summary: saved from the clutches of another vampire, hoseok, under the spell-like influence of her presence, gives away his everything.
he’s running out of breath, using the dense trees and his own strength, which is pretty high for a human, to keep him pushing on forward, but even still, there’s a voice in the back of his head that knows this is futile, that he’ll be caught anyway. he’s only managed to outmaneuver who, or what, was chasing him because of sheer luck, and his luck is about to run out, he can feel it.
he wonders if he’s just being toyed with, if they’re staying just far enough back to make sure he doesn’t lose hope, to keep running from them for as long as he possibly can.
he wonders how he even got here, why he was even singled out by this creature on purpose. he was just on a run to the store for snacks, he didn’t provoke them at all. he’s always kept his head down, hoping if he just kept his distance and never gave the beasts that live just outside of the city problems, he would be fine.
that clearly isn’t the case.
as he’s losing his ability to keep running, he searches for another route to escape capture. he tries to find a spot to hide, but every time his eyes find one, his brain says that’s not good enough, he’ll definitely be found out. and he knows he can’t just keep running because he knows he’s not gonna outrun whatever is chasing him.
he makes the decision to stop and to stand his ground, hesitantly turning back to face the general direction he was running from, when a creature slowly emerges from the darkness, “so you’ve stopped running from me. that’s very interesting,” the voice is raspy, heavy, and, combined with the dark atmosphere, it gives wonho shivers, “is it mercy that you want?”
words fail him momentarily, even as the beast approaches closer, he hesitantly steps back, moonlight gleaming in his fearful eyes, “yes,” he whispers, “please.”
they take another step closer to him, and he steps back, getting a somewhat better view of its face, and hoseok’s blood runs cold, “you were quite distracting, you know.”
“you’re a-“ the word is left on his tongue, his mind refusing to accept that he’s been chased by a vampire. an actual vampire, “i’m sorry for bothering you, please let me go, i have friends and family to go back to.”
the vampire laughs heartily, cracking a dark smile once they were finished, “sweetheart, we’re well past that,” he already knew that, but he was still holding onto hope that he could just go home. the vampire finally touches him, pulling him by his shoulder closer, and he stumbles before his neck is in direct proximity to the vampire's teeth, “oh, i can’t wait to drink all of your sweet blood, you smell absolutely delectable.”
his heart pounds in his chest, adrenaline pumping through his veins, get he can’t find it in himself to do anything but freeze up. he’s terrified beyond belief, and he just wants to go home.
and then, he’s let go. he falls back on his butt against the dirt and the fallen leaves, and looks up to someone in front of him having pushed the vampire away, “oh, it’s you? you’re protecting the human? cute,” the vampire says.
wonho's stomach churns when they open their mouth and he sees those teeth that terrify him to his core, and he learns that the one who saved him is also a blood-sucking beast; he really can’t seem to catch a break, “you still owe me for what you did,” they say, “and i think this human’s life will be just another thing i’ll take away from you for that.”
“it’s been centuries! i apologized for that!” the first vampire cries, “you can’t hold a grudge forever, y/n.”
y/n. that was his savior's name.
“watch me, minhyuk,” you say callously, and hoseok’s breath hitches when you look back at him, sharp eyes gazing into his soul like he was nothing but a little deer in headlights, “have a good evening, puppy boy. until next time,” you shout while staring directly through hoseok, he feels like he might just evaporate under your stare.
the one named minhyuk groans, but he disappears in a millisecond, leaving nothing in his trace but a gust of wind and a few rose petals. you turn to face hoseok, and his heart might as well have stopped for a minute, your gaze strong and intense and overwhelming and nothing in his body can look away.
“now, what do i do with you?” you wonder aloud, and he immediately snaps out of his daze, pleas for mercy and his life falling past his lips desperately, “alright, darling, you’ve said your peace,” he blushes when you call him such an endearing pet name. you reach out your hand, using your finger to pull his chin up and force him to really look at you. everything goes blank in his head, every thought and every fear, all of his mind dissipates into thin air, “how about you be mine?”
the wheels in his head refuse to spin anymore, he just sits there, soft and harmless and docile. he nods dumbly. his breath is shaky as you extend your hand to help him up to his feet, your touch is both cold and warm.
“tell me your name,” you practically commanded.
“hoseok,” he says, without even thinking about it. he’s not really thinking about much as you lead him away,
“my name is hoseok. you can also call me wonho, that’s what my friends call me. what- uhm, whatever you want.”
his softness and sincerity make a certain warmness fill your chest, it’s odd, but it’s not a feeling you hate. it’s almost nice. he looks so sweet and innocent, so warm and full of love and your eyes gravitate toward his neck, noticing his pulse without even having to touch his neck, he looks so adorable, so vulnerable. your presence commanding yet calming and in the docile state he’s in, he’d bare his neck to you in an instant if you asked him to.
and as you lead him to your residence, a mansion so far into the forest, leading him inside, into your room, you plan to do so, “sweetheart,” you mumble, and his head perks up, “may i take you?”
“wha- what?”
you come closer, and while he doesn’t make an effort to back away, he’s stiff under your touch, “i’m hungry, dear. i need you.”
his eyes widen, but the daze induced by your being and presence makes him want to please you, and while the fear still settles in his eyes and in his shaky movements, he allows you to lead him to your bed and to climb on top of him.
you lift his hand, holding it in yours, “oh, my cute little human,” you purr as he freezes in fear when your teeth just barely meet his wrist, grazing the skin as you stare endlessly into his eyes, “you look absolutely delectable,” you press a kiss to his wrist, feeling him tremble in your grasp, he looks terrified, “darling relax, please,” you murmur softly.
he’s so under your control that even if he can’t seem to make himself calm down, the second you said it, his muscles relax. his body feels heavier and soothed by your voice.
you seem pleased, pressing more kisses to his wrist before you finally sink your teeth in, and he whimpers but doesn’t resist you at all, keeping his arm outstretched as you practically stare into his soul as you suck his blood. he tastes incredible, the scent of blood overtaking your mind and instincts overpowering your senses.
you force yourself to finish almost as quickly as you began, unsatisfied but still aware of what you were trying to do, “spread your legs,” you order, and once again his body obeys, legs moving apart as his eyes watch you half-lidded. you reposition yourself between his thighs, pressing kisses to the inside of one of his thighs. he shivers, trembles, and slightly huffs under his breath from the ticklish feeling, “are you nervous, my pet?”
there’s a voice in the back of his head that pridefully refutes being called your pet, but it’s faint and it’s honestly not even true at this point, “a little,” he whispers, and you smile when you hear his voice. he’s on the shyer and quieter side, and the poor thing seems so scared.
“oh darling,” you murmur, your teeth so close to piercing his skin he can almost feel the sharp pain incoming, “you’ve given yourself over to me, haven’t you?”
he’s aware of the situation, your head between his thighs, he’d be lying if his dazed and impressionable little mind didn’t notice how sexual this bite feels. he feels so bare and vulnerable, but he also feels the way your gaze leaves him the most exposed and your touch has him reeling and your kisses make his body excited, electrified even.
he nods shakily, nervously, “my blood is yours. take as much as you want,” he weakly tries to reach out his hand to yours, but all he can do is briefly brush your fingertips, “i mean- please don’t kill me- but i’m- i’m yours now.”
his sweet sincerity pokes at you once again, losing control of yourself for a moment at how cute he looked, scared but still so soft and pretty, “i'm not going to kill you, pretty thing, i promise,” your teeth finally pierce the skin of his inner thigh, and his legs instinctively try to close at the pain but you keep them open, a hand on one while you bite the other, dragging helpless moans of pain out of him, sucking even more blood until you can tell it’s really affecting him physically, and then you stop, licking and sucking on the wound until the bleeding stops, “oh, my sweet pet, you taste like pure heaven.”
he’s becoming even more dazed and tired, you can see it in his eyes, “p-please,” he groans, but what is he begging for? he’s not going to ask you to stop, he can’t do that, “please, please,” he keeps pleading vaguely.
“please what, little thing?” you say as you press sweet kisses up his leg, moving up to his hip, his abdomen, his chest, and finally settling near his right collarbone. for him, it’s weird to hear himself be called ‘little’ when he’s as muscular as he is, but compared to the energy that just oozes out of you, he feels like absolutely nothing, so, so small.
“how much longer- uh, longer are you going to keep going? how many more bites do i have to endure?” he breathes, pain and weakness becoming so overwhelming he might just drown in it, “my head- my head is- i feel so lightheaded.”
“you sound so pretty when you whimper,” you mumble against his skin, “i want to bite you again and again, you’re the prettiest when you’re in pain.”
he whines, wanting to hold you against him (because no matter how much he tries, it feels amazing to be bit by you) but he’s too frail right now to even lift his arm, sitting still and docile as you puncture right below the collarbone, and he cries weakly. you take more blood and he feels himself become even more weak and fragile and frail, the lightheaded feeling becoming more intense, it’s harder to stay awake, it’s harder to keep himself sitting upright, he feels like his whole body would just collapse if he had to stand right now.
you reach out to hold his head in your hands, gazing into his eyes as he weakly tries to meet your gaze,
“one more, sweet thing, one more,” he feels like you might just kill him, this was all just some elaborate act to kill him in a painful and oddly sensual way. your touch has been soothing this whole time, and he craves to feel your hands all up on him more, “let me take just a little more of you.”
he nods faintly, and that’s when you simply lean in to kiss him. he tries to kiss back, he really does, but the kiss is mostly your movements, your taste, your dominance that’s easily overpowering him completely.
you pull on his bottom lip, digging in your teeth slightly, as gently and minorly as possible, just to drag one last cry of beautiful pain out of him and taking just a few more drops of blood before the taste of blood is the taste your kiss, and it doesn’t escape him even after you’ve pulled away from his lips, pressing kisses and dragging your teeth against his jaw.
“please,” his voice is weak, just like the rest of him, as he cries out his pleas to you, “i can’t physically give you more of me, please just: a few hours to recover, that’s all i’ll ask of you.”
“that’s alright, darling,” you say, grabbing his hand and raising it to your lips to press a kiss to his knuckle, he shivers in fear, “take your time, my little human, i’ll have a servant bring you some food and water for you, alright?”
he’s left alone to fall into the drowsiness that envelops him, falling deeply asleep for hours on end. his sleep is dreamless, but a voice fills his head, one like yours, not saying anything that sticks out to him, just sweet little nothings that make him feel so comfortable and peaceful in that bed of yours.
he’s woken up once it’s fallen dark outside and with his wrist, thigh, and chest taken care of and patched up. his body still aches and he still feels faint and lightheaded even as he lays still, but he’s warm and comfortable in the sheets of the bed and the safety his soul feels is worth every last aching part of him. his head is still cloudy and foggy, memories all fading together as he tries to to piece together any memories besides the sweet pain that he remembers yoy inflicting on him. water and food are placed at the side table beside the bed for him, and the small little human servant disappears a moment after.
wonho faintly hears mumbling on the other side of the door that he can barely make out, “so the big boss brought home a human?”
“it seems so. she seemed almost giddy after she had her fun with him. i wonder why she didn’t just suck all of his blood and kill him, that seems like a thousand times easier.”
“yeah, that would have been a lot easier,” they stop for a second, before continuing, “she kept going on and on about how cute he was, how he ‘trembled under her but still let her do whatever she pleased’. it was weird seeing her like that.”
“i know she can manipulate and control others easily, like i know that’s her thing, but i wonder what kind of hold he’s got on her too,” and then the voices become too far away for hoseok to hear, and he’s left to wonder, now that his head feels just a bit clearer, what he’s gotten himself into and why he longs to be under her spell even more.

Group: Stray Kids AU?: Yes // Mafia AU Prompt?/Request?: Yes Ship: Bang Chan x female!reader, brother!Shownu & female!reader Rating: General Audiences Status: Complete
synopsis: Everyone coveted an invitation to the Trinity Gala, but you never imagined attending like this.
A/N: Hello Nonnie! I took the request a different way, making it take place after Shownu tries to break up the Chan and the reader. Hope that’s okay! Enjoy!
--
"I'm surprised you'd show up at my door." Chan leaned back in his chair, twirling a pen between his fingers. "You must be so desperate to even think about asking for my help. So, what can I do for you?"
Shownu said nothing as he threw done a large envelope on the table between them. Chan carefully picked it up and opened it. His heart stopped as he saw the contents.
Pictures of you, his girl, on the arm of Taeyong. You stood uncomfortably at his side and did your best to avoid his gaze. He was parading you around like he owned you, introducing you to the richest men in the city as "his girl" or "his fiancee."
Chan's grip on the photos increased and left creases in the glossy paper. The two of you hadn't been able to be together in a while due to Shownu. When he found out that you had been seeing Chan behind his back, he was furious. Since then, you had no way of communicating with Chan and he had no way to even see you. Shownu had done his best to always have an eye on you, but it looks like someone was able to slip through.
