Finished 2002 Tobey Spidey today and. The upside down kiss seemed hot until I zoned out for a sec and thought he had lost half his face, so I kept laughing at half-face tobey maguire. Anywho starting Tobey 2: electric spidey-boo now :thumbs_up:

also sm2 is my favorite out of all three!! even though i love all three so much (idc what people say about sm3 i love it) peter is so precious but he gets done so dirty 😭 my baby deserves happiness

Quick, unorganized rambling thoughts:

Along the same lines, give it up to Tom because that man can really pull off a pained teenage angst that you can’t help but sympathize with. He did a great job with the rage scene as well. 

I loved that Tobey!Peter was the one that stopped him from killing Osborne. I enjoyed Tobey!Peter being more of a mentor to Tom!Peter.

ANDREW!PETER YOU MAGNIFICENT MAN. All of his scenes were delightful. 💙 Also damn he’s so hot in this asdfjkl;

I enjoyed all of the Tom/Andrew/Tobey scenes. It was endearing to watch their own interpretations of the character interact (but overlap as well).

...I’m not big on Dr. Strange so I’m glad he wasn’t in it as much as I thought, lol. Still don’t get why he was stupidly listening to a teenager in the first place or didn’t explain any sort of consequences before the spell but whatever I know there wouldn’t be movie if that were the case but it’s still dumb. Where’s Wong when you need him. 

GOD, Green Goblin is such a terror. Loved seeing William Dafoe putting on goddamn villain clinic.

We could have done without Sandman and Lizard though. They were dispensable tbh. 

Finally, I actually like that it’s now back to Peter/anonymity. I wasn’t a fan of Mysterio revealing who Spider-Man was so while this way may be a little copout-ish, I’m on board even though it hurts. (MJ & Peter 💔) 

All in all, I enjoyed it! It was a fun, albeit a nostalgic fanservice, good time. 

Basically I’m ignoring all of the timeline, multiverse, spells logic because you know damn well none of this is making any sense especially if you include whatever the hell LOKI was “explaining”, lmao. 

Unrelated side note: When I went to see this movie, Betty White was still alive. When the movie ended and everyone checked their phones the whole theater was just solemn. 😔
