#having a silly little crush on a coworker when you work at a library is like#they mention in a meeting that they really want to read a book that’s coming out#and you are the person who orders everything for the english collection#so you ask the collection librarian if it’s cool to pre-order that book#(after waiting a few days so the timing isn’t too suspicious that you happen to be ordering the book)#and then you let your coworker know as soon as it’s ordered so they can put a hold on it#and then when you get the book on the release day you flag it to be rush catalogued so they’ll be able to read it the day after it came out#yeah#and was it obvious bc other coworkers in the same meeting also wanted to reas the book and i didn’t give any of them a head’s up?#hopefully not 😅
