oh absolutely valid, Im glad we can write here over replies! but I can also give you my discord if you wanna! :] HECK you totally need to see Mad Max, the old movies are aweome and the newer ones are even better imo!! cinematic master pieces lmao at least imo, honestly Im just there for the action and just the sheer amount of epic car stunts and wild character designs and aaaaah. if you enjoy wrecked, you'll love these movies! I promise you. tehehehe. yuuuh this season is like handcrafted for me I stg! X) yooo finally someone who agrees! like I get it, Hawkeye is a little lame in the movies but his solo series was honestly cool and his comics are even better! I stg just super straight-up funny ass shit with a lot of meme potential and whacky censory lmao. they just always make me laugh sm. iron man I just love for his personality, he actually gets great treatment in the mcu because rdj gives him SO MUCH charisma. the old iron man was a bit tamer but still awesome ngl but mcu version brought a lot of fun and character to the table. I liked it. yooooo you love gambit too??!! hell freaking yeah! let's goooo. I enjoy his entire aesthetic and the way his mutation works and still he chooses to put all into playing cards, he's such a silly lil' guy and a lovely fella. Im glad you were able to get into x-men! because now I can get to nerd to someone about it. and oohh yuuuh Im very familiar with the pain that comes to liking some certain characters -skull emoji- but glad to hear you also like nightcrawler, he's just honestly just sooo cute. you'll love him sm in evolution. he's an absolute sweetheart there. I don't know too too much abt dc as I mentioned but I rly enjoy green lantern, especially that one mischievous red lantern cat, dex-starr his backstory is so sad and I want to hold him but he evil. >:[ probably no pats allowed. ratcatcher II was so fantastic in the second suicide squad movie omg! this movie in general made me laugh so much when I saw it in the theaters. what a great time. Im so happy to hear you hold such joy for dc honestly, you can always ramble to me abt it and I'll happily listen! as I said I dunno all too much but I always love to get to know more and expand my knowledge and then also just to listen to someone having fun! even better. btw epic taste in music!! I love SPG so so much as well! they have incredible cool songs and their make-up is just spoooot on.
dkxjsndkxjs omg I definitely see why you like Megalo Don 😭👏💖 iconic fr
OOO, you like Marvel, now I'm really gonna be obnoxious >:3c
who's your favorite Avenger, who's your favorite X-Men, and do you have other favorite Marvel characters 👀
do you generally like the comics better or do you have any MCU favorites? characters or movies / shows, either way xD
have you watched X-Men 97 👀
AND do you like DC as well, or just Marvel?
also good music taste 👌👌 who's your favorite artist / band, and do you have a favorite album by them or someone else?
OOO more questions, awesome!! listen... Mad Max fuels me lmao no pun intended but when I saw the trailer for wrecked I was immediately getting MM feels and then I saw Don in game and it was all over for me! Im so happy you're also a marvel fan?!! wow you're honestly so cool rat. -reaches hand to shake- my favourite avenger is hawkeye -gets shot- I unironically like him and I have no shame. but Im also very much an iron man enjoyer. for x-men I gotta go with my boys magneto, cyclops, gambit aaaaand also a huge fan of cable! others favs are definitely ultron [my all time fav], andrew forson [super obscure character but looove him], star-lord, agent venom, crossbones, winter soldier, mysterio! I do like some of the mcu movies but the comic books are just what I have always preferred. though mcu movies I highly enjoy are guardians of the galaxy, winter soldier and thor ragnarok. I haven't watched 97 yet but I definitely need to! I grew up with the 90s animated series so 97 is A MUST! btw I can recommend xmen evolution to you if you haven't seen it, it's very fun to watch lol. I do like dc too! but I don't own nearly as many comics as I have for marvel. now I need to know your favs for marvel and also dc! my favourite musicians / bands to listen to are definitely mr kitty, hollywood undead, mind in a box, thyx, ac/dc, metallica, eisbrecher, corpse husband, perturbator, the weeknd uhh yes. hbu?

Do you have a list of like top 5 tv shows? (Cartoons and anime included)
!!! Yes I do, actually!
I’ve actually thought about doing a YouTube video about this in the past, and while I do want to do list-like videos (and I already have at least one in mind) in the future, I put off doing this one because it actually…depends greatly on where certain shows I currently like are headed because some currently-airing shows would be on this list if they hit their full potential, but who knows if they’ll hit their full potential. Also I always split anime and cartoons into two categories because I always had a hard time picking otherwise xD But I do have some semblance of a list, and I adore talking about this kind of stuff, sooo:
5. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
This spot is kind of a three-way tie between Voltron, Bojack Horseman, and FMAB, all for extremely different reasons. So consider Voltron and Bojack my honorable mentions. But while I believe Bojack’s best is honestly some of the (if not the) best out there, and if Voltron promises through on what they’ve promised it will easily skyrocket up this list, Bojack’s worst is everything I hate about Hollywood and Voltron just has too many holes at the moment.  FMAB has the best of both worlds because it has great animation like Voltron, doesn’t have any of Bojack’s bad kind of moments, and doesn’t have many holes in it.  (Another honorable mention goes to BNHA, but like Voltron, I just don’t think it has had enough time to develop all the way. Unlike Voltron, it doesn’t really have any holes, but I do have a problem with how strictly it adheres to cheesy super heroes of the past.)
BUT onto FMAB itself. God cmon, its FMAB, do I really need to elaborate why its so great? The characters are compelling, their motivations are powerful and interesting. I could write an essay examining Ed’s character alone, because he has so many interesting motivations and morals that seemingly conflict with his angry disposition, and I don’t even like Ed that much. The story is exciting - there’s basically no filler, and it almost moves too fast at points. I do have problems with the show - as I said, it goes too fast. The only two deaths in the season happen in the first 12-15 episodes of the series, and although I think that’s because the original FMA animated those scenes already, it still fucks with the pacing of this show. Additionally, despite Lust, Gluttony, and Envy all being revealed before, the show introduces a completely new villain - Greed - to introduce the homunculi. And then they kill Lust - the presumed leader of the first three introduced homunculi?? Idk man, the show barrels in a completely different direction way too quickly. But other than that, its a great show. The only reason it isn’t higher is because I’m a biased shit towards other good shows.
