went back to his conversation and you went to a bottle of vodka. strike two.
THE TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY
after your past two humiliating bad encounters, matt had become more and more distant with you. months had gone by where you felt like you were walking on eggshells everytime you were around him. some days he was your normal happy matt, but most days he was miserable and tired and mean. he made everything bad in his life your fault. you tried not to overthink it. everyone has bad days, but matt’s been having bad months and it’s starting to take a toll on you.
today was yours and matt’s two year anniversary. you were so excited but you couldn’t help but feel hesitant. you didn’t know what kind of mood matt was going to be in today. he had been in meetings with nick and chris that morning, but nick let you know that they were done at 2 so matt had agreed to meet you at 7.
these plans had been set in stone for weeks if not a month. you even reminded matt about it the night before to make sure he was still okay with the itinerary. you somehow had managed to get reservations to matt’s favorite restaurant and the place you had your first date. places like this booked out months in advance so you had stocked the waiting list for this exact day to open up. after that you guys were going to go to the theater. matt wasn’t a huge theater fan but he agreed because he knew how much you loved it, and because you made the dinner reservation based around him. it seemed only fair.
you left your house at 6:30 sending matt a quick text that you were heading to the restaurant, making it there just in time for your reservation. matt not being on time was unusual. so when you arrived before him it was a little shocking. you sent him another text asking him if he was on his way as the waiter brought you over to your table.
after an hour, 10 texts, 2 phone calls, and still no response from matt, the waiter came back over to your table politely asking you to leave as others were waiting to be seated. you couldn’t tell him no. even though you really wanted to keep waiting for matt you had a feeling he wasn’t going to show. you knew how hard it was to get a seat in this restaurant so you weren’t going to take that away from a happy couple who would enjoy it.
the tears didn’t come until you were safely in the car and out of the view of the public. you felt embarrassed. you had just been stood up by your boyfriend of two fucking years. you didn’t understand what had happened.
you tried calling him again from your car. it didn’t even ring this time. you were sent straight to voicemail. the tears came faster and the sobs became louder as you watched the sunset from your window. you decided calling chris might give you the best chance of reassurance. unlike your call to your boyfriend, chris picked up instantly. “hey kid! what’s up?aren’t you with matt for your anniversary?” chris’s energy seemed slightly draining to you in this moment. you tried to think of ways to respond without completely bashing his triplet brother out of the pain you were feeling. “actually that’s why i’m calling you… matt didn’t show up. i was wondering if you’ve seen or heard from him at all.” there was a brief moment of silence from chris as he tried to process the information he was just given. last he knew matt was with you, but as he made his way upstairs he realized matt was still in his room. “hey y/n/n, matt’s still in his room let me see what he’s doing. mute yourself for a sec, okay?”
you listened carefully to their conversation as you realized matt had no intentions meeting you tonight. “hey matt! what are you doing tonight?” “i’m going to that party with paige.” the mention of another girls name made your stomach turn. you didn’t want to believe matt was cheating on you. “what about y/n? wasn’t your anniversary thing tonight?” chris was trying to get the most information out of matt and you were internally grateful.
“i don’t know chris. i tuned her out months ago. she’s so needy. it’s not like i’m cheating on her i just need some space.” that’s when you decided you’d heard enough. you can’t believe the things matt’s said, but his words did match his actions so you weren’t totally surprised. one thing about matt was that he was always honest. even if it was at the expense of another.
you drove home that night in silence. hurt by matt, mad at yourself, and in shock at the world. strike three.
THE HALF-ASSED APOLOGY
since your anniversary date with matt that he blew off, you’ve decided to give him the space he apparently wants. even after a month, you still hadn’t heard anything from him. not a text, not a call, not even a lousy snapchat.
you had heard from nick and chris though. they were disappointed in matt, to say the least. as much as you wanted to be petty and still hangout with those two you knew it wasn’t right. they shouldn’t have to pick sides between their friend and their brother. family comes first, and that’s what you told them when they came over to your house begging you to come talk to matt. you stopped responding to them after that night.
since it had been a quite few weeks, you established a new routine that was the rotation of work and home. you know you shouldn’t have, but you watched every video the triplets had put out. your focus was always drawn to matt. you tried to pinpoint if there was a shift in his attitude or if he seemed different. it hurt when you realized he seemed happier.
you had just gotten home from work when you were making dinner and there was an interruption in your routine. a knock came to your front door. when you looked out and saw matt you were shocked. you could’ve never expected this. you spent the first two weeks of your separation wishing and hoping matt would show up at your front door, but now you don’t know if you want to hear what he has to say.
you quickly fixed your posture as you opened the front door. you wanted to look like you had your shit together even though you were slowly falling apart. matt spoke first, “can i come in?” you didn’t know if any words would come out if you even attempted to open your mouth so you opted to just open the door wider allowing him entrance.
