There was recently a discussion in the discord server about who is stronger between He Xuan and Shi Wudu, and I believe it's Shi Wudu. You could even say they're equals, but He Xuan is not stronger and he knows it.

Shi Wudu is thee water tyrant with two heavenly tribulations under his wing. He is the only god who was actually able to change fate. His last speech was not a bluff. He created everything he has for himself. He Xuan, in order to achive what he was, copied him. He Xuan's name is 'ship sinking black water' for a reason. He Xuan can be called the white shark if you want but Shi Wudu was the orca of the waters.

But Noot, He Xuan ripped his head off.

I know. That doesn't decide who's stronger tho. This arc has no winners, let me remind you of that. You can't tell who is stronger based on who lived and who died.

He Xuan knows that the only thing in life Shi Wudu actually cares for is Shi Qingxuan. Shi Wudu does everything for qingxuan and he will not consider anything a loss if it is good for Qingxuan. Shi Wudu has one rule: end justifies the means. He will trample everything for Qingxuan, as long as his sibling is safe. and He Xuan knows it. The only way to defeat shi wudu is to take qingxuan away from him, and so he does what he did. he decided to lure qingxuan away from shi wudu. That's was why he did with the two options in the end. he gave the brothers options. he told shi wudu to subject qingxuan to harm (which he would never) And he gave qingxuan the option to kill shi wudu (which he refused to do) That was why and how He Xuan failed because he could not separate the brothers.

shi wudu told him that to his face. he cannot bring his family back and he cannot take the live of luxury that qingxuan has already lived. he has failed. that drove he xuan to madness and then when Shi Wudu moved on to take shi qingxuan with him, the only way he xuan could seprate the brothers was to kill one and keep the other alive!

he could have killed shi qingxuan, but that would leave shi wudu alive and if ge is alive, he xuan will be in danger so he leave qingxuan alive and kills Shi Wudu.

there was in fact no victor in the arc. which is why you do not decide who is stronger based on who lived and who died. You decide based on their actions and their characters.

In what way does alt text serve as an accessibility tool for blind people? Do you use text to speech? I'm having trouble imagining that. I suppose I'm in general not understanding how a blind person might use Tumblr, but I'm particularly interested in the function of alt text.

In short, yes. We use text to speech (among other access technology like braille displays) very frequently to navigate online spaces. Text to speech software specifically designed for blind people are called screen readers, and when use on computers, they enable us to navigate the entire interface using the keyboard instead of the mouse And hear everything on screen, as long as those things are accessible. The same applies for touchscreens on smart phones and tablets, just instead of using keyboard commands, it alters the way touch affect the screen so we hear what we touch before anything actually gets activated. That part is hard to explain via text, but you should be able to find many videos online of blind people demonstrating how they use their phones.

As you may be able to guess, images are not exactly going to be accessible for text to speech software. Blindness screen readers are getting better and better at incorporating OCR (optical character recognition) software to help pick up text in images, and rudimentary AI driven Image descriptions, but they are still nowhere near enough for us to get an accurate understanding of what is in an image the majority of the time without a human made description.

Now I’m not exactly a programmer so the terminology I use might get kind of wonky here, but when you use the alt text feature, the text you write as an image description effectively gets sort of embedded onto the image itself. That way, when a screen reader lands on that image, Instead of having to employ artificial intelligences to make mediocre guesses, it will read out exactly the text you wrote in the alt text section.

Not only that, but the majority of blind people are not completely blind, and usually still have at least some amount of residual vision. So there are many blind people who may not have access to a screen reader, but who may struggle to visually interpret what is in an image without being able to click the alt text button and read a description. Plus, it benefits folks with visual processing disorders as well, where their visual acuity might be fine, but their brain’s ability to interpret what they are seeing is not. Being able to click the alt text icon in the corner of an image and read a text description Can help that person better interpret what they are seeing in the image, too.

Granted, in most cases, typing out an image description in the body of the post instead of in the alt text section often works just as well, so that is also an option. But there are many other posts in my image descriptions tag that go over the pros and cons of that, so I won’t digress into it here.