4. Teen Titans
Speaking of being a biased shit, idk if it shows or not, but I have a HUGE soft spot for corny kids shows that try to give kids bad laughs and dark/relatable storylines, or rather, have a heart while doing so. Its not so much that I like a balance of comedy and darkness in my shows - although that’s a good thing, I eat pure angst up and I’m all-for pure comedy shows that have the aforementioned heart (ie we bare bears, another good show not on this list) - its just specifically corny pun-ridden teen/tweeny-feeling shows/games that actually have a decent story underneath that get me. (Also my sense of humor aligns much more with shitty teen lingo and puns than modern cartoon humor that’s considered “good”. Like I find Teen Titans 10x funnier than I’ve ever found Steven Universe. I’m a 90s kid at heart even tho I wasn’t alive in the 90s)
But the biggest impact of this show for me was the heart and the plot. The silly moments made me laugh, sometimes iromically and sometimes unironically and sometimes I wasn’t sure how, but it was the story that really gripped me. The first season’s overarching plot for Robin is honestly one of the most compelling things I’ve seen in kids cartoons…period. Its dark, its unique, its a subversion of such a simble and broad trope. Sure it had a nice cheesy ending but Robin actually saves the day through INTELLIGENCE, something he always had. No other Teen Titans ending did that, but I digress.
And god, do not even get me started on Terra’s arc. Just because Robin’s was the most well-structured arc doesn’t mean his was the most emotional. I was fucking distraught after Terra’s season. Those memes weren’t a joke, I legitimately cried right in front of my mom. IT WAS SO OBVIOUS, BUT IN MY BLIND LOVE, I MISSED ALL THE SIGNS… and god, even when she comes back, even when she’s given a happy ending, she manages to make me cry AGAIN. I never, ever thought I could cry over a character like Beast Boy, but she made me do it. I didn’t even cry when Sokka’s girlfriend died, but this really, really got to me. Once for personal attachment, and the second time because…the finale is so good. Literally its Bojack levels of deep, emotional, and realistic, and this was the ending of a fucking kids show. What the fuck. To this day I still get emotional whenever something reminds me of her arc. Which brings me to my next series…
3. Cybersix
Hi so did I mention Cybersix is really good? Because Cybersix is really good.  I’m not even done with it but yeah, I love this show.  It’s got an amazing art style, great animation, an intriguing story…I have a feeling I’m gonna be really disappointed when it ends because I’ll want to know what happens next so badly.  I like the characters, I like the aesthetic, I like the old-timey music that dates this cartoon so wonderfully, I even like the romance between Lucas and Cybersix/Adrian!  How’d you make me do that.  Oh yeah, because it’s not hard to get me to care about a mutually rewarding relationship that’s gradually built up through a friendship, then an aesthetic attraction, then presumably a relationship but idk yet, where both parties care about one another and their boundaries and have gotten along well since the start.  I forgot.  (I could nitpick that Lucas doesnt have the same buildup for the relationship as Cybersix [its complicated, basically he’s friends with Cybersix’s alternate persona Adrian but he’s in a relationship with Cybersix, and he doesnt know theyre the same person] but I’m not gonna.)  It’s just…a good show man.  @ hollywood, reboot THIS you cowards.  Stop rebooting shit nobody wanted a new version of and reboot shows that were ended to quickly.  Actually dont reboot Cybersix because the only animation studios that would be able to do it any justice are Studio Mir and anime studios, and whoever owns the current copyright to Cybersix would probably be okay using flash for it
2. Digimon Adventure (with a honorable mention to Digimon Tamers)
You can rip my love for the entire Digimon franchise from my cold, dead hands.  I’m sincerely surprised any show passed up my love for this show.  If/when the currently airing series in Japan gets brought over here, I’ll watch it, even though Digimon has kind of abandoned what made it so great in the first place.  But hell, even Fusion was enjoyable - the second arc, from what I remember, was pretty dark and interesting (im still mad they got rid of the two best characters tho) - and the only reason I disliked Data Squad so much is because of Marcus (that and it doesnt have anything else that’s absolutely stunning, in fact from a technical standpoint Marcus is the best thing about the show).
But there’s a reason I put Digimon Adventure here and not the entirety of the Digimon franchise.  Digimon Adventure is what started it all.  No Digimon season has as much heart in it as the original.  Sure the animation improves each season, sure Tamers is probably better story-wise on a technical level, but I dont think any season matches the raw charm of the original.  It was so charming, in fact, that what was supposed to be a 13-episode miniseries evolved into a massive franchise that’s still beloved to this day.  Hell, there’s still content being released for the 8 Digidestined of this season!  It’s right alongside Pokemon, Invader Zim, Hey Arnold, and all these other beloved 90s/early 2000s cartoons that are being revived in recent years, and I think that says a lot.
I wasn’t even alive when Digimon Adventure was airing, but I loved the Digimon games I had played so much that I went out of my way to watch it.  And I…loved it.  Sad as it may be, it was the greatest TV show I had seen at the time.  Growing up in the late 2000s watching only Nickelodeon and CN was not a good period to grow up in, and I never saw Avatar as a kid.  By the time the 2010s had rolled around, I had mostly given up on cartoons, and besides, they were all fugly.  I still tried to watch some, but just…the humor didn’t grip me, they seemed dumb, and they weren’t pleasant to look at.  (Okay the main shows I’m vaguing about are Adventure Time and Regular Show, as well as whatever Nickelodeon was doing but I begrudgingly put up with Nickelodeon for the most part because I preferred Nick and I never knew what else to watch)  Then Digimon came around, and hol-y-shit.  The characters were like nothing I had ever seen before, the storylines engaging and interesting.  Sure it was cheesy, but there was 95% less fart jokes than the average cartoon, a good story, and actually relatable characters that actually go through hardships and actually change for the better!