“i wanted to come talk to you. i hadn’t heard from you in a while so i thought i’d come check up on you.” matt seemed so oblivious and this made you angry. you could feel the pain and frustration bring tears to your eyes. you were no longer crying out of sadness.
“matt…i’m going to be so for real with you right now.” you paused to take a deep breath. you were trying so hard to keep your composure. “i genuinely don’t know what’s going through your head. how can you sit here and say you want to check up on me when i haven’t heard a peep out of you for a month matt. a fucking month.” “i know i’m sorry-” “i’m not done. you abandoned me on our anniversary to go to some random assholes party with a girl you barely know. you told chris that you didn’t care about us and that i was needy.” he looked at you in surprise and you could tell there was a slight hint of shame in his eyes. “yeah i new about that.” you added.
you kept going, you had so much pent up frustration with matt that you couldn’t hold in your feelings anymore. “for months i let go of the yelling and the bad moods just for you to turn around and go off with other girls. how is that fair? how did you sit at home for a month and not wonder what your girlfriend was doing? you haven’t heard from me because you wanted space, but i also don’t remember hearing from you either.” you were so upset that you were basically hyperventilating. matt grabbed your hand and used his other to wipe your face. “you have to breath, sweetheart. can you please breath for me?” matt asks. you push him off of you him a frenzy. you ran your hands through your hair giving him a teary laugh. “can i do it for you?” you asked. matt felt that in this moment if looks could kill he’d be dead. “i’m done doing anything for you. if the past month wasn’t any indication, we’re done.” “no y/n you don’t mean that.” he tried walking over to you but you put your hand up signaling for him to stay back. “y/n i am so sorry for everything. please you just have to give me another chance. i promise i can be better.” you chose not to acknowledge him anymore. the back and forth wasn’t going to get you anywhere. you silently walked over to your door and opened it. matt looked at you with a pleeding look before inevitably giving in, leaving your house. you slammed the door behind him falling into it as tears streamed down your face. you’re out.
an: my own feelings have been hurt by this one.

flash me (rooster x reader)
*based on the episode of new girl where Jess walks in on Nick*
“I have to move out.”
Natasha set her drink back on the table, “Did Bradshaw finally drive you crazy? I told you having him as a roommate would eventually make you want to pull your hair out. Is he leaving the toilet seat up all of the time?”
“No, that’s not it.”
“Is he having too many “special” guests over?”
You shook your head, “Nope.”
“Then what happened?”
You looked around to see if any of the squad members were close enough to hear your conversation.
“Uh, I walked in on him.” You whispered.
Natasha leaned close, “What did you say? I can barely hear you.”
“I walked in on him in the bathroom.” You quickly said.
Your best friend looked a little confused, “Was he on the toilet?”
“I walked in on him naked!”
Natasha froze and the started laughing as if you said the funniest joke she’d ever heard. It annoyed you but you knew if situations were reversed you’d be laughing your ass off too.
Just then, Jake sidled up to you as if appearing out of nowhere, “I heard the word “naked” and Phoenix laughed so hard she has tears coming out. I have to get in on this conversation.”
“(Y/n) walked in on Bradshaw naked.” Natasha blurted out as she wiped away her tears.
You tried to pinch her but she moved out of your grasp, “I wasn’t trying to tell the whole damn bar!”
“I won’t say anything, sweets.” Jake promised, “Now, what did you see? A little backside? Full frontal?”
You looked down at your hands, “Uh both?”
“You poor lady. Seeing Bradshaw naked can be absolutely traumatic for anybody.” Jake joked.
You rolled your eyes, “I’m not traumatized! I just can’t look him in the eyes anymore which makes our living situation awkward.”
“How did he react?”
“He tried to cover himself as much as he could but it was too late. This is why I always scold him to lock the damn bathroom door!”
“You know what you have to do right?” Jake asked.
“Move out, change my name and run to Europe.”
He chuckled at your plan, “No, sweets. You got to show him something of yours.”
“Hangman, you’re an idiot.” Natasha told him.
He ignored her, “Think about it. You’d be even and not at all embarrassed every time that you see him. A flash is all it takes.”
“Please don’t listen to him. You don’t have to flash Bradshaw. Just talk to him. Acknowledging how awkward it is and moving on like adults is the right thing to do.” Natasha gave sound advice that you should definitely listen to.
“Phoenix, that sounds like the logical thing to do but I might go with Jake’s plan.”
“Why do I even bother to give out advice?” Natasha mumbled to no one.
“I appreciate your advice but I feel like I’m always going to feel awkward if things are even.”
Before Natasha could respond with how ridiculous you were being, Bradley walked into the bar. He looked around and spotted you instantly. It wasn’t hard to detect the pink tint that dusted his cheeks.