"You know this is your fault, right?" Chan looked up from the photos. "Though she is your sister, she had extra protection when she was at my side. If you hadn't taken away her freedom to be alone, she wouldn't have tried to escape and she wouldn't have gotten captured."
"I know that I'm an asshole of a brother, but I've been looking after her since our dad passed the leader role to me. Everything I did was to keep her safe," Shownu said. He sighed and tucked his hands into his back pockets. "All I'm ask from you is your help to get her back. Your group is one of the most chaotic in the city and I think a little chaos is what we need right now."
"When do we start?"
----
The Trinity Gala was the most sought-out invitation this time of year, anyone who was anyone was in attendance. Though under the guise of a charity fundraiser, it was an auction for weaponry and supplies from the most underground and exclusive sellers.
You had dreamed of attending one day, but not like this, not on the arm of one of the heirs to the SM Town. You passed those you knew from the JYP Nation and tried to avoid their shocked gazes. They knew you as Chan's girl.
Momo caught your gaze, her stare hard as she nudged Heechul's arm in your direction. He looked on in shock before it turned to steel. NCT had always been a spoiled bunch by their boss, but this was a new low. Heechul left Momo to speak to you.
"Taeyong," he said, "may I have a moment with your date? We know each other from years ago and I do wish to catch up."
"Of course." Taeyong patted your hand. "I have to speak with Suho for a moment as well. I'll be right back love."
He placed a kiss on your cheek and left the two of you alone. As soon as he was out of sight, you wiped your cheek clean with the handkerchief Heechul offer you.
"Thank you," you said. "I don't think you understand how badly I've wanted to do that since the night started."
"You look uncomfortable. Why are you on Taeyong's arm and not Chan's? Momo expected the two of you to go public tonight."
"My brother happened. He found out about us and forbid me from seeing him. Took my phone, put me under watch, and had one of the guys with me at all times. The minute I finally get out on my own, I get fuckin' captured by Johnny and Mark to be Taeyong's side piece for the night." You handed him back the cloth, but he told you to keep it for safety. "He's been introducing me as his fiancee all night, and I don't think Shownu would be very happy about that."
"You know he's only looking out for you. Your Family is still climbing the ladder, but his group is the only branch at the moment and there's a lot riding on them. If I was him, I'd want you safe because you obviously didn't ask for this life." Heechul looked around and spotted Taeyong laughing with Kai. "Though, I think you can take of yourself quite well if the stories Chan told Momo are true."
"Oh, I can kick Chan's ass if given the opportunity. Wonho's too. I'm a tough cookie."
You and Heechul continued to speak, Momo even joined you. Taeyong entered the conversation soon after she did, wrapping an arm around your waist. Everytime his hand pulled you closer to his side, Momo could swear that you looked like you wanted to vomit.
-
As the main event was set to start, you settled into your seat next to Taeyong and his group. Your eyes drifting around the room as you took note of the branches you saw. SM Town filled their section, JYP Nation filled theirs, and Bighit occupied the recently vacant YG Family section. However, you had failed to notice the empty tables that SKZ should've occupied.
The auction droned on and on as you grew more bored by the second. Lucas did his best to entertain you as Taeyong bid for supplies, but you just didn't care.
Suddenly, the lights went out and gun shot rang out in the dark. When they came back on, the host of the auction laid on the ground with a wound in their leg. Everyone leapt to their feet, defense ready as the lights went out again. A couple grunts were heard about the room before bodies slumped to the floor.
"Lucas," Taeyong said as you felt a hand wrap around your arm, "get Y/N out of here. I want her safe and back at the base while we clean this up." Another gunshot rang out, shattering some glass. "Now!"
The hand tugged you out of your seat and into the halls. Once you could see again, you noticed that it wasn't Lucas who led out but Jooheon.
"What are you doing here?" You exclaimed as he pulled you into a hug.
"I'm getting you out of here. What's it look like?" He answered.
"How'd you get pass security?"
"We had a little help."
Footsteps turned the corner you ran down, making the two of you stop in your tracks. Hyunjin was panting in front of you with a smile on his face. Him and Jooheon exchanged a look as you were passed to him.
"Go with Hyunjin. He's a better cover for why you're not with Lucas."
"Where is Lucas?" You removed your heels and threw them aside. "What's happening?"
"Lucas is currently unconcious back in the main hall, along with other members of SM Town," Hyunjin explained as Jooheon ran off. "Why are you questioning so much? Don't you wanna see your boys again?"
You said nothing as he took your hand and tugged you over to the elevator. Your mind was going a mile a minute until you made it to the ground floor. Instead of going out the front, he dragged you to the back entrance where a limo was waiting.
Leaning against the car was Shownu and Chan, hands in their pockets. Hyunjin gave you a pat on the shoulder as a large explosion shook the building.
"Go upstairs, Hyunjin," Chan said. "You wanna miss the fun?"
The boy smirked and left the three of you alone.
You looked between the other two, your brother and your love, before launching yourself into Shownu's arms. Both of you apologized over and over as Chan looked on.
"I can't believe you guys are working together," you said as you pulled away.
"Let's just say we have a common interest this time," Shownu smirked. "However, I think it's time to bury the hatchet between us." You looked up at him. "We really had no reason to be rivals since we're allied with G7, but we were."
"Only because of how this dumb hierarchy works," Chan interjected. He held out his hand to you and you took it as Shownu let you go. "We'll be back as soon as everything dies down."
You looked to Shownu, hoping for clarification.
"Until Taeyong stops looking for you, you and Chan will be going out of town. He will lead SKZ remotely and MX will aid them if the need arises," he explained. "Right now, the main goal is to get you home."
"So it's okay that you're not the only guy in my life anymore?"
"I had to accept it eventually. I just hoped that it was going to be someone that doesn't run in my line of work." You chuckled and kissed his cheek. "Now get going. Someone's bound to have noticed Hyungwon's handy work on the lights soon enough."
"Thank you. I love you."
"Love you too." He looked at Chan. "Keep her safe."
"You know I will."

7 Nights of Monsta X
Night Three
The next morning, Alexis awoke to her phone ringing, previously she was somewhere lost in a pleasant dream about being wrapped up in Shownu’s arms when she was thrust back into the conscious realm.
Kicking the covers off her legs, Alexis rolled over and nearly out of bed to reach her phone. Without looking she groggily answered.
“Hello?”
“Did I wake you? I’m sorry.”
Her eyes snapped open as she recognized I.M.’s voice. “Hey, cutie.”
“Hello.” He chuckled, “I know it’s early but I wanted to ask if you wanted to have lunch with me this afternoon.”
“And me.”
Kihyun’s voice appeared in the background.
“Just lunch?”
It wasn’t that she was opposed to just lunch, it was just that she was used to someone, her clients, expecting more than just lunch or lunch being a code word for something else.
“Just food, and talking.” He heard the inquiry in her tone. “It’s ok if you have other plans, I mean of course it’s ok, you’re a grown woman.”
Kihyun laughed. “You’re rambling.”
“I am, thank you hyung.” Emphasis was thrown on that last word. “I just mean that I, we, would like to see you outside the house, and we wondered if you’d want to get something to eat with us.”
Alexis grew up in a stable, loving home. She was quite sure when most men asked her about her background, they expected to hear some single mother sob story. Or that she was used and abused, and sure that may have been true for some, but for her, it wasn’t. Her parents were still very much in love after 17 years, and they loved and cared for her. Alexis began escorting when she turned 18, about 6 months before she graduated high school. Money was tight in her home when it came to college, but the government said her parents made enough money that she should be able to pay for it. As a result, her pell grant numbers were ridiculously low. So, what better way to make an obscene amount of money and be able to keep it? No taxes. Besides, she was a pretty woman with a healthy sexual appetite. That’s how she got her. She was running through all that in her mind to come around to the fact that she wasn’t supposed to be getting close and cozy with her clients, at least not for real. Yet, in these few days, she had genuinely enjoyed her time with the guys. Here they were asking her for her personal time, and not making demands of her about it.
“I’d love to.” Alexis wondered if that statement was a mistake as she found her face hurting as she grinned. “What time?”
Lunch went very well, she didn’t meet with them that night, Kihyun suggested for her to rest at home as they had some meetings and work to do anyway. The next day it was Shownu who called and asked her to the movies. He met her outside the theater and gently took her hand, kissing her knuckles. He was a gentleman, not one out of place touch or comment. Afterward, they had coffee, and she was surprised to know that he had studied some philosophers and had questions to ask her about their disciplines.
Alexis pinched her cheeks as she looked at herself in her bathroom mirror that night preparing to go see the guys. “Enough of that Andrews.” She growled out staring at herself. “This is a job, they are clients, a client would want to make you happy to continue the business, that’s all.”
Applying mascara she thought about Shownu’s gentle smile and the way he blushed when she called him a big teddy bear. He was so fluffy she could die, yea, just die, right in those massive arms of his.
As the car pulled up to their apartment, Alexis leaned forward trying to see who the man standing near the sidewalk was. As the vehicle stopped and his head perked up, she noticed it was Jooheon, wearing his glasses as he smiled at her holding a bouquet of pink carnations. Her favorite.
He opened the door and helped her out, the cold wind of October beginning to blowhard.
“Good evening, how are you?” He closed the door behind her and shoved Alexis hand as it held his into his pocket.
“I’m good, didn’t expect to see you out here.” Taking the flowers from him, Alexis tried to push away that fluffy feeling in her heart. “These are beautiful, my favorite.”
“Yea, I remembered you said that, but I also figured I’d mix it up a bit.” He grinned at her, opening the door to the building.
“Does that mean that we play tonight?”
He seemed a bit taken aback as he smirked and pushed the button for their floor. “Even if I wasn’t I had already planned on waiting for you. Do you not want me to?”
“No, no.” Cupping the side of his face, she smiled as he leaned his dimpled cheek into her hand to kiss it. “I love it.”
“Good, but to answer your question, yes, we decided amongst ourselves,” As the door opened he turned back to Alexis. “Of course, you know you can say no and pick who you want.”
“I know.”
It was nice however to be reminded that she held such power. Even though she commanded respect, and exuded confidence, some men liked to push boundaries. Some liked to try to remind her that since they paid her, they made the rules. Alexis gave no qualms about giving back money and leaving. A check was not worth her self-respect.
“Good.”
The guys were happy to see her of course, they always were. Wonho gave her a quick kiss on the lips, followed my Minhyuk who was not to be outdone. Kihyun simply pinched her bottom in greeting as he continued eating his chicken. I.M. and Shownu held her tight with hugs. After greetings were given, the conversation held for a while, some of the guys wound down to watch television, or play video games, while Jooheon and Alexis sat in the kitchen.
“You’re more laid back today,” Jooheon commented.
“What do you mean? Physically?”
“No, you’re clothes, the last few times it was Fendi purses and Louboutins. Dresses. Today is laid back.”
“Oh,” Honestly she had no idea why that was. She looked down at her coral off-shoulder sweater and pants. “I just wanted to look cute and be comfortable.”
“You do look cute,” Reaching across the table, Jooheon slipped his fingers in between hers and leaned in close.
Alexis lifted her head, licking her lips just as he leaned in and kissed her. It was gentle at first, smooth more like little pecks until he pulled Alexis chair close. Hands-on either side of her waist, he rubbed his thumb over the little exposed skin at her waist as he tongue dipped into her mouth. She didn’t mean to open her eyes, but she could hear the soft chuckling of Wonho near her and opened her eyes to see him wave at her.
Breaking the kiss, Alexis laughed covering her mouth. “Do you have to stare?”
“Why not? It’s fun, and besides, Jooheon didn’t tell you?” Crossing one leg over the other, Wonho sat back in his easy chair. “He likes that.”
“Yea he does.” Hyungwon countered. “So, Alexis don’t mind me. Pretend we aren’t here.”
“Or,” I.M. was feeling a little brave. “Look us in the eyes when he’s making you feel good.”
That got her to do a double-take, usually, sweet I.M. was the type to observe and make some quiet but tame quips. This stare he was giving her, direct and heated was making Alexis think it was a precursor for something to come.
“What do you say, baby?” Jooheon twirled one of her spring twists gently. “Want to give them a show? It’s what I love best, hearing you moan under me, all eyes on you while I’m deep in your pussy.”
The very thought of Joohoney holding her hands above her head, while the rest of the guys looked down on her urging her on was beginning to make the room very hot. Seven pairs of eyes watched from various positions as Alexis stood up.
“Where do you want me?”
Between his legs was the answer, on her knees, shirt and bra off between his legs heartily sucking dick. He wasn’t even undressed, he just walked over to his chair, pulled his dick out and waited. Like ordering a maid to stop dusting and to service him, god it got her wet. Joohoney was fat like salami and he eagerly slapped that meat against her lips with her cupped her chin.
“Make me cum hard.” That was his only instruction and now he was gripping the arms of the couch, while the others watched. They weren’t allowed to touch unless Jooheon instructed and right now he was heartily enjoying the attention that was being lavished upon him.