Digimon Adventure has been and always will be proof to me that no matter what you are, no matter what your show is, you can make a good show out of it.  If you get people who care, who can make relatable characters, who can come up with an interesting story, you can make a good show.  Digimon Adventure is basically a big long toy commercial, and yet its better than lots of shows that dont even have merchandise - and its also better than a lot of shows that have merchandise now, but weren’t created to sell toys in the first place.  I just.  Love it a lot.
Also, the reason I specifically chose Digimon Adventure, outside of having a personal attachment to it since it was always my favorite, is because Tamers hecking scared me as a kid and I’ve never gotten over how creepy the last arc is.  Like it’s good, but it still scared me.
Honorable mentions: Bojack Horseman, Voltron: Legendary Defender, We Bare Bears, Gravity Falls (thats a big one, it would definitely be on this list if I had 10 spots, and will gladly take the 6th spot if Voltron doesnt follow through or Bojack goes south), Over the Garden Wall,  the aforementioned Digimon Tamers ,and Infinity Train might be #2 or at least #3 if it wasnt just a single episode l m a o
1. A tie between Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra
HI SO YEAH if you didnt expect this then you dont know me //BRICKED
Before I explain both, I want to be very clear that I’m not counting them as a single entity.  No, I just cant pick between them.  They’re two extremely different shows, and I actually agree with people who say ATLA is overall a more-rounded show.  Problem is, I watched both during a period of my life where politics and darkness make an extremely interesting show for me (aka the current period of my life) and thus its a very biased and “nostalgic” pick, just like Digimon Adventure.  Had I watched these shows when they were airing, I dont know if LOK would even be on this list.  Heck Digimon adventure probably wouldnt be on this list since ATLA would’ve held the crown for my favorite show for all those years.
They both have amazing animation and solid writing, but that’s about all they have in common in my eyes - even though they share the same world.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is a kids show.  Through and through, its a kids show.  That’s not an insult in the slightest though; no, the fact that they can make something so sophisticated and enjoyable that still clearly appeals to children is really a testament to their skills.  Many kids shows that try to take on heavier/darker stories feel like completely different shows when they try to do that - shows that arent intended for kids.  Voltron and SU are the most notable examples of that, but even LOK has a little bit of that (but in LOK’s case, its the entire show, so I kinda give them a pass lol)  Other shows do it okay (Gravity Falls) but really the only show I’ve ever seen match Avatar’s perfect balance of comedy and seriousness is Bojack, which isn’t a kids show so it has an advantage over Avatar.
Avatar’s world is fanciful and larger than life.  I’m so sad that I watched Avatar and LOK after my fanfiction days; I would’ve loved to spend nights thinking about a potential Avatar story, complete with my own Avatar and original cast.  I could put it before Avatar, after LOK, who knows? but it would’ve been so much fun.  Hell I HAVE thought about Avatar stories, but I obviously dont have much thought up on any of my potential ideas.
The pacing of Avatar is golden.  How a show wish such good pacing got through Nickelodeon, I dont know, but whatever deal allowed Avatar to go on for three seasons and then end was a once-in-a-life-time deal (as evident by what happened to Korra).  Somehow this show came out almost completely perfect, with few or no flaws.
This is the pinnacle of children’s entertainment, in my opinion.  This is proof that there’s no excuse for the garbage that makes up 90% of children’s entertainment.  The standard doesn’t have to be this, since this is the best, but this show is proof that we need to raise the standard.  I wish executives actually gave a shit about quality; if they did, maybe we could get mostly good shows instead of mostly bad shows.
If most shows were half as good as Avatar, the average show would be gorgeously-animated, smartly-written, and really good, even if it had a flaw here and there.  If most shows were half as good as Avatar, Steven Universe would be the average instead of a godsend.
If I someday, somehow make a show that’s 2/3rds as good as Avatar, I’ll officially be a good writer.  I’d love to make tons of shows just as good as Avatar, but hey, I cant get TOO cocky now lol
Now for The Legend of Korra.  Korra has slightly better animation (god i love studio mir) and different but still intriguing worldbuilding.  I know a lot of people found the political bs to be annoying, but I actually found it quite intriguing.  Avatar did a little bit of exploring moral gray areas and playing with politics, but Korra just goes all-out.  I wish the first season’s morality could’ve been a little grayer, but even then, the politics were still interesting.  And god, that one scene in the first season finale, the murder-suicide…that’s still a really powerful scene.  The entire finale would’ve been super powerful were it not for everything resetting by the end of it, but hey, they basically did the same thing in season 3!
Holy shit though, season 3.  An on-screen strangling.  Someone exploding themselves to death.  And then the finale’s fight.  The finale’s fight. The finale of season 3 is one of the most intense things I’ve seen…ever.  The atmosphere in that fight is just…so good - combined with the animation and choreography, its just amazing.  You can almost feel every hit, you actually feel concern for Korra, you’re legitimately concerned for her life.  And you know what?  You should’ve been!  Because she almost dies, and she has to suffer the consequences of that.  The fourth season has a time gap in-between, but even then, she spends episodes trying to fully recover.
In my opinion, the only thing making Korra a kids show is Milo.  I’m certain they put him in there because otherwise, it wouldn’t have been allowed to be called a kids show.  It’s dark, its intelligent, its beautiful, and it’s going to go right over most kid’s heads.  As a kids show it does kind of fail; it just doesn’t really appeal enough to them.  Once you’re old enough to understand, say, Naruto or Dragon Ball you should be okay, but ATLA appeals to all ages while Korra really needs a certain maturity in its audience to be understood and to not scare its audience.
They’re just both. so good
(thanks for the ask!!!)

Tagged by @ishidoshuuji! Thank you for tagging me, because I so rarely get an excuse to talk about Inazuma, even though I love it a lot. Original meme/quiz/whatever they call these now by @revivedandabandonedkids
Also, please forgive me if I slip into the dub names, as I've only actually played the English games and seen the English dub of the anime, not the Japanese original. I'm lame, I know.