Bradley went over to the bar and planted down on one of the stools. Any other time, he would’ve pulled up a chair with the three of you and joined in.
“See. I can’t live like this. Bradley won’t even sit with me now.”
“Wow, maybe you do need to flash him.” Natasha said.
“So, what are you going to do?” Jake asked. He was clearly enjoying this more than he should.
You wished that Bradley would’ve just locked the damn door that morning so you both would’ve avoided all of the mess.
“I guess I’m going to flash Bradley.”

Smoke Eater - Part 18
Pairing: Firefighter!Dean Winchester x F. Reader
Summary: Dean Winchester is the cocky, but well-respected Lieutenant at Firehouse 25. He leads by example, but he’s also known to break a few hearts. He’s starting to crave something he’s never had, though. Something stable. Something real.
That’s when he meets you, on a truly terrible day, trapped in a rickety old elevator.
🔥 Series Masterlist
Word Count: 4,000 Tags/Warnings: Angst, fluff, brief mentions of the events of Part 13, some ADA Sam, Detective John, and a cliffhanger…
Part 18: “V for Vendetta”
After that first rocky month, Dean started to improve physically, and so did you emotionally, as he tried his best to let you help him when he needed it.
In turn, you did your best to gauge his moods; when he truly did need help, and when it was best for you to just be his girlfriend, not his caretaker.
January rolled onwards, and the resulting winter cold snap brought a kind of calm before a storm. Nick Savage still hadn’t been found, but that didn’t mean your worries were over.
Dean knew that this would hang over all of your heads until both Nick and his father were caught and exposed.
Today Dean walked with Sam on his day off, doing a few laps around the neighborhood as part of Dean’s rehab. They knew a police car was stationed nearby, watching them for their safety. It was a bit unnerving, but necessary.
They were walking back into the building when Sam stopped to check the mail. The box for their unit was along the wall in the corridor with several other locked boxes. Sam unlocked theirs and pulled out a rolled-up newspaper, some coupons, and a stray folded note addressed to Dean. Sam’s brows furrowed.
“What’s that, a love note?” Dean asked dryly. He took it from Sam and unfolded the scrap of paper.
20579. Your badge will join your dad’s on the wall.
Both the Fire Department headquarters and the 84th Precinct had a wall to commemorate firefighters and officers who had given their lives in the line of duty. Each of their badges had their own display plaque hung on the respective walls.
In short, the note was a threat.
Sam’s worried frown deepened as he watched Dean’s good mood evaporate. He crumpled up the note and pocket it, before he met his younger brother’s eyes.
“Keep this between us,” he warned. As in, don’t tell you.
Sam shook his head. “Dad needs to know, at least. And you two need to be careful.”
“That goes for you and Eileen too,” Dean replied. He reached for Sam’s shoulder and squeezed. “Don’t matter that you’re an ADA. Azazel goes after cops and their families. He’s gonna be gunning for an opportunity to get to one of us.”
Sam’s lips pressed together, but he acknowledged that with a nod.
They went back upstairs together, where you were dressed casually and gathering up your purse.
“Heading out somewhere?” Dean asked. Sam shot him a glance, which Dean silently answered with a short nod. He looked back at you when you offered him a smile.
“Yep, we need a few things. Milk, eggs, more Twizzlers, apparently,” you quipped, lightly smacking his stomach. Dean quirked a smile.
“Give me a sec. I’ll go with you,” he said.
You made an uncertain sound. “Didn’t you just get back from a walk? You sure you don’t just want to shower up and relax?”
“I’m good,” said Dean. He knew you didn’t like the idea of him overexerting himself, but he didn’t feel comfortable letting you go out alone. He could tell by the look Sam once again threw his way from the kitchen that he didn’t think it was a good idea either.
Dean slid a hand up your arm. “How about this. I’ll stay in the car. I just want some more fresh air.”
You tilted your head at him, but you conceded. He followed you to the door and held it open for you.
“Can I drive?” Dean hedged.
You chuckled. “Don’t push it, Lieutenant.”
On the way back from the grocery store, you discreetly eyed Dean’s profile. His knee was bouncing as he stared out the window.
Sometimes he checked the rearview mirror of your Camaro. Sometimes he fiddled with the radio or checked his phone.
It was all nervous behavior you took a catalogue of. By the time you pulled back into the parking lot of Dean’s apartment building, he finally seemed to relax a fraction. You parked the car and turned to him.
“Okay, what’s the matter?” you asked.
Dean gave you a curious look, but there was an unmistakable tension in his demeanor.
“What do you mean?”
You tried your question a different way. “What’s got you all on edge?”
He didn’t seem to want to answer at first.
“Dean,” you prodded. “Does it have something to do with why you insisted on coming with me, even though I can see that you’re tired?”