Jooheon liked to be watched, he liked to have someone prime and center while he fucked. He liked it even better when the girl wasn’t his and he was fucking her better than whoever she was with could even imagine. He wanted Alexis to have a throat full of his cock and look at his friends dead in the eye. He wanted to have her spread eagle on the floor, gripping the carpet screaming his name while they looked down on her. If he was generous, he’d let them touch themselves, maybe fill her mouth while he was in her ass. He wondered if Alexis would want them to cum on her while he was cumming inside of her? Either way, the way she was bobbing her head up and down, side to side with the way she twisted her hand around and down gripping his cock like she caught a snake was starting to wax on his control.
She was gorgeous, lips puffy, saliva around her mouth, breasts bouncing as his cock continued to disappear into her mouth.
“You’re not even going to share a little Jooheon? Don’t be selfish.” Minhyuk was kneeling beside Alexis moving her hair out of the way.
“Mm,” Jooheon leaned his head back on the couch. “I don’t know, this is too good.”
Minhyuk bit his bottom lip, reaching his hand out he tweaked one of Alexis nipples causing her to suck harder on Jooheon. “Looks like it, just a little bit, come on it won’t kill you.”
“Then he’d have to let all of us, you don’t think I want some?” Kihyun was kneeling next to Alexis now as well, his hand squeezing her ass. “You go tomorrow, don’t be greedy.”
“Until then.” Shownu was standing behind her. “Let me taste her Jooheon, I won’t make her cum but I bet she’s dripping.”
“So many beggars,” Jooheon joked. “Yea, hyung, you can taste her, you two can jerk your dicks.”
As Shownu helped Alexis ease of out of her pants, he slapped her hands away as she attempted to pull her panties off. With Jooheon standing now, she squatted, fully exposed to the room. Shownu’s fingers caressed along her slit, her already soaked panties rubbing against her pearl as he moved them to the side and slipped two fingers inside of her.
“My, my Alexis,” Shownu whispered near her ear. “You’re having as much fun as he is, dare I say you like us watching you sucking Jooheon’s dick?”
Jooheon pulled his dick from her mouth, popping her on the lips. “Answer him, you like sucking me, don’t you baby?”
“Yes.” God yes. Was what she was saying in her head, but she had no time, as Jooheon lifted his dick and pulled her mouth toward his balls.
Alexis shuffled and shifted them around in her mouth, while her hand pumped Joohoney’s shaft.
“Just like that, baby.” He was about to take a page from Minhyuk’s book and fuck her face when he waved his cock in front of her mouth. “Kiss it.”
Alexis smiled, he really loved his dick being lavished like this, she was keen on giving Jooheon what he wanted though. One, because with a smile like that she’d let him eat her ass, and two he tasted so damn good. Just as she was eagerly praising Jooheon’s dick in her mind, Alexis felt Shownu slide under her thighs. Hands-on her waist, he wasted no time in slurping her down. Lapping his tongue on her clit, pushing it inside of her. Shownu’s hands were on her thighs and stomach rubbing and caressing as his tongue worshipped inside of her temple. She moved her body against his face, biting back a moan as Shownu’s teeth gently passed over her clit, sending an electric shiver down her spine. Oh god, she was close and he knew it, sending his tongue on double time before he slid away mouth glistening.
“She’s all yours now, and my she’s sweet.”
Jooheon held the back of Alexis's head, as she sucked hard on the head of his clit, body convulsing with the need to orgasm as Jooheon released inside of her mouth. It was nearly too much, spilling over her lips and down her chin. She had hardly noticed Minhyuk and Kihyun near her, throbbing cocks ready to cum.
“Come on Joohoney,” Alexis grinned. “Just let them finish.”
Taking off his shirt, the dimpled rapper shook his head. “Fine, on your face, not in you, that’s my job.”
Taking Minhyuk in one hand, Alexis swallowed Kihyun with the other, they were quick, already on edge before they quickly covered her neck and chest with their seed.
On her back she went, Jooheon’s fingers inside of her, his thumb rubbing hard on her clit. “Let them watch you, cum baby.” He leaned forward mouth on her nipples. “I want them to see you unravel.”
Alexis closed her eyes, mouth open her thighs clamped down on Jooheon’s hand just as the thrill raced through her body and caused her to scream with pleasure.
“Damn, she’s tight on my fucking hand.” Jooheon pulled his fingers from Alexis cunt and sucked them dry. “I’d let y’all taste, but you’ll have to wait. Come here, baby.”
Legs on his shoulders, Alexis groaned hardly down from her orgasm as Jooheon shoved every last inch of himself within her. It was a tight fit considering her body just got done convulsing and he was as thick as he was. He made it though, shivering as the backs of her thighs touched his chest and his nose pressed against hers. “All that dick and look at you taking it. Isn’t she pretty Changkyun?”
“Beautiful, come on Alexis open your eyes.” I.M. was standing above her, his eyes on her face.
It was a chore to open them, heavy breaths dragging in and out of her lungs as Jooheon’s thumb rubbed on her clit and her pussy ached, squeezing hard around his cock. I.M.’s loving gaze was on her though, watching attentively to the way her hands gripped the carpet around her.
“I wanna cum again.” Alexis breathed out hard turning her face to the left.
“Oh, you hear that?” Wonho was near. “Doesn’t she feel so hot and soft, Jooheon? Fuck her harder, I want to hear her moan again.”
“My pleasure, but first.”
It was too hard to pull himself from her, but he had to, flipping Alexis onto her hands and knees, face on the carpet.
Slap
Slap
Slap
His balls were bouncing on the pussy the harder he pushed himself into her. Alexis reached out in front of her, head to the side she looked up and saw them. Six pairs of eyes staring down at her, smiling as she let body go and screamed for the second time.

Summary: As a child you lived among the most wealthy and powerful, after the death of your mother you were shipped off to stay with her sister. Even after finishing your education you continue to live apart from the elite, but a visit home creates an unexpected disaster. You are suddenly roped into a darker world, and who better to be your guide than the infamous gang known as BTS.
Chapter 13 - Consorting with Monsters
POV (Y/N)
“That was quite the entrance Miss Park.” The coldness of Hyungwon’s tone is a drastic change compared to the greeting he had given you before.
You cough on the dust trying to catch your breath after the fall.
“Wait, the Park (Y/N)?”
“That depends,” You gasp. “Who’s asking?”
“What are you still doing here? EXO is in the building.”
You find their concern oddly placed as they dodge your question. “You think I haven’t noticed? First why don’t you tell me who the hell you are.” You look to Hyungwon, “You obviously had an ulterior motive for meeting with Henry.” You anger from find the truth about Henry seeps out. You know you should be afraid, that you should probably try and make a run for it. But no one has pulled a gun, none of them have tried to advance on you, or take you down. They actually seem just a stunned by the situation as you are.
The taller, bear like man speaks, “Monsta X, Henry was just our way in, we’re here following a trail of our own..”
Henry seems to be letting a lot of people in lately...“Never heard of you.”
“Ouch.” Retorts one of the members. “You may not have heard of us but our world seems to be fascinated by the anomaly of you. There have been a few rumours...”
“That you don’t give a shit about making money...”
“You care even less about keeping you own.”
“They call you incorruptible.”
You scoff, “Lame nickname.”
They redirect the conversation back to you leaving, “You have to go it’s not safe for you here.”
Why do they want you to flee so badly? Do they not see you as an enemy?
“Actually It’s probably safer for me to stay... with most of EXO outside.” You have several blank stares pointing in your direction.
“But Henry went to find you...”
“He locked me in a closet and lead EXO right to me... that bastard is one of them. I wasn’t crawling around in the ceiling out of convenience. I had to get away from him.” You lash out unable to keep your anger under wraps any longer.
“I knew something was off. Someone hacked us from this location a couple of weeks ago. They wanted us to think it was BTS trying to hack our server. I couldn’t shake the feeling that the style was very similar to...”
“Chanyeol’s?”
“Yeah, how did you know?”
You have no immediate plans to divulge that he had hacked you too, Chanyeol must have accessed both systems on the same night. “I created a trace for Chanyeol’s tag it just located Henry’s IP as a past access point. Speaking of which I need to get on to that computer.”
“No way, this was our lead first.”
“And that computer is my property,” As you step towards the computer they start to move on you. You back down realize the stupidity of arguing when outnumbered. “Fine, but if you can’t gain access in two minutes, I’m taking over.” It seems like all they want is the same data that you came for. You’ll have to use this to your advantage, maybe even cut a deal with...
It strikes you, that’s exactly what they want... the reason they are here is the same reason BTS is currently backing up VIXX. They want a deal for the accords, but in order for that to happen they knew you would have evade EXO and escape too. Now this is something you can work with, “Do you have an exit strategy in place now that EXO is here?”
“I’m sure we can figure something out.”
You laugh at their arrogance. “Right... how can we be sure that they don’t know that we’re here right now?”
“Froze the cameras on this floor.”
That’ll give you some time then, you reach for your phone off the floor and proceed to dial the last missed call.
POV IM
Two minutes to hack into this system. A difficult job under the best circumstances but now I have you distracting me too.
I can see you from the corner of my eye as you turn your attention to the phone that had given away your location. The instant you hit dial someone must have picked up on the other end. I listen in while continuing to try to find a backdoor in the system.
“I’m fine, is everyone there okay?... Status...Uhh... It’s a little complicated. I’m still in the building, Henry’s office to be exact.”
You hold the phone away ear anticipating the response, a good call considering it’s so loud that I can hear it easily.
“What the hell are you still doing there? If Henry’s compromised you should be trying to get out!”
“Relax EXO thinks that I’ve already escaped. They’re outside looking for me. They won’t think to look in here. Henry and Chanyeol used this computer, they might have left some valuable information. I can’t let them wipe it.”
You know how to hold your ground I’ll give you that. You turn away from us to whisper the next part into the receiver. I can only vaguely here the name Monsta X. You hold the phone away from your ear again.
“Fire so help me god, you are never leaving the manor again!”
“Well I wouldn’t have crashed into them if someone had just replied sooner.” You seethe back. “Right now we have the same goal.” You turn to Shownu. “Where’s your ride?”
“On a side street two blocks east of here.”
“We are going to need the east side clear. I’ll give you a signal when we’re ready to exit... No it’s better if we go unnoticed, if you send anyone inside they’ll figure out I’m still here... He is?”
You walk over to the window and look to the building opsite.
“No, tell Suga if he takes a single unprovoked shot at them, I’ll make sure that he’ll never be able to afford another bullet.”
I quake a little knowing that your sniper is watching. You turn back to me holding up five fingers, then four.
“I need you to put JK on the line.”
Three fingers, now two.
“Because he is going to walk me through a hack.”
One... You look me dead in the eye. “My turn.”
POV RM
I pass the phone to JK at the back of the SUV. He’s confused at first but as you start speaking his eyes light up and he pulls out a laptop begins to type furiously. We had just dropped off Suga and J-Hope and are now pulling off near your directed exit.
“Everyone keep and eye out EXO is on the ground outside. We’ll clear a path and wait for her signal.”
If anything happens to you... I punch the door next to me hoping to ease my building rage. Jin sits next to me in silence. I expect a comment from him regarding my outburst, but it seems that his concern is overwhelming him too.
V and Jimin had to hold me back from J-Hope when I read your text. Claiming that it wouldn’t help the situation.... I beg to differ. If hadn’t sent him with Suga he would have taken the doors place. Regardless of what you’ve planned, if you aren’t out in fifteen minutes I’m going in there after you.
POV (Y/N)
“JK I need access to Henry’s computer, do you think you can get me on from there?”
“I’ve hacked your foundation once before. This should be easy, it’s my system after all.”
The man next to you speaks up. “It’s not so simple, he's installed an additional login in protocol for a hidden account. If it detects any intrusion it wipes the hard drive”
“Did you hear that JK?’
“Yeah, let me think.”
“What about the main frame? If you send out software and security updates is his computer included?”
“Yes, that might work! I’ll create a dropnet override, that’ll redirect the data elsewhere, catching it, when the system tries to delete it after a forced entry. Once it’s backed up we should have access to it. It’s an easy safety protocol but we’ll only have one shot at this.
You tap your fingers anxiously on the mouse, while waiting for JK to generate the necessary code. Your eyes stay on the screen not wanting to lock eyes with the men currently watching you.
“Update sent, restart the computer and lock it down.”
The process only takes a minute, two failed attempts and the hidden account vanishes.
“The backup file should be in the admin account on that computer now. New password is Foxtrot, Uniform, Hotel, Echo, November, Romeo, Yankee.”
You chuckle at what he spells out. “I’m in thanks JK.” You hang up the phone, and hold out your hand to the man next to you. “Hard drive?”
The man next to you looks at you with frustration.
“Just give it to her Jooheon.” Another scorns. “No need to sulk about it.”
He reluctantly hands it over. The volume of files stored on the computer is surprising low, but you’re more interested in the server connections. It should only take you a few minutes. You lean back in the computer chair watching them discuss their plan of escape.