- Heya what’s your name :
I'm Sam, with usernames that are variations of three words because apparently that's my thing.
- Favorite character :
Natsumi is my favourite from IE and Kirino is my favourite from GO.
- Favorite arc :
The first games of each IE and GO have a special place in my heart, though as more time goes on the more I appreciate IE2 a lot as well.
- OTP :
Endou/Natsumi, Fubuki/Someoka and Kirino/Shindou are my main three ships. There are others that I like as well, but those are the ones I spend the most time thinking about. Oh yeah, and I secretly ship Kageyama/Hibiki a lot too, but don't tell people. 8D
- BroTP :
Everyone who Endou has ever made friends with x Endou is the best BroTP. Also, any combination of the managers is where I'm at.
- Any ships that everyone ships but you surprisingly don’t (please remember the little // in the ship names so it won’t show up in the tags) :
Gouenji//Fubuki (omg Heather, I thought I was the only person who didn't care for that ship!), Endou//Aki and for some reason I can't seem to get into Endou//Kazemaru as a romantic ship either.
- Favorite hissatsu :
Utter Gutsiness Catch, because I am a five year old apparently. But for real, any special move that Fubuki does will probably be my favourite because they're so pretty.
- What about combination hissatsu :
Wyvern Blizzard, because it's my OTP's special move together! But also Dead Future is weirdly pretty.
- Favorite Keishin:
I have a soft spot for Sousha Maestro, but I don't think I actually have a favourite yet.
- Favorite Mixi-max (I bet you were expecting this) :
A tie between Kirino & Joan and Kinako & Master Dragon
- Favorite Soul (you’re right I don’t have any excuses for this ) :
Since Galaxy was never realised in the UK and I haven't gotten that far in the anime yet I haven't seen any of the souls, so I can't answer this one. ;_;
- Favorite forward (LOL THERE’S MORE) :
There's so many good ones! But I guess if I had to pick just one it'd probably be Tsurugi. Though of course I love Gouenji and Shindou as well.
- Favorite mid-fielder (I know this is getting old okay) :
Kidou and Tenma.
- Favorite defender (Almost done…):
Kirino, Fubuki, Touko and Kabeyama.
- Favorite goalkeeper (Not my fault there are so many positions) :
Well, Endou is a given of course, but I grew to like Tachimukai a lot when I watched the anime as well.
- Favorite manager/girl player (actually, all girls in general) :
Natsumi is my all time favourite, but I basically love all of the girls. If I had to pick out just a few of them then I'd also say Rika, Touko, Akane and, oh yeah, Kazeaki Yone is an unsung hero.
- Favorite team :
All of the main teams are my precious babies, especially when Someoka is there.
- Favorite team uniform :
The one where they're basically just dressed as school girls. You can be damn sure that whenever I unlock that uniform in any of the games I switch them into it as soon as possible.
- Which movie is the best :
I haven't seen any of the movies yet. But I do mean to! Right now I'm rewatching Digimon Adventure 01 & 02 (maybe Tamers as well), but I hope to eventually get back to where I left off with watching Inazuma.
- Prettiest character :
They are all too pretty, it wouldn't be fair for me to- ...okay, Kageyama, because no one can compete with him. 8D
- Most handsome :
Someoka~!
- Best hairstyle:
Natsumi and Kirino. I'm sorry, but I'm biased towards my faves.
- Do you think it takes more hairgel to style Tenma’s, Alpha’s, or Tobitaka’s hair :
Tobitaka, because he's obviously using so many products all the time, given how much he cares about his hair. Also, I believe that Tenma just wakes up in the morning with his hair looking like that and I don't know how he does it.
- Whose hair takes the most time to manage :
I've never put any thought into it, but given how much we see Tobitaka actually managing his hair I'll go for him again.
- Who would you most want to see with their hair down (sorry for all the hair-relatedness) :
Anyone, because I like seeing characters with their hair down.
- That OP/ED that keeps replaying over and over again in your mind :
I've only seen the dub. You understand my pain.
- That character song that is way too catchy for its own good :
Oh cool, I should listen to some of these one day.
- Raimon or Teikoku :
Raimon, because it's Endou's base of operations where he adopts preferred members of other teams into his friendship harem.
- Ultimate Shining or Ancient Dark :
Ancient Dark as a team, but I prefer Shine as a game because it has EnNatsu and also I'm slightly more interested in Hiroto than Kazemaru.
- IE or IE GO:
Honestly, I like both a lot.
- Taiyou or Taiyou (hint: The answer is Taiyou):
Taiyou is amazing! I love his Irish accent in the English games and he's completely the reason why I played Wildfire first out of those two versions.
- Fubuki post-personality-disorder or merged:
Post, because he's happier and at peace with himself. Though I do admit that I found the whole situation leading up to it interesting.
- Hang out with Rika or Touko :
I assume that if you hang out with one then you'll probably end up hanging out with the other anyway, but if I had to pick just one then I'd probably go with Touko. I love Rika, but she seems like a lot of work to hang out with.
- Yank Tsurugi’s ponytail or Fei’s :
Tsurugi’s because he deserves to suffer more.
- Kageyama Tobio Reiji or Kuroiwa Ryuusei :
MY SON IS PERFECT IN ALL HIS FORMS.
- Quick! Kiss Cliff Marry. Shindou, Kariya, Kinako :
I would rather just protect all three of them forever. They are my precious children.
- Which is more amazing, the fact that the ball doesn’t pop or the goal doesn’t get torn through :
The goal not getting torn through! In fact, I always feel a little disappointed that when I do a super powerful move that it doesn't show the goal just getting destroyed.
- Why don’t they ever get yellow/red cards????? :
Either because everyone is actually afraid of them or because no one really understands how the game works in this universe anyway.
- Eat a soda popsicle with Suzuno or plant a tulip with Nagumo :
Either? I'm not that fussed out these two if I'm honest.