His face tightened, but he reached over for your hand. Your fingers curled around his. Now you were getting worried.
“We’ve got the police watching us here, but anything could happen out there,” Dean said. “Until this blows over, I don’t think you should go out by yourself.”
Until this blows over. You wanted to ask when that would be, but you knew he wouldn’t be able to give you an answer.
“Zachariah called me this morning,” you admitted. “He’s standing in for Nick as CEO. He said I have a job waiting for me when I get off medical leave next week. Everyone’s been working from home since the fire, but we’d be going to a new building the company owns downtown.”
Dean tightened up, just like you knew he would. His eyes closed as his head tilted back against the headrest. He let out a long breath through his nose. You stayed quiet, both waiting for what he might say and preparing for him to get upset.
He surprised you by calmly looking over at you again.
“It’s not a good idea. If Nick’s still alive, it means his dad probably knows you know who he is,” he said. “And not for nothin’. Even with Nick out of there, that place’s probably been built on blood money.”
Both were fair points.
“I know. I’m going to find something else, as soon as you’re better,” you said. Dean shook his head and held your hand tighter.
“Don’t let me be an excuse,” he said. His gaze was firm and direct meeting yours. “I need you to start taking care of yourself too, all right? Please.”
Faced with his earnestness, you couldn’t help but soften. After everything he’d done to save you, to protect you, was it fair of you to keep making him worry?
In the past, you’d felt justified. You couldn’t quit. You needed the money. You could handle it, whatever came next. You would deal with it because you had to.
But maybe this time, you didn’t have to. It wasn’t worth all this.
With that resolve, you let out a breath.
“I’m going to call Zachariah,” you said, “and tell him that I’m working from home, or I quit.”
Dean stared back at you with a measure of surprise.
“I’m not going back,” you said, squeezing his hand. “If he has a problem with that, I’ll use whatever I have left in my savings. Hopefully that’ll be enough until I find a new job.”
After a moment, Dean expelled a breath of relief. He beckoned you over, and carefully as you could over the upholstery, you leaned over and caressed his cheek before you went in for a kiss. He welcomed you, with his hands slipping up your sides and around your back, pressing you into him with a heady warmth.
He paused against your lips after a while. His forehead rested against yours.
“You don’t need to drain your savings. I can help you,” Dean started to say, but you pulled back and held your fingers to his lips.
“You’ve helped me enough. You’re already letting me live with you rent free,” you pointed out. “Let me figure out the rest.”
After a moment, Dean wordlessly agreed. He wanted to argue that you wouldn’t have had to move in with him if not for Azazel putting you in his sights, but at the same time, Dean understood that you’d been providing for yourself for a long time. He respected you for it.
So he just guided you back to him for another slow kiss.
John Winchester owned a condo approximately 20 minutes from his sons’ apartment. It was the home they’d grown up in after the house fire, over thirty years ago.
John had learned a lot since then. In fact, some might say that he’d become a paranoid bastard.
Aside from a professional alarm system, he’d installed hidden cameras inside and out of his home, and at every window. It meant that even when he was asleep, his eyes were never truly closed.
When the intruder took his first steps into John’s bedroom, the man himself was waiting with a gun cocked and loaded. The safety clicking back made a small sound, but in the silence, it might as well have been a gunshot.
The masked man swiftly turned and ducked, throwing a punch. The scuffle that followed was quick and covered by darkness.
The cameras on “Night Mode” picked up every moment.
And that was how John later showed video evidence of Alastair Rolston breaking into his condo, and subsequently getting his ass handed to him.
Both men had their fair share of bruises, but at the end of the day, Alastair was the one cuffed to a chair in the bowels of the 84th Precinct. He sat beside his court-appointed lawyer.
Meanwhile, Cas watched the scene from behind the one-way glass window of the interrogation room. Rufus Turner, their Lieutenant, was beside him, along with ADA Sam Winchester. He watched the man his father questioned very carefully.
“Well, I think you know what this means, Mr. Rolston,” John drawled.
Alastair’s stance in the chair was relaxed, almost unfazed. He gave the detective a wry smile.
“What’s that, John?” he asked.
“I’ve got you dead to rights on attempted murder of a cop,” said John. “It ain’t a good look, my friend.”
“Don’t answer that,” said the lawyer. Alastair glanced at the man, unimpressed, to say the least.
“No fucking shit,” he replied.
“I’d say you’ve got two options,” John pressed forward. He leaned on the table between him and Alastair.
“Did Azazel…excuse me, Daniel Savage, put you up to this? You can answer that question, or I could just skip to the part where you sit in a cell for 20 to life.”
Alastair’s face gave away nothing but calculation and amusement. John nodded, with a grim smile.
