Heyo! Sorry for coming into ur ask box randomly but I was thinking about one of ur responses to the last ask meme about how you have some ideas stewing on the backburner that, if you wrote them, would probably be huge and maybe more work than you could have time/energy for. if the universe was the perfect place that we deserve where we could just. beam our thoughts into a blank doc perfectly somehow, what are a couple of the things that you'd write?
aw man... well, in no particular order, I've done very rough idea-sketching for the following trigun AUs:
basically Stephen King's The Mist except a bunch of people are stuck in a diner were Vash (vagrant with mysterious past) is working as a dishwasher and Wolfwood (priest who manages the orphanage attached to a megachurch with deep corruption) is taking about a dozen kids out for lunch so that Miss Melanie can get some shut-eye. the mist happens and all sorts of dramas afflict the diner and then when a select bunch end up running for it (led by the newly-bonded-in-fire V&W) they need to traverse a town full of fog and nightmares to find Melanie, the rest of the kids, and a way to escape
seafaring AU wherein Knives and Vash are selkies and Knives stole his own twin's skin and keeps Vash imprisoned in the belly of his infamous Flying Dutchman-style ghost ship called the Ark. Wolfwood died at sea and was offered a soul-indenture deal as crew for the Ark and now he's the assistant ships' cook and has all sorts of religious trauma. he finds a mysterious naked, scarred man in the bilge and slowly unfolds the truth and vows to steal back Vash's skin, even knowing that he himself can never leave the Ark.
beauty and the beast AU with uncanny monster Vash in a thorned-in castle... parts of this ended up in my big bang fic
fae court AU where Vash and Knives are the summer & winter, seelie & unseelie double faces of the same entity, who maybe split themselves in half during (or in reaction to) a past trauma? (some of the aesthetic of this made it to the BB fic)
a fantasy prince!Vash & knight!Wolfwood AU in which the twins are supposedly the children of the late princess Rem and her husband Alex but actually they were secretly foundlings of unknown origin and it's a scandal for them to be claimed as royalty. meanwhile the king's master alchemist is doing some human experimentation bullshit on the downlow and is stealing scullery kids and orphans who muck the stables for pennies or whatever, and doing Eye of Michael nonsense to them. Wolfwood is such a success that he's quietly slipped back into palace life as a page, to act as a closed mouth and open ears to the affairs of nobles etc. He and Vash are age peers and end up running into each other and becoming fast friends over years; meanwhile Knives is uncovering the corruption in the castle and instead of reporting it, he's taking it over. this one would for real for real be way too long for me to ever write, because I was daydreaming that it would go on for like, multiple action set pieces and changes of status quo, and several decades of Vash & WW's lives, and eventually Knives would kill the king and take over, and V & WW would be the outlaw & his rogue knight, and yadda yadda yadda it's a 450K fanfic that I want to read but not write
music scene AU in which WW is stage crew and Vash is the reclusive identical twin of famous punk/glam rocker Knives (stage name), and WW finds the person he thinks is the talent wandering lost backstage and is like these goddamn stars always so goddamn high, ugh, until he chases Vash down and Vash is like ohhh no I'm just back here because my brother invited me ahaha... hi you're cute... IDK, this could be long or it could just be a short PWP of vashwood hooking up in the green room, lol
direct Green Knight AU in which Wolfwood is the fledgling knight starved for praise who doesn't actually like violence and prefers softness and comfort, but when he perceives his masculinity as being tested he goes all-in on violence and does the classic thing of beheading the Green Knight in the contest of blows. and then he goes on his journey etc etc and encounters Lord Bertilak, who would be Vash, and they play the game of exchanges of gifts, except in this version when the lady of the house gives WW a sexual favor he doesn't cheap out like the movie did and not have Dev Patel give Joel Edgerton a handjob! it was right there! come on, we were robbed! ahem. uh. yeah. a lot of this ended up in my BB fic also. XD
like a Mr & Mrs Smith comedy AU in which Vash and Wolfwood both are either criminals or one is a criminal and one is an undercover operative and they're both trying to blow the whistle on Knives' crime ring without letting each other get wind of what they're doing and it plays out for way too long before they finally realize they were doing the same thing the whole time
I did the research for this whole fuckin thing set in 1814 England of Vash having just come home from losing an arm in the Napoleonic Wars and becoming friends with the local Anglican priest who takes his confessions i.e. is just the only person he can talk to through his PTSD and also both of them agonizingly realizing that they're queer and into each other... and after doing all this research I was like, what the fuck am I doing, I don't even really like historical dramas.