Utilizing alt text or any kind of image description on all of your social media posts that contain images is single-handedly one of the simplest and most effective things you can do to directly help blind people, even if you don’t know any blind people, and even if you think no blind people would be following you. There are more of us than you might think, and we have just as many varied interests and hobbies and beliefs as everyone else, so where there are people, there will also be blind people. We don’t only hang out in spaces to talk exclusively about blindness, we also hang out in fashion Facebook groups and tech subreddits and political Twitter hashtags and gaming related discord servers and on and on and on. Even if you don’t think a blind person would follow you, You can’t know that for sure, and adding image descriptions is one of the most effective ways to accommodate us even if you don’t know we’re there.

I hope this helps give you a clearer understanding of just how important alt text and image descriptions as a whole are for blind accessibility, and how we make use of those tools when they are available.

Literally mentally unstable drama.

Okay so there's this guy same age as me let's just call him T. Yeah, so T used to be my first and last male best friend. I was really depressed and emo in school with no friends because i never fit in and used to cry a lot and get yelled at and T is my only friend during my not-peak-phase life. So, many time after, he told me he likes me but i don't like him and he doesn't exactly show any weird behavior or signs of it and i still stuck being his friend despite him liking me and many classrooms shipping me with him, i was very uncomfortable by that.

Soon, he told me he has to moved away and i gave and introduced him my and to discord after that we talk a little in discord and all, i introduced him to a server called Leafy.gg with members that are quite offensive (normal discord members)

i have really good reputation in that server being an active member but then T, he leaked my real life name, my face, my school to them. not sure as a joke or something but he just said to them that this is my name and then quickly, Leafy.gg members mocked me with my name jokingly but i was really sad and mad that T leaked my information. He didn't say sorry or whatever. i told him to stop and after that incident, i told Leafy.gg members that i'm quitting discord. of course, i had no friends that time and T just ruined my relationship with everyone.

after like 2 years, Leafy.g server went very dead and not active that makes me think that i was the reason most of them are active plus i saw that a lot of active members' account was deleted. I texted T again and i still remembered everything that happened and with no apology or nothing, he just said he missed me and all but after that, i just ghosted them. he keeps on texting me and i keeps on ghosting.

suddenly, he gave me his phone number which i don't have, i decided to not contacted him instead i gave his phone number to my friends in a new server named Bocchism, a server full of Bocchi the Rock fans, i was one. Basically, we just talked to him for fun and Bageto tried to fake being me,

My friends, Bageto, texted him and stuffs went out. he has phone numbers with my school friends even after he moved away, keep this in mind, he told Bageto and Weif, my other friend who helped contacting him, my information again but it's fine because Bageto and Weif didn't leak that information to the whole server.

anyways, we invited him to Bocchism for fun and i text him on discord again, i told him to say he's sorry and he said nope. NOPE? anyways, he then started attacking me by threatening that he will call the police when it's technically all of his fault. then he told me he already send it to his lawyer and his dad's friend who is a royal police or whatever and i was literally cringing by how fake that is. and soon, he send a picture of him with a glass of water and a fuck finger saying it's vodka LMFAO anyways, i told him he was underage and THAT IS NOT VODKA. he told me "just do whatever you want" and I told him "yeah i wanna eat fuck up" and BOOM, by the way, forgot to add this, first thing that he said to me, technically not me because it was bageto who is faking to be me, was that HE MISSED ME and HE WANTS TO DATE? I announced this on Mythcord as well, but I might as well put it here too. I'm going to be entirely leaving the server soon after 6 years of running it. Some of the text will be familiar to those on the server but it's not a direct copy-paste, either, and I'm definitely going to be a lot more opinionated on here. I pulled my punches on the in-server announcement but this is my personal blog.

When I started Mythcord, I was looking for something. I couldn't tell you what, exactly, just that I felt like there was some Great Big Secret, and maybe nobody had all the pieces, but maybe some people had some of the pieces, and if I brought them together in an environment specifically designed for discussion, we'd assemble enough of the pieces that I would find The Thing I Was Looking For. And hey, everyone else might find their thing too.

