#you know the madness greatness quote in regards to targaryens #but it is like whenever a man is interested in alicent a coin is tossed and he is either insane or insane #yeah .... #on an analysis note; i find it interesting that the scene with criston is more consciously coming towards him showing her vulnerability #versus larys where she simply is vulnerable in front of him without it meaning anything #idk idk i think to alicent criston might seem like the most normal ones because he just spews trad cath ideology #but i think that also puts a wedge between them #or rather it puts her on a pedestal where she is adored and needs to be revered etc #she needs to be the woman that criston sees in her #and it works because she is so used to playing that role and she wants to... well be that role #criston and alicent are all about roles and adhering to them #but that is not larys #and so their relationship is different (via @volvaaslaug)
