fun trivia thing in my campaign is that like yeah naielle's gay, she has a wife.

back when that wife was just a background detail fiancee there was a span of time like a half dozen sessions long where i went 'what if naielle's arc here is letting go of her past and this all-consuming idea of the life was was "supposed" to have, including allowing herself to consider her engagement null, and considering herself single? what then?'

the 'what then' was then, very likely, for that brief moment, to lead to her trying to date the priest, who is a man.

#gay is more of a state of mind here #this train of thought was blocked by the gm parachuting her fiancee in via interdimensional letter #and its like oh okay nevermind naielle isnt the only one keeping hope alive. nix everything i have ever said and done #naielle never actually committed to the idea of doing anything. i considered it on her behalf #and to be fair - the priest is probably her closest friend in the fleet #now there WAS a female npc thats an option. ironically she is actually married to naielle's other friend in the fleet #naielle did not Know This until she met said friend for the first time and the like first thing she said was #'marias told me a lot about you' h-hm? hm?? fascinating.#then again i think maria and euphemia would not have necessarily said no to naielle as a third in that relationship #the two of them had a whole discussion about euphemia getting gills and the new potential in the bedroom. a polycule is not out of reality