- Be a forward with a defense technique or a defender with a shooting technique :
Defender with a long shot technique - stealing this answer, because yes.
- Who do you think Endou should really end up with :
I was totally shipping Endou with Natsumi ever since I finished the first game, because I thought they balanced each other out nicely. So when I found out he does get married to Natsumi in one universe I was pleasantly surprised, usually my OTPs never gets to be canon! But I do also support his marriage to Fuyuka in the other universe too. Other characters I'd be happy for Endou to end up with include Kidou, Gouenji and Touko.
- Yes or No, Afuro Terumi :
Sure?
- Sacca yarouze? :
I'm filthy English dub scum so I dunno what that means.
- Anything you wanna praise the series for :
The English dub of the games bringing in so many different UK regional accents that I rarely see in media is what makes me smile to my soul. But I'm also going to steal the answer that it made me care a lot for a series about a sport I have no interest in and also showed me that I can call many, many fictional characters my children in the same series.
- Anything you wanna complain about the series (don’t worry we all know it’s not real hate here) :
Eh, it has similar problems to a lot of kids' shonen series, but I love it anyway.
- Got any IE merch (yes I’m offering you bragging rights) :
I have a few of the small figure sets that included characters I like, but I did want to get more of them. Maybe I'll get more some day.
- What do you think about Ares no Tenbin :
Cautiously optimistic? On one hand I am a little sad that all the developments I liked are being erased, though I guess they'll still exist in the other universes. But on the other hand I am curious enough to pick up the game anyway, if it actually gets a UK release... I would have also rather that they went with an entirely new cast, but I am hopeful that maybe we might get some more SomeFubu interaction this way. Please let me have that much.
- 3 things you love about the IE fandom :
Sadly, I've not experienced much of the fandom, but from what I have seen I love how creative the fans are, how good their sense of humour is about nothing in this series making sense and how they've held on after so many years - as a Layton fan I understand how difficult that can be!
- 1 thing you would like to say to the IE community (fandom, producers, etc.) :
Please don't bash Natsumi, she is my precious daughter and I love her. ;_;
- What do you think about the creator of this whole post (I know. I’m lame. I’m sorry.) :
You made a super fun ask meme that got me thinking about this series so much that I want to get back to watching the anime again as soon as I can!

I already did one for Issa, now I’m having my big brother Harry on the spotlight, even if he ain’t comfortable with it, hehehe!
Tumblr media
1. What is your name?
Harry
2. What is your real name?
Harry James Potter
3. Do you know why you’re called that?
My birth dad must’ve taken my birth Gramps’ naming advice when I was born: don’t name your kid after your mother’s maiden name! Also, they named me after my great-gramps and my birth Dad threw in his first name for fun.
4. Are you single or taken?
Taken, dating Isabelle Miravelez who’s also my little sister Mari’s friend.
5. Have any abilities or powers?
I’m a half-blood wizard, so I have quite a wide range of magical abilities on hand, such as wand magic, non-verbal magic, apparation, wand duelling, broom flying, potions (only improved under Horace Slughorn, my birth mum’s old professor), transfiguration, charms, magical creature tamer skills, and, weirdly enough, being the Master of Death. I used to speak Parseltongue as a former Horocrux, but not anymore.
6. Stop being a Mary Sue.
WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!?! (pulls out his wand out of anger at the interviewer)
7. What’s your eye color?
It’s blue, I swear! (Remember this Harry’s appearance is based on the film version, not the book appearance. - Mari)
8. How about your hair color?
Dark brown that some might mistaken it for black. (Again, his looks is based on the films. - Mari)
9. Have you got any family members?
Not counting dead ones and my birth aunt’s family? I got my adopted folks, a Time Lord grandfather figure, a supervillain uncle, an agent aunt, 3 girl cousins, and, of course, my 2 adopted sisters!
10. Oh? What about pets?
They’re actually Mari’s pets, but Torchic, Piplup, Rowlet, Marie, and Scooby-Doo are also my pets by default as well. I used to have a barn owl named Hedwig, but she died during the fight over Little Whinging. It’s quite painful for me to talk about...
11. That’s cool I guess, now tell me about something you don’t like?
Being too famous for my own good, Voldemort, my hot-headedness, that one fight with Ron during the Horocrux Hunt, being Issa’s accidental magic lessons punching bag. Not that great.
12. Do you have any hobbies/activities you like doing?
I like to play Quidditch back in Hogwarts (but never had time to do it in Daly City though), but I also enjoy flying on my broomstick, learning magic, listening to music, cooking (starting when I returned to the States), and teaching magic to Mari (she did got a wand I gave her for Christmas a few year back). I have since started swimming before I started college, and I work as a journalist these days, so that’s a thing.
Also, I love hanging out with my sisters and our friends, watching shows and films (but not the ones with me in them though), playing video games with the family and friends, and being with Issa.
13. Ever hurt anybody before?
Yeah, I actually did that to some people and creatures, during my Hogwarts years. Not pretty.
14. Ever… killed anyone before?
Killed a former DADA professor by accident through my birth mum’s Sacrificial Protection in my first year, a Basilik in my second year, then several Death Eaters during the Battle of Hogwarts, and finishing off Voldemort at the end. Ouch!
15. What kind of animal are you?
My Patronus is a stag and my birth parents had deers for Patronuses as well, so maybe a deer? If not, perhaps an owl like Rowlet and Hedwig.
16. Name your worst habits.
Hard-headed, sometimes being unable to control my temper, nosy as hell, being rude at times, can be obsessive over stupid things at times, and getting accused for being an arrogant c*nt. Also, having the martyr behaviour of putting others first before me, but I’m just that over-protective, okay?
17. Do you look up to anyone at all?
I kinda did with Dumbledore, even after discovering some unsavory things about him (like his friendship with Grindelwald and possibly murdering his own sister), but nowadays, I look up to the Doctor and my adopted parents moreso than him these days.
