Making date nut bread and I forgot the nuts 🫠

Added them at the last second, but given that I literally pulled out the pans, sprinkled on the nuts, gave it a stir, and replaced it I bet it’s going to stick like the dickens.

#this whole affair is being accomplished somewhat experimentally #used to few dates and an extra 1/4 cup of water by accident #switched in brown sugar for white sugar #sodium free baking soda substitute for baking powder (amounts adjusted)#an unholy mix of ap bread and cake flour #we’ll see what happens #worst case I think is sodden brick #which might actually be in the tradition of the canned versions #oh yeah coming back to this to say I also switched the cinnamon and nutmeg it called for wholesale for pumpkin pie spice #and used the first loaf pan to hand which i suspect was not the dimensions called for
