Okay so I've been thinking about this pitch a whole lot and the way I imagine it is that it could take place as a canon-divergent event at the end of the Bottle Episode. So, instead of Nia and Brainy breaking up because Brainy has to work for Lex, the evil Brainy traps the real Brainy in a bottle and stabs Nia to death, thus creating an end-of-episode cliff hanger that then leads onto Nia not being quite as dead as the evil Brainy had intended.

Now, I have multiple ideas for one-shots in this canon-divergent universe, but for right now I've written one for the kiss-kiss-stab-stab scene in question.