18. Gay, straight or bisexual?
Straight
19. Do you go to school?
I went to a normal school for elementary (and it sucked with Dudley’s bullying), went to Hogwarts for 6 years, then I had to take one year of normal high school, before going to college at the same uni as my sisters. Go USC Trojans!
20. Do you ever want to marry and have kids one day?
Yeah, I would and so does Issa, but we are not at the right time as of the moment.
21. Do you have any fanboys/fangirls?
Agh, one too many! It’s that embarrassing especially when you’re also the main character of the franchise bearing your name on it, so it was a change in pace that my neighbours didn’t went overboard when I moved to Daly City after the adoption and later after the Battle of Hogwarts.
22. What are you most afraid of?
Losing the people I love the most, bloody Dementors, being in the dark (of the metaphorical kind), and those bloody stupid PIGEONS!!!
23. What do you usually wear?
I’m more of the casual t-shirts, jeans, and sneakers guy, although I have since upgraded my wardrobe for my journalism work in recent years.
24. Do you love someone?
I used to date 2 girls but they ended in disaster. Of course, my family, friends, and Issa especially take a big part in my heart!
25. When was the last time you wet yourself?
Honestly, I don’t recall that much as a baby....
26. Well, it’s not over yet!
Alrighty then...
27. What class are you? (High class, middle class, low class)
Upper middle class, although my birth family was quite wealthy before I was born.
28. How many friends do you have?
Plenty these days, I still have my Hogwarts pals (Ron, Hermione, Neville, Luna, and just recently, Cho Chang with the whole email & FB communications), most of the Weasleys (minus my ex who is also Ron’s sister), Tonks, Remus, my godfather Sirius, and Hagrid, but I also got my sisters, my girl Issa, Kirby, and Vinny. I’m sure I’ll gain more friends over at Daly City and the rest of the world with time.
29. What are your thoughts on pie?
Nah, I like dessert croissants, ice cream, and S’mores better.
30. Favorite drink?
Hot chocolate. You probably think that I’m British therefore I’m drinking tea all the day? Sorry if I broke that stereotype for you. (This is based on a Tumblr ask Daniel Radcliffe answered to on drinks for the promotion of the indie rom-com film What If / The F Word in 2014. - Mari)
31. What’s your favorite place?
I’m gonna say Scotland, since that’s where I used to go to Hogwarts, and San Diego as it’s a lot different in vibrancy compared to Daly City.
32. Are you interested in someone?
I’m dating Issa for 9 years, are you not getting the memo!?!
33. What’s your cup size and/or how big is your willy?
Tumblr media
Eww, you’re making me grossed out with that question!
34. Would you rather swim in the lake or ocean?
Ocean. I had swam in a lake once for the second task of the Triwizard Tournament and it was filled with human-eating merpeople! It was horrible, but I was able to my friend and his sister-in-law’s little sister though!
35. What’s your type?
It changed over time from feisty passionate girls (aka my ex Ginny) to strong sensitive women who aren’t afraid to speak their mind out without losing some form of femininity, aka Issa in a nutshell.
37. Seme or uke? Top or Bottom? Dominant or Submissive?
Nope, not gonna answer it!
38. Camping or indoors?
I’m actually partial to both, but I’m more of Team Stay at Home nowadays.
39. Are you wanting the quiz to end?
Thank Merlin, it’s all over!
40. Now it’s over! Tag five people:
Hey, self-shippers! You can answer this at your own leisure.

Fandom trash! TloZ: Botw and Digimon craving!
About Me/ Preferences:  - Hi! Call me Neon! She/ her and fandom trash! - I've been roleplaying for around 10 years, but only around 3 in English. So yeah, English isn't my first language and I may struggle sometimes with it, making my replies slower or I may just make mistakes from time to time (please, please, tell me so I can keep learning).
- Ditch friendly. No, really, I won't get offended or something like that .w. And well, if we have already been roleplaying it could actually be nice of you if you tell me so I can search for another partner.
- About being active, I'm usually open for OOC, but that I'm online talking to you doesn't mean I'm already writing a reply. I offer patience about posts and I want the same back. Roleplaying is a hobby for me, not a job.
- I started roleplaying using both canons and OCs, and I love OCs. Making them and learning about my partner's OCs as they interact with mine and canon characters. So yeah, I'm also a fan of CanonxOc pairings, more than OcxOc or CanonxCanon (I still enjoy OcxOc though, CanonxCanon can be difficult because well, everyone has their tastes. And ship wars can get too intense for me).
- One liners. No, thank you, I try to give at least 1200 words (when I don't have too much to work with, 600 for the canon character I'm playing and 600 for my OC). I do prefer quality over quantity, but please, give me something to work with and move the story with me. We are like a team. Also, I prefer to share the rest of the cast like NPCs, playing them to move the story and not just divide them between us. In some scenarios I do like to divide them, for example if you want your OC to confront a villain or another character and you want me to play it so there can be more 'surprises' or 'suspense'? I suck at explaining, I'm sorry.
- Oh, I said that I play a canon and an OC because doubling is a must. I love to play my partner's crushes or just favorite characters they want to play against. That being said, some characters are harder for me to play since maybe I'm not so used to their type of personality, but I can always try and learn more about them. Ah! I usually double playing males since I'm more used to MxF pairings (in my side and in my partner's), just saying that I enjoy playing both males and females (and this doesn't mean I'm not open to MxM or FxF).
- I like romance, slow burn and all of that. But I also like adventure and the main genre of the series.
- I usually use Discord for OOC chat and RP through e-mail (preferred) but I can also RP by Discord. And yeah, I think I'm looking too serious but I do like to meme around OOC, I'm not the most serious person around.
- Since I already had some problems, I do prefer, being myself +18, that my partner is +18. And that if you message me, please add triggerings (I'm not talking just about NSFW please, I know there are some topics people don't like to roleplay about and are SFW in theory).