Great Fall happens on a water planet??? (I mean everyone's gotta wish they could do an alternate-biome-Trigun, right? I've seen the ice planet AU art out there which is PHENOMENAL)
Vash is a high school chemistry teacher who pranks his students at least once a semester by pretending to blow up his arm, Wolfwood is a special education teacher, Milly's the coach (of everything), Meryl's the haggard and perpetually harassed economics teacher, the climax of the plot is prom and V&W goofily act out the proms of their own they never got to go to, and they fuck in a limo, idk. this one's a comedy
I think about AU ideas a normal amount

Speak Now - Sam Winchester Imagine (Supernatural)
Tumblr media
Title: Speak Now
Pairing: Sam Winchester X Reader
Word Count: 1,695 words
Warning(s): drugging, threats of violence
Summary: (Season 7, Episode 8) During a trip that was meant to be a vacation, (Y/n) and Dean are met with some very surprising new from Sam and an old face.
Author's Note: This was deadass going to be a chapter in a Sam Winchester fanfiction I was planning. I ended up scrapping it after a while, but I could not shake this idea. It's based on a silly episode, but it would've been a pivotal moment in the fanfiction.
God, this episode, dude.
Hey! I did a rewrite of the ending of Supernatural. It took a really long time to complete, so it would mean a lot to me if you check it out. Here’s a link! (it’s on my personal account)
-------------------------------
After everything that had happened, Sam, Dean, and I deserved a small break. Dean thought that the annual Vegas would be a perfect choice.
He went off drinking in a strip club. Sam decided he was going to go on a hike. I found a spot outside of the city to find some non-lore-related books and such.
Honestly, I think the book thing irritated Dean more than the hike.
"You are going to have a whole duffel bag devoted to these books and I am going to be the one lugging them around!"
I just told him that he wouldn't, but he would be a true gentleman if he did.
I was in the middle of my bookstore hunt when my phone buzzed.
"Hello," I said quietly.
"We've got an emergency," Dean said quickly. "I got a text from Sam. It was just an address and instruction to wear the FED outfits. I'm coming to pick you up."
"Okay," I muttered. "I don't have my... outfit with me."
I wasn't going to yell like that I was dressing like a federal agent in the middle of a store.
"Yeah, I know, I've got it," he replied. "You can throw it on in the back of the car."
"Dean-"
"I'm not gonna peek at anything," he promised. "We just don't have time."
After he picked me up and I awkwardly tried to hold onto some dignity as I changed in the backseat of the car, we pulled up to a chapel. One of those drive-thru chapels.
"So... emergency or wedding," I asked. "I got twenty on wedding."
"No, this... this isn't Sam's style."
"So... twenty on emergency?"
"You're on," he replied, shaking my hand.
We walked inside, slowly moving down the hall. When one of the lights flickered, we both reached for our guns.
We got to a set of white doors. Dean looked at me as he slowly reached for the door handle. I nodded.
Before he could push them open, they were pulled from the other side. We both aimed our guns at whatever was there.
"Dean, (Y/n)," Sam said, furrowing his eyebrows for a moment. He pushed our guns down. "You guys won't need that."
"I thought you were off becoming one with the land and crap," Dean muttered as Sam led us down the aisle.
He moved us to stand together by a piano. We both ended up with flowers pinned to our jackets.
"Sam, what's going on," I asked.
"Apparently, pink is for loyalty."
"That was a useless answer," I replied.
"Alright, pretext, so what are we, wedding crashers," Dean pushed. "We looking for some kind of siren or what?"
"No, nothing like that," Sam shook his head and stepped back. "Alright, a little sudden, but life is short, so I'll keep this shorter. I'm in love. And I'm getting married."
My heart felt like it went into hell.
"Say something," he pushed us both.
"What," Dean asked.
"Who," I added.
Before Sam could answer, music started playing and a woman in a white dress started walking down the aisle.
And then Sam lifted the veil. Becky.
I scoffed.
Dean and I just watched the disaster unfold.
The happy couple sat down. I leaned on one of the pillars. Dean was pacing.
I felt sick to my stomach. Of all people. He picked his stalker. I would've rather he married Ruby. At least the challenge of killing her would've made me hesitate a little more.
Dean looked at me for a minute. I shook my head, looking down.
"Shouldn't she ask for my permission or something," Dean asked.
"You want her to ask for my hand," Sam said.
"She stalked you," I added. I looked at Becky, who had yet to make eye contact with me. "Sorry. I'm sure you're a sweet girl, but you stalked him."
"How did this happen," Dean asked.
"Short version... we met, we ate and talked and fell in love... and here we are."
"Yeah," Dean replied. "Guess I'm all caught up."
