Feeling really excited and nervous about my graduation project. BUT the subjects I will be talking with my supervisor is going to be queer as hell and personal, and even the most intellectual person in Turkey can turn out to be deeply homophobic. Two years ago I showed a graphic novel I was working on (which was about existing as a queer person in Turkey at the core) to one of my teachers, which I thought was cool. He laughed at it :D and said that I'll never find someone who'll publish it. It broke my heart really, now I don't even see myself showing my art to these guys, even the ones who will not laugh at my work. AND you'll see them going around talking like they are enlightened and woke. Art can talk about anything, unless it makes them uncomfortable I guess.