Which, you know, decent motivation! Not a bad plan. The problem was that the thing that I ended up discovering was absolutely contrary to what I expected, and indeed contrary to the kind of place it was.

Really I found out two things: one, I'm not otherkin. I'm nonhuman, yes, but I am not the kind of nonhuman who's described by the word otherkin. I don't see my Self as something that can be split into spiritual or psychological, voluntary or involuntary, dysphoric or non-dysphoric, serious or frivolous, meaningful or random, intrinsic or extrinsic, chosen or thrust upon me—none of it. It doesn't even feel like it applies. This is like asking what flavor the moon would be if tomorrow was Thursday. It's not something I even know how to begin to address. None of the cultural parameters that are indicated by the label otherkin make sense to me in the context of my own identity. I can see where they have meaning to others. I can't see where I would begin to apply them to myself. I am literally just whatever I am right now, because I am happiest being this, and if that changes, I'm cool with it. I'll be something else and live my best life being that.

I also picked up a second identity as a reploid and promptly fumbled my first fae identity so hard it's lost in the carpet somewhere. Possibly rolled under the couch. It exists, but fuck if I can find it. A fictional type of android has no business or indeed interest in heading a community for mythical creatures with a completely different understanding of their nonhumanity. I can't keep doing it. I actually just get upset looking at the server anymore because it has no relation to me, and that's a disservice to the community that exists there.

The second thing I discovered was that the general otherkin subcultural community I've encountered is deeply fucked up. I've only really interacted in any meaningful way via Discord (and only a few servers at that) and Tumblr, and I've stayed pretty insular. I mostly post my little essays and thoughts and I don't usually have much to say directly to anybody. And yet, even with this absolute minimum of interaction, I've been on the business end of pointless drama, poorly-attempted character assassination, people flagrantly just making up shit about me to justify treating me like some horrible villain, aggressive gatekeeping, inexplicable grudges, gossip-mongering, finding out that I live rent-free in multiple people's heads as a bogeyman both too stupid to function and somehow too threatening to go unwatched, people trying to pit the Mythcord mod team against each other evidently not realizing we're IRL friends, and that one time some ineffectual douchecanoe said he was going to kill me then completely forgot what his plan to do so was. Some of this was just by vengeful random morons, but some of it was by so-called community leaders. All of it was by people in their late 20s and older. You know, adults, who should know better.

In what universe is any of that behavior okay? And yet, if I complained about it to anybody, I got told that I probably deserved it, that they'd totally seen worse drama so I should just chill, and people absolutely and repeatedly leapt at the chance to report any little fucking thing I said back to the people perpetuating it so they could wave it around as ammunition over me because look, this guy dared to talk shit about me, he's as bad as I said! (The shit amounted to, "This is a crappy way to treat someone and I'm frustrated about it." Oh, no. I am just unforgivable, obviously.)

Like, guys, this is a goddamn problem and it is huge. This is some peaked-in-high-school, adult-mean-girls, pants-on-head-stupid bullshit. It's not normal behavior, but it is deeply normalized behavior, and you can't even call it out because it's everywhere from the top down and that's how you get completely ostracized by very loud people with follower counts in the thousands and eyes and ears everywhere. I flatly refuse to share a word or even a community with it. Even if I could justify using the otherkin label—and I probably could, if I really wanted to!—I wouldn't, because then I have to be under the tent with all that, and...no. I can't stomach it. My blood pressure and stomach issues are already medicated and do not need the extra stress. I am so over it. There is more beef than a goddamn slaughterhouse in the otherkin community and I will not have anything to do with it aside from having some friends who still use the label for themselves.

