reading "The Tragedy of Heterosexuality" and honestly chapter 2 instead of the misogyny paradox could've been called the horrors of heterosexuality. like i was mildly familiar with some of these concepts but the sources she is providing come together to give a feeling of body horror

#its like again if you agree w feminist ideas and are a queer person its like sure i know that modern heterosexuality is not something that i #want to be involved with and the deep misogyny still present in its every aspect but the SOURCES. it feels like ive just realized how fake #and truman show esque it is like not just misogyny/racism having vestigial leftovers into straightness but the entire modern concept of #heterosexuality being intentionally constructed and ADVERTISED based on eugenics specifically and the idea that straightness as we know it #was thought by many to be unnatural and something that needed to be taught in order to preserve the white race #im not trying to preach to anybody btw in case yall are like this is old news maybe..just documenting my thoughts while listening to the #audiobook. i am trying to read more literature on topics i have been discussing casually/online for years and its good to have reminders #like this that reinforces that i cant get all my material from reading posts its actually necessary to read books. & mentally stimulating !!#reading journals #<- also starting a new tag 🙂