“Anyone going to introduce themselves while we wait?”
They look taken aback at your ease.
The man who had introduced them as Monsta X takes the responsibility pointing to each member in turn. “I’m Shownu this is Wonho, Minhyuk, and Kihyun. You already know Hyungwon, and the so called hackers next to you are Jooheon and IM.”
“Thanks for the confidence boost Leader...” IM replies.
As the download finishes Jooheon makes a grab for the hard drive, but you beat him to it.
“That’s my hard drive.”
“The contents belong to me and they’re far more valuable than your equipment.” You pull out a wad of bills from your pocket and place them in his outstretched hand. “Here buy yourself a new one.” You tuck the hard drive into your shirt as he lets out a growl to your slight.
“There are seven of us what makes you think you’ll be leaving with that?”
“You could go ahead and try to take it, but I don’t think Suga will be too pleased.” You point to the window. “Let’s make a deal, help me get out of here with this data in one piece and you have my word that you’ll get your contract at the accords.”
“How did you...”
“It’s why you’re here isn’t it? You needed to find something to use as a bargaining chip and prove your use. What do you deal in?”
“Hallucinogens.”
“Party tricks, I would imagine your market isn’t too big then. You need funding don’t you? Let me keep this and I promise you’ll get your deal.”
“We are looking for something a bit longer than an accord, would you be willing to negotiate permanent employment?”
You hesitate but you don’t have much of a choice. “Yes but I need my team to confirm.”
“Are you not their new backer?”
“I’m not about to make a choice that will affect them without their consent.”
“Good, that’s what we wanted to hear.”
Are they really fucking testing you here? Now?! “We need to go they might give up on their search soon.”
They start pulling up black cloth masks over the lower half of their faces. “Keep her in the middle, and let’s do this as quietly as possible.” Shownu directs.
It feels odd walking these halls surrounded by them, your two worlds are colliding again. Nothing about this situation is normal.
You’ve almost made it to the stairs with you come across an unwelcome face. Henry had just turned the corner and you have seem to have taken him by surprise.
“(Y/N) you’re still here?! I was so worried when I went back and I couldn’t find you.” He eyes the men around you and holds out his hand to you. “Thank you for finding her, but (Y/N) you should come with me I think I saw your security team outside.”
It was a bold move, especially when you are surrounded by seven men glaring at him.
You are polite at first, “I’m sorry I made you worry, but tell me...” a darkness creeps into your voice as you continue, “...Were you more concerned that you lost me, or that you had blown your cover?”
He tries to hold on to the lie. “What are you talking about? What have they been telling you?”
You are tired of this pretense,“You didn’t happen to grab those shoes you and Sehun saw out the window, did you? It would be nice to get those back...” You enjoy teasing him about your deception, but it costs you.
The same time Shownu pulls out a gun Henry pulls out a radio. “Objective on the fourth floor.”
Shownu looks to you, asking for confirmation.
With no hesitation you give him the order, “Do it.”
The gun recoils as Henry drops to the floor. You feel no change, no remorse, no ease to your anger, only the drive to continue.
There’s staircase is just around the corner along with numerous incoming footsteps and shouts. Shownu pulls in IM and Wonho whispering to them as you hold tight to the wall.
Wonho rejects whatever plan Shownu has, “I’m not her fucking bodyguard, I’m staying.”
“Wonho!” Shownu hissed.
“Fine.”
“One... Two...”
Minhyuk and Kihyun toss two canisters round the corner. At the same time that Wonho grabs your upper arm pulling you around the corner into a smoke filled hallway. You gasp in surprise foolishly drawing in the fumes. While the others remain in the hall as a distraction Wonho and IM guide you into the stairwell. You gasp for fresh air your lungs burning.
IM pats your back, “Sorry should have warned you about the smoke. Next time we’ll make sure to get you a mask.”
“Next time?!” You sputter.
“Keep moving.” Wonho pushes you along.
You take the stairs as fast as you can. You reach the first floor exit, but someone has jammed it in place. Wonho and IM both throw their shoulders into it but it hardly gives an inch.
Wonho takes your arm again and tugs you down the next flight leading to the basement garage. He stops at the next landing. “IM wait here with her, I think they might be trying to funnel us somewhere.”
He creeps down the last couple of stairs. Crouching as he pushes on the bar of the door, it clicks open. But what he can’t see above him is a lever being pulled from the other side. You crash down the steps after him, “GET DOWN!”
POV Wonho
I feel you collide with my back before I hear your words.
“GET DOWN!”
Fuck...
Your momentum pushes us forward, a wave of heat and pressure is accompanied by a loud bang.
Your weight falls limp on my back. I lift myself up just enough to turn my head to the other side to check on you. Your body is slumped over mine with your head resting on the concrete floor, eyes closed and face relaxed.
“Are you guys okay?”
“I’m fine, she’s out cold, must have hit her head.” I slowly push myself up more catching you as you slide off my back. “Run and get the van, meet us in here. I can’t carry her out there we would be too vulnerable.”
“Someone probably heard that though, it’s not safe to stay here.”
“Then we’ll hide, just go!”
As IM runs off, I pick you up and find a dark spot nestled between two cars. I pull my jacket off and place it around your shoulders before leaning you against the back wall. I crouch down next to you holding up your chin I check your breathing.
Why would you do that huh? Someone should teach you a thing or two about negotiating. You clearly need us as much as we need you. I sigh leaning my head against the car behind me.
I guess I owe you now. Who knows maybe this would work out in the long run, but I can tell keeping you out of trouble will be a difficult task.
“Come on you with me yet?” I pat your face, no response. “Aishh, why were you alone? Where was your team?”
I’ll have to have a chat with them. If you take us on this can’t happen anymore.
The click of footsteps can be heard across the garage. They as they draw closer I pull out my gun ready to defend this spot. A few more seconds and we would be completely unobstructed from their view. I have to stop them before they reach that point. I peak over the car, gun pulled at my target... D.O. stands before me but then dives quickly behind a pillar as I take a few shots.
IM has impeccable timing, crashing through the garage door before D.O. can retaliate. I dart out as the van breaks and drifts presenting the side door. Which is promptly thrown open by a very damp Jooheon. I hold you tight to my chest as I jump in.
“What the hell happened Wonho? IM said that she pushed you out of the way of a blast.” Kihyun rages.
Jooheon wasn’t the only one soaked to the skin, IM in fact is the only dry member in the van.
“Yeah, I fucked up. Didn’t see the trigger, but neither did IM, or at least he didn’t bother trying to save me.”
“BTS is going to be pissed.” Kihyun adds. “Speaking of which find her phone they’ll be calling again soon when they see us drive by.”
Minhyuk is about to check her pockets, I push him away. “Back away drowned rat, you don’t need to add drenched to the list of problems when we drop her off. What happened to you anyway?”
“Jumped from the 3rd floor window into the pool next door. We had no choice we were trapped. Made it to the car the same time IM did.” I guess splitting up worked out in my favour. Even when facing death I probably wouldn’t have the strength to jump.
The phone in my hand starts to vibrate. Shownu takes it and answers it. “Change of plan, there was an accident. We had to get her out in our van. We’re on our way to the Park manor. We have a few things we would like to discuss with you.”
I can hear RM’s stern voice on the other end. “Put her on the phone.”
“She’ll see you there.” Shownu hangs up.
“Are you trying to piss of their leader, fuck Shownu show some tact. We’ll be lucky if we aren’t DoA.” Kihyun scolds him.
Jooheon leans over us from the seat behind, he pokes your cheek with his finger. “Is she still breathing?”
“Yes, and will you quit dripping on her?” I smack his hand away.
“We should try to be a bit more restrained,” Kihyun comments. “We don’t know what we’ll be walking into. She says she’ll help us with the deal now, but what will happen when she’s surrounded by her team?”
“I don’t think she’ll back down on the offer. She probably already has a plan in mind for us.” Why else would you have risked your life for mine?
POV (Y/N)
You wake with a slight sensory deprivation, your ears feel muffled, and your head is pulsing blurring your vision. You find yourself wrapped in a jacket, surrounded by a team that is not your own. What had happened that had lead to this point? It was never part of the plan for you to get in Monsta X’s van. Your instinct screams at you to get out, that maybe they hadn’t been as trustworthy as you had hoped. You lunge, reaching over Wonho for the door of the moving vehicle, willing to take the risk of injury over capture.
“Whoa, where do you think your going?” Wonho grabs you and holds you in your seat before you can even reach the handle.”
“Let me go, this wasn’t part of the deal.”
“Aissh we’re taking you home... We had to improvise we couldn’t get you out without a bit more cover considering you were out cold. Do you even remember what happened?”
“You saved Wonho’s ass, that’s what happened.” Kihyun mutters with a snort.
Right... the snared door. Lifting your hand you rub the newly tender spot on your head. Hoping it will help bring back the all the memories of before you stupidly jumped in front of a fucking bomb. You lean forward to get a good look out the drivers window to confirm his story. The winding road out of the city is one that you have taken many times.
You relax in your seat glancing over to Wonho as his grip lessens. “You made it out okay then?”
Wonho lets go of you completely and click his tongue as if you’ve offended him.
“You took the hit and you’re asking him if he’s okay? The only thing wounded on Wonho is his pride.” Hyungwon explains.
“Why didn’t you just stop and rendez vous with BTS once we were at a distance?”
“We wanted to discuss our deal in a safe location. And the longer we keep around the more we get to tease Wonho.” Minhyuk bumps your side.
“Aiish, you’re soaked!” You notice the same damp appearance on almost all the other members around you. “Why are you all wet?”
“We decided to go for a swim in the hotel pool next to your building. On a somewhat related note you are going to have to replace a window on the third floor.”
“You didn’t, you actually jumped?”
“Had to get out somehow.” Shownu reasons.
As you pull up to the gate you see Namjoon, J-Hope, and Jimin on the other side. There’s a noticeable scowl on Namjoon’s face.
“Looks like they beat us back”
“I think you better let me talk to them first.”
“Yeah, I think you’re right.”
You open up the car door as the gates slowly open. A relief spread across Namjoons face when his eyes meet yours. You can’t get to him fast enough, he obviously feels the same tugging at the gate in an attempt to make it open for you faster.
His arms reach out and wrap around you one of his hands holding the back of your head burying your face into the crook of his neck. You wish you could have stayed like that for a while but Jimin clears his throat bringing Namjoon back to the task at hand. He pulls away holding you at arms length.
“Are you okay?” He expression returns to a scowl as he takes note of the jacket and your bare feet.
“I’m fine what about you? Hope seems really worried when he got your messages.”
“VIXX backed down in time, you should head inside we’ll have a quick chat with this lot.”
“I think it would be better if we all spoke inside.” You urge, “There is a lot we need to discuss.”
“You can’t be serious,” He scoffs.
“I am. We should think about considering them an ally.”
“Maybe we should hear them out RM.” J-Hope speaks up.
“Hope don’t even start, if you hadn’t left her alone we would not be in this mess.”
“If he hadn’t left me we might not have seen Henry’s true allegiance! Monsta X knew something was wrong before we did, you need to hear them out.”
He hesitates, “Fine we’ll listen, but I will make no promises beyond that.”
“That’s all I ask.” You know he’s just looking out for everyone's safety, but you needed to be firm.
Jimin pushes the button opening the gate the rest of the way and waves the van in. Namjoon lifts you up saving your feet from the gravel path. Normally you would argue, but with the pain radiating from several spots on your body you are glad to be spared from the walk. As he takes you back to the manor Jimin spots the scratch on your forehead.
“What’s that, did you get hurt?” He leans in taking a closer look at the cut.
“I’m fine, there was a bit of an accident EXO left an unexpected present.”
“You should get Jin to take a look.”
“And have him scolding me, while fussing over it? No thanks.”
The van had reached the end of the lane long before you, and there they are... in your driveway...fucking changing...
“What the hell? Put your pants back on!” You yell at them.
Namjoon, J-Hope and Jimin don’t seem impressed by the display. You push against Namjoons chest forcing him to set you down on the doorstep
“Sorry we didn’t want to get your things wet.” Wonho smiles slyly exchanging the shirt in his hand for a new one from the trunk.
“Wonho you didn’t even jump in the pool!”
“No but the smokey smell was unpleasant.”
You roll your eyes as Wonho continues to smile.
“Fine just come in when your FULLY dressed. Hope can you override the security system for them?” He nods being unusually quiet.
The second you step in the door Jin is hounding you to make sure you’re okay, state of your forehead doesn’t escape his notice. “What...”
“Later Jin, please?” He huffs and mumbles a few choice words under his breath.
You step over to Suga and JK who are sitting on the stairs, pulling the storage device out of your shirt, you hand it over to JK. “Henry’s computer data, looks like we’ll have a busy couple of days ahead of us.”
He takes the drive, “Looking through another man’s browser history, this should be interesting.”