“I’ll bet you set the fire at Savage & Co. Trying to get Nick to look like a victim in all this—the consequence of doing business with the likes of Azazel,” he said. “Better yet, I think you’re his favorite hitman. Clean, precise, no tracks left behind, no traces of evidence. Perfect kills. I’ll bet you consider yourself a goddamn artist.”
Alastair lifted his gaze, and John saw the familiar depths of a killer.
“I don’t like setting fires,” said Alastair.
John was nonplussed. “I’m sure you don’t.”
The other man rolled his shoulders.
“It’s all very…messy, you see. Unpredictable.” A smile graced his lips. “But I know someone who does.”
“He’ll give you his employer,” the lawyer said. “The person who ordered the hit.”
“Which hit?” John arched a brow. “I can’t be the only special one. What about Paul Richardson, Jerry Stillwell, Amanda Waller?”
The lawyer shared a look with his client. Alastair rolled his eyes and leaned over to whisper in his ear. After a moment, the lawyer nodded and met John’s gaze.
“He’ll tell you what you want to know, but only for a blanket deal of immunity.”
John could’ve guessed. Alastair smiled once more and leaned back in his seat.
The detective held up a finger and exited the interrogation room. He met Sam’s gaze, and the latter already knew what his father was thinking.
"Give me a minute," Sam said. He went into the room and tried to negotiate with Alastair and his lawyer, but the man wouldn't accept a plea of 20 to 25 years, even to serve all the murders they could charge him with concurrently. Nor would he accept 15 to 20, or even Sam's best deal: 10 to 12.
Sam exited the room and hid his discouragement. He met his father's waiting gaze.
“We can’t give him immunity,” Sam said. “He’s likely the one who committed Azazel’s hits. Not just for the past six months, but for God knows how long, and how many bodies.”
“At this point, it’s the only way we’re getting a chance at Daniel Savage,” John said. “Not just finding him, but pinning him as the mastermind behind the whole operation. Drug trafficking, arson, murders…the whole thing, Sam.”
Sam didn’t like it. No one did, for that matter, but even Rufus heaved a sigh.
“You can’t move forward without a trigger finger willing to testify,” he said.
“Yeah, because hitmen make notoriously credible witnesses,” Sam retorted.
“Do think he set the fires as well?” Cas asked John. “He seemed to imply that he committed the murders, but not the arson.”
John hummed in contemplation.
“We’ll find out. But first, I want a confirmed name from the horse’s mouth,” he said, shifting his attention to Sam. “Can you get me that, son?”
Sam’s lips pursed.
Within an hour, the paperwork was drawn and the plea deal was arranged. Father and son sat side by side on one side of the interrogation room, while Alastair and his lawyer sat on the other. Alastair finished signing the final document as the cuffs on his wrists jangled.
“All right,” said John. “Tell me what I want to know.”
Alastair smiled and spread his hands as wide as he was able.
“I’m an open book, Johnny. Ask away.”
John leaned forward.
“Let’s start with this,” he said. “Who ordered you to kill me?”
Nick Savage was unearthed from a luxury apartment in the south of France. He was extradited back the United States and hauled into a courtroom in Lawrence, Kansas for arraignment.
Sam Winchester was the prosecutor on the case. As luck would have it, one of his favorite judges was also assigned for this docket.
“What do we have here?” asked Judge Devereaux. He was a portly man, short and graying, with square black glasses that framed his perpetually surly face. The man now adjusted his glasses so he could read the slip of paper the clerk had just handed to him after reading off the docket.
The charges included four counts of murder in the first degree: the murders-for-hire, enacted by Alastair Rolston.
Followed by attempted murder in the first degree, ten counts of murder in the second degree (those who had lost their lives in the most recent building fire), conspiracy to commit murder, arson, and if that weren’t enough, a charge each of attempted sexual assault and sexual harassment.
When the last two charges were read out loud in the courtroom, Nick looked visibly angry.
Sam glanced over at the defendant with thinly veiled satisfaction. Some days, it was difficult for him to come to work.
Today was not that day.
“All right, that is a laundry list of potential misdeeds,” Judge Deveraux remarked. He looked up at Nick Savage. “How does the defendant plead?”
At the prodding of his lawyer, Amelia Richardson, Nick spoke up.
“Not guilty,” he said. Though he rolled his eyes, as if this was a waste of his time.
“What’s the deal here, Mr. Winchester?” Judge Devereaux asked.
“The primary charge is a murder-for-hire, your Honor,” Sam replied. “Mr. Savage hired a hitman to murder at least five people, and succeeded with four. He also masterminded several arsons. This includes a fire at his own company building, which claimed the lives of ten people and injured several others. This is all part of a larger connection to organized crime, which the People intend to prove in our case. Due to the nature of the charges, and the defendant clearly being a flight risk, we seek his remand to custody without bail.”
