so you know that guy from king gizzard that does harmonica and keyboards? the one with the weird name? usually hangs out behind some synths on the left of the stage. well it turns out he (ambrose kenny-smith) is a total fucking natural born frontman in his own band: The Murlocs!

most gizzheads are at least vaguely aware of murl as one of the many gizz side projects, but surprisingly few know what a powerful force of psychedelic blues rock they are in their own right. it took me wayyy too long to get around to checking them out, but when i finally did, all it took was one album and a 20 minute live show clip and i was booking a 7 hour bus ride up to london to see them live. the album was manic candid episode and i'll put a link to the live show video below. ambrose is dressed as the greek god dionysus and feeds grapes to the audience. its awesome.

ALSO.... cookie from gizz is there too!! he plays bass and he is so so so cool. the whole band rocks. give em a listen! ok peace out ✌️