“I have a more pressing task for you now though. I need you to double check the security footage, Monsta X said that they froze the cameras but I need to be sure.” JK nods and heads upstairs.
You turn to Suga, “Thanks for watching out for me.”
“No problem, it had the added bonus of getting to watching most of them jump out the window.”
“But why are they here now, what do they want?” Jimin asks.
“They want financial backing.”
“Then why not wait until the accords?”
“They’re looking for a long term investor, longer than a year at least.”
“I would like to live in a fantasy world too,” V mutters.
There’s a knock at the door. V lets them in eyeing them up as they enter the foyer.
Jin leads the way to the formal meeting hall. Namjoon starts with questions the second everyone is seated, BTS on one side of the table, Monsta X on the other. “Why were you at the foundation tonight?”
Shownu takes the lead in answering, “Several weeks ago we had someone attempt to take down our distribution server. They used minimal IP protection which was easily decrypted. Too easily... the source was a computer from your building. Someone wanted us to think that you had hacked us. We wanted to find out why. We thought that this information might be useful to you and intended to use it to bargain with. Hyungwon was trying to keep Henry busy and lure him out of the office so we could investigate. We had no idea that (Y/N) or EXO would be there.”
Suga growls, “Don’t speak of her so informally.”
“My apologies, we were hoping that we could come to an agreement with more than a few rivals in common. The problem is with the accords only lasting a year many groups like ourselves often become targeted after having made even more powerful enemies. We don’t want this to happen to us.”
“We’re not interested.” Namjoon answers.
“Wait, you said yourself we need more manpower, what’s wrong with them?” You ask despite being able to guess it was his pride getting in the way. Monsta X knew about Henry before BTS, and Namjoon doesn’t like that.
“Manpower yes. They’re just boys messing about, and getting lucky.”
“RM...” You growl back at him.
“Well these boys just pulled your patron out of a dangerous situation, placed there by someone you thought you could trust. Where were you? If you want to keep her alive you’re doing a piss poor job of it.” Wonho snaps back.
“This is getting us nowhere, pride aside what’s the real reason RM?”
He was not happy with your accusation. “The members of Monsta X have been known for partaking in their own product. Some say they got hooked on their own drug. It makes them unreliable, how can we trust them if they’re just looking for their next high?”
“That was a long time ago, we’ve put it all in our past.” Minhyuk shouts in disagreement.
Wonho elaborates, “If it’s a question of trust let me enlighten you. You might owe your life to her father, but I now owe my life to her.”
You panic realizing he’s going to tell them the stupid stunt you had pulled, knowing you’ll be in so much shit once they find out. Your eyes widen trying to communicate for him to stop, but he continues.
“There was an explosive attached to one of the exits. I was being careless, not thinking about a possible trap. She didn’t have to but she saved me, and she was hurt in the process.”
You hang your head as your team looks to you to confirm the story.
“Which brings me to my next point, she needs medical attention.”
“Glad we can agree on something,” Jin sighs getting out of his chair pulling yours out from the table with you still in it.
“Wait we’re not finished here!” You exclaim.
“If we require anything from you I’ll have someone fetch you. Go with Jin... that’s an order.” You’re unsure of what hurt more Namjoon’s cold words, or the disappointment he holds in his face.
You continue to hesitate, but as Namjoon stares back at you it becomes clear that they wouldn’t continue with you there.
“Are you going to walk or am I going to have to carry you upstairs too?” Asks Jin.
As you stand so does everyone else keeping a formal tone as to not seem bothered by what had just transpired, “Thank you for your services tonight, I hope you can come to an agreement.”
Monsta X bows as you leave the room followed by Jin. He grips your arm and steers you to his office. He doesn’t say word until you are inside. The second the door is shut his aggression melts away, and he pulls you into a hug. “I'm so glad you’re safe. When Hope arrived we thought he had left you safe at the manor. We were so preoccupied we didn’t get a chance to check our phones. I’m sorry we took so long. What happened after he left?”
Jin sits you down on the table and lifts your chin to get a better look at the scratch on your head. You told everything, when you describe the air vent climb he examines your hands clicking shaking his head at the abrasions, he grabs a swab and cleans them.
“May I?” He holds on to the jacket you’re wearing. You nod as he reveals the ripped blouse to find your lower back swollen with scratches. He pats the table asking you to lay down on your stomach. Instead of getting you to take it off he simply rips the already destroyed fabric, tearing the shirt in two to get a clear view. While he rubs ointment in your wounds you continue your story. Your throat cracks when you speak of meeting Henry and how Shonu delivered the final blow.
“So he’s dead?”
“Yes.”
“I’m sorry you had to see that.”
“See it? Jin I ordered it!”
Jin doesn’t respond as if pretending he didn’t hear you. Giving up on that battle for now you continue on. Your voice completely leaves you when you speak of the explosive, it takes several attempts to explain your actions and reasoning. “I saw it as he was opening the door I... I didn’t think I just ran. He was trying to get me out, if he had died it would have been my fault. My head collided with the pavement as we went down, and then I woke up in the car.”
Jin stars at you in disbelief, “Right, I’ll be back I’m going to go murder Wonho.”
“Jin.”
“I kid.” But there’s no laughter in his voice. “Are you sure you want to work with them?”
“Yes, I think we can rely them. Although the attitude in the room makes it seem like that won’t be happening.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure of that. RM is just playing with his cards to his chest. He wants to see everything they can offer before we take them on. Life debts are not taken lightly in our line of work and now Wonho owes you his.”
“That’s ridiculous, how is it any different than them helping me escape?”
“Adding you to the escape plan wouldn’t have put them in anymore danger, and you promised them a contract. They were simply doing their job. You on the other hand, had no reason to take the hit from the charge, other than to save his life. That boy now owes you.”
You are scared to ask about the elephant in the room, fearing the answer. “How much did Henry know.”
“Quite a bit, and I’m sure even more than what we told him. JK is probably updating security codes as we speak. We never explained our end game but even if he knew of our plan and told EXO there are ways we can work around it.”
“We’ll need a new lawyer...”
“Might be able to get one through the accords.”
He hands you a fresh shirt of his to cover yourself again as he sits you back up. Jin then begins to shine a light in your eyes checking your responses, and finishes by placing a small bandage on your head.
“Can I go back down now?”
“You should get some rest instead they could be at it for hours.”
With no warning Namjoon bursts into the room.
“I take that back...”
Namjoon looks to be fuming his eyes narrow, chin puffed out, and his hair piled on the top of his head, as if he had been repeatedly running his fingers through it. “Why?! Why did you risk yourself? Do you not realize how important you are?”
“So the other members can risk their life but I can’t?”
“Not for someone you barely know! We’ve lost too much already, I will not lose you too.”
“Would you have risked your life to save Henry?” You know it’s a low blow but you had to get your point across. “We can’t always know how important someone will be to us, sometimes we just have to take that risk. I know that my father would have done the same.”
That does nothing to quell his anger. He places a hand on either side of you on the table and looks straight at you. You look back in defiance.
“You’re benched for now, pull a stunt like this again and it’ll be permanent. I need you... we need you to stay safe.” The slip of his words costs him the validity of his argument, informing you that the demand isn’t for the teams needs, but his. He pulls away taking the jacket that Wonho had given to you, and heads back to the door. “When you’re ready, the return on your risk is waiting outside. He wants to talk to you.” There is a growl in his voice, similar to that of an animal trying to keep possession of what’s theirs.
POV RM
I left Jin’s office slamming the door behind me. Wonho is leaning up against the wall. “She’ll be out in a minute.” He nods and stands a little straighter. I shove his jacket back at him before retiring to my bedroom straight across the hall from Jin’s office.
Your conversation pierces the walls of my room as if to taunt me.
“Wonho... what did you agree upon RM didn’t...”
“A month trial and evaluation after that we’ll renegotiate for a long term deal.”
“Good, I’m glad you were able to reach that.” Your words conflict with your sad tone.
“Any orders for your new crew?”
Silence fills the air for a moment.
“I can’t help them as easily in the field, and with my presence they’ll only make more enemies... Please just watch their backs for them. Keep your ear to the ground and look for those like Henry, he might be dead but I’m sure there's more.”
“Of course. Here give me your phone. This is my number call me if you run into any more trouble, or if you get bored of this lot.” The volume of his voice rises for his last comment, I can only assume for my listening pleasure.
You laugh at the idea. “Thank you, but I don’t think I’ll get bored any time soon.”
Wonho leaves, but there’s no sound of departure from you. Instead there is the distinct thump of you slumping to the floor followed by sobbing breath. I am a mere second away from opening my door when I hear Jin exit first.
“(Y/N) why are you down there... are you crying? Did he say something to...”
“It’s not enough... there’s no way it’s enough,” You whisper.
“Shhh it’s okay, what’s not enough?”
It sounds like Jin’s question is only meet with tears as you continue to weep. It wouldn’t be enough to keep us safe. That was why you shielded Wonho, why you wanted to take Monsta X on so quickly. You risked your life so you could help protect us.
A/N: If you get the chance please check out my master list. I posted an additional POV of Suga from chapter 11 (fundraiser scene) that tumblr decided to hide the tags on when I first posted it. If you like an angsty/angry Suga I highly suggest reading it.

A Time Like No Other
Chapter 4
Nori stood up and greeted the guys. She didn't actually think they'd show up but boy was she ecstatic that they did. “What a surprise!” She told them. She had sent the text because she was determined to get Misun to see that Shownu was feeling her. No, he may not be in love but he clearly liked her even if it was just as a friend. And regardless of his status as an celebrity, he didn't act stuck up like most of them. He was a normal guy and she wanted Misun to realize that.
Misun couldn't handle all of the tension. She couldn't speak, her nerves were jumbling around her belly like butterflies. How in the world did they keep running into them. “Not to be rude but are you stalking us?” She directed her question at the guys, avoiding eye contact with Shownu. It was almost funny as if God himself was playing a game with her emotions.
Shownu chuckled. “You invited us, silly!”
Misun jumped up from the sand with her hands on her hip. “Who invited you?”
Shownu stepped back a little in shock. “You sent me a text. How else would we know where y'all were going to be at this exact time?”
The guys were very confused at this point. “Do you actually think we would take time out of our busy schedule to stalk you?” Kihyun asked her.
Misun shrugged. “I didn't send any text message. I don't even have your number so someone has some explaining to do!”
Nori looked away for a moment. She didn't think Misun would be this blatantly rude to them. She figured that she would just go with the flow since they were already there.
Jooheon noticed Nori's facial expression. He nudged her softly. “Did you set this up?” He whispered to her. He knew the culprit had to have been her because he read the message himself.
Nori couldn't lie to him. She nodded her head with a sigh.
Jooheon laughed a little. “She's gonna kill you!”
The tension was thick in the air; you could cut it with a knife. “If you want us to leave, we will.” Shownu stated and started to turn his back to Misun.
Misun inhaled loudly. “It's a free country you can be where ever you want to be. I just don't understand how you got a text from me. Can I see it?”
Nori was thanking Jesus that Misun hadn't figured it out. She normally was pretty clever but maybe her nerves were throwing her off a bit. Common sense should've automatically pointed to Nori.
Misun grabbed the phone from Shownu as she noticed the number at the top of the message. She immediately turned towards Nori. “You better run!” She started chasing her.
Nori was running for her life. Misun finally caught her and tackled her onto the sand.
The guys were laughing and enjoying the show. “Girls wrestling in the sand? Man that's nice!” Jooheon added.
Everyone rolled their eyes at him. “You would make this a dirty moment.” Shownu responded with a chuckle.
“So are we just going to let them continue this forever?” Minhyuk asked. “Though I'm not complaining, the view is nice.” He gave Jooheon a high-five.
The girls were steady laughing and rolling around in the sand until they became tired. They tried to regain their breath. “I'm sorry Misun but I wanted a redo from yesterday and I figured coup 'd etat. We only live once!”
Misun slapped her leg. “So you're playing God now? I thought fate was really trying to kill me. Turns out it's you!”
“Only this time. I couldn't have made yesterday happen even if I tried. I just want you to get to know him. You love Shownu!” She said a bit too loudly.
The guys all chuckled. The girls hadn't noticed that they had standing over them for a minute listening to their conversation. “So you love me?” Shownu grinned.
Misun squeezed her eyes shut and covered her face in embarrassment. “As an entertainer!”
Shownu held his hand out to help her up. To his surprise she actually accepted it. “I know. I just wanted to mess with you.”
She dusted all the sand off of her.
“So is this a habit of y'all? You know wrestling in the sand. . .” Wonho asked.
“If so please continue!” Jooheon winked.
Misun and Nori burst into laughter. “You're dangerous!” Nori told him as she patted his chest lightly.
Jooheon simply shrugged. He knew he was but he just couldn't help himself.
They all went back to where their stuff was on the beach.
“So is it safe for us to stay?” Hyungwon asked.
