Ok i looked it up and it doesnt have to specifically be milk but point still stands. Also they pull pranks! How cool would that have been. Like you could still have dobby as like a brownie the malfoys have bound against his will and still have harry free him. And then he starts living at hogwarts and pulling pranks and being happy and silly. Might as well axe that stupid prank ghost and give his stuff to these guys. Like, theyre supposed to be based off brownies and stuff from british folklore but. uh. brownies weren't enslaved?????? brownies move in uninvited, do helpful things, and you better leave out milk for them as thanks of theyll either leave or start fucking your shit up in revenge. you cant "free" a brownie because theyre there of their own damn free will and they expect payment for their services.