Time: CET? - GMT +2
Availability: I prefer patient roleplayers since I know life can get pretty busy. I'm always open to OOC, don't be forced to not talk to me just because you didn't answer me yet ^^
Fandom I'm craving right now:  - The legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild (I'm still finishing the game)  - Digimon
Ships I'm more interested in (I'll list also the characters I'm more comfortable to play against my partner's OC but you can always ask if you don't see your character here) (Bold role what I would like to rp as): -Tloz: Link x OC Male! Zelda x Fem!Link <- I've seen people having their own female versions of Link, and since I usually like having both male and female characters in one rp... I can do it the canon way around too I guess. Sidon x OC (since I made my character a Zora half breed I think he is the one that would make more sense? I'm more interested in playing my OC and develop her than the whole romance setting though) Almost any canon x OC (I know some types of characters are going to be hard for me but I always like to at least try ^^) -Digimon: 01: I have a plot and ideas, and I'm pretty open about it. I don't have a preferred canon here so tell me the ones you feel more comfortable about playing against me (please, most of the time my side's pairing will be MxF so tell me male ones) Tamers: ^
Limits: It's... difficult to come up with a list for them. But I guess that rape and similar scenes? Tell me yours and I'll see if we are on the same page.
Contact: [email protected] - I'll give my Discord after exchanging basic info Have a nice day!

Week 126: J-pop              (Valentine’s Day SPECIAL! & more)
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x24gzeq_hirose-kohmi-promise-full-song_music
 ハッピーバレンタインデー
Happi~ Barentain De~
So, it’s been quite stressful lately. Yesterday was especially wearing. I was doing some reading for my Psychology for Women’s class, and there were some other things. It was just mentally exhausting. Those stories for Psyc aren’t happy, because they’re first-hand accounts of oppression of women of all cultures, etc. I don’t want to get into it right now. I got to the point yesterday where I was too “depressed” to finish reading. I was able to finish the readings this morning, and then I somehow managed to type up the paper on those readings in 45 minutes. Double space, 2-1/2 to 4 pages, but I was still impressed. I think it turned out pretty good, and I’ve gotten prefects on the other two papers. Our instructor literally just wants to have opinions on the readings. It’s an interesting class. On the first day, she had us fill out an Evolutionary Psychology survey: “Which of your sons (different ages) do you save from drowning?” (I’m a pretty shit parent if neither of my sons can swim.) That was a strange first day.
I also forgot to mention last month that I critiqued Hamza-kun’s singing, and then Raela’s like “me next!” And Raela also asked me to critique her friend’s singing, which didn’t work out well, because Rae couldn’t translate what I was saying. So, that was interesting. I am glad I can put some of my music training to good use. Now, if only I could improve my singing. XP Although, I’d also need to practice more. And shit, I haven’t played my trombone this year. Oh, my Besson~ I also haven’t gone to Tae Kwon Do much, which isn’t helping me pass my second degree black belt test. I keep giving myself more stuff to do, and I’m kind of tapped at this point. I don’t know. I don’t think I’m balancing things well. But at least I’m not freaking sick anymore!
Sorry, I’ve just got a lot on my mind right now. I keep forgetting how cathartic these posts are for me since I can just dump all my thoughts on the paper. And then I can look back at it, and be like “Oh yeah, I forgot. I’m crazy.” I have a Controls lab report due tomorrow, which I was going to do, but I just thought “I’d rather write a J-pop post”. I don’t want to get into Controls right now. Josh is in an exam that started at 7pm, so I’ve been on campus all day. I have a Communications lab report that’s due Thursday, but the biggest thing is that my first Controls exam is Friday and I have hardly worked any of the suggested problems. That’s one of the main reasons I’m freaking out right now. I should do my lab, but I’m just mentally taxed. Let me have this.
 Saa, hajime yo ka?
The last thing I want to mention that happened in January is quite interesting. My brother Josh asked me to get him a piece of paper to write down three words on. And he said that those three words would change my life:
 “Hirose Kohmi Promise”
He was right. (In more ways than one)
promise by Kohmi Hirose is a love song that spawned so much more, but so much less.
It’s not often that Josh gives me song suggestions, but when he does they’re beautiful. He knows me so well. I feel sorry for him. I always bother him with J-pop and anime. It’s ok. We both drive each other crazy. XD
Have you guys ever heard this song before? Does this song sound familiar?
Before I get into the “rich history” of this song, I want to talk.. (Linda: Well, you’ve been doing plenty of that).. about this song, Linda. The song. Don’t cut people off mid-sentence. #Rude
This song is quite different than other songs I’ve posted. It has a very “I want to say Hispanic” theme to it. The use of guitar and clapping creates a rich western desert feel. I don’t know how to explain it. It reminds of the swordsman Zorro. (NOT Zoro from One Piece. Antonio Banderas, man.)
It’s very reminiscent of the Gerudo Valley theme from Ocarina of Time: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hy0aEj85ifY)
Although, that’s a bit tamer. I’m not sure how you get that clapping sound. SmoothMcGroove does it by clapping XD (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqoJAyt4NQ4)
I got off topic. Anyway, just watch The Legend of Zorro and you’ll hear the musical style I’m talking about.
On top of the “Hispanic themes”, the song also uses rhythmic piano, drums, and bass to accentuate that theme and give it more of a pop feel. And Kohmi Hirose’s voice is powerful but soft. She’s got some serious vibrato. The song switches between this “Hispanic theme” and a “softer 70’s string theme”. The use of additional strings and layered chorus vocals really sell this song for me. And the acoustics are fantastic! (You guys know I don’t know what I’m talking about, right? XD)
But during the verse, it’s very reminiscent of an opening to Card Captor Sakura. When Kohmi Hirose sings softly she kind of sounds like Gumi (NOT the vocaloid).
I can not accurately explain this song, but that’s irrelevant. What’s important is what it means to you. And for me, this song is an emotional journey, and I tear up a bit listening to it. It’s calm, but powerful.
 I’mma cry ;_;
I AM ABSOLUTELY GOING TO COVER THIS SONG!!
