Like yeh she's tied to this White Dragon Spirit that's a near Deity, arrived from a desert home (basically Egypt) where her appearance was seen as a curse more then a blessing.

Her home was ravaged and everyone killed by orders of their King (she only knows as much as everyone died)

Perhaps what everyone else knows as Chaos took the form and name of the dark demon long locked away- Zorc

Keep flip flopping between how closely tied would she be to her people's Gods, and using one idea I've frequently thought of where the Thief King basically became a vessel for him she was to be a vessel for Horahkty? - or at least when born was in part created from a part of her light kinda thing.

Of course as only a child her powers have yet to fully awaken or develop- and even now only a fraction of it only truly emerging in times of dire stress.