"Becky, what happened with Chuck," I crossed my arms over my chest.
Her eyes stayed focused on Sam, "Some things just don't work out."
I nodded. Sure. At the time- before we knew the truth about Chuck- I was ninety percent sure that she had murdered him somehow.
"You know what," Dean said. "Ignoring everything... have you forgotten the average lifespan of your hook-ups?"
"Yeah, but-"
"But if anyone knows that, it's me," Becky cut Sam off. "I mean, I read every book."
"Becky, this life isn't like reading a book," I said. "There's a lot more that goes into it than book smarts."
"I'm gonna be sick," Dean added after a moment.
"Same," I muttered.
"Dean, look, it's simple," Sam said. "If something good's happening, I got to jump on it. Now, today, period."
"I'm going out to the car," I held my hands up and started walking out.
"(Y/n)," I only stopped because Sam spoke up. "This is a big deal. I thought you'd be more supportive."
I stammered for a moment, not having a response to that. I gave up, shrugging and continuing my walk outside.
I sat in the passenger seat of the car for a minute in silence before hitting the dashboard with my hand.
"Fuck!"
I fell silent again as I leaned back in my seat, staring up at the ceiling of the impala.
Dean walked out a few minutes later.
"Sorry," I muttered. "I... I was convinced I was gonna hit one of them if I stayed."
"You're fine," he replied. "Let's get to the motel and shoot Bobby a call."
"He's on a vamp hunt in Oregon."
"Something tells me this is more important."
As Dean started driving, there was something I just couldn't shake.
"She knew," I finally got out. "Becky knows how I feel about Sam."
"Why would you-"
"Chuck wrote it," I cut him off. "He wrote the moment I fell for Sam. He wrote damn near three pages talking about everything that I loved about him. It was all there. Becky read it. And she still had no problem doing... whatever the hell she did to him."
"Hey," Dean said. "It's gonna be alright. We'll get this figured out, okay?"
I nodded and looked out the window.
--time skip--
We tracked the pair down outside Delaware and the least shocking thing happened.
It was a deal.
Becky had made a deal with a demon and gotten a potion to force Sam into a relationship with her.
Dean and I teamed up with Garth- who was something else but seemed nice enough. We managed to get Becky to help us get to the crossroad demon.
After Crowley's unexpected assistance, the only thing left to do was end the weird-ass marriage.
I was outside, leaning against the impala, waiting for the brothers to head out so we could leave. I think Dean was checking on Garth and calling Bobby while Sam was signing divorce papers.
I was just kind of kicking rocks, wasting time.
"Hey," Sam said awkwardly, leaning on the trunk next to me.
"Hey," I grinned. "How'd the divorce go?"
"First of all, it was an annulment," he replied. I stifled a laugh. "Second of all, it went fine."
I nodded.
We stood there silently for a while. We were just waiting for Dean.
I felt a kind of sick feeling in my stomach. I looked over at Sam for a moment before looking back down at the parking lot. The feeling wouldn't go away.
I had been hunting with them for years now. I never truly considered the chance that Sam would end up settling down with someone that wasn't in the hunting life.
After seeing Sam actually marry someone, I realized that I didn't have any time to waste. When it was Ruby, I could logic my way through it. She was a demon; chances of that lasting were... low. But... it was possible that there was going to be someone that could catch his eye.
"Sam," I said quietly, looking at him again.
He looked over at me, eyebrows raised a little as he waited for me to say something.
I moved quickly so I couldn't talk myself out of it. I leaned over and pressed my lips to his. My eyes screwed shut, terrified of the rejection.
When I noticed that Sam hadn't reacted, I leaned back. I only got a few inches away before he turned his body, cupped the sides of my face, and pulled me back into another kiss.
My hands grabbed onto his shirt as I grinned into the kiss.
I leaned back a few moments later. I grinned at him. He smiled back.
"Sorry," I mumbled.
"Don't be," he shook his head. "I've been waiting for years for that to happen."
"So have I."
His hands moved to my sides, pulling me closer to him.
"So... you were jealous of Becky?"
"She did use a love potion on you," I said. "It was pretty convincing."
He looked down, not replying.
"Yeah, don't be a dick about it," I chuckled.
He leaned over and kissed me again. I wrapped my arms around his neck, chuckling against his lips as he turned us and leaned against the impala again.
"Hey," we both pulled away when we heard Dean shout. "Don't mess up Baby with your make-out session!"
We both just kind of watched him get in the car.
"Finally," he looked at us one last time before getting in the driver's seat.
Sam and I looked at each other, both chuckling before getting in the car. I jumped in the backseat and Sam jumped into the passenger seat.