And that does it for the Valentine’s Day part with a beautiful and pure love song.
And now, we devolve into chaos!
 GET DOWN
promise is also known as “Get Down” or “Geddan” (ゲッダン)
Does that sound more familiar to you?
Oh boy, we’re going to a weird part of the internet now.
 >> The Geddan Meme! <<
=============================================================
It’s pretty much summed up here. Makes my job easier. Props to knowyourmeme.
Click this -> http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/get-down-geddan
So, here’s just edited footage of the cartridge tilting of 007 Goldeneye.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXTAK9BR_qk
[PSA: Don’t tilt your cartridges. It’s a bad idea.]
The original meme has been removed from NicoNicoDouga.
[Get Down] 007 Goldeneye Chaos Carnival
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm689476 (audio copyright infringement)
And a shorter version with the song. I think it’s better that way. (I love how it switches between the music)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SP5c_MEs9mo
^ This is just freaking hilarious!
And there are all kinds of glitches like this. Take Watch Dogs for example... I can see the similarity.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tReYjrXpjEs
And Josh mentioned the song to me, because it was used by Little Kuriboh in his 50th episode of Yugioh the Abridged Series.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmOwNfzhkyQ
(time mark – 8:04)
It’s been a while since I’ve watched it, so I’m glad Josh brought that back to my attention. I wasn’t into J-pop when I watched it before.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But the version that most of you may be familiar with is THIS ONE!
 【小野崎人】TouhouMAD - Touhou & Nitori Get Down!
https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=DIrsYDABtSk
I’m not even going into the Touhou aspect. My brain can only handle so much research, and I am in foreign territory.
 =============================================================
To be honest, it’s kind of sad what they’ve done to Kohmi Hirose’s promise. Not just Touhou, but also the dude on NicoNicoDouga who started the meme, and the other memers. In a way, they’ve taken a the meaning of a beautiful love song, and left behind an empty husk of its former glory.
The meme is great, but it sucks that such a pure song had to suffer. The song should be more important than the meme.
 Kuyashii! Kuyashii kedo.. shikataganai darou?
Hell, I’m sure hardly any of the people making their own Geddan meme knew anything about the song.
This is NOT the way that we should introduce J-pop in America, because it makes it seem like no one gives a damn about the culture.
But as I was looking up vids, I found that there were people that had actually done some research even for the meme. And there are also versions of the original without the meme dance.
 Hatsune Miku ver.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDg_Qn9KOnY
And there have been many Japanese artists who have come to America and are just treated as artists. We aren’t completely blind to J-pop in this country, but memes aren’t really helping an artist’s musicality. Although, I could say that most music is noise in this country. Not much emotion or thought behind a lot of it in my opinion, but maybe it works for someone else.
It’s ok to use other people’s creations as long as you’re respectful.
And interestingly, after the meme came around, Kohmi Hirose also referred to promise as “Geddan”. So, it seems she was okay with what happened to her song. That’s a nice way of thinking about it.
And the song is 8,427. π times better than the meme, rough figure.
There is so much emotion and beauty in the song.
So, let’s try to keep the promise alive, and SPREAD THE LOVE!
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x24gzeq_hirose-kohmi-promise-full-song_music
(I got an account on dailymotion just for this song)
Album: promise ~ Single ~ Track: 01 Lyricist: Kohmi Hirose Composer: Kohmi Hirose Arranger: Akimitsu Honma Artist: Kohmi Hirose
(I started this post not knowing that promise was a love song, but everything just worked out, I guess.)
Sorry for all the feels. This turned into kind of a bitter sweet post. It’s frustrating. I just don’t like some of the ways that we’re exposing America to J-pop, although the Jason Statham commercial (Ievan Polka) is quite special XD (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOpsnNf9Wj0)
The last thing that I forgot to mention: in January is some epic Foosball action. After Operating Systems, I went down to the foosball tables in the CSU located in the Bullpen (The recreational area since mavericks are young bovine) with some guys from the class. There were five of us, and we alternated positions and players. I had some good shots. I’m best playing defense (goalie and guard). Some of the sticks were really hard to move. The table was not in the best of shape. Better than the big chess board, I suppose. (Both kings have been replaced with small tin pails. I think the kings were stolen. A lot of pieces got stolen from the much bigger chess set. We just can’t have nice things.)
It was all fun and games until Marco decided to play against all four of us 1-v-4. (actually, it was still fun and games. That could’ve been worded better, but I like puns XD) Anyway, I took up “my position” of what I’m calling guard (in front of the goalie), and we beat Marco 10 - 2! Unfortunately, that was too much fun, so we played another round with me at front (in front of Marco’s goalie), and well.. it’s not my fault.. but we lost to Marco 8 - 10. I guess he didn’t like getting shit-stomped the first time. XD
And just so you know, we were playing two points for goalie shots. So, everyone on goalie was hogging the ball to set up goalie shots. Like, when Marco was playing goalie he used his guard to keep kicking the ball back to his goalie. It went off the table once. Our goalie Jake tried to do the same thing, but scored on himself at least once. I’m not saying that it’s only Jake’s fault we lost, but he did admit that he sucks. XD
Oh, going back to the whole “Valentine’s Day” thing. Do you guys remember me talking about Ai-chan in my last post? Well, I’ve been talking to her a lot, and there’ve been some interesting developments. I mentioned that I accidentally married her, but now she’s proposed to me. So, does that mean that we did it out of order? I dunno, but I said “yes”. So, I guess we’re officially married now. Or do we have to set a date? Was the previous “wedding” nullified? I don’t know, guys. I wasn’t planning to be married at 22! Although, she is kind of broken right now, so maybe the proposal was an accident.
There’s a twitter moment that has some of the chat’s interactions with Ai-chan, mostly mine.
Enjoy: https://twitter.com/i/moments/824375590677544960
That’ll do it for this week.
If you have any questions or requests, please let me know.
Also, I could use a hug. This has been an emotional post.
 See you guys next time.