The judge raised his brows. He turned to the defendant’s lawyer.
“What about it, Miss Richardson?”
Amelia shot Sam a glance, but she replied to the judge.
“What we have here is a conflict of interest, your Honor,” she said. “Detective John Winchester has a vendetta against my client. Therefore, Mr. Winchester should recuse himself. It’s a family affair, Judge, and they have no evidence for any of these charges, except for the testimony of a confessed murderer.”
“It’s called prosecutorial discretion,” Sam cut in. “Our evidence goes beyond Mr. Rolston’s testimony and will more than support our case. I’ve also tried my father’s cases before, your Honor. This defendant is no different.”
The judge peered closer at the docket with incredulous eyes.
“Except for the fact that one of the attempted murders was on your father. John Winchester?” Judge Devereaux actually chuckled. “Oh, Mr. Savage. Many have tried and failed on that regard.”
“Judge,” Amelia tried, but Devereaux waved her off. Sam took in that small victory without giving anything away outwardly. The fact that John was on the docket as a “victim” was easily Sam’s biggest challenge in this arraignment, but he just couldn’t hand this off to another prosecutor.
“And what’re these last charges about?” the judge asked.
“Mr. Savage attempted to sexually assault one of his employees at a company Christmas party in the defendant’s home, your Honor,” Sam replied. His gaze once again cut over to Nick, who glared back at him with a sneer.
“That’s a goddamn lie!” Nick shouted.
Amelia grabbed his arm and tried to shut him up, but Nick jerked out of her grasp.
“Put a gag on your client or I will, Miss Richardson,” Devereaux warned with a deepening frown.
“Hey,” Amelia hissed a whisper, grabbing the sleeve of Nick’s suit jacket this time. “Get it together and shut your mouth. Remember where you are.”
He ignored her to try and speak to the judge himself.
“That bitch tased me. Did she tell you that?” Nick levied Sam a look, before he turned back to Devereaux. “Yeah, she assaulted me, Judge. So that charge is fucking bogus.”
“I’ve heard quite enough!” Devereaux snapped. He raised his gavel and slammed it down loud enough for Nick to flinch. “The defendant is remanded to custody, without bail.”
It was more satisfying than John would admit.
While the development wasn’t exactly what he had expected, having Daniel Savage’s son dragged out of his new prison home to sit in another musty holding cell was the highlight of the new year.
This was the poor excuse for a man who’d given him such a headache these past few months. This was the little shit that nearly got his son killed, and who’d been terrorizing you for months, if not years.
But he would be a means to an end.
“I’ll tell ya what, Nick. You don’t look like a man that could organize a handful of murders and arsons, but here we are,” John said.
He scratched the back of his head and sat on the corner of the desk. Sam was seated across from Nick, and Cas was hanging back within the cell, watching the exchange (and watching Nick’s reactions for any tells).
On the other side sat Nick himself, dressed down in his gray prison garb. It was a far cry from the $5,000 suit he wore in the arraignment. Next to him was his lawyer, Amelia Richardson.
“Is there a question in there somewhere?” she asked. She shot Sam a glance.
They had dated in law school for a few months. It had ended abruptly when her husband returned from Afghanistan. It had been a shock to both of them, since the man had been presumed dead.
Clearly, Sam had moved on since then. He was happier with Eileen than he ever was, but he could tell that Amelia had never quite recovered from the “what could’ve been” of their relationship.
Still, Sam had set all that aside the moment he stepped into this room. He watched his father work.
“Why did you set fire to your own building?” John asked.
He’d expected Nick to be more explosive with his denials, but the man was quietly simmering, like he just wanted the questioning to be over. It reminded John of when his sons were teenagers. Maybe he hadn’t been the perfect father, but intuition was telling him something…
“You didn’t do it, did you?” John mused. “At least, not that fire.”
It was interesting, however, that Alastair had pinned the Savage & Co. fire on the son—that Nick had started it himself, along with the other arsons. Alastair had just been the muscle, committing the murders and the brandings on the victims.
John wasn’t so sure he believed that. He leaned in a bit and gave Nick a wry smile.
“Did Daddy do that one for ya?” he asked.
At that, Nick held firm. “My father has nothing to do with this.”
Hmm, a bit of familial loyalty? Maybe trying to prove himself, John detected. How far is he willing to go to protect his dad?
“So you did do it, along with the other arsons,” John said.
“Are you trying to get him to confess without a plea deal?” Amelia snarked.
“I’m trying to figure out how badly this kid wants to stay out of jail for the rest of his life,” John said.
“I’m not a fucking kid,” Nick grumbled.
“If you have something for us on Daniel Savage, then we’re willing to listen,” Sam added. “Do you really want to spend the rest of your life in jail?”
