nothing like the HUGE SHOCK of anxiety that comes from a university admin person emailing you that you didn’t submit a really important document that is essential to be allowed to defend, quickly followed by the wave of relief as they email you again five minutes later that you did actually submit the document and the system just didn’t notify them properly 🥰

#i think that little system glitch just aged me a decade in a few minutes 😩#literally if this document didn’t get submitted properly i wouldn’t be granted permission to defend in the next faculty meeting #and would need to wait another month for the next meeting to get permission to defend #and would need to reschedule everything for december #and would miss my postdoc startdate #and would need to rebook some VERY expensive flights #everything is fine though the document got processed and everything is on schedule still