"What, I'm not gonna become a chauffeur," Dean asked.
"Don't be an ass about this," Sam muttered.
"I've been waiting like seven years for this," he replied. "I'm never going to stop being an ass about it."
I rolled my eyes and leaned forward in the seat, kissing Sam's cheek, "Then, we'll be just as obnoxious."
Sam grinned at me, "I like the sound of that."
I leaned back and buckled my seatbelt.
Yeah, so did I.

Read this article and a few interesting pieces about TWP are coming out. First of all they are flat out admitting now that TWP and TWQ won’t be connected. I mean that’s fair enough, I’m glad they’ve admitted this. After like 4 years or so, and an entirely new cast you cannot call what you are doing a sequel. TWQ and TWP are standalone series.
However this does leave me to wonder what exactly they’ll do with the Richard III stuff because even though he’s dead in TWP, he dominates Lizzie’s thoughts and the majority of the book. For the majority of the book Lizzie is thinking about him and playing the woe is me card.
So now that the two productions aren’t connected what’s gonna happen? Are we gonna have flashbacks of Lizzie and Richard? I mean are they gonna make the audience suffer through more of that? Or are they just gonna scrap the Lizzie and Richard III stuff all together because it went down so badly not only with TWQ viewers, but Philippa Gregory’s book fans?
I’m actually kinda curious to see what they do here. Since they are now admitting this is not a sequel with different actors but rather a standalone, they can pretty much do whatever they want on that front. They could just make it out that Lizzie was loyal to Richard III and that’s why Henry VII distrusts her or they could end up doing gross flashbacks (But hey at least it won’t be Aneurin  playing him right). My heart says they’re gonna end up doing flashbacks or doing some type of mention or allusion to the affair but I want to hold out hope that don’t and just scrap it.
It could be the series really wants to focus on Lizzie and Henry’s “romance” because the Starz preview did show them kissing and fighting. I’m gonna have to wait to see a trailer till I judge more.
Okay but the second most interesting thing that’s coming out of this interview is this line “It takes place over a seven-year period, so it's really quite interesting to play. Lizzie at the beginning of the series is a young woman, and by the end, she's matured. She's had to go through so many things.” This was said by Jodie Comer who’s playing Lizzie.
We now have a timeline of sorts and either Jodie Comer is forgetting what the timeline actually is or their will be a time jump.  TWP does not take place over 7 years, it’s actually 14 years-ish. It starts off in like November 1485 and ends in November of 1499 at the execution of the Earl of Warwick and Perkin Warbeck. That’s not 7 years. Maybe Comer simply misspoke or maybe Emma Frost will make the time of TWP just as confusing at TWQ was. I’m favoring the later.
We know they are going into Perkin’s storyline, we know that Perkin and Katherine Gordon have been casted. So we know that storyline is happening. We also know that the final scenes seem to be happening in Spain which I expected were post-executions and I thought this might actually be them rewriting Elizabeth and Henry’s historic trip to Calais in 1500. I honestly expected them to go right up to Elizabeth’s death, I mean how can one not be tempted to do that? I have a feeling though that maybe I’m wrong about when the trip to Spain takes place and maybe it takes place pre-executions and that it’s their that Henry VII learns from Isabel and Ferdinand that he has to execute Perkin and Warwick if he wants the Spanish alliance.
So what does that mean?
If they are only doing 7 years maybe they are cutting things out and squeezing the events of the timeline down to 7 years. If so what exactly will they be cutting? Children’s births perhaps, maybe they won’t include Princess Elizabeth and Prince Edmund. I could honestly understand the motivation behind that. Maybe they are combining Francis Lovell’s rebellion in 1486 and Lambert Simnel rebellion in 1487. I could see that being extremely possible.
Or maybe they’re going to do a time jump and cut some years out. If so which years? The production only has 8 episodes so in my opinion it would make sense to glance over some years. Still those years still count in the show timeline wise.
Again it could be Jodie Comer misspoke or maybe Frost’s script is confusing her into thinking the show is only 7 years long when it’s much longer. Personally I think that Emma Frost isn’t that good with timeline, TWQ was very confusing to watch to be honest. It was hard to tell how long it took events to occur everything felt very rushed at times. I could easily see how if Frost’s writing hasn’t changed that it might confuse someone like Jodie Comer into thinking that the show was shorter then it actually was.
Their is one thing to look forward to though no Constant Princess it seems. Gregory had an early comment about TWP being about three books again (At the time I speculated it would be TWP, TKC and TCP) but it seems like that idea as been scrapped and we won’t have to suffer through seeing any of The Constant Princess adapted on our screens