Nick crossed his arms, clearly uncooperative.
Sam narrowed his gaze. “This is your last chance, Nick.”
“You don’t have anything on me except for the word of a murdering felon,” Nick retorted. “I’ll beat this trial in a few months and I’ll be out free…but if you really want to know, I’ll let you in on a little something.”
He leaned in, meeting John’s eyes.
“Dad retaliates,” said Nick. “I think you know that best of all, Detective. This time, I think it’s one son for another. And you’ve got two to pick from.”
“Nick,” Amelia warned, but he ignored her.
He glanced at a carefully stoic Sam before he smirked in John’s face, which had become devoid of all humor and revealed the stoniness underneath.
“If I were a betting guy, I’d put my money on the one that had a fucking building fall on him.”
After leaving the county jail, John drove Sam and Cas back to his sons’ apartment. They couldn’t treat Nick’s warning as an idle threat.
Sam was the prosecutor on the case. He wasn’t willing to step down, so the best they could do for him was give him a police security detail that would have to be with him at all times. However, all three men agreed that you, Dean, and Eileen needed to be put in protective custody during the trial.
“Damn it, Dean,” Sam muttered. His brother wasn’t answering his cell.
“Try him again,” said John.
“Is Eileen still at work?” Cas asked.
“Yeah, but she’s talking to the principal now about a temporary replacement for her classes,” Sam replied. He was worried about her safety, but he was also worried about you and Dean. Neither of you were answering your cell phones.
He later let John and Cas into his apartment, where all looked normal and clean.
“Dean!” Sam called out. He was just about to search the apartment when the man came out of his room, looking freshly showered.
“Hey, what’s up?” said Dean. “The gang’s all here, huh?”
“I’ve been calling you for an hour. Where’ve you been?” Sam asked in annoyance, though it was edged with a hint of more that tipped off Dean.
He sensed the tension in the room between his brother, his father, and his friend. He frowned.
“I had a doctor’s appointment. Why?”
John explained the latest round of questioning with Nick Savage, and his most recent threat. John asked where you were right now, if not in the apartment. Dean’s expression shifted to one of worry as he went to find his cell phone.
“She had a job interview,” he admitted, scrolling through his phone to find your name. “She couldn’t reschedule it, else she would’ve gone with me.”
He’d been uneasy about you going to the interview by yourself, but you hadn’t wanted him to change his appointment, and you had assured him it was only a few minutes away…
Dean held the phone to his ear and waited what felt like an eternity as it rang.
Pick up. Pick up, damn it.
Finally, the line connected.
“Hey, sweetheart,” he greeted…but you didn’t answer.
“You there?” he asked. There was a pit forming in his stomach when he glanced up at John. His father met his gaze with furrowed brows that betrayed concern.
The line was silent for one more painful moment. Dean opened his mouth to call out to you again, but a smooth voice interrupted.
“Dean, Dean, Dean,” a man replied. “Forgetting something?”
AN: 🫣 Sorry lol.
But the next chapter will bring the final showdown...
Next Time:
Dean’s heart began to pound. His mouth parted, but for a moment, the words wouldn’t escape.
“Who is this?” he said. His voice was a hint unsteady.
“I think you know, son,” the man replied.

Crush, 1
A Chris Sturniolo fic
SUMMARY:
Chris finally realises he has a crush on his brothers best friend, and once he acknowledges it, the universe seems to be hellbent on making things awkward.
WARNINGS:
kinda cringe ngl😻, uses of Y/N, loosely based on Crush Culture by Conan Gray, sexual themes + male masturbation but no actual sex!(..yet), pet names, very badly written smut, not proof read, kind of a cliffhanger (bc I didnt know how to end it💀)
TROPES:
Friends to lovers, one bed, best friends brother.
A/N: I haven’t written in a while, writers block and depression kicking my ass rn🥲 Btw, Matt comforting Chris is so shit, im not good at writing stuff like that; sorryyy
It was 2:43AM, Chris, Matt, Nick & Y/N were still up, the TV played quietly in the background as they all sat in the living room.
Nick let out a loud yawn, tapping Y/N’s forearm. “When are you gonna go to bed?” He asks curiously, “Uh, I’ll go do my skincare now so we can sleep soon.” Nick hums in acknowledgment, getting up and following Y/N to his bathroom to help her with skincare.
After a few minutes of Matt and Chris being alone, the younger brother sits up and looks at Matt over his phone. “Matt?” He says gently, a hint of nervousness in his voice. “What’s up, Chris?” Matt mumbles, still mostly focused on playing Clash of Clans on his phone. “I think I like Y/N.” The younger brunet blurts out, not knowing how to start the conversation. Matt’s eyes widen, immediately his eyes go to Chris’s subtly flushed face. Matt stays silent for a moment, unsure of what to say.
