#and yes;; I'm improving slightly in posing and stuff for Adalyn since I didn't like the first draft I have for her answer

“I can't blame you, honestly. The experience of having two or more rescuers is daunting— especially when if it's with either Naib or Martha.” Adalyn said with a sigh, shaking her head. The few times those two went to rescue while she decoded was... Well, not as fun as one may think. Especially against hunters like Jack or even Joseph. “If there's a team full of rescuers, I believe the hunters will have a free day bringing us down... Or experience hell, if anything.” she added with a chuckle.
“Belittlement? I see... No need to apologize— I've grown used to people acting doubtful of such things— and you're of no exception. You would've been in danger if you weren't so open to acquaintances. Personal experience can tell you that.”
Adalyn can overlook that little flaw. After all, she had experiences with her sister telling her to be more “open” to people. Mhm... If you count nosy people wanting to leech off of you, that is. Then again, who is she to judge?
Upon asking about her occupation, the novelist let's out a small giggle when she mentioned about the book she remembered. With a warm grin, she spoke,

“Granted, I do remember it's sequels and such— it's trilogy is a masterpiece, especially with one of its cases in the second book.”
She sets her scriptbook aside with a small laugh, before adding with a hum,
“You're more than welcome to read my works, you know? I do have a few around that are finished, but if you're okay with reading some drabbles and suggesting ideas, I'm open for it.”
The woman paused and raised one of the books, her eyes glinting with interest.
“One question, however— are you okay with religion? Some of my works involve such things and their past actions such as sacrificing someone... So, I'd like to know if you're squeamish about it. Just as a precaution, I would say.”
"I heard you're a rescuer in this game, which I guess is good. But... just how does that book of yours work exactly?" Louise said, looking rather doubtful yet curious (@askidv-seamstressandfencer)

“My book? Well, I'm more than happy to explain.”
She didn't like how doubtful Louise looked, but she'll let it slide— she's a rescuer, too. Plus, she's more used to concealing how she truly feels on some issues.
“Anyways, let me explain on how my book works in the matches...”

“For survivors, going through my portals would grant them a speed boost for a limited amount of time. You can get to ciphers that needs to be decoded, rescue others in the rocket chairs (and escape if the hunter hasn't destroyed the portals or the portal itself hasn't been destroyed), or even buy more time from being chased by the hunter. For kiters, this also buys them time for the hunter to focus on them while they're busy getting chased.
My portals from my scriptbook, which is this—” she raised her book with her right hand, “—only lasts for 10 seconds. I can't rip out another page immediately, since that would waste any potential ones that I can use for rescuing or for someone to get there. My portals can't be destroyed by going through by the hunters, much like how Fiona's do. However, hunters can destroy it by ripping the sole page apart.”
She paused, before speaking with a smile,
“There's also one thing you should know, miss. For every survivor that... Well, gets sent off or bleeds out, it causes paranoia. Paranoia hinders me, the novelist, to create portals or do anything. So to speak, hunters would have an easier time finding others or even the sole survivor left should they wish to cause that paranoia. If everyone else is sent off expect for two, it'll take me 15 seconds to make a portal. 20 if everyone else is gone but me.
And the worst part... Well, let's say memories does things to a person. Psychologically.”
She tend to have visions of her past, but would she mention it? No.
“For hunters, they will only get slowness should they go through my portals. It'll last for a given amount of time, so they'll have a harder time dealing with my portals if they want to go through with one.
In order for me to make one, I have to mark two parts of the location— one by memory and one by my sight. The one for my memory is where I last saw the survivor that I wish to mark to create a portal— and the other is for where I am. As an example, if I saw you in the graveyard by Red Church, or even at the second floor of the hospital in Sacred Heart, that is where I will mark the location of the portal.
Once the page is ready, I'll just rip it out of my book, set it down on the floor, and the portal at the other end will appear as well. Its ink, however, will fade— like a timer. Once it fully fades away, the portal disappears. I can't reuse the same page I've used for the portal, sadly, so I have to conserve my pages as much as possible.”
She soon stopped and nodded at Louise.
“I hope my explanation clears up any questions you may have, miss. If you do have any, feel free to ask me.”