Misun simply nodded. “In my defense I never had a problem with you being here, I just was in shock. I could've handled it better though so I do apologize if I offended you.”
They all nodded. The guys all decided to run into the water to play. Jooheon picked Nori off the blanket and dunked her into the water.
Misun stayed behind because she had no intentions of getting in the water to begin with. She just wanted to watch them have the time of their lives. She was content just soaking in the fresh air and smelling the salt from the water.
Shownu noticed that she stayed behind so he ran back to where she was.
Misun put one of her hands up. “Don't even think about doing what Jooheon just did. I don't do ocean water.”
Shownu licked his lips innocently. “Why not?” he sat beside her on the blanket.
“I can't swim.” She covered her face. It sounded more embarrassing rolling off of her tongue out loud.
“I'd save you if anything happened. I use to be a competitive swimmer but you probably already knew that.”
She nodded as she watched the others in the water. She could hear Nori's loud laughter. This made her smile. She hadn't seen Nori this happy in a long time. Monsta X was the reason for this and she owed them the utmost respect. No one knew the struggles that her best friend dealt with but her and to see her just living life so freely today, it was the best sight.
“What's on your mind?” Shownu asked as he also watched the guys playing in the water.
“I'm just happy. That's all.” She admitted.
Shownu looked at her quickly. He was astonished. “What? I actually have done something to make you happy?”
“Not just you. Just all of you in general. I can't explain it.”
“I see. Tell me something that not a lot of people know about you.” Shownu was trying to break her walls down a little. He knew they had just met but they didn't have much time with one another and he wanted to make this time count.
Misun's eyes widened. “Okay. You're getting too deep for my liking.” She said with a giggle.
Shownu shrugged. “It doesn't have to be too deep. I just want something. It’s only fair since you already know all there is to know about me.” he said as he stared at her beauty.
She thought for a moment. “I'm an open book really but I guess if I had to choose something that I don't normally tell people, it's that I'm scared of love. Not just in a romantic way though. I tend to push people away that actually are being real with me.” She shrugged and turned her head away from him. His stares were giving her butterflies and if she wanted to live she needed to look away.
Shownu simply nodded. “Is it because you don't think you deserve the love?” he pulled his knees into his chest as he continued to watch her. The sun was hitting her face just right and he was mesmerized.
Before she could answer the guys and Nori came rushing back to them. Nori sat between Misun's legs. “I think you should thank me!” She told her as she shook her wet hair all in her face.
Misun raised an eyebrow and swatted her. “Nori, stop! And for what?”
“You have to admit that you enjoyed today and it’s all because of me!” Nori told her with a sweet smile.
The group tuned in.
Misun nodded. “I can't lie. Y'all were good company.” She said modestly.
The guys all high-fived her in return. They had to get back to their schedules so they grabbed their belongings.
“May I see your phone?” Shownu asked Misun as she was putting everything in her bag.
She reluctantly handed it to him.
“Here’s my number again, please keep it this time.” He handed it back to her after he programmed his number.
She was fighting back a smile so she just nodded.
Kihyun beckoned for them to come on.
“Oh and if you have time, maybe you can vlog with us backstage at Kcon before our performance tomorrow. You know for your channel. I think monbebes would love y'all for that!” Jooheon interceded.
“Hmm we have had a few requests from them. Who should we contact?” Nori asked him. She was subtly phishing for those digits.
Jooheon grabbed her phone. “If you wanted my number all you had to do was ask!” He said with a chuckle.
“No, I meant for business. That's all, I swear.” She didn't but she had to play hard to get.
He rubbed her shoulder. “I know what you meant but that's not what I meant. Feel free to use that number however you want.” He winked and left with the other guys.
Misun and Nori both squealed at the same time then looked back to make sure the guys didn't hear them. “He's whipped, baby girl!” Misun told her as they walked to their Uber that was waiting for them.
Misun and Nori
Misun was throwing clothes everywhere. She huffed loudly.
Nori's face caught one of the shirts that had been thrown. “Misun, what is wrong with you?” She yelled as she threw the shirt back at Misun.
“I can't figure out what to wear! Can you please pick me something out?” She pouted.
Nori began to piece things together. “You're never this stressed about what to wear. Why all of a sudden now?”
Misun simply shrugged as she began to do her makeup. “I just want to be cute for Kcon. This is big for us!”
“Is it big because it's Kcon or is it big because Monsta X is doing a surprise guest appearance on our show?” Nori knew the answer but she just wanted to hear her say it.
Misun rolled her eyes and continued fixing her makeup as if she hadn't heard a word she had said.
“Here. You'll be fabulous for Shownu if you wear this!”
Misun took a look at the outfit. She had to admit that Nori had s true sense for fashion. She could become a personal stylist, she just that good. “You always know best when it comes to fashion.”
Nori held up another outfit. “How's this? You think Jooheon will like it?”
Misun's eyes widened. “Like it? No! He's going to love it.”
Nori did a little shimmy as she held the outfit against her. “Kcon, here we come!”

My Idol 2: Part Seven
My Idol From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
My Idol is a South Korean competitive reality dating game show. It currently airs on Wednesday nights on Jae-bummer’s blog. First broadcast in 2016, the show offers the opportunity for a lucky fan to go on seven blind dates with seven idols. The idol plans the date with the show throwing in specific missions to complete during the day. At the end of the initial dates, the show opens up an audience vote to decide what three idols will move on to the second date.
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 6 - Part 7 - Part 8
Tossing and turning wasn’t the ideal way you wanted to spend an evening, but nonetheless, you were left tangled in your sheets. You had never thought My Idol would affect you in such a mental way, but you were left confused and emotional after nearly every date. The idols in your season were just too good.
Or maybe you just gave them too much benefit of the doubt.
You had seen the first season, so you were no fool to the deception that circulated the famed reality show. You would catch yourself holding your breath, unsure of when your own scandal or plot twist would occur. Maybe your season would be boring, maybe you would have no drama, but you knew better. Lack of drama didn’t keep shows on the air for long. Your day would come.
And the thought of it made you nauseous.
A heated game of chess was constantly playing in your mind in your attempt at trying to stay two steps ahead of My Idol production, trying to find out which man was secretly deceiving you. Like a twisted game of hide and seek, you looked for danger around ever corner, expecting something when you should be completely at ease.
The three men you had met thus far seemed fairly incapable of betraying you...well, two of the three. Your subconscious jury was still out on Yoongi’s verdict. He was a tough case. Your date had ended well, but you were uncertain if that was enough to overshadow the stunt in the beginning. Knowing full well that he was trying to make an impression, that was not enough of an excuse for him to have treated you the way he had. He would have been better off being Yoongi from the beginning, but he hadn’t seen it that way.
Luckily Johnny's arrival had restarted the experience in a way you had expected, with a bang (all puns intended.) He had swept you off your feet, quite literally, and shouldered most of the punishment after he had failed the first mission. He proved to you that the men of My Idol could be gentlemen and take you on a proper date, letting his personality make more of an impression than any organized stunt ever could. He was definitely a contender for your heart as long as he could keep you from injuring yourself any further.
You hadn’t realized that the My Idol crew were advocates for kidnapping until you arrived to your third and most recent date. Meeting a masked man in an alleyway was never on your list of things to do, let alone following said masked man into an abandoned warehouse. In general, the situation was the textbook definition of a date you should avoid. Ignoring your better judgement, you followed the guidance of the two cameramen you hated to love, and ended up better for it. Your incognito idol revealed himself to be Dean, one of the last people you had ever expected to sign up for the reality love experience. As you had imagined, he was perfectly enticing, charming you instantly with his smooth attitude.
And now you were left to ponder over your uncertain, future love life.
Granted, your future love life was always uncertain, but now it was just televised for the rest of the world to see.
You rolled over for what had to have been the hundredth time and sighed when you heard a knock hit the door of your apartment. Your eyes fluttered open, making contact with the red, digital numbers of your alarm clock floating somewhere in the darkness.
“Why,” you croaked to yourself. Surely the My Idol production crew couldn’t arrive before the sun had risen.
Then again, they had proved you wrong on that very point before.
You flopped onto your back and released a groan as you stared at the ceiling, hoping that the constant knocking would somehow vanish into the night. For as much as this experience excited you, it also exhausted you. While you wanted to shuffle toward the door and go on another adventure, you very much wanted to lay in bed and wallow in an existential crisis just as much.
“Alright,” you moaned. “I’m coming.”
Making no motion to actually move from your bed, the knocking remained constant. An oddly rhythmic beat floated down the hall and toward your bedroom, signaling that your visitors had no intention of giving up anytime soon.
“Okay,” you whispered to yourself. “I’m really coming this time.”
You slid your legs from the comfort of your mattress and whined as you placed your feet onto the cold, hardwood floor. Pulling yourself up, you stood in place for a moment, letting the knocking continue to quietly drive you along.
The first stop on your journey to wake up was the bathroom. You went through the motions of brushing your teeth and combing your hair. Whoever your idol was today would be getting the bare minimum. To be fair, if they planned on seriously loving you someday, that did mean they would have to see you in all situations.
Easing from the bathroom, you stepped directly into your closet, and began to paw through your clothing. Already defeated by the hour you had seen broadcasted from your clock, you weren’t in much of a mood to select something to wear. You yanked down a shirt and jeans and dressed in them accordingly. With a yawn, you nodded at yourself in the full length mirror balancing precariously against some shelves.
“That’ll do.”
The first step was the hardest as you began to shuffle down the hallway and toward the front door. You wanted to change direction and hide beneath your blankets once again, but you had business to attend to.
“You know, if I had a little notice, I could set alarms for these things, and we could actually be on ti-” you hissed, yanking the door open. You froze mid sentence as you met eyes with a face you hadn’t been expecting.
“Hello,” he said cheerfully, leaning over into a deep bow. “I’m Shin Hoseok, but feel free to call me Wonho.”
“I...uh...I,” you stammered, glancing past him to confirm that the ever present My Idol cameramen were standing behind him. “You...uh...you came to my door?”
Wonho furrowed his brows and tilted his head. “Uh...should I not have?”
“No,” you hummed. Your heart was doing nonstop flip-flops in a frantic attempt at keeping you calm. You swallowed before beginning to speak again, thinking better of your statement. “I mean yes...I mean...you’ve seen the past like three dates, right? Sorry if it’s a little weird of a reaction...but honestly, I wasn’t expecting anyone to make it to my apartment.”
Grinning, Wonho shook his head and pulled his arm from behind his back. In your momentary shock, you hadn’t realized he was hiding a bouquet of flowers behind his body. “I hope you like carnations. It was all the flower shop had on such short-”
His words were cut short as you threw yourself into his arms, causing him to grunt as he stumbled backward and into the brick wall of your hallway. You wrapped your arms tightly around his torso and snuggled your face into his shirt. Taking a deep breath, you smiled, and let out a sigh.
Wonho’s hands awkwardly hovered in midair, unsure if he should actually place them on your body or not. You heard him swallow loudly before you felt his fingertips slide lightly over your back.
“So...I’m guessing you really like carnations?” he whispered, a low chuckle escaping from his mouth.
“Nope, not incredibly partial to them,” you whispered, letting go of the man who was still technically a stranger to you. “Sorry, I’m just really...sorry.”
You laughed nervously as you stepped backward and finally accepted the flowers. “Being awkward and making things as uncomfortable as possible is kind of my thing.”
“I’m not sure if you’re familiar with some of my members,” Wonho smiled. “But I think I’ll feel perfectly comfortable with that.”
“Thank you for humoring me,” you nodded, smiling as well. Wonho’s smile was completely infectious as he gazed at you, his expression kind and his motions gentle. You could hardly believe that a man who visually appeared to be made of boulder and muscle was so soft.
“I’m not humoring you,” he chuckled, shaking his head. “So there is no need to thank me.”
He leaned forward, smiling gently at you. The movement began at the corner of his lips and slowly took hold of the rest of his mouth. It was as if you were watching a brush stroke that had begun to highlight a masterpiece. Out of your peripheral vision, you saw him slowly lift his hand, letting it dangle in midair for a moment. The uncertainty of his motions was obvious as it lingered before finishing it’s trip upward to rest on your cheek. “You may have to humor me though. I’ll let you in on a secret.”
“Oh?” you breathed, barely capable of handling yourself. Did he know how attractive he was? Too damn attractive to be pulling stunts like this. Surely he had to realize that.
He moved in closer, his grin growing wider. “I haven’t been on a date in awhile, so please ignore me quietly dying on the inside while I try to figure this whole thing out.”
You let out a cackle as you moved away from him, releasing your face from his palm. His cheeks grew bright red as he backed away as well, his wide smile causing his eyes to disappear in the crests of his cheekbones. If possible, this side of him was even more lovely than the last.
“Now are you ready?” he asked, pausing between laughs. At this point you thought the gesture may be to convince himself that he was ready, but you appreciated it nonetheless.
“Sure,” you chirped. “But let me attend to the flowers first.”