That's probably rent-lowering shots I'm firing and I know it. Most people, if they said anything at all, would have thrown this whole thing under a read more at minimum but I'm too tired of it to shut up any longer and if that loses a few followers, okay, cool. I don't want to hang around people who aren't clear-eyed enough to see the issues going on. If you stick the word 'otherkin' on a thing and people who behave that way show up and expect everyone to tolerate them, that's not okay and nobody should tolerate it. And yet. That's just how a lot of otherkin carry on. I've been upset about it for years and it just. Keeps. Happening. I am sufficiently pissed at this point that you could call me antikin and I'd agree with you purely on the rotten goddamn social issues going on.

All that being said, I am leaving Mythcord in the next several days once some backend stuff gets wrapped up, but I am still here like black mold in the walls whether anybody likes it or not, and I'm still going to be right on this blog with my little essays and thoughts. I would like to think that this post might change some things, but I don't expect it, because I don't have much reach and I'm just one guy getting mad on the internet. It's whatever. I got it off my chest and I'm moving on from the whole thing. Back to your regularly unscheduled little essays and thoughts and whatever the hell else.

(And probably changing my blog name soon because I really want something that reflects my current identity better than the current one does.)

• Who would have thought that the legendary Haneoka Highschool Theater Prince would finally fall in love, and with a regular student no less! You were just a helping the theater club carry props to the stage for an upcoming performance, not expecting to actually meet any of the actors. But to your surpsie, one of them was actually there helping set up. You had come in to deliver a variety of fake flowers for the decorations and a large bouquet of roses for Kaoru who would be playing the love interest. You wandered up past the swarm of fans crowding her and nervously cleared your throat and stepped closer to get her attention.

"Um... excuse me? You're Kaoru Seta right? I was asked to deliver these flowers to you for the next performance. Where did you want them?" you asked nervously.

• Kaoru's red eyes grew wide in awe. It could have been the demure way you got her attention, or maybe it was how the stage lighting made you look almost angelic, or perhaps it was how the roses in your arms framed your figure perfectly like you were a living renaissance painting. It could have been any number of those things, but one was for certain. In that fleeting moment, Kaoru knew that it was love at first sight. She was completely dumbstruck, mouth agape in shock as another actor came over and helped you with the flowers. She watched in awe as you unloaded your arms, her mouth still agape. It was clearly some kind of destiny that you had met- and on the stage no less! Just as quickly as you walked into her life, you left. Kaoru's heart was pounding. Such an amazing, fleeting moment. It truly was fate! Kaoru vowed to make you hers. Even though she didn't so much as know your name, Kaoru vowed to stop at nothing to make you hers.

• Athough Kaoru has many fans and potential suitors, none of them compare to you. She needed to know everything she could about you. Sadly, seeking you out was a lot harder than she anticipated. In a school for the talented or genius, you were actually rather average. You didn't stand out much compared to the other students. Nobody had any idea who you were when Kaoru tried describing you for leads. Not to mention she also had to compete with her fans flooding her everywhere she went. When she finally does catch a glimpse of you, Kaoru is overcome with emotion. Suddenly she breaks into a run to close the distance between the two of you. Quickly grabbing your hands in hers, she stares into your eyes with a huge grin across her face. She was wheezing from her run and from the adorable confused expression you wore.

"There you are! I've been looking for you since the day we met," she proclaimed before standing up straight and giving you her most charming smile.

"As the great bard Shakespeare once said, 'who ever loved that loved not at first sight'? I beg of you, please be mine!"

•Regardless of what your answer was to her passionate confession, Kaoru is still determined to sweep you off your feet. She goes around to all your classmates, using her charm and influence to learn all she could about your hobbies, grades and preferences. Kaoru's fanclub was albeit a little jealous, but overall supportive of her sudden new fascination with you. Even if you insist on telling everyone that you aren't romantically involved, nobody believes you. How could they? Its clear that you're in a relationship when she pulls you into such a intimate embrace and spouts sickeningly sweet words to disprove your claims.

"It's alright my precious darling, you have no need to be shy! I don't mind sharing our love with the world! That way, all will come to know that your heart is taken."

