a timeline of jenny q’s age.

sbc god knows im confused whether shes 12, 14, or 19 at this point. by the way, this absolutely follows no canon timeline whatsoever because i said so, with only 2 exceptions: her dads’ breakups. under read more bc its hella long sobs

jan 1st, 2000: she was born in singapore but her family moved 6 months later to amsterdam, netherlands. (full name: jenny leong.)

october 18th, 2000: her parents died in a tragedy; jenny is sent to an orphanage.

april 15th, 2001: gay marriage & adoption by lgbt couples was fully legalized and in effect in the netherlands in april 1st, 2001; apollo and midnighter married in april 4th, and adopted jenny q on april 15th. (age: 1 year old.)

april 16th, 2001-feb 24th, 2004: apollo & midnighter settled down in the country and whenever there was a mission to get to, they’d leave jenny w babysitters and tried to finish the missions as soon as is possible so they wont be away for long periods of time. so jenny grew up in the netherlands and learned dutch, chinese, and english. (her dads wanted her to be conned to her chinese heritage; age: 4 years old.) during this time, jenny knows all about the interdimensional space ship and have even seen it.

feb 29th, 2004: they move from the netherlands to america, where they finally settle down in san francisco, california. the authority doesnt take over the world but instead have kicked jack hawksmoor out of the team.

october 1st, 2004: henry bendix comes back & brainwashes midnighter into leaving the family and the authority entirely; thus begins the darkest period of jenny’s life due to her parents’ separation and the authority disbanding. (age: 4 years old.)

august 5th, 2007: jenny’s first dimensional trip just so happened to be the one where she goes to a dimension that she made herself, without knowing. physically ages herself up to 14 years old to help beat henry bendix. meets and befriends habib bin hassan, the new doctor. after everything is over and done with, jenny goes back to her correct age. good news: her parents are back together again. (7-8 years old.)

march 7th, 2014: her dads finally let her help them out with missions and be in teams; thats how she met mia dearden. (age: 14 years old; mia was 12 at the time.)

may 10th, 2015: she & mia formed a team--name’s redacted for now bc i cant come up with anything--and the members are stephanie brown / spoiler, cassandra wayne / batgirl (later on, black bat), courtney whitmore / stargirl, kara zor el / supergirl, miss martian, and amy allen / bombshell. while yes, the team is huge, its a rotating roster so that some missions would require stargirl, spoiler, speedy, and batgirl, while other missions need jenny q, supergirl, bombshell, and miss martian, and so on & forth. jenny comes out as nonbinary--genderfluid; she/her & ne/nem--to her dads. (age: 15 years old.)

june 4th, 2015: her dads break up, this time its mutual and no brainwashing was involved; nonetheless, it traumatized her to see her parents separate for a second time. jenny stayed with apollo but would drop by to visit midnighter every now and then, and thats how she met the rest of the batfamily. (and through both supergirl and apollo, she met the rest of the superfam.)

september 23th, 2016: apollo & midnighter reunite. (age: 16 years old.)

december, 25th, 2017: emiko queen / red arrow, wallace west ii / kid flash, crush, duke thomas / signal, and mar’i grayson / nightstar join the team!! now its an even bigger roster and its a hassle to lead but jenny’s manages to do it and theres even sub units

jan 3rd, 2018-current: jenny q happily leads a team of superheroes. (age: 18-20 years old.)