You stumbled back into your apartment, only pausing once you were safely in the kitchen. Leaning against the counter top, you took a deep breath to calm yourself. All of these men had been some of the most gorgeous people you had ever seen. You had never thought you would ever be given the ability to see guys like this up close, let alone go on dates with them.
For a moment you felt guilty as thought after thought began to pingpong across your mind. As you attempted to focus on your breathing, the loudest voice that circled your subconscious was the one to remind you that Wonho was a member of the same group as Lee Jooheon, the runner up of last season’s My Idol...and also the biggest player of the season.
Surely history wouldn’t repeat itself.
They were two different people. Two different sets of decision making. Two different experiences to be had.
Running a hand nervously through your hair you looked up with wide eyes, suddenly aware of a presence standing behind you. Slowly glancing over your shoulder, you tried to keep a shriek from escaping your lips and opted for a small peep noise instead.
“I thought maybe you needed some help,” Wonho grinned, standing behind you. You spun on your heel, realizing just how close he had been to your back as you were now facing him.
“I’m not the damsel in distress type,” you chuckled, turning away from him. You had to remind yourself to take another steady breath. If you looked at him for too long, you may pass out. Then perhaps you would be the damsel in distress.
“Then I’ll provide moral support!” he nodded. “Go, Y/N! You put those flowers in that vase!”
You tried not to sound completely obnoxious as you giggled. You hated feeling this way. The completely twitterpated, flirty, inability to control you actions kind of feeling. In general, you weren’t about exposing yourself or your intentions with someone, but it seemed like Wonho brought that out in you.
Without seeming too obvious, you searched for the vase with as much speed as you could muster. Wonho continued his cute and well-timed cheers as you moved from cabinet to cabinet, unsure of when you would be able to end your giggle-infested self-loathing.
“Ah, found it,” you hummed, finally grabbing hold of the one vase you had ever owned. In all actuality, you were almost certain that it didn’t even belong to you, but for now it had a purpose. “Here we go.”
You eased the carnations from the wrapping Wonho had handed to you and sighed contently as you placed them into the vase. “Beautiful.”
“The prettiest flower,” Wonho nodded. “Plus the carnations aren’t bad.”
You shook your head and flicked him lightly on his bicep. “That was greasy.”
“Just the slow moving cringe train to come,” he laughed.
You rolled your eyes and let a smile easily find your face. “Well then, choo choo.”
“Okay, so admittedly, this seemed like a lot better of an idea before your previous dates happened,” Wonho warned as he slid from the My Idol SUV. He turned around and lifted his hand toward you in an attempt to help you out of the vehicle. Instead of taking it, you chose to be completely oblivious and hop from the car with a smile. He glanced hesitantly at the wrist you still had wrapped in an ace bandage from one of your last forays into dating and sighed.
“As long as we aren’t like...rock climbing, I don’t think there will be a problem,” you teased. Wonho rubbed his hand along the back of his neck and looked wearily to the ground. “Oh my gosh, we aren’t...actually rock climbing...are we?”
“Well...no,” he hummed, wincing as he spoke. “But it’s not something I would deem as one of my best ideas...”
“Wonho, it can’t be that bad-” you began, easing from behind the SUV to look up at the building you had been taken to. “Oh wow.”
Your eyes shook as you looked up at the solid black signage painting the cement of the building.
“Indoor Trampoline Park”
You looked down hesitantly at your injured wrist and tried not to groan. He was right. Before your date with Johnny, this would easily be on your list of date destinations to conquer, but considering the current situation...
“Oh, this is too good,” one of the camera men cackled as the slid out of the car behind you. “Way to go, golden boy.”
“I told Minhyuk I should have taken you to the internet cafe,” Wonho muttered. “I could have made it romantic...”
You glanced over your shoulder at the sulking man and couldn’t help but feel for him. “It’s alright. I’ll try.”
“No, absolutely not,” he gasped. “Not after seeing that ‘enthusiastic’ reaction.”
“Come on, Wonho!” you cooed. “It’ll be fun! I’ll be fine! Don’t worry about me! It hardly even hurts any more!”
You attempted to mask a wince as the lie flew from your lips. Luckily, Wonho didn’t seem to catch it as he looked up, the pout easing from his expression. “Promise?”
“Uh, right, yeah,” you nodded, sucking in your lip with your words. “Let’s get moving now, don’t want to waste any more time.”
Grabbing Wonho’s hand with your own, you tugged him toward the building. He fussed as you moved, insisting that you could go somewhere else. He even knew of a good 7/11 around the corner with great wifi and a wide selection of instant ramen. After many declarations of assurance, you finally convinced him to open the door of the facility and officially begin the date.
You were nearly knocked over by a world of color and sound as you were led into the main gymnasium area of the building. You were surrounded by trampolines and foam pits, along with endless activities that could end in you injuring yourself even further.
It was funny how that worked. You had never actually considered your well being in situations like this until you had an existing injury that could be made to feel worse.
“Are you sure about this?” Wonho whispered. You jumped as he spoke, not realizing how closely he stood as he hummed quietly into your ear.
“P-positive,” you nodded, attempting to act confident. “Totally a good idea.”
“I’ll protect you,” he continued, his expression having turned serious. “I promise. You know, I chose the name Wonho because it meant guardian, and that’s my role to my group. That can be my role with you too.”
“I’ll let you know when I need protecting then,” you grinned, trying to ease the guilt running rampant through his thoughts. “Don’t worry about me until I give you a reason to, alright?”
“Fair enough,” he nodded. “But I warn you. I’m totally going to be a helicopter date the entire time.”
“Hel...helicopter date?” you stuttered. “What does that even...?”
“I’m going to hover, Y/N,” he sighed. “I hope you don’t mind physical interaction.”
You nearly choked on the saliva you were attempting to swallow. “Uh...nope. Nuhuh, no problem at all.”
At least not with him.
Wonho grinned his classic and energized smile as he nodded at you. “Good. You think you’re ready then?”
After that statement? “Ready as I’ll ever be.”
You had never realized how out of shape you were until you spent less than ten minutes hopping on a trampoline. For some reason, the simple act was one of the most exhausting endeavors you had participated in for awhile, but you felt good. Trampolines had an innate ability to remind you of your childhood, whether you had actually ever owned one or not. You always had a friend who had one placed in the backyard and would jump for hours, never growing tired of the action or of each other.
The familiar childlike feeling surged through you again as you bounced along with Wonho, filling your heart with happiness as the separation from the ground grew with each movement.
You pushed your hair away from your face as you continued to idly hop from one surface to another, watching as Wonho did the same. Judging by his expression, his thoughts had to have been similar to yours. Just from spending a short time with him, you had already grown impressed with his positivity, and completely enthralled with how lowkey shy and nervous he was. He was right when he had admitted to his secret on your doorstep, he really wasn’t as smooth as he liked to pretend he was.
But that was okay.
You didn’t have to have someone smooth in order to have a great time.
Plopping onto one of the trampolines, you bounced a few times on your butt before allowing yourself to completely lay out. It was hard to catch your breath at this point and you winced as your chest heaved up and down.
“Y/N!” Wonho called, hopping over to you with urgency. “Are you alright?”
“Besides realizing the fact that I need to lay off the pizza and focus a little more on the cardio,” you hissed. “Sure.”
“And the wrist?” has asked, continuing to bounce before you.
“Mangled beyond belief,” you grinned. Wonho’s face fell for a moment before realizing you were being sarcastic. “I also realized I should probably pick out better clothing for this type of stuff.”
“To be fair,” he nodded. “You had no idea where I was taking you today.” He pulled at the sweater he had on with annoyance. “I, on the other hand, have no excuse. I feel like I’m being boiled alive.”
“But at least you’re fashionably being burned alive,” you chuckled with a wink.
“Right,” he laughed, trying to keep from rolling his eyes. He halted his bouncing for a moment to tug off the sweater he had placed over his abdomen. You held your breath for a moment, uncertain if he had anything underneath.
To your chagrin, he did indeed have on a white t-shirt. This could also be considered a stroke of luck because if you were to see him shirtless, you may need some kind of medical assistance.
The man was just too attractive for his own good.
Your eyes fell from Wonho’s face to analyze the shirt he had on. Attempting to mask a gasp, you erupted into a fit of coughing as your eyes nearly bulged from your head. While he was not completely shirtless, he damn well could have been considered so. His white t-shirt was so thin and soaked through with sweat that it clung to his body, draping over the contours of every muscle and body line you had never imagined seeing.
“What’s wrong?” he chirped, rubbing an absent hand under and up his shirt, exposing a small amount of skin on his lower stomach.
“N-nothing is wrong,” you hissed. “Everything is fine. Just peachy. I’m okay. Are you okay?”
Wonho grinned knowingly as he stuck his tongue between his teeth.
The little shit.
“Well, judging by the look on your face-” he began.
“MISSION!”
You silently thanked the My Idol deities for interrupting Wonho in that very moment. You weren’t necessarily in the mood to be called out for how unintentionally thirsty you were.
“Mission,” he repeated quietly. Accepting the envelope with trembling hands. Wonho gave a short bow to the camera men. You heard light scoffs as they shifted their equipment, eagerly awaiting the idol’s first challenge.
“Are these negotiable this season?” he muttered, eying it with suspicion. “Because if I can rip this-”
“No ripping!” one of the camera men all but screeched.
“Alright, alright,” Wonho muttered. “Just a question...jees.”
He slid his finger beneath the lip of the envelope and sighed as it popped open. He pulled the thick paper out and began to read.
“Swing king: impress your date with a bit of aerial acrobatics. Time to climb the rope swing and make a daring jump into the foam pit. If the mission is refused, suffer the penalty.”
He let out a weak whine as he dropped the mission card to his side and let his head fall forward on his shoulders.
“To be honest, I think this is one of the more tame missions that we’ve received,” you chuckled. “What’s wrong?”
“Embarrassingly enough,” he sighed, looking up at you with furrowed brows. “I am completely and inconveniently afraid of heights.”

Chapter 10 - The Five Dates (Part 3)
Date 1 (Jimren)
The gym was quiet that morning. All of the bears from bear wrestling hadn’t been woken up yet, and most of the sane people hadn’t dragged themselves out of bed yet to get working out. And I say sane as if they aren’t still insane for doing crossfit. Because you have to have at minimum one screw loose to get up before the crack of dawn to go flip tires in an empty building in the south side. But anyways.
Jimin slapped his palms against one another, smearing kung-fu powder across his palms.
“What’s that for? Grip?” Lauren asked.
Jimin laughed and shook his head, “No, I just like to see powder go flying when I hit things. Makes me feel like Jackie Chan.”
Somewhere in China Yixing’s eye twitched.
“You do kick-boxing?” Lauren asked again.
“No, but I do Taekwondo, Judo, Aikido, Hapkido, and once spent a weekend deep in South Africa with a group of Bantu monks that taught me how to focus my energy while stick fighting.” Jimin explained, slowly finishing his two hour long stretching routine.
“I know Muay Thai, Jijitsu, Karate, and Taekwando. I also spent … six weeks at OCS and dislocated my shoulder fighting a girl there.” Lauren also finished her stretches succinctly.
“So …” Jimin smiled. “Lifting first?”
“Deadlifts.” Lauren points to the barbells in the corner.
Jimin seems a little hesitant. Kpop training is all about musculature, endurance, and leaning down. Very rarely does Jimin hit the weights very hard. That’s more a Wonho activity. Not that they ever go to the gym together or anything.
“Alright.” Jimin agreed, not one to back down.
And so they went about doing said deadlifts, next to each other.
Jimin reached down and picked up the barbell, mirroring Lauren as he pulled it up, hiked the barbell to his chest than pushed it up above his head. However, before he could even get ti back to thefloor, he saw that Lauren has not only done the exact same thing, but was on a second rep.
That’s how it started to get bad. After every set they would pile more and more and more weight on until all at once Jimin put it above his head and it didn’t feel right. He dropped it to the ground and groaned.
“Ouch.” He uttered, reaching behind him to his back.
“Giving up?” Lauren asked.
“No, just feels a little …” He rotated a bit, feeling the area pinch. It was definitely getting inflamed. “Shit.”
“What is it?” Lauren walks over, watching him stretch.
“I don’t know. Just hurt all of a sudden. But I was doing everything fine.” Jimin explained.
Lauren’s eyes got a little bit wider. “Well let’s hope you don’t have a strain.”
“A what?”
———
Date 2 (Namdan)
Namjoon’s dramatic, let’s just get that out of the way.
Everybody thinks it’s Jin, but Jin is just a loud and generally over-reactive character. He always handles big changes and interesting developments with a keen and cool eye. Sometimes that involves grabbing a sledgehammer, sometimes it doesn’t. Either way, the title of drama queen definitely goes to Namjoon.
He may seem chill, but he take everything so very seriously.
And it has to be raining outside.
Jordan walked out wrapped in six to ten blankets and a hot cup of tea. She gently approaches him in an apologetic tone. “Sweetie why are you standing in the rain.”