• Kaoru was at your side as often as she could be. Personally escorting you to each class, tagging along when you leave campus with friends and even walking you home after school. And by that, I mean she follows right behind you until you get to the front door. Kaoru will stand there and wish you goodnight as you struggle with your keys in a rushed attempt to escape her intrusive gaze. Unfortunately, this now means that she knows where you live. Kaoru isn't a violent criminal by any means, but she wont hesitate to break into your home to steal things. Nothing you'd notice, but stuff that would mean the world to her. Over time, she will collect enough to build a shrine dedicated to you.

• Kaoru's princely personality doesn't stop on stage, no no. She will bring you flowers, extravagant gifts and shower you with all sorts of flattering compliments. Its naturally overwhelming to suddenly have so much attention on you, especially from someone as dazzling as Kaoru. So if you ever get agitated from her constant praise or snap at her, she will just smile at the fact you're giving her any kind of attention. She won't take offence of course- something else must be bothering you! Maybe something in school or your personal life is weighing heavy on your mind. No matter! Kaoru is happy to help in any way she can, and if she isn't able to do it herself, she will find someone else to do it (under her supervision of course!) Now, as far as Yanderes go, Kaoru is very passive. She's honestly believes that you love her, but are just shy. She won't react as violently as most yanderes, but she will manipulate those around her to isolate you or chase them away. If anything, when she does threaten those around you, its all the more terrifying because its so unexpected and out of character. Kaoru will warn them nicely that if they ever so much as speak to you again, they will never actually speak again.

• Powerful declarations of love before or after every performance, both as an actor and as the guitarist for Hello Happy World. And you better believe that she will write songs for you as well! Kaoru enjoys singing to you, love songs clearly being her favorite. But your voice is so much better. Anytime she hears you speak, she's hypnotized, latching on to every word you say. And if its directed at her, she's in heaven. One day, she dreams of kissing those very lips that she loves to stare at. But she won't rush it. No no, the fleeting moment of your first kiss must be savored. Besides, Kaoru knows that you will have plenty of 'firsts' together once you accept her love.

• Even if you remind her that you aren't actually dating, she will just smile and laugh. You're so silly! Of course you aren't dating! You were soulmates after all, there was no need for courting when you're meant to be together. None the less, she will still proudly declare that you are lovers to anyone who's willing to listen. She makes a very convincing case no matter what you do or say. She's big on PDA, loving to shower you in love so that everyone can see that you clearly are a couple

• Somehow, despite your best efforts, she manages to get your phone number. Kaoru loves leaving you long winded lovey-dovey messages, both via text message and on voicemail. Kaoru will lavish you with affection. Expect lots of random kisses and embraces, in private or not. She loves how flustered you get when she does. Even if you don't have school, Kaoru will always manages to track you down. You could be out shopping or wandering around town and she will 'randomly' bump into you. She can't wait until they day you go out with your family so she can properly meet her future in-laws.

• She knows all of your likes and preferences, altering her own to be more akin with yours. Kaoru is dedicated to proving her love through grand gestures or doing things that will win your favor. It makes it hard to dislike her when she cooks and brings your favorite meals for lunch, writes songs for you, buys you anything you spend time browsing in a store or compliments you on something you were insecure about. That coupled with the constant pressure of others to recirpocate her love makes it harder and harder to reject her. But that's exactly what Kaoru wants, for you to be so captivated by her that it parallels her own love for you. She honestly believes that you want to be with her, but that you're too embarrassed to express it just yet. She understands that she needs to be patient with you but she just loves you so much that restraining herself is difficult.

• She's not above kidnapping you. Kaoru adores you, yes, but if you continue to deny her advances when you're clearly meant for each other, she will begin to wonder why. She will seek out her dear friend Kokoro, venting to her rich friend over how badly Kaoru wants to be with you and have your love. Kokoro will be moved to tears by the passion in her voice, seeing how much her friend truly loves you and wants to make you happy. By the end of the Day, the Tsurumaki Secret Service agents will have you gagged and bound somewhere hidden away. Don't worry, Kaoru will be sure to take good care of you. She will happily decorate the room she keeps you locked in, continuing to gift you with all sorts of presents. And once her career as an actor or guitarists take off, she will ensure that you want for nothing. Even if you scream and fight back now, Kaoru knows you're only struggling to adjust to your life together. She knows it will all be worth it in the end. Any crime commited in the name of love can't be too bad right?

