since i came of age I’ve gotten much better at expressing my own opinions even if they directly contradict the ones of those i love and care about and i consider that progress. (not even talking political here like. saying i don’t care for a certain food. declining an invitation to do something ik will drain my energy and make me miserable but instead telling them to have fun and attentively listening to them talk about it after.) saying no does not make me a bad person and in fact preserves my capacity to be a more decent one
