sorry this is such a late reply but thanks for sending some in! :D
2. How long have you been drawing?
HOOO BOYYYY ITS BEEN A LONG TIME. Tbh I have always loved drawing and art ever since I was a little kid. It was always something that interested me and let my creativity go wild. I kinda started getting serious about it when I was in Grades 5-7 but it wore off after they got rid of the art option in school and I started getting into acting (im a theatre kid fight me). I started getting super serious about drawing & art again like halfway through Grade 8 aka when I got into anime basically. I started drawing more & more & I also got into digital art as well (which opened up the world of coloring manga panels to me). Now, I am in Grade 11 and drawing has become a huge part of my life believe it or not. I do it all the time whether I’m in class or I got free time, I just draw whatever and whenever I want. Tbh its even an option for what I am going to do later in life and I just love drawing. It’s basically an escape from the bs for me and I can bring people joy & happiness with it as well, and thats something ill always enjoy doing!
6. What’s your least favorite thing to draw?
Thats a hard one tbh, I don’t really enjoy drawing backgrounds tbh like its difficult and just so much work. I also uhm reaaaallly hate drawing hands (im sure everyone can agree with me on that) I am working on trying to get it easier for me to do but its just such a struggle and I hate it sometimes.
10. Are you confident about your art?
Yes and no. It really depends on the piece & what I am doing specifically. I also could be super confident about a piece, post it online and then not be so confident after when I see it doesn't get the attention I want it to :/ but usually im pretty confident about what I create.
13. Do you prefer to keep your art personal, or do you like drawing things for other people?
Ngl I like doing both but I am usually on the drawing for others side. Like I said, I enjoy when my art can make people happy so when I do that it brings me happiness as well! I also just love sharing my art everywhere and anywhere I can cause I find that more fun than just drawing for myself.
22. Are you confident that you’re improving steadily?
I am!! Especially with my coloring techniques! If you compare one of the first ever panels I colored to one I colored just recently, you would see a huge difference in skill! As for drawing, I think I have improved a tiny bit but im more stubborn about my skills in drawing than I am with coloring. I definitely would say that my coloring skills are better than my drawing skills and I honestly hate that but one day I wont feel this way hopefully.
28. For traditional artists: what medium do you like the most? (Pencil, charcoals, etc)
I LOVE ACRYLIC PAINT OH MY LORD. I used to hate it so much before this school year but the painting I produced this year I love it so much I put my heart and soul into it it looks fuckin amazing I am so proud of myself and like its so much fun to mix colors like??? I also reallly enjoy working with pencils!