Yes, of course! This post is going to be a quick rundown of how basic roleplaying works on the server. We also have a few systems in place for tagging triggers, events, etc. but that can all be learned as you go in server.

When it comes to roleplaying on Dysfunction Junction there’s two primary forms of roleplaying: in-app and para.

In-App roleplay is script rp that takes place in the fictional Dysfunction Junction app that all characters have been added to. There are several different types of chat: the main chat which all characters have been added to, faction chats (hero, villain, neutral and civilian) which characters can request to be added to, and direct messages.

Para, on the other hand, is any real world interactions. They’re written out in paragraph format exactly like most other forms of rp. It’s really just that straight forward.

To expand on these concepts, I’ve included some screencaps with more explanation, but overall we’re very welcoming to people new to discord rp so don’t worry too much about it! On top of being more than willing to help you get settled in, we have an rp guide on the server that goes into more detail about certain features of the in-character app and how to get started.

The following is a screenshot of all of the current in-character categories. Dysfunction Junction App has everything related to the core features of the app: the main chat, faction chat, a social media channel, and an ic news channel. Upper & Lower Manhattan, The Boroughs, and Greater New York City are where all of the real world threads go. Chinatown Relief Benefit has all of our threads relating to that specific event. And, the various Direct Message and Text Message channels are for just that, with the difference between Direct and Text messages mostly coming down to helping create a distinction between Peter Parker texting Gwen Stacy and Spider-Man messaging Gwen in the app, for example.

The following is an example of what RP in the #main-chat looks like. The emojis at the beginning of every message signify which character is talking. We also have various little formatting techniques to signify if a character is typing, taking a long time to reply, etc. when it’s relevant to the mood of the conversation. Those are more like “advanced techniques”, though, and things you’ll get a feel for as you participate.

In character, chats in the app look something like this, with the emojis acting as an icon. Basically as a way to give the emojis an in-character use as well as a practical one.

Direct Messages function basically the same way as the main chat, except it’s a private discussion, usually between two characters, but like using discord itself private group chats can be created as well. We have “generic” DMs listed under Direct Messages (Gen.) which can be used by anyone on the fly, and then when characters have been DMing consistently for a while players are free to request a channel unique to those characters.

As stated before, para threads are just that, but to make it extra clear, here’s an example of a para reply! Unlike in-app messages, these don’t require emojis as it should be clear reading it who the characters involved are.

Don’t be afraid to send in an app and learn as you go. Sometimes things are easier to understand seeing them in action.

How good did it feel when you got out of the inital big self doubt? When you were past I'm making too big a deal out of this but maybe I'm not making a big enough deal and that means I'm wrong. Asking people to use these pronoun(s) is inconvient and would frustrated them I shouldn't say anything. Oh god what if asking for people to use these pronoun(s) makes them angry!?? Maybe I should stay quite. Well I don't feel exactly like that _________ (insert other non cis person) so am I just a cis making stuff up?

When you were past all that and you finally felt comfortable with your pronoun(s) and asking people to refer to you with it(them) (yes dysphoria can still exist along with self doubt because they're both bitches who you want gone but hang around anyway) confidently.

I don't really feel the need to bring it up because it's like hey I like the pronouns they/ them but their not the only ones I use and she/her is just easier for everyone. Theirs no need to trouble them with more pronouns when I respond just fine to she/her.

Demigirl is identifying as a girl but also not?

You could be a demigirl who also occasionally identifies male or you could occasionally identify as nothing or it could mean your good with 2 sets of pronouns or maybe you identify as both female and male or female and non binary all the time.

Im personally good with two sets of pronouns and identify primarily as female but also as something else

She/her and they/them are my pronouns

And wouldn't care if they were gone

It feels good. I'm happy. While I'm not sharing everything and maybe it's not a long 20 page blog of how I was feeling and how I came to this conclusion I still think this sums up the past few months pretty well.