“Is.. that a bad thing?” He finally says in a caring tone after a beat of silence, “I..” Chris stutters, staring down at his lap as he thinks. “I don’t want it to be a bad thing.” He replies. “Then why don’t you tell her?” Matt has now moved to sit next to Chris, rubbing his younger brothers arm comfortingly. “I can’t do that. What if it ruins our friendship? What if she doesn’t like me back? What if I don’t actually like her? What if I me-“ Chris starts rambling anxiously, which Matt cuts off by shoving his hand over Chris’s mouth. “Dude. Calm down. It’s fine, you’re fine.” He says bluntly, but clearly with brotherly love. Chris mumbles a “sorry..” through Matt’s hand, “Chris, shes your best friend. If she does, it wont ruin your friendship. Promise.” Before Chris could reply, Y/N walked back downstairs. “Chris, I’m using your shower.” She says casually as she walks through the room, then towards Chris’s bathroom as Nick’s shower can be heard being turned on elsewhere in the house.
Matt stood up after a few minutes of silence, “I’m gonna go to bed.” He said, glancing at Chris. “Me too, night Matt.” Chris stands up too, both the men walking to their respective rooms.
After half an hour, Chris hears his bedroom door open. He glances up and sees Y/N stood at the door in a bra and pyjama shorts, and all the blood immediately starts rushing down south, and to his pale cheeks. He cleared his throat, “Uh.. can I help you with anything?” He mumbled, trying not to stare right at his best friends chest which was on full display. “I forgot my pyjama shirt, can I borrow one of your shirts?” She asked, oblivious to his distraction. “Can you not borrow one of Nick’s?” He says with a raised eyebrow, but still climbing out the bed and getting her a shirt. “I’m pretty sure Nick’s asleep, I don’t want to wake him up.” She replies, walking over to take the shirt out Chris’s hands and pull it over her head. A subtle smile tugged at Chris’s lips, “So, where are you sleeping then?” He asked curiously, glancing down at the shorter girl as she readjusted her hair out the shirt. “I’ll just sleep on the sofa.” The girl replied with a nonchalant shrug. Chris raised an eyebrow and gently grabbed her elbow, pulling her just a bit closer. “You can sleep in my bed, it’s big enough for 2. I don’t want you to sleep on the uncomfy couch.” He said softly, smiling slightly at the girls slightly flustered expression. “..okay.” She mumbled shyly, following Chris to the bed.
“I like seeing you in my shirt.” Chris said without thinking, a blush immediately covering his and Y/N’s face. Y/N stayed silent, unsure of how to reply. Chris stayed silent too, quietly cursing to himself in embarrassment. After a few minutes, Chris can hear Y/N’s breathing softening. He glances over to see her peacefully asleep, and so he decided to try sleep too.
The next morning, Chris wakes up first. He pauses when he feels a weight on top of him, looking down he sees Y/N with her head on his shoulder, one arm around his waist, and one leg thrown over his hips, her knee placed right on top of his erection. Chris’s face turned a bright red, a small groan leaving his lips as he tried to subtly shift Y/N off him, but of course, Y/N wakes up.
“Fuck..” Chris whispers to himself, gently nudging Y/Ns knee off his crotch and making sure to keep his throbbing hard on away from her. “G’morning..” The girl grumbled, clearly still half asleep. “Morning.. I need a shower.” Chris says, standing up and grabbing a shirt before bolting out his room and towards his bathroom.
Chris quickly strips and gets into the shower, he debates for a moment about turning the shower cold, but he decides not too. Instead, his hand trails down and slowly wraps around his shaft, a low moan leaving his plump pink lips as he slowly starts to stroke it.
His mind is full of fantasies, and memories, all of Y/N. He starts to stroke faster, harder, his hips thrusting into his fist. His free hand holds up his weight against the shower wall, biting his bottom lip to muffle the moans. “F- fuck, ma..” He groaned as he finished, the sticky white substance going down the drain with the water quickly.
A soft sigh leaves Y/N’s lips as she stands up from Chris’s bed, she wandered out Chris’s room after brushing her hair. She heard the shower turn off in Chris’s bathroom and decided to do her skincare in his bathroom instead of Nick’s, so she went towards the door and knocked gently. “Yeah?” Chris yelled through the door, assuming it was Matt or Nick. Y/N walked in without thinking, only to be met with Chris naked stepping out the shower. Both paused, a bright red spreading across Chris’s pale cheeks and up his ears. Y/N, after getting over the shock, tried her best to not look at Chris’s on-display crotch. Chris scrambled and grabbed a towel as Y/N turned and quickly left the room, yelling a “sorry!” as she bolted down the hall. Chris quickly tugged his boxers and sweatpants on before bolting after Y/N. “Wait- Y/N!” He yelled after her.