She would offer him an umbrella, but Kate is still salty about the time that Jordan broke her umbrella freshman year so that luxury is being excluded from this scene.
“This whole trip was a bad idea.” Namjoon grumbled, letting the rain soak through his hoodie. “Why don’t you just go hang out with Jin?”
“Okay, well, if you sit out here then it’ll definitely make you miserable. Come back inside and eat the food you literally just got.”
“No.” He grunted, staring across the street angrily. “In less than 24 hours we’ll be on a plane and everybody will be complaining about leaving anyways so what’s the point.”
“That’s really pessimistic.” Jordan rolled her eyes, the blankets somehow protecting her from the onslaught of rain that picked up on them. “Come on, for real.”
Whenever Hoseok first came to him about dating somebody, Namjoon threw an actual fit. He was all up in arms about a scandal and how this affects the future of everything. Which was a pretty useless thing to get upset about because even Yoongi, the most careful person in the group was like dude do whatever the fuck you want. But Namjoon usually makes a scene.
“I’ll stay here thanks. I don’t want to watch Say Yes to the dress.”
“You know what?” Jordan threw back her ponytail hair once more. “I want to, so I will.”
She disappeared in the house as suddenly as she appeared, leaving a dry spot on the pavement where she had once stood.
Date 2 (Kobi)
They had danced in near silence, neither one missing a step, but both showing signs of fatigue. The crowd behind them had grown ravenous sounding, getting so close that they were afraid a misstep would take off fingers. Kate’s lung capacity was certainly not up to par, and Hoseok had to use all his mental will power to hit the precoded steps and not slip into the actual choreography.
And then it happened.
A single misstep and he was out of the rainbow on the DDR bar that indicated a perfect score. He sent a glance over to Kate but she’s in the zone, only barely recognizing his mess up a few steps later. Jimin is on screen now, doing something with gray hair. Honestly the music video was making things worse. But they kept on pace for what felt like too long.
Then another.
Hoseok cursed under his breath. It was enough to snap Kate out of her laser perfect focus, but not enough to jar her away from the steps.
“Looks like Contestant number 218 has made two grave errors. But will it cost him his life?”
Hoseok looked over at Kate. They were both beginning to think this wasn’t fun and games anymore. “I go left in the choreography. This is mirrored.”
Kate was uninterested. “Hey, that’s fine. It’s not even my favorite song.”
“I know.” Hoseok taps away, more in the zone now. “It’s baepsae right? Or Moving On?”
“Nope.”
He looks back, missing another step. But neither of them are in the rainbow anymore.
“What’s your favorite song?”
“Off the one you guys just released.” Kate looks over at him. “Run.”
She bolts off the platform and into the crowd of people. Everything is immediately turned to chaos and Hoseok is only seconds behind, his probably way better endurance catching him up to Kate with her tiny (but not too tiny because she’s beautiful the way she is) legs. The people were swarming around them, hands reaching out to take handfuls of their shirts, but somehow through the magic that is adrenaline they make it out into the hallways.
But that doesn’t fix things. There are more bald men there. Hundreds. Actually like six but when you’re running really fast it looks like a lot. Hoseok snags Kate’s hand and Kobi runs the opposite direction, following the exit signs.
And just when their lung capacity had met its match and the stampede of people screaming for blood behind them became too much, there was a door with a red illuminated sign above it. They didn’t hesitate before slamming into the door and being thrust into the light, throngs of angry people still behind them, but outside now.
———
Date 3 (Tawkie)
Of all the dates, Tawkie was surprisingly doing the best.
Jungkook was still struggling with how awkward of a person he was, but they made do with what they had. For the latter part of the afternoon they talked about things that they loved. This was mostly cameras and like film or something. I’m not sure, maybe they went to a dark room together and like used chemicals to make daguerreotypes. Something like that.
Anyways, at the end of it all, they ended up outside. Kate had given Jungkook her keys earlier probably due to a lapse in judgement or because she anticipated having to see the Justin Bieber movie and figured she’d be six martinis in by the time they got back to the car. Seeing as Hoseok was still not allowed to drive following the last Kobi road trip, Jungkook seemed like a reasonable choice. He was good at everything so.
They leaned against the car, Jungkook spinning the keys on his finger as they waited for their friends. Not only had Kobi ditched them, but they hadn’t answered any text messages.
“Maybe they’ve just been fucking.” Tawni shrugged.
Jungkook choked on his gum. “For three and a half hours?”
“Aren’t you guys dancers?” Tawni rolled her eyes. “Anything is possible.”
Jungkook continued to choke on his gum, doubling over a little as he tried to get it back up his throat.
“Are you okay?” Tawni was concerned now, making a cringe-y expression as she looked over at him.
Finally, the gum dislodged itself from his throat and Jungkook unceremoniously spit the gum back up onto the parking lot asphalt. A few coughs followed.
“That’s disgusting.”
Jungkook looked up, a little offended and red-faced. “Hey, you caught me off guard?”
“By insinuating that they skipped a movie to get it in?” Tawni again, rolled her eyes. “Wouldn’t you?”
Jungkook shook his head, a little off-kilter because for one he spends most of his time around six other men who talk about sex but only in the longing “wow wouldn’t it be nice to like not be at practice all day” kind of way. Rarely is he faced with an American woman who’s saying the same thing.
“I’m just not used to talk about that stuff.” He said softly, choosing to unlock the car.
“This is America.” She smiled. “Get used to it?”
“You’re mean.” He stuck out his tongue as he walked past her to get to the other side of the car. She followed him with her eyes closely and once he was in the driver’s seat decided to get in as well.
“Wow. You’re excited to leave.” Tawni said, trying not to sound offended.
“Did you get Kate’s text?” He asked.
Tawni looked down at her phone. Since it’s an android she had to utilize a ridiculous looking display, unlock her phone four times, call customer support, then speak to God himself directly who then reached down from the heavens and willed her phone to work for a second. Once it did she read the screen.
[STRIKE TEAM DELTA GC] Kate: On my way!
“Why would she type that?”
“It’s autocorrect from omw,” Jungkook, a normal iPhone user, explained.
“Weird.” Tawni locked her phone, hoping to one day use it again, before looking over at Jungkook. “You never answered my question.”
“Yeah, I’m okay. I was just choking on my gum.” He leaned back in the seat.
“No I meant the wouldn’t you part?”
Jungkook’s face got a little red again. “Well, my schedule it really demanding and we weren’t allowed to date when we’re trainees. And even now if we want to we kinda have to run it past people or just keep it on the down low like Ho-“
“It’s a yes or no question, kook.” Tawni shot back.
“I’m just saying -“
“Yes or no.”
“You’re mean.”
Tawni smiled innocently. “I am. I don’t get what you’re saying though. You’re on a date right now. You have time.”
“I won’t when I go back to Korea. We sold our souls to come here. Well, Jimin and Taehyung did. and we only get a couple days. Plus the jet lag …” He trailed off. “Wait we’re on a date?”
“Oh my god.” Tawni sighed. “So did you think that we were just hanging out with another couple for fun?”
“I guess not.”
“So.”
“So?”
He looked at her from across the center console, their eyes meeting in some sort of magical way because that’s how these things work. It was a little magical though, if only on Tawni’s part because let’s be real Jungkook is cute af, okay.
And by the power vested in me as an author, Jungkook leans across the center console, resting his forearm on the compartment, and stretching his insanely long body over to get closer to Tawni, who shuts her eyes in anticipation. He hesitates a little bit, being so far from home and wondering if this was leading somebody on because low-key he has to be a super star, so there’s not a ton of hope for them even if they want it to be.
He looks up momentarily, seeing something out the window.
“What is it?” Tawni asks softly.
“Nothing.” He says, looking down at her for a moment before shutting his eyes and leaning in again.
Really, if Hoseok can make it work. Why not everybody else too? So he goes for it.
But there’s a noise.
He looks up.
“Come on. What is it?” Tawni asks, opening her own eyes. “Do I have bad breath. Kate’s addicted to gum so-”
“No, it’s-” Jungkook shifts to look out the window, “Hoseok and Kate.”
“That’s fine. They can wait for a second.” Tawni reaches forward for Jungkook’s shirt.
“Uh, I don’t think they can.” He responds.
Tawni looks over her shoulder to where she saw Hoseok and Kate making a mad fucking dash for the car and waving their arms. Tawni basically growls, popping the door open to yell at them but being met by more sounds than she could compete with.
“START THE CAR!” Kate is screaming, her voice hoarse like she’d run a marathon.
“WE GOTTA GO NOW!” Hoseok screamed as well, practically dragging Kate behind them.
Not to far in the distance, an angry mob approaches, more people than Tawni can count that are yelling in high pithed voices, waving money and honestly she decides in that moment that it’s probably a pretty fucking serious situation.
“Go!” Tawni yanks the door shut and pushes Jungkook.
Jungkook slammed the keys into the ignition and is cursing to himself under his breath, cranking it until the car comes to life, then slamming the unlock buttons. In a matter of seconds, Kate and Hoseok throw themselves into the car by yanking the door open and piling in. Not even waiting of ranything, they pull the door shut and start yelling
“JUNGKOOK”
“GO FUCKING GO RIGHT NOW”
And Jungkook does, indeed, fucking go, nailing the gas pedal with his foot and squealing Kate’s car out of the parking lot.

Date 5 (Minten)
They rode the Phantom like six times in total silence. Each time coming back to the beginning and not really being sure if they liked it.
In reality, Yoongi was trying to figure out how exactly Bria knew enough employees of this local park to get them to run the ride just for shits and giggles. One was named Kittywampus and she seemed to have a great deal of understanding on how to run these things. It seemed that Tater Cakes and Czechia just pushed buttons and gossiped.
Either way they ended up at the end of their … seventh run through? And decided to just sit in the carts and look at the lights of Pittsburgh. It was good for the creative energy.
“I’m writing this song.” Yoongi said at last. “It’s gonna be fucking insane.”
“How fucking insane?” Bria inquired.
“Like … burning up.” He said, taken a back by his own words. “That’s pretty good isn’t it? Sounds good in korean.”
“What type of song is it?” Bria asks.
“Like … pop, hip hop. Hoseok and I were doing some work on it before we left. I think he just wants something they can make intense choreography too, though.”
“And you?”
“It’s gotta have some sort of meaning, you know?” Yoongi made a face, “Okay, well right now the chorus is just the word fire, but I’m sure it’ll get better by release.”
Bria nodded, understanding intimately the process of songwriting from her days as an underground jazz rapper. The scene was really toxic, though, so she’s glad she got out when she did.
Yoongi sighed, looking out over the city lights of Pittsburgh before his phone started to go off. “Fuck.”
“What is it?”
Yoongi sighed, pulling his phone out. “I only get vibrations from our manager. That usually means somebody fucked up.”
“Did they?”
Bria didn’t get an immediate response, watching Yoongi glower down at the little display on his fully functioning iPhone for a couple of seconds. His expression went from pissed to sour to generally disappointed in a couple of lines of text. “Yeah, apparently this trip didn’t go well for the majority of us. Hoseok and Kate did some dumb shit as per usual and pulled Jungkook and his not-girlfriend into it. Jin was being Jin, Namjoon was being a dumbass and now Jimin might have an injury and Taehyung may have stolen an animal from it’s home.”
Bria shrugged. “Well, you should try everything once.”
“Not fucking up your career.” Yoongi groaned, hopping out of the cart and onto the platform to leave. “I gotta go.”
“I’ll come with you. I’m a good translator from dumbass to slightly less dumbass.”
It made Yoongi laugh despite how pissy he was suddenly. So they got off the ride, thanked all of the people Bria knew and quickly made their way out of the park and towards the exit where they would proceed to sit around and wait for an uber for a little bit.
“You know what pisses me off more than them doing dumbass shit like this?” Yoongi asked.
“Namjoon taking credit for your songs?” Bria asked.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
Yoongi looked back to the road, continuing his thought from before, “It’s that we’re on the rise and all that. If this song doesn’t suck, which … could be the truth, then we could be hits. Maybe not like EXO or BIGBANG huge but we could be … something. And I just don’t want these idiots to fuck everything up before we get that chance.”
“Is being famous that important to you guys?” Bria asked sincerely.
“I mean, Jungkook debuted when he was 15.” Yoongi laughed, standing up as a car approached. “I don't think any of us went through Hell to fuck it up on one trip to America.”
Bria looked at the person rolling up to pick them up. “Yo! Glenjamin, how’s it been?”
———
And yes, Yoongi had to play mom along with Jin. Once “Strike Team Delta” got back to Pittsburgh, they all got a thorough tongue lashing and The two now parents of this squad of children, yanked everybody to the airport in the morning and flew out to Korea.
The trip to America left a bad taste in their mouth.
But it certainly wasn’t the end of Kobi, Tawkie, Namdan (or Jorjin if you’re into that), and Minten.
In fact, I think Kate is planning a trip to South Korea as we speak. And everybody wants in.
