“Sokka?” Zuko’s voice sounds more careful now. It’s not as frantic, more low and questioning in that rare soft tone that Sokka doesn’t think he’ll ever get used to.

“Could you…” Sokka’s voice is barely above a murmur, “could you come pick me up?” He’s looking dazed at his legs splayed out in front of him, watching the rain slide off of his sneakers.

“Where are you?” Zuko says sternly. * * * Or, Sokka is having a comically shitty day, and he realizes that he doesn't have anyone to turn to for comfort-- That is until Zuko of all people is the one he ends up calling for help when he gets locked out of his car.

Later he realizes that maybe today had been one of the worst days of his life, but when he looked at Zuko, he thought that it was just the beginning for a lot of great ones.
